The Carepod comes apart in just a few pieces and the bowl is stainless steel so it’s super easy to clean. The stainless steel internal lid just plugs into the top so it’s easy to remove and also has an easy to remove silicone gasket that just plugs in again making cleaning a breeze. The float is very easy to remove and clean too, it just plugs in! I haven’t had any issues with the machine at all. It’s thoughtfully designed thru and thru. Not to mention it’s also the most aesthetically pleasing humidifier on the market, it’ll modernize your decor with its minimalist style. The LEDS are pleasing and functional as they double as touch sensitive buttons (easy to clean too)!

It’s a huge time saver and provides peace of mind. It provides A LOT of mist. We didn’t realize we had it on the high setting. When we walked into our toddler’s room, it was foggy and the carpet and bedding were wet. I didn’t realize that the size we bought was for 700 sq ft, not 200 sq ft…. However the lowest setting works well in his room. The floor and bedding aren’t wet and it provides the correct amount of humidity. We can’t decide if we are going to buy the mail size or get this size for the other rooms.

It’s been running every night for two weeks in our child’s room and no sign of the usual gunk that builds up in standard humidifiers (calcium, weird pink/brown film). We fill it up using a big jug and it lasts overnight on the low setting (small bedroom). Would love to see humidity readings (either on the unit or otherwise track on an app) in future. For now, am highly pleased with the performance and ease of operation. Now, just waiting for the bigger unit to come back in stock so we can upgrade the one in our main bedroom - am tired of lugging the water tank back and forth to fill from the bathtub tap every night!

It's easy to use and very easy to keep clean. There are no funky spaces that are hard to access or keep clean. I even had an issue w one and it was passed warranty, but the company did a thorough review and decided to replace mine. Customer service was very helpful and kind. This is an expensive product, but if you sleep with a humidifier, you are probably like me and really really appreciate good performance and design. It is worth the investment for sure!

items 14: content: I just received my Carepod a few days ago. Before ordering, I was a little nervous about getting hit with outrageous fees for duty & taxes. But it seems like these are being shipped directly from Canada (so thankfully, I had no surprises!)
As for the humidifier itself, I was actually surprised about how big it was. I knew it wasn't small, but the aesthetic of it in person is amazing. The setup was super easy too. It comes with a great little infographic for instructions on how to get it going (took me less than 5 minutes). I want to also note how quiet this thing is - that's what inspired me to take a video.
With cooler temperatures now in BC (I know it's nothing compared to some other provinces 😅) I have been turning on the heat in our apartment & figured it would be a good time to invest in a humidifier. I ended up choosing the Carepod specifically because I know you need to clean humidifiers often to avoid a build-up of gunk inside... So if I'm going to be cleaning something weekly, I didn't want it to be a hassle.

I love that I don't have to worry about having filters on hand, but it is sort of a pain to have distilled water on hand at all times to keep up with the fact that we've just added 3 of these humidifiers to our family bedrooms. (1 gal/room/24hrs) so while we don't have the cost of the filters, we ARE spending over $4 per day on distilled water for the 3 machines. I also am looking forward to the ease of cleaning/washing the machines. I can already tell the washing requirements for these are nothing compared to the plastic tanks I was dealing with previously.

I followed advice from Wirecutter back in the day when picking a humidifier, and over the years I’ve determined that the main reason I didn’t use one consistently is because I’m lazy and don’t clean or maintain things properly. This guy is super easy to clean, super easy to use (I just let it run at medium for a little while, or for the 4 hour timer), and looks nice enough that it doesn’t stand out like a big piece of tech. For most people probably overkill, and there are no sensors for maintaining a certain humidity, no app to control it, etc. But for me, as someone who just wants to take the bite of the dry air in winter and think as little as possible about a humidifier, I kinda love it.

All you need to do is, once or twice a season, you can boil the one and only part (forget the name) in the stainless bucket and you are good to go. I highly recommend it. This humidifier is so easy to clean I always can quickly and confidently clean it and leave it without any worry about mold while I’m gone. The ability to boil all of the parts makes all the difference. I would like for the fan to send the mist up higher (it comes out of the side and not the top) but easily fix that by setting it on a small stool by my bed. You also cannot turn off the lights, but they are soft. The longest timer setting is 8hrs which is perfect. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this product and am relieved to be done with humidifiers with too many impossible to clean parts.

It would get an easy 5 star rating if it could somehow change how much water is left in it before it automatically shuts off. You have to put SO much water in it just to maybe go a full four hours, and then it still turns off on its own with about a quarter of water left in it. Not sure how they would fix this issue but it is something that as a user I found super inconvenient. You'd be going through so much distilled water if you were to only use it like 4 hours a day. We have to refill it or it will run dry the second 8 hours. Also we are concerned about using tap water as the obstructions recommend filtered or distilled water. I set the timer for 4 hours. I have not noticed excessive moisture on the floor. I do wish the spout pointed more upwards but that is not a deal breaker for me. I also intentionally do not have anything hanging on the wall near the unit. Seems to be worth the investment !
