And the watch was a lot easier to set up than I expected. Intuitive menus made it simple and connecting it to the app on my phone was a smooth process. I like that the watch tracks my steps and has the tide info. And switching to the larger numbers for just the time is so simple! The watch band fits my wrist really well. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this watch. It's been much easier to use than my Garmin Instinct 2 and I don't need to charge it every couple weeks. I'm glad I went back to Casio and the G-Lide series. They've made big changes since my original G-Lide and it shows. Well done, Casio.

The tide graph and sun rise / sunset, are pretty accurate for my selected port (Newcastle) and when connected to the App, the watch is dead easy to setup and stays accurate to the second. Interval training feature was easier to setup in the App rather than attempting it on the watch. I’d give this 10 out of 10 if it had tough solar charging that feature on other Casio’s.

items 5: content: Speaking as a G-Shock fan and collector I must say that the GBX-100 is a great watch. I was put off purchasing when it was launched because of negative comments regarding the app (g-shock move), but once set up the app works great and although not essential, the app is worth using. The watch feels very solid and is well built. The display is very good in light conditions. In My opinion, the price is worth it just for the usual G-shock toughness and features, then add the benefit of the step counter, activity tracker, tide graph, moon phase, sunrise-sunset, plus phone notifications and you have a brilliant watch.

I like how the time automatically synchs with the time on your phone (once you've downloaded the app and connected the phone and watch via Bluetooth). The step counter/activity monitor is another nice feature. Fits comfortably yet securely on your wrist. The watch is pretty stylish as well. Great price to top it all off.
