snippets: the other thing is we never really love the handling on the original a6000 series bodies but I think they've addressed that here so let's talk about that next so at first glance this camera does have a lot of similarities in size you know to the Sony a6600 but there are some nice improvements here so first thing I noticed the grip is actually a little bit larger and that's something I felt like these always needed and I always complain oh camera grips are too big but this one now feels just about right I also love that we have a front control dial this is something we've been asking for on these bodies for a long time so we don't have to really rely on this back dial now that gives us three overall control dials one in the front one here for my thumb and I still do have this difficult to use one in the back the other thing we're going to say Here auto focus on button this is a huge change something the 6600 did not have I love focusing back button style so I'm glad to see this now, now they've also changed up some of the custom buttons here Jordan never liked the record button being over here on the side where it's really hard to push now they've actually changed that they've moved it to the top of the camera in a more classic approach you still have a custom button here on this side of course you can customize those other two buttons as well one thing I will say here though we don't have an auto focusing joystick and I mean I know there's not a lot of real estate for it if there ever was a camera that didn't really need a joystick I guess it'd be the Sony's just because I tend to use these with expandable tracking spot real-time tracking I just put that wherever I want then recompose but it would still be nice to have some sort of position there what we do have in this general area is now we've got a selector switch that goes under the mode dial it's quite handy and it lets you go between photo video and then you're slow and quick modes now
