detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: This is my first ever JL review I have ever written. I'm not one for writing reviews, but I think this deserves a review. I upgraded my iPhone 14 pro to the iPhone 6 pro and oh my god the iPhone 6 pro is that life changing for someone like myself with severe sight loss. I have yet to discover all the AI features and Apple intelligent and all its capabilities, but tonight I have discovered with my Magnifier which I use quite frequently. You can now scan a product and it will Read it for you. This is amazing and has really helped me massively as my sight has unfortunately deteriorated nearing three years ago. I'm a heavy user on my phone as it helps me navigate life and battery on this phone is amazing - normally I wouldn't believe it when it's the longest battery life ever in an iPhone but seriously Apple have outdone themselves as my battery has been incredible. And that's just a standard pro this is the best purchase I've have made this year. Battery has lasted me all day and has only needed to be put on charge once and then would it ask me right away through to the next day until some point in the next day when it will need charging again. I really hope my comment helps other people with any type of vision officer whether that's partially cited severely excited or totally blind and whatever eye condition you may have because you really can't fault Apple cause they are at their best. A
Pole is the best for those with sight loss :-D

detailedReviews 2: content: This phone is lightning fast, you notice the speed when opening/closing apps and flicking between screens. The main feature is the camera with dedicated camera button. This takes quite a bit of getting used and is pressure sensitive, its quite easy to get the wrong option by either pressing too hard or too soft and sometimes easier to configure on screen instead, plus when you press the button to take a picture that movement can blur the picture so you have to hold it steady. So it takes a bit of practice. Having said that the camera is the best, super clear and 5 times zoom is helpful. The AI feature just released is an enhancement and will take some practice to use, it can summarise blocks of texts, emails, record audio and summarise, filter notifications, prof read and correct your text etc. It is more intuitive than old Siri and is easier to use, you can double tap at bottom and type your query. I'm sure it will get better with future software updates. The battery life on the Pro is great, I can easily get 2 or 3 days without charging. Overall a great phone that will last a few years.

detailedReviews 3: content: I recently purchased the iPhone 16 Pro (1TB).
The phone was advertised as an international version, but I discovered it’s actually the Japanese version. This isn’t an issue overall, but here’s something important to note: Japanese iPhones come with a camera shutter sound that cannot be disabled even when the phone is on silent. This feature is standard in Japan and South Korea to discourage covert photography.
However, outside of these countries, the shutter sound doesn’t activate if your phone is on silent. Since I’m not traveling to Japan or South Korea anytime soon, and I wouldn’t have a problem with the shutter sound even if I did, this isn’t a dealbreaker for me.
The phone is exactly as described—genuine and with the full 1TB of storage. I highly recommend purchasing from this store if you’re considering this iPhone. Just keep the shutter sound detail in mind if it’s relevant

detailedReviews 4: content: The iPhone 16 Pro is an exceptional device that seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with user-centric design. Its sleek titanium frame not only enhances durability but also adds a touch of elegance, making it a pleasure to hold and use.
Since I am a Photography enthusiast, I appreciate the advanced camera system, featuring a 48MP Fusion sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
Battery life has a notable improvement, providing up to 27 hours of video playback, ensuring the phone keeps up with a full day of heavy use. The introduction of faster MagSafe charging is a welcome upgrade, reducing downtime significantly.
In summary, the iPhone 16 Pro is a remarkable smartphone that offers a perfect balance of performance, design, and innovative features.
I loved it from the moment I bought it from John Lewis Nottingham outlet !

detailedReviews 5: content: Love the iPhone. It only took 7 hours with Verizon’s support teams and 2 trips to their stores to resolve the challenges I encountered after my eSIM card was mysteriously deactivated, which was what provoked me to get a new phone in the first place. After this incident, my old iPhone 13Pro would not turn on… would you believe I was advised to use Skype to call in for specialized tech support!?!?! Btw Skype no longer supports phone calls. Thanks Verizon - major communications company- that has no resources except a store for those who only have one phone line in their account and require identity verification before support can assist them. I find this appalling personally. Why is my time expendable? Why aren’t better solutions in place to treat me as if my business were valued at the same premium prices I am paying and have been paying as a loyal customer since 1995. This whole mess was caused by some glitch in their system and after hours of hassle and spending my time with support and going to the store and back - twice - Verizon so generously offered me a $130 credit for inconveniencing me. $10 now and $10/month for 12 months. Let’s look at basic math: loyal customer 1995-2025=30 years. 30 x 12 months/yr=360 months. 360 x $100/month avg= $36,000.00 I have spent with this company, not including equipment, insurance, etc. Granted, I haven’t had many problems BUT now that there is one their $130 means they’re valuing my business as worth $4.33/yr on average ($130 /30 yrs). And I am so insulted that instead of raving about my new phone I’m complaining about the company providing service. I welcome the day AI eliminates the need for Verizon because they will be welcome son that sets on my horizon.

detailedReviews 6: content: I purchased 2 new iPhones, one for me and one for my wife. If there are significant improvements from the iPhone 14 Pros we previously had they must be internal, as the size of the new iPhones is very similar to the old ones. A dedicated camera button is on the side of the new iPhones below the power button. My phone worked fine the day I turned it on and did the info transfers. That was easily done, and didn’t take particularly long. The next morning, however, my phone would absolutely not turn on. I needed to go to the Verizon store to be shown a reboot maneuver to get it up and running. I have never had this problem with any other iPhone I have ever owned, and there have been many. So, I am left with a little concern re my new phone.
My wife’s phone would not go through the transfer process. So, again, I was required to visit the Verizon store to get this step completed. Even though it was a brand new phone, and was, obviously, not working properly, I had to pay $29.95 for the process. I did voice my displeasure about being charged for this, but to no avail!
So, the new iPhones are a bit of a mixed bag. Supposedly, there will be features coming out soon that add to their functionality, but it is concerning that two new phones each had operational issues right out of the box!

detailedReviews 7: content: Phone is in perfect condition! With 100% battery, with 1 cycle. Got a little tiny scratch at the bottom of the screen but no biggie. Phone is sold “AS IS” so if checking apple coverage online purchase date will appear as “April 1, 1978”. What I got is M model, so everything is original with no history of repair. There’s a kind of whiter powdery residue around the edges of the screen and the speaker.. thought it’s an excess glue when you change a phone screen, but wiped it off. Phone was clean, no dents. Charging cable is not an apple brand, I just wish it’s the original cable though.. as you’ll pay 1,199 for this.. but anyway, everything works well, update it to latest ios 18.4.1, still works great. Transfering data is so fast! I expect 2 or 3 hours of time (iphone to iphone) but it only took me 14 mins to transfer my 103GB apps/data from my iphone 14 pro max, really perfect! Thank youuu. Delivery speed, for me it’s kinda slow, wish there’s a one day delivery option for this since it’s a high value item, and it made me nervous everytime UPS is not moving or just stucked in one place for 2 days.

detailedReviews 8: content: I went Pro to get the additional camera - I like taking landscape photos so the wide camera has been great.
Overall it's an awesome phone- what can you say, it's a brand new high spec iPhone so it all works seamlessly and looks great. Transfer of info worked great, and John Lewis was great as a company (and no quibbles on damage when i exchanged my old phone). Read lots of bad news stories on other sites which offered more for my old phone, so decided to play safe with John Lewis for a stress free experience. Was pleased with that choice.
Being hyper critical - the battery life isn't as amazing as I thought it would be, still loads of charge at the end of the day but if you have used the screen a lot in the day it's noticeable. Which is fine when new but may be a problem long term when battery degrades? It is also the largest phone I've ever had and the extra size and weight throws it slightly off balance when trying to do things one handed. Next phone (in hopefully several years!) I will not go bigger and look to go smaller if possible.

detailedReviews 9: content: Moved from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 16 Pro. Mostly done because the trade-in offer was good and I wanted a smaller form-factor. The hardware is the usual apple quality. I like the action button not that I figured out how to display favorite apps via shortcut. Before that it was useless. I’m not sure how great the camera button will be long-term, kind of gimmicky and muscle memory-wise I still use the lock screen button. I had to turn on double press because I kept accidentally opening the camera. Photos seem to be very high contrast at the moment but that brings me to the work in progress part. The software at the time of this review (even on 18.1 beta) feels like a scaffolding to get the phone out the door and on to shelves but it really feels like a good change is coming as it develops. Being on the 18.1 beta, the new siri with AI is much better than old siri in regards to getting useful answers and not just safari links. I’m interested to see what comes later and how it develops. For me it feels like an upgrade from the 13 pro max.

First time buying an iPhone on Shopee. The process was smooth and delivery very quick. Managed to get a decent deal during the 3.3 sale plus a AirTag free gift. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Phone was neatly and securely packaged using a generic outer box so no one will know what it is. Labels do not contain the word iPhone on it which is good. As for the phone, it’s wonderful! Always thought the 120Hz screen might be a bit gimmicky but after using it for a few weeks now, I honestly can’t go back to a normal 60Hz screen anymore. The phone is slightly thicker and heavier than the standard iPhone 16 but that’s because it has a slightly larger battery and more hardware (i.e extra camera). Would I recommend it over the regular iPhone 16? It all depends on whether you can notice the difference in screen refresh rate. If you can’t, then the regular 16 is more than sufficient. But if the 120Hz screen makes a big difference for you. In my opinion, that alone is enough to justify the extra money. Also you do get better cameras, a slightly larger screen and bigger battery. So it’s justified in some ways. Especially if you can get it at sale price. With the tariff wars going on, perhaps it’s the best time to get it now before it cost double 😵💫

detailedReviews 11: content: As I was in the process of activating the new iPhone 16 Pro, it rebooted and went into a “boot loop”: Black screen with the Apple logo, then reboots, then back to the black screen again. I was unable to break the cycle with any of the methods suggested by Apple Support.
I took the phone to an AT&T store and after they took a quick look at it, I was told that I would need to have Apple look at it, as the device has an “obvious software issue”. They said they could not replace the phone. They also mentioned that there would be a ‘restocking fee’. On a defective phone that was shipped to me.
So, I went to an Apple store and explained the situation, where I was told that since AT&T provisioned the new device, THEY would need to replace it. The classic ‘Run-Around’.
Frustrating to say the least, compounded by the fact that you cannot speak to a live AT&T agent on the phone. So, essentially what I received is a broken phone and a list of errands and chores that fall on me.
I returned the new broken iPhone 16 Pro (using the prepaid label that WAS to be used for returning my Trade-In) and would like the new phone replaced at NO ADDITIONAL COST.

detailedReviews 12: content: I recently upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro, the tech equivalent of a Swiss Army knife dipped in moon dust. I was so excited to snag one with 1TB of storage—perfect for my endless photos of sunsets, memes, and that one recipe I’ll never actually make.
Fast forward to unboxing day, and I discover… it’s 128GB. Yes, 128GB—like I’m living in 2015 or something! At first, I panicked. How would I fit my entire life into such a modest space? Would I have to delete my collection of “Dogs Who Look Like They’re About to File Taxes” memes?
But surprisingly, I’m handling it well! It’s been an exercise in digital minimalism. Who knew I didn’t need 17 versions of the same blurry concert photo? Plus, the phone itself is so incredible—it’s fast, the camera is stunning, and the battery lasts longer than my patience on hold with customer service.
So while my “1TB dreams” may have been downsized, I’ve found clarity in chaos. It’s a reminder that sometimes less is more. (Except when it comes to pizza—never less pizza.)
Would I recommend the iPhone 16 Pro? Absolutely. Just double-check the storage before you hit “buy now!” 😊

detailedReviews 13: content: Bought this iPhone as a replacement for an aging Android phone. It was easy to set up, it ties in well with other Apple equipment I have and it was straightforward to connect with the apps I'd previously downloaded. The screen quality is excellent, as is the battery life. The range of available colours was OK - I settled on desert titanium in the end, which was a nice change from black. The phone seems to connect easily with the local mobile phone network and so far the connection hasn't yet dropped. The camera quality is really good, however, I would like to have seen more advanced/manual settings for it. Very little comes in the box (a safety warning leaflet, a SIM card extraction pin and a simple USB-C cable. The only other downside is that the phone is fairly pricey but, as ever, you get what you pay for. Overall very pleased and would recommend, particularly if you're already in the Apple eco-system.

detailedReviews 14: content: I am upgrading from a 13 after 3 years. Desert Titanium in the pictures to me didn't look so pink, with the back glass cover it looks pretty pink, like rose.
The phone is nice and zippy. The facial recognition is way faster. All the new buttons are cool but to me they mean going without a case as they are really small and with a case sort of around then my large fingers can't easily use them. The camera button and zoom slide is pretty neat but I have to learn to use it as this phone without a case is pretty slippery and I am afraid to drop it.
The always on screen burned through battery for me. I turned it off. With that off I was able to change my charge max to 80% in hopes of saving battery condition over time, and so far have plenty of battery for all day. I also found with the screen always on the phone kept unlocking in my pocket based on my apple watch connectivity. Turning off the always on really made sense to me.
Wouldn't upgrade from a 15 but if you have an older version that would make sense to me.

It was definitely past time, but I was not sure about how the transition would go and as always, I was concerned that I would lose some of my "stuff" and was leery about all of the work that would be needed to switch over. Well, I am glad to say that I was wrong about all of that! In short, it went so well, and the transition thoroughly exceeded my expectations. In short, everything went without a glitch and although I need to log in again on many of my apps, I had saved most of that information and that part even went well. I was truly amazed at the ease of the transition and was very thankful that I could do everything from the comfort of my home! I am currently enjoying the new phone and all that comes with it. I was even able to send in my old phone (which was made very easy by Verizon) and received the credit that I was promised. In short, this was a very positive experience, and I am impressed with how far things have come with these types of switchovers. Kudos to all involved!

Despite initiating a return request citing this issue, your team has refused to accept the return. I find this completely unacceptable. As a customer, I am entitled to receive a new and unused product, especially for a premium item like the iPhone 16 Pro. Selling used products under the pretense of being new is a violation of consumer rights and trust.

detailedReviews 17: content: Had an iPhone since the 4. I was expecting the 16 Pro to be the best ever but have found it to disappoint in several of it’s functions! I have lost my mail settings, so much so I couldn’t fix the problem myself. Until I sit down with an Apple Genius I have no mail, very frustrating as they (Apple) keep cancelling appointments!
The worst thing of all about the iPhone 16 Pro is the awful Apps that are added to the IOS software! I don’t like “Sleep Timer” or it’s brother App “Focus”.
It has taken me over a week to find a solution to Sleep Timer, which means my phone turns of notifications between 10pm and 7am! No App to disable, it’s hidden in the operating system as is Focus!
The IOS is set to take your choice away from you and without a Genius to help you you’re stuck hoping to find the solution online (YouTube or Google).
I didn’t enjoy the upgrade as much as my last one. Price seems fantastic so far, after care is okay.

detailedReviews 18: content: The iPhone 16 Pro does not bring anything new that the 15 Pro did not have besides the tetraprism camera module on the non Max size. This was an upgrade from the 14 Pro for the new AI features and camera module since I will be traveling overseas. There is a little quirkiness with the screen and tap and Apple is aware of this so maybe waiting for 18.0.1 would be best if you are looking to pick the phone up. Also make sure you have sufficient storage. I am running 18.1 Beta 5 and Apple AI takes up almost 5 gigs of storage and it is only slated to grow as features are rolled out. The phone itself is only .2 inches larger than the previous generations and it does not feel like it in hand you can see the difference in the app spacing on the screen. The only part that I am disappointed with does not deal with the iPhone but with AT&T locking the device for 60 days from payoff, this policy is barely over a year old and forced me to go buy a second phone for work because I need to use Verizon for my 2nd number and I cannot do that with the 60 day lock in place.

It’s as if Apple users don’t know that android users have the wealth of Gemini at their fingertips already. All you need to do is just say "hey Google." Also, the speech recognition device for Apple is severely lacking and compared to Google.

detailedReviews 20: content: I upgraded from an iPhone 12 Pro to a 16 pro. The process was made so simple by AT&T!
My new phone was shipped very quickly, almost like they were waiting for my order :-) Tracking was included with shipping and it arrived surprisingly quickly.
The instructions were easy to follow for activation and data transfer from the 12 to the 16.
The trade in instructions were simple as well. Caution: a factory reset doesn’t delete your data and apps. The right command is in the same menu for wiping your device, but it isn’t explicitly listed as a separate step.
The trade in value was generous. My 4 year old phone was almost a wash with the expense of the new device. Fair warning… to get this generous trade in, you have to agree to maintain a qualifying contract for unlimited mobile service with AT&T for 36 months and you’ll receive monthly trade in credits to offset the cost of the new phone.
For me, I was happy to make this trade off. I made that commitment so that I could upgrade my phone while also maintaining my mobile service.

detailedReviews 21: content: After the battery life on my old Apple iPhoneSE became unbearable it was time to upgrade. My partner bought the iPhone 15 Max Pro last year for the Optical camera capabilities and truly impressive they are. However the Pro Max is a big phone and the most expensive option in the range. However now that Apple have put the same camera on both the 16 Pro and Pro Max, if you want the optical zoom capability I can't see any point of going further than the Pro. Comparing the two it looks like the only difference (outside the size and cost which are both bigger on the Max Pro) is that the Max has better battery life. But my early experience of the Pro is that it will happily go two days between recharges and over three if I use it sparingly.
So if you are after an iPhone with the optical lens capabilities, this is the one to go for.

Confirmation: 20101424003140
4 of the 5 phones received a $1,000 in bill credits ($27.78/mo. for 36 months).
Why is this one only $350 ($9.73/mo. for 36 months)?
It doesn’t make sense. This specific phone actually had more memory than the other 4 iphone 12’s (256 GB instead of 128 GB)
You advertise that “EVERYONE get’s the new iphone pro on us”! It worked for 4 of 5 phones. Why not this phone?
This happened a few years ago when I upgraded our family to the iphone 12's. One phone got lost after FedEx confirmed it arrived at your processing facility. It took MONTHS to locate and get any credits.
I should be happy the program worked for 4 of 5 phones and know that it would be too good to be true to have everything work smoothly for all 5 phones.

Macro is very good, telephoto is excellent too, as is the wide angle. I wasn't keen on the camera function button to begin with, but now I have adapted to it. detailedReviews 24: content: I upgraded from an iPhone XR. Obviously when you trade for an old iPhone for a newer iPhone there are a lot of similarities between the two. The transition was seamless and this is a positive when upgrading.
The iPhone 16 Pro is similar to my old XR but there are small improvements and a little more speed everywhere you look. They took a good product in the XR and just made incremental upgrades all over. I like the way the time stays lit up when you aren't using the phone on the 16 Pro for instance. The camera is the biggest difference. There is NO comparison between the XR and the 16 Pro camera. Really a night and day difference.
Overall I am glad I upgraded due to the 16 Pro due to all of the upgrades.

detailedReviews 25: content: I upgraded to this phone from a iPhone 14 Pro Max and I am really happy with my upgrade. I appreciate it's not a huge jump in terms of spec, but I wanted to swap over to an AI capable device and have USB-C charging.
Initially, I was concerned that I would struggle with the battery life on this phone vs. the bigger battery in my old max. I needn't have worried. The battery life is great and comfortably gets me through a day with 20/25% left at the end of the day with 6/7 hours of screen on time.
I'm also enjoying the smaller size of the pro over the pro max. This is definitely personal preference, but I find this size more comfortable in my pocket.
My only slight gripe with this phone is that it should have shipped with Apple Intelligence from the start. Hopefully this will land soon.

detailedReviews 26: content: You pay extra money for the international version and they send you the middle east version. Apple only distributes 4 models, where A3292 (received one) corresponds to the Middle East market. The international version should be A3293.
A3083 (United States, Puerto Rico)
A3292, (Bahrain, Canada, Iraq, Guam, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Mexico, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, U.S. Virgin Islands)
A3294 (China mainland, Hong Kong, Macao)
A3293 (other countries and regions).
So, don't pay extra money because of "Misleading advertising" and go direct for the Middle East version because in the end is the product that you will receive and you will be fighting for weeks and noon is not responding to this mistake.

detailedReviews 27: content: The phone 16 pro is certainly an upgrade from my XE (2nd gen). The camera creates beautifully detailed photos. The new camera button on the outside allows for quick and easy access, but sometimes gets in the way or accidentally opens while simply holding the phone or attaching it to the dash mount. The upgraded Face ID makes opening the phone a breeze, which is helpful with the slightly larger screen size that makes typing one-handed somewhat difficult. I love the look of the phone and the color (desert titanium), as well as the magnetic charging and better battery life. I do miss the days of an instruction manual to aid in the learning of all the bells and whistles though. Overall, as someone who doesn’t always understand the technology but certainly enjoys it, I’m satisfied with much needed upgrade from my previous iPhone.

detailedReviews 28: content: Honestly, the ugliest phone I’ve seen. They try to make it appear metallic online so you’ll buy it without seeing it in person, and they have none on display in store to be sure you can’t see how ugly they are. Then it finally arrives, and it looks and feels like a plastic toy cellphone. Because you opened the box (literally the ONLY way to see what these look like in person), Verizon will try to make you pay a $50 restocking fee… because you have good taste and don’t want to carry around your three-year-old’s candy dispensing cell phone that you spent $1500 on. Good grief. At least make it possible to see how disturbingly low-quality the product is before the purchase!
Can’t rate the performance because I was so disgusted when I opened the box and saw a plastic iPhone that I immediately jumped in the car to return it without even attempting to turn it on.

I’m still getting used to the camera button but I like having it. Definitely makes grabbing the phone for a photo more accessible. The new silent mode button can be programmed to do a number of things. Right now I have it set to flash light. Other than that all the standard iPhone things seem to be working well. Processing is noticeably better than my XR and screen resolution is noticeably more vivid. Love the phone so far, hope I can get 6 years out of this one as well. Looking forward to the new AI features when they arrive.

detailedReviews 30: content: Not a fan of this phone. Constantly have to power it down and back up to get things it unlock or work properly. Examples. Voice text or commands will freeze up. Siri will not understand what you were trying to say. Screen freeze up at times. Maybe I just got unlucky with this phone.
Unfortunately, in the past we experienced other issues when purchasing phones through AT&T.
Example our 13 pro max. Was either refurbished and sold to us as new. Or constructed at the factory on a Friday at 3 o’clock. When we brought it in for repairs, we were asked if we ever had it repaired before, to which we answered no, and they found it strange that it never had its magnet in the back of the glass. No clue how this happened. Like I said it could’ve been refurbished or was never installed at the factory. But we did purchase them new through AT&T. And the last few times one of our phones seems to have a problem.

Easy transfer of Apple ID, looks great, performs well, and really does everything I need it to and more! I mean, it’s Apple, so a new phone will be out soon with minor changes and upgrades that 90% of average phone users who are not mobile phone super-users and reviewers won’t notice or won’t utilize. But on the off chance you will use them, definitely go Pro series or better. I really do like this phone. I just wish I had bigger hands that matched my love for bigger screened phones!

detailedReviews 32: content: Bought a new phone from AT&T with an $830 trade-in offer. It was in my cart. I had screenshots. I traded the phone in at the store. Got a receipt confirming the full credit. What did AT&T apply? $350.
Apparently, AT&T’s version of math involves vanishing $480 somewhere between the cart and my bill.
I’ve chatted with reps who confirmed I qualified for the full credit, and I’ve filed a dispute with all the proof they could possibly need. Still waiting on the “system” to catch up.
The phone itself is great. The billing experience? A masterclass in corporate gaslighting.
Moral of the story: Take screenshots, save receipts, and prepare to fight for what was advertised. Because honoring their own promotions seems optional at best.

detailedReviews 33: content: Practically the same as my iPhone 14pro functionally. But there are some nice new touches to the interface and the ability to mesh with all the updates that are built for it. After 3 days of owning the phone the glass on the front suffered multiple scratches from daily use, nothing crazy like dropping it or sliding across a driveway. Just being in my pocket was enough to put a 3/4” scratch in the screen. There is already a delay in the loading times for when the phone receives and alerts a notification audibly vs when it visually shows up on the screen. If it weren’t for battery going bad on my 14pro, I would’ve just kept it. This phone is yet another disappointment in the durability category from Apple.

detailedReviews 34: content: We did the $1,000 credit for old phone exchange for the iPhone 16 Pro with Verizon. On 2 of the 3 phones I had to call Verizon customer service (and go through all the prompts with their AI dude, ugh!). First one, George, was terrific. Spoke good English, and worked through activation to success. Second one, unknown name, no so great. She spoke broken English and after failed activation on 1st IEM, was ready to boot call off to someone when I suggested that "George" was previously successful with using the IEM2 number. Voila! Thank you, George! All in all, fairly painless. Only thing I dislike on the new iPhone 16 Pro is the side buttons are very "touchy!" Otherwise so far it works well with some new enhancements. Total experience & phone I'd rate 4 of 5.

detailedReviews 35: content: Not much different from my old iPhone 13. However, my bill went up about $80 per month despite being told it would go up $5-$10. My first bill went up $150. Keeping my fingers crossed on the next bill. I wish I could go back but it's past 2 weeks. Free phone, I think not.US Cellular said an old promotional credit had expired but it took me 2 visits and 2 phone calls for anyone to be able to figure it out. Would not do it again. The phone is fine with a little longer battery life than the iPhone 13 but be aware you will have to buy a whole new case, screen protector, cords, and adapters because iPhone 16 uses USB-C on both ends, not the lightning connector of the older phones. So the cable supplied does not plug into a regular USB cube.

It’s similar to a bad refurbished phone and it’s not refurbished it’s actually brand new! Though this apple phones battery life is not very long if you listen to music frequently on it, the tiny slither of titanium in the Apple Iphone 16 Pro is all the titanium it takes for this apple phone to be cool because of it’s unique features that are eye catchy for this user that I have not ever seen on an Apple phone prior to this version. detailedReviews 38: content: As these devices go this is probably my favourite new mobile telephone, camera and handheld computer. The integration with Apple software and hardware makes for an excellent user experience meaning that you spend less time staring at the iPhone in favour of easily getting things done and getting on with your day. The camera is impressive in a variety of lighting conditions. I fault this iPhone in that it is too large and cannot be operated single handed in the way Steve Jobs explained for the correct size for iPhone's. Whilst Apple are always telling us how thin devices are the camera bulge is obtrusive!
Despite these design flaws I still recommend this device as it is the best in its class in the modern oversized age.

detailedReviews 39: content: So the last upgrade made my iphone 12 inoperable. That phone was one of the best phones I've had. I was hoping to keep it for a while. But, the download happened and texting ceased to work. Like most people, I use my phone for work, mostly texting, so I had to get a phone fast. And AT&T did get that phone to me fast and I did get a good deal on the phone. However, this phone has been a constant headache. The same IOS system upgrade, the same inability to text. So I guess my next step is to try and replace this lemon of a phone. If I try and text, I have to reset/restart my phone so have been doing that 3-4 times a day. I DO NOT LIKE THIS PHONE. I blame the IOS system but who knows. Another complaint is that AT&T said I would have a $60 upcharge for getting a new phone but instead my bill increased $120.

The iphone Pro 16 is a significant upgrade with a vastly improved battery daily life, a sharper camera, and a size that fits easily into the pocket. There are also plenty of other improvements, yet to be understood and fully used such as AI.
I had very good service and nformation from the sales staff and so transferring of my data and apps from my previous phone was simple as was ensuring I kept my old mobile number. Therefore, no need to to pay for this service. The price paid was competitive, but the phone comes with the reassurance of a two year guarentee. Therefore I can thoroughly recommend this phone despite the expensive price!

I took screen shots of the phone message that says “charging suspended until phone returns to a normal temperature.” I was given the phone back and it still over heats, battery doesn’t last. detailedReviews 42: content: The quality I'd expect from Apple. Easy to migrate data from previous phone. Disappointed that no plug was supplied, which necessitated buying adapters before it could be used. The protruding cameras on the back need protecting, so a case is also essential before use. Some of the software settings are not intuitive and required online videos to work it out as the 'instruction' leaflets are printed with a font so small it's not legible... not even sure they are instructions and could just be tech information. Wired headphones don't appear to work with this phone either. More niggles than previous iPhones, but functionality, form and quality are all excellent.

Tried to take my phone back to Verizon to switch to try a different iPhone 16 pro under the 30 return policy and the manager at the Verizon store lied to me and said if I returned it I would lose my promotional rate I got. The tech at Verizon online suggested to switch them. Some guy at the Verizon store was a total a tool (they won’t let me use cuss words) not the manager and tried to tell me a bunch of crap. detailedReviews 44: content: I have been a user of iPhone's since having had a 3GS many years ago.
This is effectively my first 'large' iPhone as I have tended to settle for the small (Mini) versions in the last 5-6 years of iPhone iterations. So to that extent - at least at the moment - I'm finding it a bit cumbersome. However I expect to get over that with use. Certainly the larger size improves the ergonomics when accessing apps and messaging.
But I'm most pleased about the triple lense camera; results are fantastic! Its performance is so good I'm thinking of ditching my DSLR camera for day to day photography.

First impressions - the transitioning of files and apps to my new device was seamless, the battery life has been fantastic and the camera with 5x optical zoom (and up to 25x digital zoom) is excellent. You have the option to take 24MP or 48MP photos so it'll be exciting trying this out on my travels, as well as for some close-up macro photography. I tested it out zooming into a hallmark on some old jewellery and the detail it picked up was astonishing. The phone arrived within days and it was rather easy transferring everything over from my old phone. I chose to return my trade-in to a local store, but employees at the store told me that they do not accept trade-in phones and they had me call a number to order a return box. Why give me the option during purchase, if local stores are not aware of returning a trade-in? Otherwise, I am completely happy with this phone. The smaller bezels and brighter screen make the experience of using the phone a lot more enjoyable. It took a while to readjust from the notch to the dynamic island, and I still feel it's like a hole in the middle of the screen, especially when watching movies. The camera button on the side is redundant, and I don't really use it much. It's clearly the phone's weakest link, as cases now have a cutout for it, which creates an open gap that the phone can receive the shock from and shatter on impact. Other than that, it's a great device.

I feel as though my phone loses service often, my calls drop, my internet speed when loading and browsing has slowed. When streaming a movie or show it often buffers. Nothing has changed with my wifi and the places I have used my phone so it leads me to believe it is the phone itself. I like that I now have more storage on this phone, but that doesn’t mean much if I feel like I am struggling to use the basic functions. The previous iPhone was not update-able due to battery consumption (based on the model, age, and Apple’s infallible assessment). But I had just replaced the battery. Hey Apple, why don’t you let me decide what iOS I want to install? If my phone is too slow, and I need the newer iOS (v18 required to install the new Apple Watch), then I’ll decide if I can live with slow or need to upgrade. It’s pretty intuitive and incredibly easy to find files or information without needing to browse through every bit of data going.
There are quirks in the way that certain restrictions on the way in which information, such as the phonebook, can be labelled and sorted.
But ease of usage is a must for me and there are an infinite number of apps that can amuse you or increase productivity.

That said, all I’ve heard in the apple commercials is “designed for Apple Intelligence.“. The emoji maker is underwhelming. The first two I tried it said it couldn’t do. It’s pretty generic. I haven’t noticed any improvements with Siri. Still waiting to be amazed (Apple).
I guess I’ll shoot some more video and still with the awesome camera!!!

detailedReviews 58: content: Phone is great, battery life is improved over the prior 14Pro I had. However AT&T typical smoke and mirrors. We pay NEXT upgrade to upgrade early should we choose so and extra $75 to trade in 15 months (half the 36mo term), yet we get $0 valuation for owning and trading in a 50% used phone and we paid more to do so! Yet if we kept the phone or paid in full at time of trade we could get 100% value. Yet this year when upgrade still told us we would get $400 per 14Pro traded, I inquired knowing how the past went. Said if the site stated during the trade process it should be valuated, shocker.... No valuation. All while uping the AT&T Next from $5/mo to $10/mo now. Will purchase phone directly from Apple next.

detailedReviews 59: content: I upgraded from iPhone 13 Mini to iPhone 16 pro and I have to say the following. First off, this is grade A apple quality and we all know and love. Fantastic device. Why do I give it two stars? This phone seems huge next to my 13 Mini and there’s no iPhone 16 Pro Mini. I’m tempted to buy a 13 as a backup. Second, Apple Intelligence? Where? When? Why? I turned this thing on and I can’t tell a difference between normal Siri and this. If you don’t want to make a collage of something ridiculous it get suggestions for grammar I don’t see its worth. I know this is the beta release but Apple made a big deal about it and it’s disappointing.

detailedReviews 60: content: Although the iPhone 16 pro is an excellent phone. I was disappointed with the fact it still ended up costing me for the next 36 months even after trading in 2 IPhone 14 Pros' in excellent condition. If a promo says "get an IPhone 16 pro on us with trade in or get an iPhone 16 pro on us w/trade in of phone in any condition". I expect to get an IPhone 16 pro free. I did receive a decent discount, but it wasn't "free". Prior to this incident. I have been very please with AT&T's service and have even recommended AT&T to many friends. This just left me feeling like an old "bait and switch" scheme had taken place. Perhaps I missed something in the "fine print", but still, it felt wrong.

detailedReviews 62: content: -The iPhone keyboard is different and difficult to text due to its design choices and how it handles touch input, it mispresses and has a perceived lack of tactile feedback compared to android keyboards. The number row, for example, is not directly accessible on the main keyboard, requiring a tap to switch, which can be less efficient than some Android keyboards. Additionally, the iPhone's touch screen requires precise finger placement to erase and text, auto-correction could be a helpful feature, but it's also be frustrating when it misinterprets a word, it's really hard to type.
-The battery drains too quickly, i don't know if it's from the heavy use, background app activity or software issues.

I like the high-resolution smooth 120Hz OLED screen, which provides deep contrast, and vibrant colors—all in a size that can still fit comfortably in your pocket.
One of my favorite features is the Night Stand Mode (aka StandBy mode), activated when it's docked horizontally on a MagSafe charger is one of my favourite useful features. The screen transforms into a sleek, full-screen (low light) clock - perfect as a bedside clock.

detailedReviews 65: content: I opened the box and there was only a charging cord in the phone box, no base plug. Because Apple has changed the charging cords yet again, I didn’t have a base that would fit the new cord. Thus, I had a new expensive phone and no way to charge it. This is a problem with Apple, not Verizon though they weren’t particularly nice about it either.
Nor did they warn me that I wouldn’t have the charging base in my thousand dollar new phone.
I was annoyed to buy a phone at all; I could have just replaced the battery on my IPhone 11 but was told I’d have to wait 7 weeks to get a new battery from Apple. Money grubbing company.

detailedReviews 66: content: I've given this a one star rating, not because I don't like my new phone. It's great. But I traded in an iPhone 12 and the estimated trade-in value based on my answers (which I answered truthfully) was (and still is) $830. But now I understand that I may not see my actual final trade-in value for another month or two. My hunch is that AT&T thinks that by then I'll be happy to see any level of trade-in value and I'll accept whatever they throw at me. It's not like I can change my mind at this point anyway. I hope I'm not just being cynical, but I know how these things often work.
I may change my rating at a later date if their final trade-in amount is in line with their estimate.

detailedReviews 92: content: In terms of functionality, this phone is very good. The cameras function awesomely, and its processing power is amazing on higher demand apps.
Unfortunately, there are some drawbacks:
* as shipped the “button” on the lower right is too easy to press, and it defaults to turning on the battery draining camera. So, until you change the functionality of that button in settings (which is not hard to do), be prepared for many unexpected camera activations to drain your battery and leave you stranded with little or no battery power left.
* if you use a QI charging mat (like found in most modern cars), you’ll find this phone cannot maintain enough contact to charge. This is due to the three camera lenses protruding from the phone far enough to leave a gap between the phone and the mat. The gap is small enough that most charging mats detect the phone and seem like they start charging … but then stop charging quickly because the gap is too large to maintain a solid enough connection between the phone and the mat. The same issue occurs with taller bedside chargers. If you have a shorter “standing” bedside charger, it will work if the phone’s camera lenses can rest above the top of the charger’s surface area. If not, we found that laying the phone sideways on such a charger does work.
Overall, I’m happy with the phone, but the engineering of the phone’s camera form factor should have been thought out better. The UX team also need to pay a bit more attention to the software for the physical buttons … or at least change the default shipped settings for such.

I placed them side by side to see the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz screens; the difference is noticeable, but even if it didn't have it, it wouldn't bother me at all (companies create needs for us that we essentially don't have). The camera works wonders, and I haven't even tested it in demanding situations yet. The battery lasts a day comfortably, but it's the classic Apple battery that sooner or later will need charging twice a day, which is ridiculous for the phone's price (it should have at least 4000mAh for such a price). In the unnecessary features, I would add the action button (I already miss the old good silent button) and the zoom on the right side of the phone; apparently, Apple is trying to add unnecessary things to inflate prices. Not to mention that because of this, a part of the side remains exposed in protective cases, making it very easy to get scratched even with a case! Another thing that I personally didn't like so much, maybe because I have to get used to it, is the size. I'm a fan of more compact phones and loved the small and ideal size of the 11 Pro. Other than that, it's a premium device that is NOT worth getting if you're satisfied with just a very good camera and don't want a professional one. Get the 16; the only difference is in Hz and the camera (and it's smaller in size). Finally, I should mention that I think it's worth the upgrade if you have a device from iPhone 12 and below. If you have an Android, don't think too much about it; no Android will accompany you like a soldier for 5+ years tirelessly like these

detailedReviews 94: content: It’s okay. I was forced to upgrade due to security compromise on my last phone, which I only had about 14 months. There’s nothing really more special about this phone than that one in my opinion (iPhone 14 pro max). I actually think the display size is too small for typing and things, it’s not very accessible. I downsized to this screen size because the pro max seemed overtly big (my last phone). I wish there was an in between, or they just resized both models. The new iOS is very confusing to me. Even within the settings, it seems problematic and unnecessarily confusing. I’m a millennial, so I’m on a spectrum of what knowledge I “should” have with general tech use. Next, I am a photographer and the extra photo button on the side doesn’t really do anything for me. It’s still a great camera, but it’s not better than the 14, and the extra button doesn’t make using said camera, any greater. I don’t think this phone is worth the hype overall, I only needed a new phone and it made most sense for my personal usage and financially, to get this 16 (promotions and things considered, etc). However, if you could function in today’s world without a smart phone (it’s more of a hassle to not have one now), I wouldn’t have gotten it. I tend to agree with the sentiment of what a professor once told me - in twenty years, we’ll look back on all these devices and tech upgrades like we do now with smoking. Meaning not in a good light. They just aren’t good for our well-being and how the human brain works at the core. Thus, I am a reluctant participant. And when it’s almost a requirement to have a smart phone today, Apple needs to make their products more cost effective and accessible. The average person cannot afford these phones, yet we not expected to live and function in the current world without one. Example, needing a stupid app to pay for parking. Instead of trying to constantly make the latest phone, Apple should be focused on making their current technology and products affordable for the majority of the population. I went broke getting this phone for a reason that wasn’t even my fault (faulty system or phone, somehow on the 14 one - I had never been hacked like that in my life). I shouldn’t feel I have to sell a limb to afford something everyone is now expected to have and use. I sincerely hope that twenty years thing comes sooner. One direct positive I will say, the battery life is top notch.

detailedReviews 95: content: Traded in an iphone 6s for an iphone 16. Nominally, the 16 is faster, has longer battery life, a better camera and a better screen. In day to day use though, I don’t notice much except that the 16 is too big, heavier, and somehow they’ve managed to screw up the volume adjustability such that alarms are too quiet while the lowest volume setting for actual audio is too loud. Yes, you can adjust the settings, but you can only fix one issue at the expense of another. The face ID works well, but fingerprint ID is better, more secure and more flexible because you have to choose to put your finger on the button whereas faceID will just activate instead of asking “do you want to use faceID to approve this purchase?,” etc. All in all, if the 6s phone were still supported by all of the apps and web sites that I really need, I would switch back to it without hesitation. Apple’s decision to stop offering a “mini” size, stop offering fingerprint ID, and their failure to code in flexibility for audio volume(s) are hugely disappointing. All of those problems annoy on an almost hourly basis, and far outweigh the other gains they’ve made. Almost all of the issues (except size and the bulky camera covers sticking out into space) could be fixed via software, so there is hope. On the other hand, if you’ve already moved beyond the iphone 8 you’re already living with all of these issues, so might as well get a 16 if you’re in need of a new phone (I also read about glitching, problems with robustness and drops….I have seen none of these - it’s solid, just has lost what the 6s and 8 had).

detailedReviews 96: content: Terrible connectivity. It barely connects and often has to be reset. iPhone 12 mini was substantially better, as is an iPhone 6S I still have. I've had numerous incidents with the phone not being able to connect to my alarm company. Also, the updated passwords protocol/situation has locked me out of basically everything. I've wasted an enormous amount of time resetting passwords and contacting companies due to lockouts.
The camera takes better photos, but it is also prone to being opened unintentionally due to the dedicated camera button on the side. Overall, it's terrible at basic connectivity. I did port over all of my data when I set it up. However, despite purchasing the 1TB version, I've had to manually re-download music. Anything I didn't specifically download as a purchase via iTunes was deleted and appears to be not allowed on the phone. As a professional musician, that eliminated a few thousand demos and many albums imported from purchased compact disks in the past.
If I hadn't traded in the iPhone 12 mini, I would gladly return to it rather than this iPhone 16 pro. A couple of things that do seem to be improved are display resolution and brightness. Like I said, the camera takes slightly better photos. The camera zoom is also better. Connectivity, for WiFi, 5G, LTE, and GPS is all noticeably inferior to the iPhone 12 mini that this has replaced.

detailedReviews 97: content: Solid S year upgrade.
I generally prefer upgrading during an S year where there is a consolidation of features rather than having new untested features. And this is the year I upgrade from my 13.
Apple intelligence is not a factor in my purchasing decision, it's not available on release, might add half a star due to it and unless it makes Siri worse than it currently is I can't imagine subtracting a star for it.
Pros
Thin bezel is visually striking
Performance and battery both seems good, similar to the upgrade from 12 to 13
Camera is solid, new photographic style actually let me customize a default style where there are shadows and contrast
Usb C, bye Lightning
Camera button is nice to launch the camera app reliably so I can map the Action Button for something else.
Cons
The bezel being so thin causes issues with using this phone without a case which was the original intent
A case is also needed due to how large the camera bump is this year. It does not feel comfortable sitting on a table without a case
Zoom camera really underwhelming compared to Android counter parts
Camera button not particular useful IMO for adjustments, quicker with touchscreen
Camera button not good for taking pictures, requires probably 3-4 times as much force as my mirrorless to press. Results in change of framing.
iOS 18 has been fairly buggy early on, no deal breakers but some annoyances
8GB RAM instead of say 12, feel like the Pro should get more.
I feel like this is a good year to upgrade if you are starting to have performance/battery issue with your old phone. But if you like to jump in for new features this seems like a year to pass. I'm firmly in the former camp and would much prefer year 2-3 of a package after refinement and consolidation which this seems like.

detailedReviews 98: content: I ended up cancelling my order because they have a $35 upgrade fee. I called to see what that even entailed and my wait time was 2+ hours so I hung up. Ended up chatting online with someone and they told me that the “upgrade fee” helped offset the money AT&T could “possibly” lose if I were to upgrade. Been a customer for 20+ years now, since the Cingular days, and they treat me like absolute garbage. So, I’m switching to Verizon here soon because they offer a much better deal. DO NOT believe the ads that state “new and current customers can get the same deal” because that is 100% false. Current customers pay more for whatever reason and they cannot explain it to me. So, as a loyal customer I cannot even upgrade unless I pay some absurd fee that doesn’t even make sense. If you’re a new customer then you don’t have to pay the “upgrade fee” which is weird and totally makes their claims of getting the best deal 100% false. AT&T won’t even attempt to work with a current customer, the chat person even said that it’s smarter to switch to Verizon because they are cheaper. This is what a loyal customer of 20+ years gets. An old phone and if I want a new one they sneak all kinds of fees in o you’re actually not getting any type of deal. Go to Verizon, it’s gonna cost me $100.99 a month to get the new iPhone and I get Apple Music, a tablet, and the smart watch 100% free. Sad that this is how AT&T wants to treat customers that have been with them this long. Be smart, go to Verizon or any other carrier because they actually care about your business compared to how AT&T cares about mine. What a waste of 20+ years only to get treated like absolute garbage.

detailedReviews 99: content: For transparency - I'm coming form a iPhone 13 Mini and my iPhone 16 Pro 128 GB was not purchased through PB Tech, as at the time of purchase they were not selling it without signing up with a contract with one of the telcos.
If you are reading this review you have probably already decided that you are in the market for a new iPhone and have probably done your own research and read other reviews. this iPhone is nothing revolutionary it has an extra button compared to the prior versions, which opens the camera app and changes some camera settings, its handy, personally I like it, but its not earth shattering. the battery life is good I get through a full day form about 6:30 to 22:00 with about 20%-30% battery remaining, which is good compared to my last iPhone. The screen is beautiful, the colour is amazing but don't kid yourself most people slap their new iPhone in a case and never see the colour again. The always on screen is nice when it's sat on your desk but otherwise not a game changer. Most of the other changes are in the software and if you are in the apple ecosystem and have a moderately new iPhone you already have a lot of these features. In summary coming from a iPhone 13 mini I appreciate the upgrade but if I was coming form a newer phone I think the price would be more difficult to swallow, not that its easy now.

detailedReviews 100: content: Bluetooth does not connect!!! I have tried everything possible and still won’t connect. Also called Verizon, Apple and the manufacturer of my car. All I got was the run around. The manager was full of it too. It has to be the phone because my old phone worked with iOS 18, my daughters iphone 15 works with iOS 18 but my iPhone 16 pro will not connect. I am going to try to exchange it again and if they won’t do it I am going to call Verizon. So I would not recommend the iPhone 16 pro.

detailedReviews 101: content: I opened the box and there was only a charging cord in the phone box, no base plug.
Money grubbing company.

detailedReviews 102: content: There is no way that i can find to get my music onto my iphone. i have hundreds of CDs and spent hours ripping them all onto my computer. I was able to easily transfer all of them Samsung music and listen on Galaxy S21. Apple, however, seems to think I should repurchase all the music I already own in order to listen to it on Apple Music. For that reason alone, I'm giving it 1 star. I am past my return window or it would be going back. Also, i was sold on the fact that the iphone has a superior camera. that isnt true either. AND - I can't email a picture as a jpg to anyone. I guess I didn't realize how controlling Apple is. Will be going back to Android next phone

detailedReviews 103: content: Very disappointed in the camera. Far away shots look professional, but close up shots and selfies are terrible quality. The way it auto adjusts to lighting changes the quality of the photos and there doesn’t seem to be a way to turn it off. The picture will look crystal clear through the screen but as soon as you capture, the photo looks different. With that being said, daytime photos are better than nighttime photos. Capture is also very delayed. I’ve tried looking up solutions, but there seem to be any.

detailedReviews 104: content: This new iPhone 16 Pro Max drops calls constantly!! I have used iPhones exclusively for the past 15 plus years. I have spoken with Apple 4 times regarding the issue and opened 4 cases with Verizon, all within the past 5 or 6 weeks with no resolution to the issue. Apple blames Verizon and Verizon is unsure if it is their network issue or Apple's phone issue. Regardless the iPhone is JUNK!! Apple has a 14 day return and they refuse to replace it so I'm stuck with this overpriced defective iPhone. Save your money and don't buy the 16!! I would give ZERO stars if possible. I ordered a phone that was clearly advertised as having FaceTime, but the seller sent me a version without it. This is completely dishonest and misleading. It’s a scam. I trusted the listing, but now I’m not even sure if I’ll get my money back if I return it.
