detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: This is my first ever JL review I have ever written. I'm not one for writing reviews, but I think this deserves a review. I upgraded my iPhone 14 pro to the iPhone 6 pro and oh my god the iPhone 6 pro is that life changing for someone like myself with severe sight loss. I have yet to discover all the AI features and Apple intelligent and all its capabilities, but tonight I have discovered with my Magnifier which I use quite frequently. You can now scan a product and it will Read it for you. This is amazing and has really helped me massively as my sight has unfortunately deteriorated nearing three years ago. I'm a heavy user on my phone as it helps me navigate life and battery on this phone is amazing - normally I wouldn't believe it when it's the longest battery life ever in an iPhone but seriously Apple have outdone themselves as my battery has been incredible. And that's just a standard pro this is the best purchase I've have made this year. Battery has lasted me all day and has only needed to be put on charge once and then would it ask me right away through to the next day until some point in the next day when it will need charging again. I really hope my comment helps other people with any type of vision officer whether that's partially cited severely excited or totally blind and whatever eye condition you may have because you really can't fault Apple cause they are at their best. A
Pole is the best for those with sight loss :-D

detailedReviews 2: content: This phone is lightning fast, you notice the speed when opening/closing apps and flicking between screens. The main feature is the camera with dedicated camera button. This takes quite a bit of getting used and is pressure sensitive, its quite easy to get the wrong option by either pressing too hard or too soft and sometimes easier to configure on screen instead, plus when you press the button to take a picture that movement can blur the picture so you have to hold it steady. So it takes a bit of practice. Having said that the camera is the best, super clear and 5 times zoom is helpful. The AI feature just released is an enhancement and will take some practice to use, it can summarise blocks of texts, emails, record audio and summarise, filter notifications, prof read and correct your text etc. It is more intuitive than old Siri and is easier to use, you can double tap at bottom and type your query. I'm sure it will get better with future software updates. The battery life on the Pro is great, I can easily get 2 or 3 days without charging. Overall a great phone that will last a few years.

detailedReviews 3: content: I recently purchased the iPhone 16 Pro (1TB).
The phone was advertised as an international version, but I discovered it’s actually the Japanese version. This isn’t an issue overall, but here’s something important to note: Japanese iPhones come with a camera shutter sound that cannot be disabled even when the phone is on silent. This feature is standard in Japan and South Korea to discourage covert photography.
However, outside of these countries, the shutter sound doesn’t activate if your phone is on silent. Since I’m not traveling to Japan or South Korea anytime soon, and I wouldn’t have a problem with the shutter sound even if I did, this isn’t a dealbreaker for me.
The phone is exactly as described—genuine and with the full 1TB of storage. I highly recommend purchasing from this store if you’re considering this iPhone. Just keep the shutter sound detail in mind if it’s relevant

detailedReviews 4: content: The iPhone 16 Pro is an exceptional device that seamlessly blends cutting-edge technology with user-centric design. Its sleek titanium frame not only enhances durability but also adds a touch of elegance, making it a pleasure to hold and use.
Since I am a Photography enthusiast, I appreciate the advanced camera system, featuring a 48MP Fusion sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
Battery life has a notable improvement, providing up to 27 hours of video playback, ensuring the phone keeps up with a full day of heavy use. The introduction of faster MagSafe charging is a welcome upgrade, reducing downtime significantly.
In summary, the iPhone 16 Pro is a remarkable smartphone that offers a perfect balance of performance, design, and innovative features.
I loved it from the moment I bought it from John Lewis Nottingham outlet !

detailedReviews 5: content: Love the iPhone. It only took 7 hours with Verizon’s support teams and 2 trips to their stores to resolve the challenges I encountered after my eSIM card was mysteriously deactivated, which was what provoked me to get a new phone in the first place. After this incident, my old iPhone 13Pro would not turn on… would you believe I was advised to use Skype to call in for specialized tech support!?!?! Btw Skype no longer supports phone calls. Thanks Verizon - major communications company- that has no resources except a store for those who only have one phone line in their account and require identity verification before support can assist them. I find this appalling personally. Why is my time expendable? Why aren’t better solutions in place to treat me as if my business were valued at the same premium prices I am paying and have been paying as a loyal customer since 1995. This whole mess was caused by some glitch in their system and after hours of hassle and spending my time with support and going to the store and back - twice - Verizon so generously offered me a $130 credit for inconveniencing me. $10 now and $10/month for 12 months. Let’s look at basic math: loyal customer 1995-2025=30 years. 30 x 12 months/yr=360 months. 360 x $100/month avg= $36,000.00 I have spent with this company, not including equipment, insurance, etc. Granted, I haven’t had many problems BUT now that there is one their $130 means they’re valuing my business as worth $4.33/yr on average ($130 /30 yrs). And I am so insulted that instead of raving about my new phone I’m complaining about the company providing service. I welcome the day AI eliminates the need for Verizon because they will be welcome son that sets on my horizon.

detailedReviews 6: content: I purchased 2 new iPhones, one for me and one for my wife. If there are significant improvements from the iPhone 14 Pros we previously had they must be internal, as the size of the new iPhones is very similar to the old ones. A dedicated camera button is on the side of the new iPhones below the power button. My phone worked fine the day I turned it on and did the info transfers. That was easily done, and didn’t take particularly long. The next morning, however, my phone would absolutely not turn on. I needed to go to the Verizon store to be shown a reboot maneuver to get it up and running. I have never had this problem with any other iPhone I have ever owned, and there have been many. So, I am left with a little concern re my new phone.
My wife’s phone would not go through the transfer process. So, again, I was required to visit the Verizon store to get this step completed. Even though it was a brand new phone, and was, obviously, not working properly, I had to pay $29.95 for the process. I did voice my displeasure about being charged for this, but to no avail!
So, the new iPhones are a bit of a mixed bag. Supposedly, there will be features coming out soon that add to their functionality, but it is concerning that two new phones each had operational issues right out of the box!

detailedReviews 7: content: Phone is in perfect condition! With 100% battery, with 1 cycle. Got a little tiny scratch at the bottom of the screen but no biggie. Phone is sold “AS IS” so if checking apple coverage online purchase date will appear as “April 1, 1978”. What I got is M model, so everything is original with no history of repair. There’s a kind of whiter powdery residue around the edges of the screen and the speaker.. thought it’s an excess glue when you change a phone screen, but wiped it off. Phone was clean, no dents. Charging cable is not an apple brand, I just wish it’s the original cable though.. as you’ll pay 1,199 for this.. but anyway, everything works well, update it to latest ios 18.4.1, still works great. Transfering data is so fast! I expect 2 or 3 hours of time (iphone to iphone) but it only took me 14 mins to transfer my 103GB apps/data from my iphone 14 pro max, really perfect! Thank youuu. Delivery speed, for me it’s kinda slow, wish there’s a one day delivery option for this since it’s a high value item, and it made me nervous everytime UPS is not moving or just stucked in one place for 2 days.

detailedReviews 8: content: I went Pro to get the additional camera - I like taking landscape photos so the wide camera has been great.
Overall it's an awesome phone- what can you say, it's a brand new high spec iPhone so it all works seamlessly and looks great. Transfer of info worked great, and John Lewis was great as a company (and no quibbles on damage when i exchanged my old phone). Read lots of bad news stories on other sites which offered more for my old phone, so decided to play safe with John Lewis for a stress free experience. Was pleased with that choice.
Being hyper critical - the battery life isn't as amazing as I thought it would be, still loads of charge at the end of the day but if you have used the screen a lot in the day it's noticeable. Which is fine when new but may be a problem long term when battery degrades? It is also the largest phone I've ever had and the extra size and weight throws it slightly off balance when trying to do things one handed. Next phone (in hopefully several years!) I will not go bigger and look to go smaller if possible.

detailedReviews 9: content: Moved from an iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPhone 16 Pro. Mostly done because the trade-in offer was good and I wanted a smaller form-factor. The hardware is the usual apple quality. I like the action button not that I figured out how to display favorite apps via shortcut. Before that it was useless. I’m not sure how great the camera button will be long-term, kind of gimmicky and muscle memory-wise I still use the lock screen button. I had to turn on double press because I kept accidentally opening the camera. Photos seem to be very high contrast at the moment but that brings me to the work in progress part. The software at the time of this review (even on 18.1 beta) feels like a scaffolding to get the phone out the door and on to shelves but it really feels like a good change is coming as it develops. Being on the 18.1 beta, the new siri with AI is much better than old siri in regards to getting useful answers and not just safari links. I’m interested to see what comes later and how it develops. For me it feels like an upgrade from the 13 pro max.

First time buying an iPhone on Shopee. The process was smooth and delivery very quick. Managed to get a decent deal during the 3.3 sale plus a AirTag free gift. Overall it was a wonderful experience. Phone was neatly and securely packaged using a generic outer box so no one will know what it is. Labels do not contain the word iPhone on it which is good. As for the phone, it’s wonderful! Always thought the 120Hz screen might be a bit gimmicky but after using it for a few weeks now, I honestly can’t go back to a normal 60Hz screen anymore. The phone is slightly thicker and heavier than the standard iPhone 16 but that’s because it has a slightly larger battery and more hardware (i.e extra camera). Would I recommend it over the regular iPhone 16? It all depends on whether you can notice the difference in screen refresh rate. If you can’t, then the regular 16 is more than sufficient. But if the 120Hz screen makes a big difference for you. In my opinion, that alone is enough to justify the extra money. Also you do get better cameras, a slightly larger screen and bigger battery. So it’s justified in some ways. Especially if you can get it at sale price. With the tariff wars going on, perhaps it’s the best time to get it now before it cost double 😵💫
