detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: Noise cancelling headphones with decent sound quality, options, comfort and a battery that lasts for days (even with heavy use). I find the sound quality is more than reasonable for everyday listening. With the standard setting, music sounds crisp with a little extra bass, there’s also an equaliser in the accompanying phone app if you need to adjust it. The app is also where you can adjust other settings like switching between. ANC, ambient aware and talk through. Although without the app you can still swap modes at the touch of a button. Buttons are easy to find without looking and you get used to their placement pretty fast. They also seal well around my ears and even without ANC they cut out a lot of noise passively just because of how they cup against your head. I’ve not found how to set voice aware up using just the headphones and due to the noise cancelling (even passively) you need this on during calls, or at least I do otherwise I find myself unable to tell what volume I need to talk at. So the app is kind of needed for at least initial setup, after that you can forget it’s there. The build quality isn’t as great as some of its rivals as I’ve found everything has loosened up quite quickly even in a short time (I’ve had them for a little over a month now), while wearing them you don’t notice this as they sit firmly, but when you take them off they tend to flop around even if they’re just around your neck, and as they don’t come with a case this is an issue for storage, however not a big deal as you can just keep wearing them and switch to ambient aware or talk through modes to hear around you if needed.

detailedReviews 2: content: For context, my previous pair of Headphones were reaching the end of their life, and I needed a replacement. I enjoy listening to music, going to the gym, and playing games with friends. While capable of handling each activity, there were quite a few caveats. Here are my thoughts on the JBL Tune 770NC:
- Out of the box, the sound quality is great. The mobile app also offers many customization options to fine-tune the sound to your liking. There is a bit to be desired in bass, which is noted as a primary feature on the packaging.
- ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) and Ambient Aware are very good. TalkThru mode was a little disappointing (volume is significantly dampened while active).
- The microphone quality is incredibly disappointing. During wired-mode, the microphone will become completely disabled.
- I would say these headphones are moderately comfortable in my opinion. I can wear them for maybe 4 hours before I begin to get uncomfortable. It is worth noting that there is no sweat-resistance.
- The charging port is placed in an awkward location, preventing charging during use.
- Very long battery life (even with ANC enabled). Supported by configurable automatic power-off settings.
- Multi-point connection is technically supported, but highly finicky. The headphones often fail to transition between devices, meaning you will likely end up needing to disconnect one from Bluetooth anyway.
TL/DR: Primary features (overall sound, noise cancelling, battery) are relatively good. Many lesser features (microphone, multi-connect, etc) are subpar.

detailedReviews 3: content: While I wouldn't necessarily consider myself an audiophile, I do care about having high-quality headphones, speakers, turntable, tuner, and what-have-you.
I am also someone who resisted purchasing anything with Bluetooth because I liked the purity, the tactileness of long cords and cables. However, that all changed when I purchased the JBL - Tune 770NC.
See, my new phone lacked a headphone jack (which I consider a sin), so I needed a pair of headphones to listen to my music and podcasts while I putter around as a boring audiophile-dabbling suburban dad. I wasn't going to buy earbuds (Yuck!), or on ear (this is yet another audio sin), so I needed over ear headphones. I also didn't want to drop too much cash as I have a pair of Audiotechnica headphones that I have loved for over a decade, so of course whatever I pick up wouldn't become my daily-use headphones -- oops.
The JBL - Tune 770NC are comfortable as all get out (I wear them for hours at a time with only sweaty ears to show for it, but -- then again -- I am a sweater, so you may have a different experience.), and the sound quality is incredible. One feature that I truly appreciate is the JBL app that lets you futz with the headphone's tuning so you can customize them to your ears.
I wear these every day, I love them. No complaints.

detailedReviews 4: content: Had these headphones for less than a month when I noticed the plastic on part of the headband above one of the earcups was cracked. Soon after the headphones stopped charging and do not work at all anymore. I only used these for watching TV. No explanation for the damage other than poor quality. Many complaints of cheap plastic and poor quality and cracking sounds that are curiously absent from the Best Buy website that are easily found from a Google search.
I tried calling the toll free number as well as emailing. If there is any physical damage JBI will NOT honor the warranty. These retail for close to $200. Not worth it even if on sale given that my headphones stopped working after less than one month.
The loophole JBL has in their warranty about physical damage tells me this is a common problem and the poor customer service support in Canada at least tells me that JBL is more concerned with protecting the bottom line than actually support customers. I have owned many types of headphones over the years training for marathons as well as headphones for music and watching TV and have never felt compelled to submit a review like this before.
This was a $200 lesson. I will not buy JBL in the future and pay maybe 50 or 100 bucks more for better quality and customer support.

detailedReviews 5: content: I'm coming from a pair of AKG wired headphones and was currently using them on my pc. They're falling apart and I needed a replacement for them, and the one for my phone, and these felt like the best answer for both. The noise cancellation was the main reason for the purchase and it doesn't disappoint. However, they're a little snug around my ears and have to be JUST right to not be uncomfortable.
The sound quality is great, the head phones are adjustable on both sides, and they swivel so that you can wear them around your neck. They also include a wire if you want that analog sound as well.
Battery life is amazing. I'll charge it every few days, and even if you charge it for a few minutes, you get a great deal of time out of it. It comes with it's own usb-c cable as well.
There's at least three different modes to the heaphones as well. Noise cancelling, background noise on, and talk through. Which felt like cross between both worlds. Also the headphones can be connected to two different blue tooth devices at the same time. So i don't have to snych them over and over.
Overall I'd give them a 4.5. I really wish the cups were a little bit wider for my ears. (note: Googly eyes sold separately)

detailedReviews 6: content: I got my set around a month ago, have always used in ear headphones but lost them or they’d end up hurting.
So I thought I’d treat myself and upgrade to a decent set!
The headphones arrived quickly, and came very well packaged. They looked huge on first glance! Very different to what I was used to.
I tried them on and realised they needed to be lengthened, clicked them into place and actually liked the fact that they covered the whole of my ears.
I turned them on and they connected immediately to my phone. I figured out the volume buttons and the found the noise cancelling button.
Wow! What a difference that made. Very impressed. I tried them for a while and felt they were a decent set of headphones for the price I paid.
I listen to audio books to get to sleep at night and my daughter was moaning she could hear what I was listening to. So that night I turned the headphone upside down and wore them under my chin.
I listened to my book, fell asleep easy and didn’t disturb my daughter! I sleep on my back so the headphones don’t get squashed. I love them.
Sometimes when the rains beating down really hard, and I can’t get to sleep, I put the headphones on with the noise cancelling button activated, and can’t hear the rain even if nothing else is playing.
I’m very happy with the headphones - so pleased I got them.
My only thought is that it would have been nice if they had come with a zipped pouch to pop them in when travelling so they don’t get squished in your luggage.

detailedReviews 7: content: The JBL Tune 770NC headphones are an impressive offering for those seeking excellent sound quality at a reasonable price. Featuring Active Noise Cancellation. , these headphones effectively minimise external distractions, making them ideal for travel or focused work. The sound profile is well-balanced, with deep bass, clear mids, and crisp highs, catering to a variety of musical tastes.
Comfort-wise, the lightweight design and padded ear cups ensure extended wear without fatigue. The 70-hour battery life is exceptional, and even with ANC on, it provides up to 44 hours, outperforming many competitors. Fast charging adds convenience, offering hours of playback with just a short charge.
While the build quality is sturdy, it leans heavily on plastic, which might not appeal to those seeking a premium feel. Additionally, the touch controls can be slightly finicky. Overall, the JBL Tune 770NC is a great choice for budget-conscious audiophiles.

detailedReviews 8: content: Good! Sorry for my poor review as I do not have sufficient knowledge of audio. Other than the unit, it came with an instruction manual, warranty card, a USB Type-A to C cable for charging and a 3.5mm-2.5mm audio cable. These headphones can be wired for sound and sound comparable even when the power is off. Also, the sound quality remains the same whether wireless or wired. The sound quality of these headphones is such that the metallic sounds in the high range are very clear. The mid range and low range are adequate, but not powerful. And the sound is a bit blurred and not as clear as it could be. But the sound quality is good enough to enjoy music. When turned on, the noise canceling feature is enabled. You can also switch to a mode that lets outside sounds in, and you can hear outside sounds better than when the power is off. The noise-canceling function was satisfactory enough, better than my SENNHEISER HD 450BT and comparable to the BOSE QuietComfort25. I am satisfied.

detailedReviews 9: content: I'd love to buy some really expensive headphones - but can't warrant paying out £2-300 for such...but wanted some over-ear 'phones that were going to be both comfortable and have a quality sound. Had these for a couple of weeks now. They're comfortable and fully cover my ears - my preferred choice. The ear cups are soft and don't apply much pressure on the sides of my head. Sound quality is good - but not fantastic. However! Download the JBL App to your phone and you instantly have access to endless graphic-equaliser properties...endless play! The NC feature works well - with them on, and NC engaged, you don't hear much from the outside world. One feature I like is that they have a large 'L' and 'R' on the inside of the ear pads so it's easy to determine which way round they go. I saw these advertised elsewhere at a slightly cheaper price - and Richer Sounds, true to their word, beat that price - and they headphones were already reduced!! Bargain! Can't fault Richer Sounds for price, service and support. Brilliant.

detailedReviews 10: content: The JBL Tune 770NC headphones are a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a blend of great sound, solid performance, and a secure, comfortable fit. While some may find them on the smaller side, this is actually a key strength, especially for those with smaller heads or for children. The snug fit ensures they stay in place, making them perfect for active use or for simply keeping up with kids on their bikes. The sound quality is a standout feature, delivering a powerful and enjoyable audio experience with JBL's signature Pure Bass Sound. The build quality is solid and reliable, proving that you don't need to sacrifice durability for a lightweight and portable design. With impressive battery life and effective noise-cancelling, these headphones provide everything you need for focused listening or hands-free calls without the fuss of a bulkier, more expensive alternative. They do exactly what they need to do, and they do it well.
