snippets: if we then move even further into the shoe to the insole as you can see we do have this all black insole with the white new balance branding, But if we then just move back up the shoe I've already touched on the differences between the two tongues but on both shoes on the back of the tongue we do have the intelligent choice 5740 always love that detail about new balance it's probably one of my favorite things if I'm honest, But if we then just move inside the shoe itself in terms of the actual sockliner as you can see we do have more of that really nice tonal gray in keeping with the rest of the upper and in terms of the overall padding it feels really nice really well padded it feels incredible on feet I'm gonna be completely honest so in terms of the overall comfort of this shoe zero complaints as I've already touched on the midsole there's plenty of cushion in there the sock liner plenty of cushioning there as well so this is definitely a very very comfortable shoe

snippets: for those wondering how these fit so i'm a true size 10 slightly on the wider side and i wear between a nine and a half or ten in most of my new balance shoes so for these guys i managed to grab both a nine and a half and a ten just to try on both sides because this is my very first 5740 and basically after trying on both i'd recommend going a half size down so in my case nine and a half i felt like the toe box area was very wide foot friendly so i didn't feel any discomfort at all going a half size down
