detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I have had this range for two years. It was not an option to choose another company as the builder supplied the appliances. The first range they supplied had a problem with the temperature gauge and would not heat properly. The builder replaced it. The second worked ok as long as I did not try and use it as a dual range. Anything placed on the top oven burns on the top because the heating elements are on the top and close to whatever you place in there. This range was working ok until about the middle of December 2023. I noticed that the temperature was not working correctly because everything I tried to cook took about 25 minutes longer than the recipe time. On Christmas Day, I preheated the oven before getting ready to place a ham inside. When I opened up the door, flames were shooting out of both opening where the heating element is located. I shut the door immediately and turned off the gas. I waited a few seconds and opened the door, the flames were smaller but still burning. I used baking soda to put out what was left. I called Samsung that day. A repair person from servicequick was sent out the following Thursday. He spoke little to no English. After taking the range apart, through his translator on his phone, he told me that there was nothing wrong with my Range. He blamed the problem on a grease fire. There was NO grease on the inside of my range. There was baking soda everywhere. My range was very clean. I find it hard to believe that the somehow grease got through the bottom liner of the range when everything else was immaculate. He told me I could now use my range. Really..... I'm afraid to turn it on for fear of what might happen this time. I know there is a class action suit against Samsung for problems with the temperature controls on their ovens. I guess I'm going to have to join that to get some satisfaction form this company.

I bought another model thinking it was better than the first and it is the same problem. The knobs have started falling off in less than 3 years. I am also getting error message C-31 and I cannot open my oven. This product is useless. I will not recommend it to anyone or any of their product. Unfortunately, all my kitchen appliances are Samsung. Samsung, fix this mess and compensate your customers.

Oven doesn't get up to the temperature you set, I have to put it at least 25 degrees higher just to get it to cook right. And then sometimes the oven just randomly shuts itself off! You're baking and then bam, oven's randomly off! How can Samsung be THIS terrible at making an oven? My grandmother's oven is over a hundred years old and still works just fine!

detailedReviews 4: content: We Brought this stove along with the matching refrigerator (4-door flex zone) because of its feathers and sleek design only found with Samsung. As nice as they looked when new that didn't last long. Within the first year the black coating started to peel off! We called Samsung and the extended warranty through Lowes and were told that it was cosmetic and was not covered by any warranty, tell me who wants to spend that much money on appliance that looks like crap within the first year!!! We also had to have the clock panel replaced and this was Luckly covered by the extended warranty. The stove never did bake/roast correctly I either had to up the temperature by 25 degrees or more or cook everything longer then required. Not sure if I would ever by a Samsung product ever again.

detailedReviews 5: content: I am a true Samsung fan. I would have everything Samsung if I could. This oven replaced an average brand(had that one for 12 years without any problems) before that brand had stopped working because I wanted better. The model is pretty, with multiple features. I am disappointed in a few things.
*The piece that separates the ovens is large and bulky. Yes it needs to be, but there is not where to put it in the oven. The drawer underneath the oven isn't even close in size, so it leaves you to find a counter space that you will probably need for food prep.
* I found that there is a slight learning curve to cooking with convection (the reason I wanted this one), not terrible, but be prepared.
In light of that statement, it was not me but the thermostat that was faulty. I believe there would still be a little learning curve.
Leading me into the next set of problems
Fans became increasingly noisy at about 6months, but had not been "normal" since purchasing.
I didn't know this because I never had this type oven. Thank goodness I bought an extended warrantee. Both fans were replaced, along with the thermostat and ignitor(after the third visit from the repair people) After the second visit the oven smoked a noxious black smoke prompting the third call. The house smelled for days and so did the microwave oven that sits above the oven. ( No, I was only cooking little cheese sticks, nothing that splatters.) I am a little wary to try my oven again but soon I will.
Still love Samsung products. I am hoping this one is ok now. Did not expect something like this from Samsung especially in a oven that was just 1 year old, and again I hope its just a LEMON that is now fixed. Oh and buy the extra warrantee from your dealer. I couldn't even get through to Samsung without a long wait on the phone, I just hung up.

detailedReviews 6: content: i would leave zero stars if i could. this is my third double oven stove. i loved the first two that i had in other homes. i read many, many reviews of this one before purchasing. nowhere did i see that the top oven only does convection, and the bottom oven cannot do over 375 degrees. for me, it is useless. i will take the divider out and use it as a single oven until i can find a true double oven. i had a single oven that worked fine, but wanted the double oven so that i could bake at two different temperatures. this does not do that. if you need to bake something at over 375 degrees, without convection, you have to use the whole oven. it was a very expensive lesson. hopefully, i will be able to sell it for a reasonable price.

detailedReviews 7: content: the double oven is usless because everytime i try to use just the top oven it burns everything because it uses the broil flame even after selecting the bake option. the size of the upper oven places your food to close to the flame causing food to burn. my suggestion to samsung would be to eliminate the bottom storage drawer to make both upper and lower ovens larger. when testing oven temps both upper and lower were not even close to set temp. to make this oven work for anything i had to remove the divider and basically use it as a single oven. and i could have paid alot less for a single oven.

detailedReviews 10: content: I waited so long to replace our old electric stove with a higher quality gas range. I did a lot of research, read reviews and decided on the Flex Duo w/Dual Door Freestanding Gas Range. I have had it for just under a year now and have been very pleased with it especially the dual oven capability. However, I was disappointed when the knob of my power burner broke off. I've looked on the Samsung website for a replacement knob and it is almost $60 for one knob. To make it worse...it looks like it only comes in stainless steel so it won't match my other 4 knobs. So, I thought I had found a work around and took the washer off and was going to just replace the broken plastic adapter with a metal one but nope. Turns out that it's all one piece of plastic. You would think that for the price point that Samsung would have invested a little more into the knobs which are used multiple times a day; everyday of the year.

I hate cast iron which is why I hate the burner grills on this oven. In the oven My items burn on top racks bc it is too high up and I can’t use the smart divider as another rack. I hate that I can’t locate the smart divider anywhere but the middle position. This prevents me from cooking taller items on top and bottom. I wish it was actually smart and could be located anywhere for a real double oven experience. I’m disappointed about the lack of items it comes with for the price. Bought a thermometer and it shows that it is not heating to the proper temperature. Called within 30 days, Samsung sent out a tech (that they approved) he claimed it was all ok, even though temp was not up to par. I am now ready to buy a new stove, tonight was the final straw. After "pre heating to 350" I tried cooking pre made cookie dough and the recipe called for 10-12 mintues, after 45 minutes it was still not cooked. So I decided to put my own thermometer in, it said it was only 250, so I raised the temperature. It took over an hour to heat up to 350, even though the stove beeped minutes after I preheated. detailedReviews 14: content: When I first purchased with watch I loved it. Compared to other watches I own, the watch looked better and had at least twice the batter life. I bought the one with 3G so I also had connectivity without my phone, which was nice. The one drawback was the lack of apps. Apps slowly started trickling out, but nothing compared to the amount of Android Wear supported apps. Even so, I loved the watch and used if far more than the other watches I own. Then one day, it just popped off my wrist. I though it broke, but I was able to re-attach the band. I figured that I must have accidentally, pressed the release to detach the band. I thought it was unlikely to happen again. Then one day, while travelling internationally, it fell of again for no apparent reason. I thought, I must have bumped it or something. I was a little annoyed because this time the bezel got dinged. Then a little later I notice the watch was gone from my wrist. It had fallen off of my wrist and I had no idea where it was. I tried the find my watch function, but it didn't work. I don't know if the watch powered down or had gotten run over. Either way, even if it was located, we wouldn't be going back to get it, as we were in the middle of a tour in a foreign country. So I immediately called Verizon to cancel my plan and just had to accept that it was gone. At first I thought of immediately going out and buying a replacement (I really loved the watch). The more I thought about it, the more I couldn't bring my self buy a replacement. No matter how good the watch was I would never wear it with the fear that it might fall off of my wrist again. I would consider the classic since it has a more traditional watch band, but it lacks 3G. More than likely I'll end up purchasing the a different LTE watch.

We had it 4 months before the convection fan broke again. It was repaired today, and guess what? Now it's not working. The split oven design doesn't work like I hoped. The top oven is extremely small and you can only do a 50-degree difference in temperature between the top and bottom ovens. We like having the middle griddle but this one heats very unevenly and doesn't get hot enough to cook tortillas, so it's pretty useless. I do like the varying burner sizes. detailedReviews 17: content: While I love the style and functionality of the Samsung Gear S2 Silver, the band is a very poor design. I received my smartwatch the first week of June 2016. It is now August 5, 2016 and both bands that came with the watch in the original packaging have failed in the exact same place. Both broke while doing simple household activities and the watch went flying. The watch itself has fared well and withstood the falls, but now I can't even wear it until I go and invest in the exact same poorly designed watch band that I'm certain will not hold up any better even though I'll have to pay through the nose for the proprietary design.
Samsung, PLEASE fix this!
I love the way the watch works seamlessly with my 7 Edge, but I will not recommend any of this style of the Gear S2 simply due to the lack of durability of the bands. I wish I had spent the extra $50 for the classic. My colleague has one and has not had any issues with the bands. I simply thought this version would be better for my active lifestyle. NOT SO!

title: Watch bands broke, poor design, need replacement
detailedReviews 18: content: I've been rocking this watch for a few days and I love the ease of use and the dial. Overall smartwatches are amazing for you if you use them for notifications and reguardless of googles lack to support this watch also it has the best durability and hardware out there is not too noticeable unless you need google maps
Good
- Looks Nice. Screen is awesome. This screen is just vibrant and rich. \
- Notification customization works really quickly. You can customize the apps on your phone that trigger notifications on your watch. These notification come through fast and allow you to respond (if a watch app exists, say for an email or text) or if a native watch app doesn't exist yet for something you are notified about, it will allow you to tap a button to call up the activity on your phone. (I have facebook setup to send notifications. Once I open the notification, I can tap a button on the watch and have the FB app open to the post on my phone so I can respond from there.) It's pretty nice. I've had pictures attached to texts appear in notifications and they look pretty darn good.
- Battery life. After a full day of use from 8 am to 11:30 pm, I had 3% left and it was still working - Now that may sound bad since you are supposed to get 2-3 days out of the watch, but this was during my first day 'VERY heavy' use phase - I won't be hammering the watch that hard again. I did everything with it, Navigation, emails, heart rate monitor, etc, etc. I expect to get much better performance once I'm not looking at it every 2 minutes.
- Responsiveness - EVERY time I lift my wrist, this thing lights up. EVERY time. Not a lick of sluggishness in any activity I've done so far.
-Voice activation works as well as voice activation can. - People say they may miss 'ok google' but with the URBANE, when I said "Hello Google" to activate voice activities, it work very well, BUT - my nearby phone was also activated. Using S-voice, I was able to record an alternate wakeup message. So now I say 'Hello Watch' to get S-voice going on my watch, or "Hello Google" to get voice activities started on my phone. It's also very responsive. I've sent full texts, Initiated navigation, and sent emails without using my hands, and the watch picked the info up pretty well without errors.
-step tracking when compared to my fitbit, I think this watch is a bit more accurate. (less generous in the steps it says I did.) Unsure about heart rate monitoring. It seems to work fine.
- Answering or placing calls is pretty easy from the watch, however you have to use BT headphones (haven't tried this yet) or your phone itself to actually talk.
- You can store and play mp3's from the watch without your phone if you have Bluetooth headphones, OR you can use the watch to control your MP3 player on your phone.
- It also has NFC for future electronic payment options which im looking forward to
- You can initiate a Map search and start navigation from the watch without having to take out your phone. Doing everything from the watch was pretty nice.
- Plenty of watch face choices currently exist in the store. Many free. Good default faces come native to the watch already.
- Wireless charging works flawlessly - a magnet holds the watch in place.
Bad
- Navigation uses an app call 'here maps' that's a bit of a different experience from Google maps which I am used to. It still worked well, so no complaints there.
- # of apps in the store for Gear S2 is currently limited. That should change in the future.
- Need something to track sleep - Currently no app exists to do this using this watch. Not a deal breaker for me.
- Be great to have a watch face customizer.
- No speaker - Meh - I don't think I'd want to listen to music OR a call with a watch speaker anyway.
- Currently does not support being able to add a reminder from the watch. You can add alarms, but not reminders. I hope that will change with a software update.
- Would love to have a dashboard widget for my phone that shows battery life of the watch. Currently this info is embedded in the GEAR app.
- Tighter Integration with S-HEALTH (Samsung's "Google FIT" equivalent) would be nice- This might be the place to put sleep tracking integration - And I'd love to be able to trigger heart rate monitoring directly from the app without touching the watch. Currently when you try, it defaults to the in-phone heart rate monitor. It would be nice to have an option to choose which monitor to use. S-HEALTH already allows you to filter steps by watch/phone so they've already make 'steps' in that direction.
- Charging LED on the base is bright - you will need to point it away from you or it may actually keep you up.
That's basically all I know now. I'll update if I see fit. Bottom line - It's a smartwatch that looks like a regular watch and actually delivers performance that doesn't make me regret my purchase. Get one.

detailedReviews 19: content: personally speaking, I really love this design. especially the ring system. This is my first smart watch and I really like it because its really useful. Here I list my view points consisting of power and limitation about Gear S2:
1- It designed very very awesome. So I like it.
2- The novel bezel system is really fantastic.
3- The Tizen OS is grate, for two reason: first it is really fast and customized for a smart gears, in addition, it is open source and developers can create a program for free without any limitation.
4- Why the SM-R7200ZKAXAR model did not contain internal Magnetometer and Gyroscope? its the big limitation in hardware!
5- It con not connect to the IOS (iPhone) and it is kind of big problem! but I know that Samsung will be support it as soon as possible according to the news and i am really happy for this news.
6- In me opinion user should be able to communicate with his/her laptop in addition. for example to transferring new musics to the Gear!
7- It needs a small Buzzer speaker! (like a similar buzzer in normal watches).
I Like Gear S2. :) just this.

detailedReviews 25: content: We were looking for a black SS range with dual ovens and going from electric to gas. Most were out of our price range but what sold us was the flex duo system. We rented a u-haul and picked up ourselves to save a few bucks - small mistake as this thing weighs a ton and had to get the neighbors over to help get it up the stairs. We had a local HVAC guy install for $75 (saving $100 from store to install). FYI.
We've had it for a week now and cooked Xmas dinner to include turkey, pies, cookies, etc. The good: Love cooking with gas (much faster) though I'm still afraid one of these days our house will blow but that's just me! Love having dual timers and the graphics showing when oven temperature reaches desired level. Range grates easily lift out to clean. Looks awesome in our wooden kitchen. Nice having a lower tray drawer as otherwise the lower oven would be a hassle to bend down to use/see inside (like other dual ovens with no bottom drawer). Lower sliding rack is a welcome feature. The Bad: Upper oven burned two batches of cookies before we read the manual and discovered our racks were too high - have not tried this yet as we are still reading the manual before wasting another batch. Would have been nice to be able to switch convection off if desired. Unable to fit full turkey in lower oven without removing the divider which defeated the dual oven concept. The griddle is too small to do much of anything. The wok holder is nice but not needed as most modern woks have a flat bottom. The black color - definitely a dust/dirt magnet and other than looks is making us miss the standard white appliance color. Lower tray drawer came uneven (right side is noticeably lower than the left) and the oven door rubs against the left when fully opened - we'll see if geek squad will fix. We will not use the wifi with this stove - just don't see the value/safety of hooking a gas stove to the IoT.
So a couple of nits and we are still learning how to use this. But looks nice and cooks well (other than cookies so far). Strongly recommend reading the manual!

detailedReviews 26: content: I've owned and used this 3G model since November of 2015 and it has been an enjoyable experience overall. I like the design with its clean look, its lightness, its rotating bezel, integration of an ambient light sensor, clear and loud speaker for voice calls, and comfortable wristbands.
The watch contains many useful technology such as Bluetooth, NFC, a chip to make and receive voice calls, a chip for having access to 3G data, a speaker for voice prompts and making calls, and a GPS sensor to track one's movement.
Samsung Pay was promised earlier in the lifecycle of the product but it came really late in only October of 2016. That was disappointing since I've wanted to use it earlier. It is better than never but I strongly feel that Samsung could've rolled out Samsung Pay earlier if they dedicated enough priority and resources into it. Samsung surely has the manpower, money, and all the resources in the world to do so.
Another frustrating aspect of my owner experience has been the lack of support for wristbands and accessories. Not only did the wristbands come to market later than expected, some accessories such as the official wristband adapters, never came to the US market although they were released in Europe. I had to purchase my wristband adapters from a UK retailer and have it shipped to me in the US for an expensive price. I'm glad I found those because it allowed me to buy my own 20mm wristbands and use it with my Gear S2.
Software-wise, I'd rate Samsung a 7 out of 10. Depending on which watchface I'm using, sometimes all of my widgets I have set up gets scrambled out of order or some widgets simple just disappear and I end up having to add them again. This bugginess has been present since I've owned the watch in November of 2015 despite having received several firmware updates since then.
Another less-than-stellar software function is S Voice. Not only is it very slow, it's not very accurate when transcribing my words and commands. Also, for a smart product, I'm disappointed that it cannot perform and set Reminders. It kind of blows my mind how Samsung cannot add such a simple thing as a voice Reminder function when almost everyone else in the world is able to do so.
Despite these flaws and inconveniences, I'd still recommend this watch to my friends and others. I consider myself a Power User and I know my needs and demands are more acute compared to an average consumer.
The Gear S2 3G has brought many conveniences to my life such as the ability to quickly answer calls from my wrist (useful for when I'm driving or I have my hands full or they're wet), ability to filter calls, text messages, and notifications without having to take out my phone, and ability to keep track of my health stats.
I've had fun with this watch but I'm ready to move on now to either the new Gear S3 or AW smartwatches.

title: Good design, speaker, GPS, but slow S Voice
detailedReviews 27: content: Samsung took a stand amongst the plethora of similar Android Wear Smartwatches to provide a small design change that will genuinely surprise me if it doesn't catch on. The Gear 2's most attractive and standout feature is its bezel based navigation. You can sure navigate with swipes like most other offerings, but the rotating bezel is extremely intuitive to use and you'll find yourself keeping your fingers off the display a large portion of the time.
Samsung continues to use their custom Tizen OS for their newest smartwatch and this is the biggest shortcoming of the device. Don't get me wrong, the Tizen is a very smooth, functional, and attractive platform to use, but it's shortcomings reveal themselves when you take a look at the app store. There is minimal third party app support and you likely wont find many of your favorite apps in wrist form as you might on android wear. Among the apps supported, you have a lackluster maps app that frequently couldn't keep up with google maps, several news sources, a decent Uber app, and an "okay" fitness suite. You can control you music from the Gear 2 but it lacks a dedicated spotify app incase you want to leave your phone in your gym locker and use the available wifi.
Beyond software gripes, samsung nailed most of the hardware in this device. Battery life is pretty good for such a nice screen and easily got me through 1.5 days of pretty frequent use. Construction for the sport model is fantastic and never did I find myself questioning the build quality. It seems the Gear 2 has taken a hint from the moto 360 and packages a chi wireless charging cradle with the device for a hassle free experience...if you don't mind a slowish charging time. The heart rate sensor was accurate enough and I only noticed about a 5 bpm margin of error(if any at all) depending on how much I was moving around. Lastly, the watch bands resisted tearing and degradation with a frequent fitness load.
While this device's design is fantastic, it's software holds it potential back. It's a lag free, decent lasting, convenient device to use...but it just can't do as much as its competitors at a similar price tag. Samsung may be able to fix all these complaints with more software support, but that remains to be seen with the galaxy series of phones falling short of software updates when the next device releases. Hopefully samsung will improve upon this design in the future and other devices take a hint from the brilliant use of the bezel mechanic because those features really make this device worth it.

title: Rotating bezel intuitive, Tizen OS lacks apps
detailedReviews 28: content: I bought this watch almost 3 years ago when it was first released. It was on sale at Best Buy for black Friday and I got a good deal on it. On first impression, it has such a futuristic look to it. I get compliments on it all the time just based on it's looks!! I chose the white band style. It looks sporty, but also goes well nicely with my scrubs for work. I also love that you can change the bands anytime and it only takes 1 minute. The battery lasts me about 2 full days if full functionality is turned on and over a week on power saving mode. One of my favorite features is the rotating ring around the face of the watch. It just looks so sleek and high-tech when you're using it!!!The software is very user friendly. I've never had any issues figuring out how something works or where to find an app. It pairs easily and stays connected to the phone so you never have issues with a spotty connection. The software allows for fitness, texting, email, weather, and music controls. You can also answer calls from the watch, but will still need the phone for actual conversations. In comparison to new smart watches, this phone does not have its own data plan, so it does not have any monthly charge to use it. It does not have GPS capabilities except when paired with the smartphone, for those of you who like to exercise. It does not have any speaker or microphone for talking, music, etc.Overall, I love this watch. It just looks good, and is not huge like the men's styles. It's a perfect size for women and men alike. The functionality is great, its durable, and it has lasted me longer than I expected. I would absolutely buy this product again and am looking forward to future versions of the Samsung Gear watch!

detailedReviews 29: content: In a word, this watch is incredible. As a long time tech geek I am familiar with all manner of gadget but this one really sets a new bar. On my wrist is a machine which has more power & functionality than many of my previous personal computers. The speakers, which some reviews said were no good, are much better than I had expected, and not just because of the bad reviews - because they are built into a TINY watch, so I was not expecting much at all. And yet the sound is robust and crisp, despite it's small beginnings. The tracks sound great, even when I am driving. The OS interface is wonderful, it's incredible easy to move from screen to screen and to type using the phone based format. Some apps are still buggy with the new keyboard API, but updates are being released pretty frequently. Of course I wish it had a longer battery life, but I would not want this watch to be any heavier or larger than it is, so I'll take what I can get. A screen brightness of 6 is more than enough for indoors, and the watch is good for about 16 hours (measuring my heartbeat every 10 min, the most frequent setting). I use a bright, animated, active watch face (the worst for battery life) so presumably I could get even farther if I were willing to sacrifice info in the watch face (which I am not). I do not use the "Always On" feature, that just seems silly given the assumption of limited battery life. The one feature I looked for which is not yet present is sleep tracking, considering this thing is on my wrist all night and could theoretically do that. I saw a few enterprising folks had created pay apps for this but I am looking for it to be added to the default health app for this wearable, hopefully soon. I have already banged this up a little and gotten dirt & moisture on it but the bezel & face still look & behave as though they are brand new (after a quick cleaning as per the instructions of course). In short this product is an incredible achievement, both in physical design and in the interface. I am familiar with product development, software development, and user interface design - what I see in front of me here is nothing short of a miracle of technological achievement, when one considers the teams of hardware & software development required to bring this from the design stages to reality. I can safely assume I will be standing on a Samsung holodeck at some point in the near future. Possibly controlled from my watch.

title: Incredible watch, powerful, robust sound, great OS
detailedReviews 30: content: I really wanted the slide in model but didn't feel that the extra $1000 was worth having a temp meter and the control knobs up front. I did settle a little in purchasing this product, but was already well over the budget I had for a new stove.
I specifically wanted the Samsung Gas stove because it does offer the ability to still use the range top in the event of a power outage. Several other brands have safety features that do not allow for this ability. I purchased it and received it just prior to Christmas so it got put to the test quickly as I had a lot of baking to do.
Range:The burner controls are backwards from my old stove so I am still getting used to them. It does take a little getting used to the clicking noise made when you turn them on to light them. However I think the knobs turn on a little too easily. There have been several occasions where I have accidently turned them on while reaching to the back to utilize the oven control or the timers. So yes the noise of the burner ignition has turned out to be a great safety feature.
I love the fact that the burners have different power. The front right does heat things up really quickly and the lowest setting on that burner. The Wok grate works great. The Center burner/griddle is ok, it doesn't heat the griddle as evenly as I had hoped. So when using it I am shuffling food around a lot on it.
Oven: The use of the controls for the oven, timer etc. are pretty self explanatory. I love the fact that there are 2 timers, plus an additional 2 timers if you use the oven cooking time timer.
I have not used the self cleaning mode as of yet nor the ability to control the oven remotely thru the app (I don't think I ever will). However the delayed start is a great option.
Top Oven usage: be very careful about putting things in the top oven, it is more like a broiler. I did burn several things initially until I got used to it. I now set the temp control about 5 degrees lower than what the recipe calls for (same cooking time), make sure the top is covered with aluminum foil. I have read a lot of reviews that say the top oven is not friendly to use because the lower rack for the top oven doesn't slide out. This is true and it is a minor inconvenience to have to open the large door to remove items. Hopefully they will fix this in future models.
I did find the temperature (as measured with an oven thermometer) does match that which is displayed on the electronic controls.
Bottom Oven/Combined oven usage: No issues when using the bottom oven with an different temp than the top or as a single oven. I have used the bottom oven as my warming area when I am using the top oven.
Overall Oven: The one caution I will make is that you shouldn't have anything plastic near the back of the stove when the oven is on (plastic pot handles, etc). The oven vents it truly does cause things to melt. Be sure to use the conversion guide to adjust normal backing temps listed in recipes to the recommended temperature for a convection oven.
Warming/Storage drawer: Doesn't work well as a warming drawer unless you are using the bottom oven, which I don't do that often so it is being used as a storage drawer. We recently had an incident where a pan went behind the drawer and kept it from closing. We had to remove the drawer to get it out. Unfortunately the manual wasn't very helpful (picture was too small and not very clear) and ended up calling support. While we were on the phone with support I finally saw 2 little CLEAR levers on the drawer slides and pushed on those. According to the manual, you should push down on the Left and up on the right (the manual said to push on the slides, didn't even mention these levers). Turns out we had to lift up on the Left and down on the right. When I told the Samsung rep she didn't seam to concerned the manual was incorrect.
Overall I am very happy with this purchase. I hope I get my money's worth out of the product.

title: Gas range works, burner controls backwards, uneven griddle
detailedReviews 31: content: It is a little scary how fast this little device has become part of my life. Even after watching a dozen YouTube videos on the watch functions it took several days to to get fully familiar with the watch. It was burning through the battery in 4 to 6 hours. I tuned off roaming and wifi and now its battery lasts all day. I have the Verizon version and thought I might have made a mistake when I found out that Verizon will no longer activate this phone because it is 3G. However, having the 3G version gives me the speaker and GPS which are great add-ons. Activating would drain the battery excessively for me. The fourth generation of this watch is now out so I only paid $90 for this so the battery is now 4 years old. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to change out the battery. $23 for new battery and you will also need OO tri-tip and Phillips head screwdrivers to replace. I love the way it senses your activity. I play pickleball and it recorded everything. Time, steps, and heart rate. Provides lots of encouragement. I would never pay full price for cars, smartphone, or a smartwatch. If you're a gadget geek and have been holding off getting a smart watch well nows the time to jump in and the Samsung Gear S2 is a great buy.

title: Battery lasts all day, senses activity well
detailedReviews 32: content: By Matthew Miller from ZDNET: 12.15.15 I've tested, and purchased, a lot of smartwatches and even though I wear one every day, I still believe no one really needs a smartwatch. That said, if you are looking for a watch that stands out from the rest then the Samsung Gear S2 3G is the one. As I mentioned in my Samsung Gear S2 first impressions, I've been on the hunt for my perfect smartwatch for a couple years. The Apple Watch is close, but the lack of GPS and self-contained cellular service keep it from perfection. These are both functions that are available in the Samsung Gear S2 and once again Samsung is beating Apple to the punch. I purchased a Gear S2 3G from T-Mobile about 10 days ago and have taken it out on four runs in my attempt to figure out if it is indeed the perfect smartwatch for me. FIVE WAYS THE GEAR S2 3G IS BETTER THAN THE APPLE WATCH The Apple Watch is Apple's first attempt at a smartwatch and it does a fantastic job as a first product. The Gear S2 is Samsung's seventh smartwatch since 2013 and is its best yet. Here are five reasons the Gear S2 3G beats the Apple Watch Sport Edition. The 38mm Apple Watch is $349 and the 42mm one is $399. The Gear S2 3G is priced at $359.99 from T-Mobile. GPS: A major limitation of my Apple Watch is the lack of GPS. This means I either have to carry along an iPhone or give up tracking the specific route details of my run. The Gear S2 3G includes a GPS receiver and two apps, Nike+ and S Health, that include GPS tracking support. Wireless carrier service: I purchased the T-Mobile version, but Verizon and AT&T also sell this model in stores. While I mainly purchased the 3G version for running safety, I'm finding the ability for it to serve as a secondary phone very useful. Water and dust resistance: The Gear S2 3G has an IP68 rating, meaning it prevents dust ingress at the highest solids rating and keeps water out in 1-3 meter depth. IP68 is nearly the highest level of dust and water resistance available. Stainless steel construction: The 3G model is available with a silicone band, but the body is made of stainless steel. The comparably priced Apple Watch Sport Edition is made of aluminum The stainless steel Apple Watch starts at a price $200 more than the Gear S2 3G. Rotating bezel: While there are two buttons and a touchscreen on the Gear S2 3G, a unique user interface consists of the rotating bezel. There is clear clicks/stops in the bezel as you rotate it and it makes for quick navigation as well.

title: Gear S2 3G better than Apple Watch
detailedReviews 33: content: Pros: Lightweight
Intuitive Navigation with rotating bezel, better and more enjoyable navigation than any other smartwatch on the market.
Can design your own watch face extremely easily without coding knowledge with Gear Designer
Good battery life
Cons: Limited Tizen apps compared to Android Wear or Apple.
Newer models out (Gear S2 classic and Gear S3)
Other thoughts: Overall, very nice smartwatch. Recommended for those looking for a top-tier but lightweight smartwatch. While the Tizen app store is smaller compared to Android Wear or Apple, I don't think smartwatches currently have a real killer app and most apps on smartwatches will not really be used on a daily basis. In my mind, really the main usage of a smartwatch is to keep up to date with notifications and monitoring fitness, rather than apps as I have not found an application on any smartwatch that I have tried that is a game-changer yet.
The most important features of a good smartwatch in my opinion is a enjoyable navigation design, comfortable to wear, and battery life, and the S2 nails those three things. Much more comfortable to wear than the S3 in direct comparison, but slightly smaller ~2 day battery life in my real world usage, compared to ~3 days on the S3. Still better than most other competitors on the market.
Updated firmware on the S2 brings all of the software functionality and the apps and watchfaces of the S3 to the S2. Really only major feature difference is S3 offers is support for MST payment, which did not matter to me as I do not use my smartwatch for payment. The S2 does offer traditional NFC payment.
In my mind comes down to a watch size preference if deciding between the S2 and S3. Will likely need to see and play with it in person to see what fits your needs the best.

title: Lightweight, intuitive navigation, good battery life
detailedReviews 34: content: To start off with, allow me to say that I've tried various other smartwatch solutions - Android Wear and Pebble being the main two - but the Gear S2 provides a colorful new look at the concept of the smartwatch.
In the month that I've been using the Gear S2, I've had it paired with two phones: first a Motorola Moto X Pure Edition and then a Samsung Galaxy S6, both on the T-Mobile network. The watch can receive notifications with Bluetooth, Wifi, and 3G data. And the 3G version also features a speaker for phone calls and music.
The watch's display is wonderfully crisp and easy to read, even at lower brightness levels and in direct sunlight. The turning bezel is also amazing to allow you to scroll through long messages and menus. And messages might be long since you can easily dictate them using S Voice included on the Gear S2. (Just a note though - I had S Voice disabled on my S6 initially which caused the Gear S2 to freak out when I started dictation, so just make sure that you've enabled S Voice and accepted the terms and conditions.)
Call quality has been surprisingly well, though I've only taken two calls directly from my watch. One while I was cooking and my watch was in another room and the second one while I was running and having S Health track my run via the included GPS system (this feature is only available on the 3G model).
The only other thing to note is that while I haven't tried to switch bands on my Gear S2, the instructions I've seen say that you just have to push down on the release button on the inner part of the watch band. While I'm currently writing this, I can't seem to release the band at all, but your mileage may vary with this.
Overall, I would definitely say that the Gear S2 is worth the buy. If you're unsure of how you'd like the Gear S2 or a smartwatch in general, there are cheaper ones available. However, if you're going for a stylish look, then this is the watch for you.

detailedReviews 35: content: Replaced a standard range with this dual oven convection. Been very happy with it so far. It has taken a little while to get used to the convection & the top oven, which heats from above rather than below. The top oven is great for browning, melting cheese on top of a dish & cooking things in shallow containers, but isn't great for baking. The broiler function of the top oven works great.
The bottom oven acts more like a standard oven so is better for baking.
I love that I can pull out the divider to cook something large / tall - a large turkey for example.
The stove top works very well & is east to clean. My only complaint is that the griddle in the middle takes too long to heat up.

detailedReviews 36: content: The watch it's really nice, works perfectly, no issues with it. It was a gift for my son which he loves it. It's easy to use, the rotation vessel works great. Samsung it's doing a good job with this watches. It tracks your steps, heart, so many different features. You can customize it the way you want it, if you going to a party, job or just for a run you can change the watch faces and the band as you like. You can even put music and use it with your bluetooth headphones and you good to go. If you sinc it with your phone it gives you the notifications email, text, alarm and even give you couple exercises to do when you are sitting down to long. It's so easy to use and convenient because you dont have to even look at your phone to know who's calling or even text. On this model you can actually replied to text messages, and if they call you you can accept or decline the phone call and tell you to check your phone. It's good to have one and more convenient if you drive a lot you dont have to go crazy looking to your phone when it rings.

title: Nice watch, easy to use, customizable features
detailedReviews 37: content: So I've had running watches and activity trackers in the past that have received notifications but not to the same degree as the Gear S2. My favorite feature is being able to respond to text and emails. Not that I'm going to type a paragraph or anything but I did download a full qwerty keyboard that gets the job done. You can add some typical responses and those come in handy. As a 3 day a week runner, who isn't a data monster, I think I'll be okay with using one of the 3 options available for tracking my runs. Right now I think the 'Pear' application might win out, but the Nike is in second and then S-Health is in third. I'm not sure how accurate the heart rate monitor is, I do snug it up when I run and am experimenting currently to get some base lines with a chest strap to see how the two compare. Now that the newness is wore off, even on days when I run, by the time I get home and sit on the couch, I've typically got around 40% battery remaining. I did turn off the auto on feature and I think that helps. In regards to the power saving mode, I went camping with my son a couple of weekends ago and charged it the night before, I woke at 4:30 am and immediately turned the power saving mode on, when we returned home the next afternoon at 4:30 pm I had 37% battery remaining. Power saving mode is pretty nice. I do charge it every night but that's just because I don't want to get another charger. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with my Gear S2. I did get it with the 3G option and that is pretty handy. I've forgotten my phone a couple of times while running to the store for my wife and gave her a call to remember what I forgot. It's comfortable to wear and I like how it looks. I think my only wish for it would be a little bit more of a running watch and if you could have it connect to a chest strap heart rate monitor, that would be pretty cool. To tie this review up in a knot, out of the box and my first two days, I wasn't too sure I was going to keep it because, I ran through the battery, but after tweaking it and when I got a handful of days into it, I can easily say my expectations were met.

title: Respond to texts, good battery, 3G handy
detailedReviews 38: content: I've owned a number of smart watches in several different varieties (Pebble, Android Wear, and now Gear), and each has their plusses and minuses.
Let me say right off that while the Gear S2 is a brilliant piece of hardware (four stars) its severely hampered by the Samsung Gear Ecosystem, poor store experience and lack of quality apps (one star). If you don't have a Samsung phone or may switch from a Samsung phone to something else DON'T BUY AN S2. Non samsung phone users are limited to a very small subset of "free" apps. If you switch from a Samsung phone to something else you will loose access to all purchased apps and some free apps (like Uber).
If you are happy with the initial set of watch faces and apps, then this is a highly recommended purchase. But many of the promised apps have not materialized yet and the Gear app store is full of mostly garbage apps and watch faces with no where near the quantity, consistency, quality, and versatility of Android Wear.
So, from a hardware perspective, the Gear S2 is brilliant
-The screen is a typical Samsung Super Amoled thats bright, crisp, rich, and pose efficient that just blows every other smart watch screen away.
-The moving bezel (supplemented by touch and back and home buttons) is by far the best interface on any smartwatch I've used
-The responsiveness and speed of the interface is by far the best I've encountered, way beyond Pebble and Wear
-The build quality is excellent
-The battery life is good (no where near a 5-7 day Pebble but on par with a good Wear watch like the LG G Watch R) of a full day (24 hours plus) under heavy use and up to two full days under lighter use.
- The watch is light, compact, and very comfortable on the wrist
- The wireless charging is nice but proprietary and not as compact as it could be for travel. It doesn't convert the watch to a "clock" as Android Wear does when charging. Charging speed is average
- The strap is propriatary
From a software (App store, Watchfaces, and most Apps) the S2 blows chunks
- The store is a disaster. Really only accessible from the Grear app on your Phone. Heavily segmented/compartmentalized by catagories with an almost completely non functional search mechanism so you spend a lot of time navigating it. Apps often don't specify which Gear platform(s) they support and there is no filtering by product so you mostly have to rely on screen shots (if there is a round one maybe the S2 is supported).
- There are a fair number of watch faces but they often use different customization methods and are no where near the level of realism offered by many Wear apps, nor do they tend to have the number and variety of features/complications.
- The actual Apps are even worse when it comes to quantity, variety, consistency, and support for S2. This is just trash and the store has been open for over two years so I don't see it suddenly changing for the better. Many of the cool Apps Samsung advertised on their product announcement simply don't exist yet.
And maybe there are some tricks and tips I haven't uncovered yet, but my S2 doesn't get near the number of notifications my Wear gets. I don't get any Google card notifications which I rely on heavily.
So my recommendation is don't buy it unless you are a dedicated Samsung phone user and don't plan on leaving the brand. If you are a dedicated Samsung phone user and don't rely on "Google Card" notifications then this could be a very compelling product for you.

title: Brilliant hardware, hampered by Samsung ecosystem
detailedReviews 39: content: After owning the last watch from Samsung I got this one because of the sleek round design, however, after getting it home and playing with it a little bit I found that not only did it not have any significant upgrades but it was missing essential functions (at least for my preference) that I was quite use to and expected to be there. First, it is noticeably smaller which I guess is the attraction for some people and if I'm being honest, it was for me as well as sometimes I want my watch to be less noticeable. Another thing I found that I missed was the ability to adjust the duration that the face stayed on before going to sleep. Second, I miss being able to just click on one of my pics from the gallery and set it as a background pic without going through the hassle of changing watch faces and customizing it. I do miss the ease of using the S Health features such as the sleep data recording function which I can't seem to figure out how to use it if it can even be done. The S Health functions are just not user friendly anymore but the main thing that is missing is the ability to set my songs as a ring tone and if it can be done they've changed it so much that I can't figure it out. I am glad that I kept my Gear S so I can have the best of both worlds. I happen to love the screen size of the first watch, having said that, I also like the size of the Gear S2 for when I want my watch to be just a watch. But if I want all the bells and whistles one would expect from a smart watch, I find myself wearing the first Gear S. So in the end I guess it comes down to personal taste and style. I myself find that I don't mind sacrificing style for functionality and size... but not always... so I'll just keep them both and continue choosing my watch based on my mood for that day and if you didn't own the first edition then you won't know the difference and this watch will be just fine and you will probably love everything about it.

detailedReviews 40: content: Have the orig Moto 360, Gear S , and Gear S2. Notification and phone capabilities on the smartwatches are used all the time. White I wanted to like the Moto 360, navigation is still just too difficult. Tizen battery life also seems better than Android Wear (am on latest firmware and app versions on all Samsung phones and smartwatches in use).
Gear S and Gear S2 are so much easier to navigate with. A few quirks on the Gear S2 vs Gear S. Prefer the notification (or option) for notification(s) to remain on the Gear S vs Gear S2 (faster to reply if timed out). Screen real estate is much better appreciated on the Gear S (Gear S2 has done as much as it can with utilizing screen - very well). Gear S seems to have better battery life than Gear S2 (have brightness @ comfortable and visible 25 - 40%, all unnecessary communication turned off). I appreciate the wireless charging on the Gear S2 vs the proprietary charging device on the Gear S (which holding tabs freq break).
Lack of band / straps is discouraging. Would like to see standard band fittings to utilize other ??mm bands.
Though I am not a fitness nut, I do use and appreciate the health utilities (especially step). Gear S2 has a activity encouraging monitor (best way to describe) to promote activity which is appreciated). Haven't gauged how accurate many of the health functions are.
Overall, in my opinion, Samsung has done the best job in developing the smartwatch. Although, there are certain issues which can be improved upon / standardized (wireless charging, notification remain, etc) going forward.

title: Easier navigation, better battery than Android Wear
detailedReviews 41: content: Main Function and general operation: This main design purpose is to offset your phone with the ability to leave your for behind for a few hours to exercise or if you forgot your phone. The watch cannot stand alone when first purchased. It needs to be paired with a phone and all apps are downloaded through your phone. But the watch has its own number, and once paired you can walk away from your phone and all calls , texts, emails can be forwarded. Watch power lasts all day and night (24 hours average) linked or un-linked to your phone (I average 30 minutes talk time a day through my watch). Charging takes 70 minutes after watch shutdown due to low power.
Pro 1: Beautiful watch screen with many different watch faces to choose from.
Pro 2: Durable. I exercise everyday-running, swimming, biking etc. I also go hiking in the mountains and work construction. I have no extra protection on my watch and have hit my watch face several times and it is still clear though the sides of the watch have scratches.
Pro 3: Tracking many different types of exercise is easy and quick.
Pro 4: Watch will notify you of any alarms or reminders from most apps on your phone. You can setup what you want to notify you on your phone.
Pro 5: The gear S2 communicates in every way. E-mail, Text, talk, Facebook, Voxer, ChatOn, Hangouts, etc.
Cons 1: Lack of exercise applications. Though there seems to be unlimited watch faces, you are limited to Samsung health, Nike or Pear. I really liked using Endomondo, but was forced to stop using it for S Health. Though S Health is not bad and gets better all the time, it lacks the running distance break down to .25 miles and accuracy of Endomondo. Which leads me to con #2.
Con 2: GPS or time accuracy. The mile markers on the watch and phone map are in the correct spots and overall run distance and time are correct. But S-health, Nike, Pear only breakdown you distance run into single miles or kilometers (no more or less) and these mile or kilometer times are widely off (sometimes it indicates I broke the 1 mile record at 3 minutes with my next mile time at 12 minutes) . This happens whether I use the watch alone or with my phone. It still does this as of 2016-08-16. So if you want track your .5 mile times you have to start and stop your watch for each run and use your average mile time for runs longer than 1 mile.
Summary: Out of all the smart watches I have used, no other watch comes close except the Gear S. If you don't want a the cell phone in the watch, I recommend the Gear 2 or Gear 2 Neo. You will have to always have your phone close for communication but there are many more usable apps. FYI, the IWatch is a poor Gear 2 imitation. My wife has a IWatch, and it works ok but is severally limited compared to Gear watches.

title: Durable, easy exercise tracking, GPS accuracy issues
detailedReviews 42: content: I'm going to try and hit everything that I think is important to know about the Gear S2 3g version (cell phone carrier version). I highly recommend the 3g version since the Wi-Fi only version does not have a speaker to make calls from the watch. The calls get forwarded to be made on your cellphone from what I understand. For AT&T, you can add the 3g Gear S2 to an existing compatible mobile plan for $10 or start a new plan with the watch for $30. AT&T's NumberSync feature is now available also. Until the end of January 2016, the Gear S2 is $99 at AT&T, which is why I am putting "inexpensive" as a "Pro" for the watch.
I've had the Gear S2 3g version for about two weeks now, and I love it. It's fun, has great features, and works well with my Samsung S6. You can make and receive calls on the watch either from its own connection or by using the connection from your phone. S Health works nicely with moderate heart rate monitoring (not a battery drain) and counting your steps. When using Gear Manager, which is required on the compatible cellphone to work with the watch, you are given the option to customize a watch face further than you can on just the watch. There are several watch faces available pre-installed, but if you open Gear Manager on your cellphone while your watch is connected to the phone via bluetooth, and click on "watch faces" and then click on the "digital" watch face, you can add your own image to the watch face. Not sure if many people know that. When connected Remotely to your phone with the 3g Gear S2, you can enable "call forwarding" on the watch. This will automatically forward a missed call on your cellphone to your watch. Kind of like a second chance at answering the call. You can take screenshots by holding the home button while swiping to the right on the screen. Overall, the features are great.
HOWEVER, there are connectivity issues that really need worked out, which I'm sure will be once people learn more about the device. My watch will disconnect randomly from a remote connection on my S6 a few times a week with frequent use. The only way to get the watch out of a "stuck" Standalone mode, once it disconnects remotely, is to turn off the watch completely and turn it back on or turn airplane mode on then off. For anyone who does not know, Remotely connected means you are connected to your cellphone via your watch from a mobile data standpoint (I assume this is only the 3g version). Standalone mode is when the watch is operating on its own without using your phone as a remote connection. You can also share a bluetooth connection between your compatible phone and watch.
For anyone who plans to get the AT&T 3g version S2 and plans to use AT&T's new NumberSync -- beware. This feature is a HUGE battery drainer at this point in time. This feature allows your watch to take on your cell phone's number. This way, when you call from your watch, your regular cell phone number shows up on the receiver's phone instead of the watch's number. I find it more of a hassle to deal with the battery drain than give everyone my watch's own number.
Speaking of battery, battery life isn't bad if you turn off bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use, gestures, and features such as "keep screen always on". Also minimize the amount of apps that you allow notifications for. I found that my frequent email notifications drained the battery a bit.
The 3g Gear S2 is very promising. It just needs a few kinks here and there worked out. Additionally, be aware of the low amount of Samsung apps versus Google apps in the Playstore. This is not an Android Wear device which uses Google apps.

title: Recommend 3G version, connectivity issues, battery drain
detailedReviews 43: content: The rotating bezel for navigation is a very neat piece of innovation and design. The watch overall looks wonderful and sleek, and people constantly ask what kind of watch it is. It works wonderfully for the most part with my S6 galaxy on Verizon for message notifications, alarms and timers.
The drawbacks:
Email - If you have a corporate account with any kind of encryption, you be notified of email, and you can respond, but you can't read it. I can't blame Samsung for this, just something to be aware of.
Messaging - Samsung messenger is the only program that you can use to generate a new conversation with someone. I'm not a huge fan of the native program, but I can't quite tell why. Google messenger and hangouts can give notifications and you can read messages, but you can't reply unless you download android watch software to your phone. Also, you can't generate a new message on these mediums.
S-voice - Ugh. What a waste. It almost never registers with the words you speak, no matter if in a room with no sound, or not. It is basically a waste since it does not work for messaging, or using commands. Also, there is no speaker on the watch, so the idea of using it like a walkie-talkie is not possible unless you use bluetooth headphones.
Lastly, the connectivity to the phone is pretty decent, but it cannot work as a standalone device. There must always be a bluetooth connection to the phone. If there is no bluetooth connection, the watch will try to jump on wifi to connect remotely to the phone, which works pretty well at home. It does not however work anywhere else that the wifi requires a password, or to click on a login screen (i.e., everywhere in the world but home).
In short, I wish Google and Samsung played nice with each other since each has their strengths and weaknesses. I'm not sad I purchased this product, however I wonder sometimes if an Android based watch would have been better.

title: Rotating bezel neat, S-Voice waste, connectivity issues
detailedReviews 44: content: I bought the Gear S2 because the prices were dropping for the release of the S3 and I've wanted one since they first came out. The product fits perfectly and comfortably. Connection was a breeze to my old Note3 that I love still. I love how it doesn't replace my phone necessarily (unless I leave my phone at home or let the battery drain completely) but love that in those instances it can. The notifications are great and I love so much more than I thought I would. Very nice not to have to look at my phone for every little ding I hear in case it's something important. The GPS works great so far but I still have yet to really test it out much. Making calls from my phone is great when I have the phone charging and I can leave it and still receive everything from my watch. It seems to switch effortlessly between BT, WiFi, and 3G. S Voice works well and hasn't let me down yet with voice commands. I can pull up information quickly even with the small menus and icons. Screen is very responsive. I don't use the bezel all that much but when I do I'm glad it's there and works flawlessly and feels solid and accurate. I'm more of a swiper. I do wish I had the Money to get the S3 for a bigger screen and the added features but I can tell I have no regrets getting a later modle packed with everything I can currently want. Here's hoping my straps don't break.

detailedReviews 45: content: I was so excited to purchase the Samsung 5.8 cu. ft. Freestanding Gas Range with Power Burners w/Flex Duo™ dual doors. Unfortunately, after a year, I had to move for work and the stove was sold with my house. How I miss my stove! Losing it made me want to write a review to express how much I love this stove! I would recommend it to anyone. The innovative dual doors makes cooking and baking so easy. It's the greatest feature I never knew I needed. Most of the time I would just cook using the top half of the stove in order to use less gas. Such a great option. Always was great to make large Turkeys and roasts with the roll out rack! It bakes, broils and cooks beautifully. When I baked a cake I was never concerned that it might flow over. My baked goods always rose up perfectly, evenly browned and tasted delicious. The power burner is another favorite feature. It cuts boiling and grilling time. Everything always comes out perfect! I just can't express how happy this stove made me. I have only one issue that I would improve upon and recommend Samsung address. Cleaning the cook top. It's not easy to clean the cook top. It holds onto grease and smears. It takes effort and time, yet still remains smudged. All and all I will consider purchasing another one for my new home!! It's my favorite stove out there!

detailedReviews 46: content: I had this watch for about a month and ten days. I immediately noticed the battery life was not the promised day and a half or even a day. I disabled and removed any widgets or programs on the watch I did not need, dimmed the display and made it so only crucial notifications came through. Still, I could only use the watch for work as it would only live for about 8 to 10 hours. After charging it overnight yesterday I turned the device on at work and noticed that I was not getting the usual timely alerts. It was not turning on at all at this point and when I looked for possible issues the main one that came up was a bad motherboard. I'm not giving this review a 1 because the item was as described and had minimal exterior damage. I have to say though for only saving $100 or so more compared to a new gear S2 I am very disappointed with how little I had the device before it went bad.

detailedReviews 47: content: Its great to have a watch that acts as a PDA and a exercise band but it has its downsides. The charging technology is great as the back of the watch face rests against a quick charge stand. The picture quality isn't that great yet, the pictures that are shared on mine have a lot of color loss, but its still nice to have them. Making phone calls from the device is Dick Tracy cool and very convenient and you can send instant messages, however the interface is old school T9 so say goodbye to the swipe style. There is just about everything A PDA could do included in it, just that you must have an attached phone with active service to sync all of your calendar dates and events, even to get the functionality out of the exercise and health applications. I feel Samsung may be better suited in creating a standalone app that you can use with the device and sync to any other Samsung device as well to manage apps that are added to your device. More options in style would be nice as well. It came with replace wrist bands but more colors and interchangeable options would be great. There are a lot of watch faces to choose from and the GUI is easy to navigate and use on the face of the watch. You can leave the watch face on but we all know what will happen to the battery life. Sometimes it is difficult to get the watch face to come on when you turn your wrist to face you and stare emptily at a blank watch face.

detailedReviews 49: content: I held off on buying a Smart Watch waiting for the right combination of features and connectivity to buy one. On the surface the Samsung Gear S2 is that one. It connects directly to the AT&T network, has most of the health tracking features anyone would need and it can be a standalone phone. The music streaming and enough disk space to store playlists for the gym is amazing and works flawlessly!
However, there are still some critical pieces missing. The email does not synch directly with the mail server, making it impossible for enterprise email managers to enforce security policies. Only the default text and email apps have full functionality on the watch. I am very disappointed that I cannot view my work email on the Gear S2, and any attempt to use a alternate email client is only a hack and does not provide full functionality.
So far I have been unable to find a way to change the alarms on the phone, which are unbelievably annoying. Considering the gentle wake up I get from my Samsung S6, it is pretty upsetting that Samsung could not even get that right on the Gear S2.
The biggest disappointment is the lack of applications, which is really what all my complaints boil down to. A great watch, beautifully designed, but it still needs a better ecosystem.
The best part of this watch, is also it's worst. The OS is amazingly well designed. It is fast and has very little bugs. Tizen works flawlessly, but Samsung needs to incentives developers to build more apps.
Battery life is okay, but certainly not the 3 days they advertise. I usually get about 24 hours.

detailedReviews 50: content: I needed a stand alone devise so I didn't have to carry my phone in certain situations. I was exited to hear that samsung had gone to a round watch face from the previous gear s. I like the function of the gear s classic with the interchangeable bands over the gears so 2. I wanted a watch that is versatile between sport and casual wear. Unfortunately the classic version is not a stand alone devise and I was forced to go with the sport version. I needed the watch so that my daughter can get ahold of me at all times when I'm at work. You see she has type 1 diabetes and is insulin depend and I need her to check in with me so I know she is ok and so she can get ahold of me at any time. I can't have my phone with me at work so a watch is just what I need. I find that with light use in a day the battery only lasts 15 to 18 hrs. Samsung says you will get up to 3 days on a singer charge. I have not been able to acomplish 24 hrs, let alone 3 days. The face of the watch is too small. Most of the competitor's offer a 46mm that is much more desirable. I like the rotating bezel but prefer the style of the bezel on the classic version better. I don't like that my only option is a cheep looking silicone band that comes with the gear 2. For the money that this watch costs, I should have the option for more versatility. I bought the watch and by the time it took me to really get a feel for whether it would work for me I wasn't able to return it. I would rather have the classic version. Samsung if you are listening, you would make me happy if you give me the classic version so when I wear casual cloths my watch won't look out of place and I can still make it look sporty if I want. I have supported samsung products for years. I have purchased samsung products from all my tv's, fridge, phones and washer dryer set and have been very happy. This purchase from Samsung is my only disappointment. I paid alot of money for a watch that can't meet all of my needs. This is a item that I need to use every day and don't have the option to buy a smart watch for every occasion. The gear s 2 falls short of that for me.

detailedReviews 51: content: I have owned all three previous Gear watches and this one is an improvement over them all. But I was really disappointed that the standard models do not have a speaker. I used this feature frequently on my other gears. Reluctantly, I will return this one and wait for the 3G models with the speaker. I love the look of the Classic and the changeable bands are an important feature but will settle for the 3G model until the next Classic model comes out with a speaker.
This Gear watch is definitely more responsive than the previous ones and the heart rate monitors works extremely fast. The heart rate is still off compared to other monitors but it is close in the average value. The fitness app is better since it includes more activities like elliptical. The wake-up gesture seems to work better than the Gear S because I don't have to jerk my arm for the watch to come on. I wish there was a setting to set the sensitivity of this feature. Even though I have a Samsung phone, it is about time Samsung made the Gear compatible with other Android phones. I like the fact that it looks like a real watch and is not as bulky as the Gear S. I don't miss the big screen as much as I though I would. The charger is light years ahead of my 2 Gear S chargers that are now both broken.
I think the bezel is genius and others are wondering why they didn't think of it. It works smoothly and it works great to read the full emails. I usually use the back button but not the home button. As for the apps, I miss the calculator, watch styler and remote camera apps but my flashlight app still works. The built in watch face customizers work pretty good. I chose the skeleton watch.
This Gear is far better than the rest but I'll be waiting for the speaker and a changeable band on the next model.

detailedReviews 52: content: I have the white color Samsung S2 Gear sport version smartwatch. Main reason I bought white because I like the sliver stainless steel look and looking forward to replace the watch band with another darker color. The smartwatch is a bluetooth model, not the one with a speaker. I have use the watch almost everyday since I bought it, the phone feature works great, when I get a call I don't need to get my Samsung Note 4 out of my pocket anymore to see who's calling (only if I'm using my bluetooth earpiece) if not I will get my Note 4 out to answer the call.
I tend to use the bezel more than the touch screen when switching screens or apps, battery life depends on use, I will have two days of usage and will need to recharge using the wireless charging dock that came with the Gear S2. There are not many apps available yet, hopefully there will be more in the near future, favorite is steps counter, during my vacation, S2 counted over 15,000 steps at day! The watch display is bright even at level 4 under the sun, which can be seen easily.
One feature of the watch I cannot figure out is, the always ON, the watch will display a black background and time of day, however I saw someone with S2 Classic with the time and weather, which I will prefer to have.
If you prefer to have a watch with a camera, IR blaster, tv remote, this is not for you. If you want a rounded, easy to use, rotating bezel, this is for you!

detailedReviews 53: content: I am Team Samsung all the way, but I want Samsung to take a closer look at what they are doing... I own both the Gear S and Gear S2. I love them both. Each have their own hiccups but I love them just the same..
What makes this watch AWESOME is that it's a standalone that carries it's own number number voicemail and messages..because of that this phone should be able to be traced or tracked without having to be connected to a mobile device. What's the point of having the stand alone if the MOST important feature (GPS tracking) is dependent on being connected to a mobile device!!!
I gave my 9 year old the Gear S... He doesn't need a phone but I do want to know he is okay when not in my presence. The watch is perfect for that because I know that he won't loose his arm..but I can't track him unless I remove my watch and connect his. Samsung, do you see the issue and the potential here?
If you could update the software to allow tracking even when used as a stand alone, Kids around the world would be getting this for Christmas and birthdays. It's much better than giving them a big old phone that they put down and forget to pick up.
Lastly.. I want my son to have the Gear S2 but not only can I not track that one too , it doesn't have the bracelet band... The very least you can do is make it an purchasable accessory. I understand not everyone liked it but again, for the purpose of placing it on my child's arm if by chance it opens he will feel it before it falls...
Samsung, I hope you and others review this post because if you do and these changes are made, your sales will sky rocket and I'm not even a stock holder.
Oh one more thing. The Samsung Gear is an accessory. The Gear 2 is an accessory but the Gear S and S2 stop becoming an accessory when you gave them each their own phone number and ICCID these are now devices and should be treated as such.. I can't even register the serial number on YOUR samsung.com page! not Good!

detailedReviews 54: content: It does everything I would want from a smart watch. The only thing lacking is support for third party apps like Pandora and Facebook. Other than that actions like receiving email, checking the weather and, obviously, checking the time is great.
Very fast and responsive and the design really lends itself from being a couple clicks from any action. It's subtle vibration on my wrist to notify me of important emails, texts, and phone calls while I'm working with my phone muted has been great. I find the speech to text works perfectly 9/10 times. (Plus I feel like a cool spy)
Battery life lasts more than a day and since I charge it every night that's all good. I have yet to try it, but there's a power saving mode for those long nights.
Over the last two weeks I've gotten really into the health features like S Health paired with Lifesum and the Nike running app. I find they work great so far. Too short to report any real health benefits yet.
I'm very active with my hands in making things and normally I scratch the heck out of whatever watch I wear within the first month. I have yet to make single scratch.
I highly suggest it to anyone who needs to mute their phone, but still watch for incoming emails, messages and phone calls. For whomever else it's still one of the coolest toys.

detailedReviews 55: content: I have worn a watch almost 24/7 for a few decades now, and when my last one broke, I decided to try a smartwatch. I did lots of online homework, and settled on the S2 as the best feature/performance/aesthetic/price for me. The S2 connected to my iPhone flawlessly, and the list of installable watchfaces and other apps is far more than I've had time to explore so far. The OS seems pretty intuitive, the bezel control is as cool as advertised, and the screen is amazing. The included extra band sizes are nice too. I have small (7") wrists and use a combo of long and short band for a perfect fit with minimal overhanging strap.
My only quibble so far is that the watch does not wake up consistently when I raise my wrist. I understand the need for auto-off, and appreciate how much it helps battery life, but coming from a traditional always-on digital watch, it can be annoying to look at a blank watch. This is particularly true when you're trying to be subtle about checking the time.

detailedReviews 56: content: I have had this watch for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it. It's the perfect size and honestly looks like a regular watch. It takes my steps and notifies me about any phone calls or notifications I may have when I don't have my phone on me. It's very easy to use and is so stylish. I get so many compliments for it from my customers who notice. It's very easy to change out the bands as well, so you can easily change it to a color that will match your outfit. The only thing I'm sad about is when I first bought the watch and change some settings to how I want my apps, the "Messages" app was available to be put in the "Shortcut Apps" screen, but now it is no longer available so I have to take the extra step and go to ALL Apps and find messages which honestly isn't a big deal, but I liked when Messages could be added to the shortcut screen. I can't wait for more apps to become available for it but I mainly use the S Health and basic apps for my watch and have recently downloaded a calculator and flashlight which I use every once in a while. It would be awesome for Samsung to come out with more options for the watch screen where we can possibly design our own. All in all, I HIGHLY recommend it.

I've been eyeing the Michael Kors rose gold smart watches because they're so pretty, but after having the Samsung watch, I don't think I would be able to switch to a watch without a heart rate monitor, like this one has. It pairs well with my S8+ phone and has a decent blue tooth range. My texts(including photos), calls, and various notifications all come through on the watch. You can also reply to texts on the watch. There are a ton of preprogrammed apps on it and even more you can download. It's awesome having the weather so easily accessible. You can use the blue tooth to take calls on the watch, which is great when you have your hands full. I really like this watch a lot, it's just not the best when it comes to aesthetics.

detailedReviews 59: content: As someone who loves technology, and spends far to much money on it, the Gear S2 has improved on all the things the Gear S was lacking. First and for most the most notable difference is the size. While the screen is much smaller, it's a trade off that nobody will disagree with. The Gear S was bulky, clunky, and cumbersome. It never felt like a watch. It didn't go with any attire that you wore. It did indeed turn heads, but it was more because of the way it looked rather than what it was. The Gear S2 is completely opposite. The addition of the rotating bezel for increased utility, the round screen that looks so smooth and classy, the steel gray finish for class. It all makes this watch right out of the gate a perfect fit. The new feature when receiving notifications it no longer turns the screen on, but waits for you to activate the screen is one of my favorite features. The multiple free faces that it comes with so that you can make it your own watch makes it feel like a better experience. The weight is perfect. The wrist band has been improved in ways we were all hoping. The screen looks brilliant. The pedometer feature works far better than the one on the Gear S. This watch is perfect for every day, no matter what you will encounter.

title: Improved on Gear S, sleek design, great bezel
detailedReviews 60: content: I was thrilled to receive the Samsung Gear S2 for Christmas. It looks great and actually doesn't look comically giant on my very small wrist. I love the different watch faces on it and the ability to respond to texts. I was surprised how well the guessing what you are going to say works while typing out texts. The light buzzing is nice as well for when you get alerts. Although, I have to say sometimes I think it buzzes when it hasn't. I'm not sure if it's just my wrist rubbing against the plastic band or what.
Unfortunately there are a lot of things that I wish were better with this smart watch. I really don't care for s-voice. I don't think it typically gets a lot right when I'm asking questions. It seems to be pretty good with talking texts in, but very slow. I was hugely disappointed to find that I cannot set reminders using the watch nor calendar entries. This is something that is kind of a necessity on a tech tool when you don't have your phone. It seems like there is still an awful lot of apps that refer to your phone to actually use also. The other thing that drives me nuts is how poorly the pedometer works. You will have to be walking more than 10-20 steps before it even starts to count it. I have now disconnected the link for the s-health to my Gear S2 because I frequently find that my step count on my phone will be more acurate. Especially if I am pushing a cart in a grocery store or walking back and forth. So, while it is nice to have and convienent for getting texts and reminders (previously set on your phone), it lacks two of the things I wanted to use it for. Hoping that maybe this will be covered in future updates.

detailedReviews 61: content: The specs say that this device is IP68 rated. This means that the device should be permanently submersible in water according the Specification for IP68.
With that said I have an S2 Classic that was returned to me by Samsung Warranty unrepairable due to water damage. My device was never subjected to anything other than the sweat from my arm or light rain while it was on my arm. Never submerged. How is it that my device has water damage unless it had a factory defect? If it has a factory defect, Samsung should repair or replace it.
I have Samsung TV that I love, I have the Galaxy S7 Active that we like, but are now afraid to use as advertised due to this experience with the S2 and an S5 active that was also destroyed by water damage. It was also advertised and designed to be submerged.
I love my Note 5 and know not to expose it to water and it is working great.
Point is I have been a long time Samsung customer and like their products, but I think it is time to find a more reputable company to do business with.

detailedReviews 62: content: I bought this watch for the ability to be able to use it without having my phone on me. This model allows that because it has its own Sim card and therefore it's own phone number. The watch is slick looking and has some nice features like heart rate sensor, step counter, brand name apps, games, and customizable watch faces. However, unlike its counterparts, the support from app developers for this watch is far from good with only a few apps that you would want on this. Since I've had it, two apps have stopped working because the developers have not updated the app for the watch. On another note, whenever I go to use voice to text message the watch freaks out and I have to restart it. It happens a couple times a day. I also wish it would use the full potential of shealth like stress measure and o2 levels. All in all the features it has and the ability that it works as it's own phone is still cool to me.

detailedReviews 63: content: I have not worn a watch in more than five years and had not been at all tempted by the smartwatch craze. I recently started to work out and thought I would check into something to monitor heart rate and possibly buy into the step-count craze. I have been happy with my Notes, so I started with something that might work with it. The Samsung representative at my local Best Buy told me how the Gear G2 complimented my Note and then mentioned I could put music on the G2 and connect with my Bluetooth headset. That would mean would not need to carry my phone. I love my Note, but it is a bit large to carry around the gym.
The G2 alerts me to texts, emails, and phone calls subtly. I was happily surprised I could read whole texts and emails clearly (don't even need my readers). Love the temp and battery gauge and the classic face option. I really like access to my schedule, weather, timer and several other right on my wrist.
Battery last through the day - and I keep long days.
One wish would be a an alternative "dressier" wristband like available on the Classic. Though as a person who always struggles with watchbands that are too small to get around my wrist, I do not have that issue with the G2.
Kudos to the Samsung rep for hearing what I was looking for and matching up the G2 to fit my need.

title: Alerts to texts, emails, phone calls subtly
detailedReviews 64: content: This is a great watch - let me first say that. I really do like it. My favorite feature is the standalone telephone allowing you to make and receive phone calls as well as send and receive text messages. The only catch is that since the watch has its own line, you have yet another number to pass out to friends and family. To address this problem, AT&T now offers NumberSync, which is supposed to allow the Gear S2 to sync with your smartphone so that you are able to utilize one telephone number across both devices. The catch here is that you need an Android based smartphone and an app named GEAR to initially set up the watch, add apps to it, fully customize the apps and most importantly, generate the sync code needed to enable NumberSync on the watch. If you don’t have an android based smartphone and the GEAR app you’re out of luck.
Paired to my iPhone 6S via bluetooth, the watch rings when I have an incoming call and I can accept the call but then I must use the handset to speak to the caller - so there is little incentive to pair it. I have no way to transfer apps without GEAR, so again, no real incentive to have it paired.
I’ve read that Samsung is planning to release an iOS version of the GEAR app so that iPhone users can experience all that this watch has to offer. I hope it comes soon.

detailedReviews 65: content: I LOVE my Gear. At first I didn't want a smartwatch because I thought they were for show. I got this one over three years ago as a promo with my S8 Plus. I use it for everything. Even though it's no longer connected to my service, it's still useful as a pedometer timer. At home it connects to my Wi-Fi and I use everything on it. I make phone calls, check messages and email and, in a pinch, I listen to music. It's kind of plain-looking but I think it's stylishly plain. Maybe I will get a dressier band for it. It has been sturdy and it came with extra band pieces. I have not replaced or had to have anything fixed on it since I got it. This thing might outlive my phone. If I need to replace it, I won't hesitate to get a refurb instead of buying a new updated version.

detailedReviews 66: content: The Samsung Galaxy Gear S2 finishes off were the Gear S lefted off. First the Gear S2 comes with two size bands in the box small and large and there easy to change and it now has wireless charging. Also Samsung has improved thier operating system for the Gear S2 greatly this time around. With the Gear S2 Samsung fixed a huge problem for me that I hated about the first Gear S , On the Gear S2 the screen is surrounded by a bezel and the original Gear S wasn't witch made it easier to crack witch I did. Now the most important feature of all when having a smart watch it's ideal to have a sim card slot so the watch could have its on number and function independent of your smartphone and the Gear S2 does. While out running I don't want to have my smartphone with me but I still would like to be contacted in case of emergency and the Gear S2 allows me to do this and more. Like listen to music use the running app and GPS all while not having my smartphone with me. But don't worry if you don't want the sim card option there is a Bluetooth version that syncs to your smartphone through Bluetooth but you loose the speaker function with the Bluetooth only Gear S2 and you need your smartphone with you. None the less either way you go Gear S2 4G or Gear S2 Bluetooth only there both amazing Smart watchs packed with features you'll love.

title: Great Bluetooth device, works like phone on wrist
detailedReviews 67: content: Bought it for my wife to use at work since they're not allowed to have phones anywhere on the floor. They can have THIS though. This means if me or my kids need to contact her in an emergency she can be contacted immediately, and even faster than a phone since she doesn't need to unholster it, or take it out of her purse. It's on her wrist. This goes for calls, or text. It isn't tethered to her phone exclusively via Bluetooth which means if she forgets her phone at home or wants to leave her phone charging in the car she can. Everything will still come through the watch. My original plan was to get her the Gear S, but AT&T had been running a promo on it for FREE so they were out until mid January. She needed it now, so I researched this one and then went to look at them. I fell in love with the way it looked. A much more practical look and feel. Plus for a female I thought this design was really much nicer. Simply put it looks like a watch. The Gear S would've been too large for her wrist, plus it has that curve so if it doesn't fit just right it may not look right. So I accidentally feel into a better device for US. And I am not putting down the other because I don't know much about it. I'm speaking solely about design. She can place and receive calls and text and she doesn't have to have her phone nearby. We just wish Samsung would've had the foresight to create more watch bands in different colors and textures to go along with it so I wouldn't now need to shop after market. The apps it supports are fine for now but I'm waiting for more to appear. Especially more watch faces that are FREE. The screen swipe, and bezel twisting are easy to use. Using MY fingers inside the watch area is tricky because of the limited space in the center of the watch, but my wife can do it more easily. Over all I would definitely recommend it, and while the Gear S might have been easier to see and manipulate you also would be wearing a much bigger device that in my opinion looks a little awkward cause off it's size.. In our stable if Samsung devices we own 3 Galaxy S6 Edge phones, 2, Tablets, 2 Blu-ray's, and now the Gear S2. So far so good.

detailedReviews 68: content: Depending on your expectations, this smartwatch can surprise or disappoint you. I have not worn a watch in over 10 years and I was intrigued by the Gear S2. The question was whether I wanted to purchase a watch with digital features or a smartphone that i could wear on my wrist.
To be clear, I don't want or need a watch to do everything my phone does. That's why I have a phone.
First of all, the design is near flawless in my opinion. Sleek, modern, understated and not too bulky. The bezel is the best part. It is integrated into the design and is completely functional. There are 3 moving parts: bezel, home and back buttons. It has a speakerhole, that I have not used yet and don't plan to. I believe you can listen to music and calls through it but I'm certain the quality is subpar.
I have my Gear S2 for less than a month so this review is incomplete. It pairs easily to my Note 5 and the wireless charging cradle is great. However, I cannot use my wireless charger for my Note 5 on the Gear s2. It seems like an issue that Samsung could have easily avoided...
The apps available are limited and I guess that's ok since I don't plan on using my Gear S2 as a 2nd phone. The notifications work great for texts/emails/calls. I'm still trying to figure out the best configuration to extend battery life. Since I cannot use other wireless chargers, I have to bring my Gear S2 charger with me to work.
So far, so good...as expected, it does not change my life in any significant way. Oh, by the way it also tells time :)

We used the upper oven exclusively for the first year. I mean, who need to use the whole oven for a sheet of cookies or a casserole. That year taught us that we liked cooking in the big oven. The upper oven is ONLY convection. About 6 months in the convection fan blade started making a grinding noise off and on while baking. Oh boy! Never really liked the way the upper oven baked. detailedReviews 70: content: I have the Silver Gear S2 4G version . This is one of the greatest Bluetooth devices I have ever used. It has a lot of features, and you can either connect to your phone remotely or via Bluetooth, which gives you a variety. It works like a phone on your wrist literally. I can use multiple apps, and I can use a lot of voice commands. Calls are Crystal clear, and callers can hear me great as well. The watch has different modes just as your phone does, and when set on vibrate mode, the vibration is smooth and it doesn't scare/tickle you. There are so many ways to use this watch now and I haven't even figured them all out. It's easy to use for anyone, and in the future I could see samsung pushing updates to make this watch even greater. The rotating bezel is a plus and the changeable straps adds versatility for any look you want to achieve! The watch faces are customizable and some look like an actual watch on your wrist. Pretty good battery life and it feels good on your wrist, it's not heavy and it doesn't get hot! Also there's a great magnetic charging dock (great feature). It's fast charging and it's literally set up to just drop on the charger and go! And OMG it's waterproof!!!!!!! Thanks Samsung!

detailedReviews 71: content: This is my first wearable watch. I've passed on the other versions nice as they were because I know there is always a chance of improvements down the road. I really like this watch. Nice and comfortable, great to look at and I love the fact that I don't have to pull out my phone to check the time anymore as i do not usually wear a watch.
Obvious issues are first off battery life. It really goes downhill fast. My first day was 16 hrs. I turned off voice search and HR functions, and am seeing if that makes a difference. I do not use the standalone mode, (for calls without phone), and wish the dial wouldn't light when I move my wrist around as that drains battery too, and I have the dimness set to 3. I heard back in December 2015 there was a software update to fix the battery issue and I assume I have it being purchased in 2016. I also am trying a darker watch face interface to see if that helps.
Apps, apps, apps, need more apps. I know this will come in time.
I like the ability to voice texts and talk/receive calls on the watch. This was the deciding factor over the other model. And my callers said they wouldn't have known I was on a watch. :)
Not getting all notifications, like FB, and checked my settings on my phone that the FB app, couldn't figure it out.
All in all, I really like it I am getting used to it, and I am sure Samsung will push out updates as needed.
So I am happy with my purchase, yet it needs a little more work.

detailedReviews 72: content: I received this watch as a Valentine's Day gift; I was very Excited. Well After I wore the watch and realized that I could not handle calls directly from the watch I went to Best Buy. I was under the impression I was doing something wrong. I was advised the only way I could talk using my Watch was with a bluetooth headset or actually using my phone. I was very disappointed, this feature is available on the old watch why take it away? Also when replying to text messages I have to type as if i'm using a old Nokia phone. this is 2016 if your going to make a "smart watch" why do I have to tap 3 times to get the letter "c" etc..?? The previous watch had a full Keyboard one tap that's it. Also Samsung took away the option of a SD card. I'm confused why so many GREAT features were removed from the updated watch. If this was not a Gift I would try to get the old watch and return this one. The watch is lightweight and a lot more feminine than the previous one which is what I like most. However the key features that were removed has disappointed me. One thing I've notice when connected I was in the garden and my phone was in the front of my house and the watch still worked perfectly. ( calls & text were still received) Depending on your needs the watch can be excellent. I'm looking forward to upgrades for Watch I expected so much more.

detailedReviews 73: content: Useful product, with a few glitches.
Having never owned a smartwatch before, my review is necessarily incomplete. The features I've enjoyed the most so far:
- apps based on motion sensors, e.g. tennis app
- customizable selected notifications from phone
- changeable watch faces
- good battery life, around 2 days. Nice dock charger, easy to charge overnight if you keep this within reach of your bed.
Glitches:
- By default, the display is switched off except when you turn your watch to look at it. This doesn't work a hundred per cent of the time, which is annoying when you want to quickly glance at your watch.
- Heart rate monitor doesn't work well. For instance, when I was biking with the heart rate monitor on, I found that it detected the movement due to my biking, and reported my pedaling rate instead of my heart rate. This was an extreme case, but in general, heart rate detection is off by up to 10 bpm regularly.
- Samsung's own Gear apps are poorly designed. You have to download several of these to your phone, each of which is hard to set up, and hard to use thereafter. Also, the Tizen OS (not Android) means you can't use the Android app store, and are forced to use Samsung's Gear store app, which is a frustrating experience.

detailedReviews 74: content: So I am using the Samsung Gear S2 3g on the T-Mobile network. I had been using the Gear S and the only complaint I had about that one was the bulkiness of it. I have to say that the Gear S is everything I have expected and more. I love the ability to have the S2 in "standalone" mode for my runs and I find the GPS to be fairly accurate although not perfect. While exercising with the S2 I have found that turning the watch so it is on the underside of my wrist instead of on the top of my wrist makes the heart rate monitor nearly perfect in its accuracy.
There have been some folks that have talked about the lack of apps for the S2 but that has not been a problem for me. I get pretty much everything I need on the watch but I also don't expect to have another smartphone on my wrist. Notifications are smooth and fast, I find that I never have the volume up on my phone because my S2 always lets me know if my phone is ringing, I get texts, emails etc.
So far there are only a couple of things that I would like to see improved. I want to be able to add reminders or set appointments from the S2, currently we cannot do that. I would also like to see sleep tracking added back in like on the Gear S. Lastly, S Voice could be better or we could have access to Google for voice recognition.
All in all, mine is a good purchase and I would recommend to anybody looking for a great smartwatch

detailedReviews 75: content: Good Points: The rotating bezel is certainly innovative and makes for ease of use. Battery life and connectivity are excellent. Build quality of the watch unit itself is very good.
In terms of the apps it does provide it is great as an information service and means you can largely leave your phone untouched, especially when it might be deemed inappropriate to pick it up.. in meetings etc.
Improvement Points: Lack of apps, I really hope this improves, and quickly.
The strap... absolutely awful. I have had this device less than 4 weeks and have had to order a replacement strap. Whilst the innovative locking mechanism may be well... innovative, it's still rubbish if it in turn comes away from the strap itself.. Samsung, sort it out - where silicone rubber (strap) meets hard plastic (lock) either improve on the glue you use or redesign it!!
I'd love to say I got a Friday night special and am the only person on the planet with a duff strap meets lock problem, but I'm not. An Internet search proves that this is a very clear design fault.

detailedReviews 76: content: I've had my Gear S2 about two weeks and there are some nice features, but what sold me was the promise of AT&T NumberSync. In theory I can leave my big phone on my desk when I go for a walk at lunch or at home when walking the dogs in the evening. The reality is it doesn't work as well as I hoped. There's some delay between when you separate the phone and the Gear S2 (say that first 2 or 3 mins when you go for a walk) and sometimes I get a notification that I've switched off NumberSync... not so, I say. The proof is, can I get a call on the S2 when its separated from my main phone? So far I can't depend on this working.
The SMS app seems to work ok when the phone is near but I frequently get "network error" when they are separated. I think the only realistic input mechanism is voice, so that's what I always try. Sometimes (80%) it works great. I can review my steps and track my water intake, but interestingly... if I'm using the S2 for that, the phone stops recording steps... so if I happen to remove the S2 and take only the phone when I'm walking the dogs my steps "don't count", they are not recorded. I think that's the wrong behavior. I see what seems to be a difference in notifications vs. SMS messages and I'm a little confused. Replying with the built-in messages to SMS is easy and I like that. You'll find lots of watch faces and some are terrific while still free. I'm still looking for more apps like United Airlines or American Airlines or Wink. The Bloomberg app seems finicky about my 'watchlist', but I think I have it working.
I've used the timer and stopwatch a few times and I'd really like to be able to get quickly and easily back to them if they are active/recent. I've been swiping left, touching the apps button, then selecting the timer app again and I can see the countdown... but its too much trouble. Make this easier! The speaker phone works well just remember its for all to hear.
The calendar app seems best for viewing what's on your calendar, but not for adding new entries. Trying to read the news on CNN or Bloomberg is sluggish and small ... not really the best device for this so get the breaking news only and use your phone or tablet to read the stories. I'm trying to get soccer scores, but for some reason it doesn't work as I expect.
Its a cool toy with promise and with some refinements to NumberSync will be nice to have.

Whwn trying to open text messages it will say you have new ones but when you click the icon it says there are no messages. To reply to messagws you can type or talk and yhr phone will type for you. The talk to rrxt feature rarely works. It will seem like it is listening but never process. The watch is basicallly a glorified remote for your phone. It will show you who is calling but you can't actually answer calls on the watch you can only select to answer them on your phone via the watch. The phone has no speakers so you couldn't hear a call if you could answer and also can't listen to music on tje waych, just control music on the phone. Having the watch paired with the phone via bluetooth or wifi causes both the phone ans the watch batteries to drain much faster than normal. The amount of apps and updates you have to install on your phone to make the basic features of the watch work properly are extensive. These apps having to run constantly when wearing the watch in order for it tonwork. This also draons the phone battery. I have the previous version of the watch and feel like the mew one is a step backwards for Samsung.

I took the watch off its charger and slipped it on my wrist. No phone in my pocket. With this watch, you don't need a phone. it's got a little e-SIM inside. The Gear S2 3G makes phone calls. It also gets messages, texts and checks the weather while using a 3G network or Wi-Fi to connect.
I can't say I did all these things frequently, though. I don't power-use watch apps, mainly using my smartwatch for basic information. It's compatible with Samsung and non-Samsung Android smartphones, and has an innovative rotating bezel that helps users navigate around the interface.
I did not had any problem with Wifi & Bluetooth connectivity.
Battery life is comparable to Android Wear devices, running for about 48 hrs on a full charge. I personally like the magnetic wireless charging cradle. You simply drop the watch onto the cradle, and it starts charging.
Only thing that i am disappointed is limited selection of apps on Samsung play store. Not many apps to choose like Android wear on Google play store.

detailedReviews 79: content: I can now safely call this Gear S2 Classic a watch because it looks like a watch! I've used it since it first came out after transitioning from my Gear 2 and I really like the ability to rotate the bezel to switch between widgets. It's so easy and it not complicated. The leather band doesn't hurt at all and has never left marks on my wrist like the Gear 2 did after a day of wearing. A good thing to remember is the Classic is interchangeable with any 20mm bands. What I love about the Classic is that it monitors your heart rate without you having to set it up. It's not continuous but it does in 10 to 15mins increments which I like a lot. One of the newest features that blew my mind was the Event Widget. I don't have to access my Calendar App to know what I have in store for today; the watch reminds me. The back and home button are a life saver as well. Now onto the battery. Gear 2 I went 3 days with a full charge but I rarely used the features that came with the watch besides telling time, notifications, and fitness. While the Classic I go about 2.5 days on a full charge and that's me using Event, Notification, texting, email, fitness, S Voice, Alarm and Maps Widgets. That's impressive to me. Charging the watch doesn't take long either. the docking station is so easy and simplistic.

detailedReviews 80: content: I can't really compare it to anything other then the Samsung gear fit2 I purchased a couple of weeks prior. It's turning out to be a worth wild buy. The functionality is on par with other Samsung products if that's saying anything. The ease of use was a surprise as well being that a few reviewers were slamming it's design and usefulness, but i have found that it's perfect me and what I need it for. I haven't had a stutter or freeze which a common complaint in dealing with android based products. Battery life has been surprising but keep in mind the aforementioned it being my first smart watch . I'm getting about 3 days of use with the third night needing charging, my brightness level is set to 5 which is plenty bright due to the clarity of the screen. I haven't changed any of the out the box settings except the the watch face daily to fit various situations which is awesome . But I digress, It''s a very comforting piece of tec for a tec-head like myself . I recommend giving it a try if you are look for a simple style and comfort for a reasonable price then it may be it.

detailedReviews 81: content: Everything was there, watch is amazing quality and not fake. The watch came brand new missing the small set of bands, however a day later I received the extra small bands in the mail at no extra cost without even having to say anything to them. Screen protectors fit on this watch fine and for $99 it's a steal. Works great with any phone that runs android, tested on my galaxy S8 and galaxy S4. I have not tried with an iPhone but I assure it will work optimally on that aswell. It is completely water resistant, I have washed my hands with it on and had it covered in water and wiping it off it wasn't damaged at all. The bezel feels great and so do the watch bands. All buttons work and the step counter, notifications, and heart rate sensor all work. You can get call and text without paying monthly by bluetooth syncing it to your phone.

detailedReviews 82: content: After practically swearing the Gear Fit had everything I needed, I upgraded to the Gear S2 Classic. I love the new-to-me features in this product! It paired easily with my phone and Bluetooth headphones. I don't think I had to do anything to get it to connect with my known Wi-Fi networks. Overall, this product is fun; I really enjoy using it. The bezel is everything.
I've always thought S Health was a nearly perfect fitness partner. So, I chiefly purchased the S2 to work with S Health. It does that very well. I like that it randomly tracks your heart rate and creates a dashboard of your activity levels. Some of the S Health partner apps, like Hydro Coach Pro, work nicely with the S2.
My two biggest disappointments from an S Health perspective, are the inability to pause the pedometer or track sleep. The Gear Fit spoiled me with these features and I'm finding it hard to do without them -- especially pausing the pedometer. Here's why: I try to get 10,000 steps as part of my daily activities. Any time spent exercising, I track separately and I'm not at all concerned about the steps I get when working out. I track exercise by time, not steps. Without the ability to pause the pedometer, it's double counting the exercise as time and steps. I could track the steps before and after an exercise session and subtract the difference, but for $300, I shouldn't have to.As an alternative to pausing the pedometer, I would be happy if the daily activity dashboard tracked both steps and minutes at each activity level. Right now, it tracks just time.
For all Samsung smartwatches/S Health, it would be great if there was integration with Weight Watchers. Garmin and Fitbit are able to do so. Why not Samsung Gear?
The ability to connect it directly to Bluetooth headphones is so awesome! It makes working out so much easier. The music app is pretty basic, but easy to navigate because of the bezel. As far as I can tell, you can create a favorites playlist. I really wish you could create multiple playlists.
The customizable watch faces are an added bonus. I've downloaded several. It would be nice to see more options that included the step counter. NHL and the NBA have watchfaces. Where's the NFL?
I expected to see more apps and widgets designed for the S2. The notifications from the phone apps are sufficing for now.
I'm eagerly awaiting Samsung Pay integration.
Charging is a quick breeze. I don't use the wake-up gesture, so when I get home from work, I have plenty of battery power left. I charge it in the morning while I shower and a little at night while I surf the web. I've found that the watch does get warm while charging.

detailedReviews 83: content: I purchased the S2 as I was in the market for a smart watch. I am a Samsung guy so I decided to with the S2. I really liked the fact that it had a classic look and not just another device on your wrist. That was the big selling point. I was a swatch wearing person and also had a couple ESQs. So the look was important. Also the size was perfect not too big like the competitions versions of a round bezel. Very much lie the classic swatch I wore everyday.
But this is a smart watch so let's talk functions. I did op for the ATT modeled Gear S2 with LTE. Glad I went that way. Not that it's necessary but more convenient if you leave your phone further than bluetooth range. ATT also has number sync feature which binds your phone numbers to the watch so I can receive calls on either number. Oh I should of mentioned the watch has its own independent phone number. That's really cool so you can make calls weather connected to the phone or stand alone. All other features like the watch face customization work great good set of templates straight from the box, display is bright and easy to read, battery is good, but careful not to have too much running, it will drain quick , weather accurate, which GPS works great. It's mic picks up a good range. No need to hold watch right next to your head, speaker is loud enough to hear and hold conversations, it's a really great watch. The display is good with texts, emails, and other alerts. It does attachments good. All in all great functioning features.
The only real gripe which seems to be with everyone is the lack of Tizen apps especially social media. Other than that an awsome product just like all my other Samsung products. This was written on the Note 4 by the way. Thanks Samsung

detailedReviews 84: content: At 72 years old I am a surprising gear owner. I’m old enough to remember the comic strip character, Dick Tracy, and his two way wrist radio. That said I love the freedom of having a totally functional phone on my wrist. It’s great that it works even if my phone is turned off. Yes, there have been challenges in learning to fully utilize its capabilities, and working with my carrier to get my watch and phone communicating. In addition to my carrier the support of Samsung is great. I enjoyed the Samsung simulator and got some help solving a problem with the “Smart Tutor.” The “kids” at the store are enthusiastic and helpful. I love that it keeps track of my exercising (walking), and encourages me to “keep it up.” No worry about where to put my Galaxy phone while I’m walking. It tracks my heart rate, too.
There are times when I don’t want to worry with my purse when I’m out and about. The gear keeps me connected without that appendage! I don’t have to dig in my purse to answer my phone. OK I do catch a few stares talking to my wrist if it goes off with a call I need to answer in a store.
Imagine how cool my grandkids think I am. Yes, I admit it is fun to learn new technology, and they are surprised that I do—perhaps it keeps me young.

title: Totally functional phone on my wrist
detailedReviews 85: content: I think this is one of the most stylish of the wearables out there. It isn't overly formal and I can wear it with just about anything. There are a bunch of features that I really enjoy like the step counter (virtually identical results to my fitbit. I wore both for a couple weeks to compare). I also think the heart rate monitor is really nice as well.
Sometimes you have to really over exaggerate your wrist movement to get the display to turn on. Also, the "answer call" worked with my galaxy phone but doesn't work with my new nexus phone. There are also some other features that don't work as well with the nexus product as with the Galaxy phone. For example, my alarms used to show up on my watch. Now they don't, even though I've allowed that particular app to post notifications to my gear.
Customization of watch faces is really done well. I don't think there's any more I could ask for in that department. Also, the screen is very readable and the color and contrast are remarkable.
I wish the gear had built in speakers. I'd really like to use my watch as a fully functional Bluetooth receiver to make and receive calls from (James Bond style).
I'm actually surprised how durable the product is. However, I've managed to scratch my screen after a few months of use. I was on the roof putting up Christmas lights and I put a significant amount of pressure on my watch up against the roofing tiles. It's not too noticeable though. I just have to be more careful in the future.
I'd also like to be able to take my watch swimming. Some other activity trackers estimate distance swam. That would be a nice feature for the gear.

detailedReviews 86: content: My experience with this watch so far has been great, I've encountered no errors, crashes, bugs or glitches.
The hardware is solidly build. It's sleek and looks more like a watch than any other smart watch on the market. The bezel works great and in perfect conjunction with the software. It's very scratch resistant and the only flaw about it I can see is that fingerprints tend to remain on the metal.
The pre-installed apps run smooth as well, and they are great things to have access to right from my wrist. That being said, however, one of my biggest issues with this product so far is 3rd party app support. As of this review, key things like gmail, twitter, and many many others have no support other than notifications. I would love to see much more support in future, and if the smart watch industry takes of, it will probably come around.
All and all, this is a must have product for anyone looking for a great watch, smartwatch, or fitness watch, because it does all three. I'm sure soon enough I won't be able to live without it.

detailedReviews 87: content: I love the fact that with this smartwatch you do not have to have your phone with you and still be able to use the phone function. Great for when you don't have pockets and such while exercising etc. I wish it came is various sizes. As a grown adult I have tiny wrist (like a kid) so this watch is huge and bulky on me. I'm VERY disappointed in the pedometer feature. As of now it is completely useless and inaccurate (the step feature is a main feature people look for in a smart/fitness watch). Considering the value of this smartwatch, Samsung needs to update the step feature so that it is more accurate and for users to be able calibrate it based on their movements. I also wish it had Facebook and Instagram apps (we live in a social media world). Overall the Gear 2 is a great concept product, but it needs a lot of improvements. Samsung needs employee people of all sizes/ages/backgrounds etc to be on their testing board to make their products the best of the best and appeal and be useful to everyone.

detailedReviews 88: content: I received this watch as a gift this holiday season, and could not be happier about it. Has many features that I like and that I wanted in a smart watch. Biggest feature to me is getting notifications about email, texts, etc on the watch with a subtle "buzz" instead of beeping. One of my pet peeves in office meetings is when people have their phones out and check messages while in the meeting. I can "cheat" that process by simply a subtle glance at my wrist when it first buzzes...pure genius...LOVE IT!
While I do need to place it on the cool wireless charging stand every night, I think that's mostly because I'm fiddling with the watch all the time. I'm sure I could get at least a few days out of the battery. Simple enough just taking it off at night and placing it on the charge stand.
Love the ability to change the watch faces, and so many included on the watch right out of the box. I've enjoyed changing the face of the watch to match the color of my sport coat when picking out my outfits for work. Wife thinks it's funny, I say it's great fashion sense on my part. :)
All in all, a great watch and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a similar device.

detailedReviews 89: content: The watch model I purchased: Gear S2 Classic
My Carrier: T-Mobile
My Phone: Samsung Galaxy S5
I bought this watch from Amazon (not through their cellular service) for all the things it could do with my smartphone. I then called T-mobile and talked to a rep to hook it up/connect it to my phone to get calls and such and a rep said I needed a sim card for it. I was all 'sim card? but it's a watch - where would it go?' Well, turns out, you DO need a sim card and yes there IS a place to put it. On the back, at the bottom is a SUPER small hole you have to put a sharp object in to get the back to pop out and put it in. Now it can get phone calls etc without me having my cell phone around. COOL! So....now that I have that cleared up.
What I like:
Ability to get calls and navigation with it without having to have my cell phone close by.
It has all the apps I would normally use/want in a watch with more coming (my understanding)
I love that I can change the watch face and brightness all I want
Appears/Feels Durable
Nice watch band (but I'll probably get a more girly one somewhere)
While on Bluetooth the battery will last me almost 2 days with a full charge.
What I don't like:
Watch face is a little too big for me (I have SUPER small wrists and this looks really big on me) but I understand it has to be for what it does
I'm going to scratch this watch face super easily because of the size (I think I might take some screen protector sticker stuff and cut it out in a circle and try to put it on there)
Wish it had a longer lasting battery but I understand this can depend on individual frequency of use.
Overall I really like this smartwatch (it's my first) and so far I am totally in LOVE with it!!!

title: Ability to get calls without phone nearby
detailedReviews 90: content: This is my first smartwatch. After carefully considering and comparing the smartwatches on the market, I decided to hold out until this item was available. I walked into the Verizon store for a case for my son's phone, but happened to look over and see this item on display... This was my chance to check it out and I ended up walking out with it.
Granted, there aren't many useful apps as of now but hopefully there will be some new, useful apps released in the very near future. For what I use it for, the apps will do. The watch navigation is smooth and very responsive. The turn bezel is genius. Changing the settings and options is fairly good, even for a person with big hands like me.
Connecting the Gear S2 to my Note 5 was quick and easily done. It syncs perfectly and changes sent from my Note 5 are received by the S2 quickly.
The battery life is a little over 1 day and that is with light to medium use. I charge it at night so it's ready for the next day without risk of going dead.
Considering the drawbacks of the battery life and limited useful apps currently available, I choose to KEEP IT. The watch is great and with Samsung behind it, the best is yet to come.

detailedReviews 91: content: Depending on what you're looking for, the Gear S 2 is ok. I'm NOT happy with S Voice. It takes too long, and search returns only work for specific things like, "what's the weather?" But more complicated things that it has to really search the Internet for are pretty lame. If you try to search for a flight, it gives me a random travel website with terms verbiage about great travel deals, and a history of the company that flies the airline (because when I search for a specific flight, I really want to know when the airline was formed.)
My first review was denied because I mentioned another comparable product. I'm not sure if I can mention which search engine the gear s 2 uses, but let's just say it's not the most widely recognized search engine and I feel like that's a lot of the reason for the poor search results.
I love having my notifications show up on my wrist, but I wish I had a bit more functionality to reply to notifications from my wrist, as well as less clicks or other interaction to reply.
All that being said, I am very happy with the design, bezel, speaker, and connection to 3G.
Bottom line, if getting information was at the level of the design, and other functions I would've given 5 stars.

detailedReviews 92: content: I recently decided to upgrade to the Gear S2 from the Gear 2 Neo smartwatch and I was a bit hesitant at first as some of the features that were on the Gear 2 Neo are not on the Gear S2. The Gear 2 Neo has sleep tracking capabilities along with a speaker so that you can use your watch to as a phone. On the Gear S2, you need to purchase the 3G version in order for this to work. Since I barely used the old smartwatch as a phone, I decided to go for the Gear S2 as it had a much better design and capabilities.
.
What I love about the Gear S2 is the rotating bezel. It makes app selection so much easier. I understand that the app selection is limited at this point, but I am confident there will be more apps in the future. Aside from the rotating bezel, the screen on this watch is of excellent quality. I have not seen a smartwatch on the market with a screen this nice.
The battery life on this watch is very good as I have gone 2 days without charging with moderate use.
The only thing that Samsung needs to add is sleep tracking support. This was available on previous models and needs to be added to this one. Aside from this, the watch is excellent.
I have had the watch for about a month with no issues.

detailedReviews 93: content: I had bought a refurbished gear 2 neo a little over a year ago recently the screen stopped working. So since I was satisfied with the first one I decided to buy the S2. When it arrived I noticed the speaker wasnt working. After talking to a samsung customer service representative I was told my model did not have the speaker and microphone. This was disappointing as my cheaper refurbished gear 2 neo had those options. I bought the gear 2 neo for its health tracking features the gear s2 has greatly improved upon that but I must say the new operating system is somewhat confusing but I do like it and will still need some time to get used to. At the time I wish there was more info out explaining the different features between the normal gear s2 which is sold at many retailers as opposed to the gear s2 4g version which features a microphone and speaker and only sold at wireless phone retailers for a 150 dollar mre steeper price in the US. The one thing I would like samsung to do is create a rugged oil dirt and grease resistant smartwatch as I work on cars and the chemicals dont play nice with some of the materials on the watch.

detailedReviews 94: content: My work requires multiple meetings throughout the day. In the past when receiving an email, phone call, or text I would have to take out my phone to send the call to voicemail, read the email or text. This gave the appearance of not being interested in the subject of the meeting (really bad if I was not).
The Gear S2 provides me with the ability to see who is calling, emailing or texting without major movement. I am able to turn my wrist and visually see the information presented. I can then reject the call, send a quick pre-canned "In a meeting" text, or even send a quick response email. All this without the majority of individuals in the meeting knowing these tasks were accomplished. This allows my team to remain in contact with me, knowing they are going to get quick responses, they word their emails and texts for that.
The vibrations on the wrist are excellent at reminding me when scheduled events or tasks are due. While driving, I can quickly accept a call with a finger swipe and it will go right to my vehicles Bluetooth sound system.
The round style is exactly what I was looking for as it looks like many of the watches I have previously purchased, I do not care for square watches.
I have been proudly showing the Gear S2 off to coworkers and family alike. I cannot be happy enough with the product.

detailedReviews 95: content: I purchased this device for the stand alone features. Which are great. Being connected is where a lot of the problems come. I get all kinds of notifications from apps like Pandora but then they allways say open on phone, which defeats the purpose of a smartwatch. Things from android wear that I miss are the media controls (volume, pause play.) The notifications are great where they are way off to the left in their own spot. Android wear notifications are way too overbearing. This is a better approach. Some of the alerts are way delayed it even missed them at times. Androidwear notifications are more noticeable with the vibrations. The gear s 2 alerts are to soft. The vibratons are so subtle that I constantly feel like I'm missing them. Wish they would release a watch with better design. Watches like the Android wear fossil watch are what people want. That's why the Moto 360 did so well. But over all this is a great device. The LTE is way cool. Seting up the call forwarding from my phone was way easy. And I think shines in the ability to go on a run or the gym and still be able to be reached without a phone and the automatic music syncing is a huge plus for tunes on a run. Love the speaker for just added functionality and ease of use. Not feeling limited in what i can do is the biggest plus of this watch. Really if they could add the media controls it would be near perfect. With just the need of a little polishing.

The fitness tracker features are absolutely flawless and make keeping track of your activity a breeze. It even reminds me to move when I've been dormant too long. For the price tag I think it makes an excellent companion to any Samsung user that is serious about technology. However given all the great things about it, the reason it does not have a perfect 5 star review from me is that it is still growing. The voice search function works very well, however it does hear different words quite often. This leads to inaccurate contacts and Internet searches. The ability to surf the Web has also been redacted since the original gear s, a feature I was looking forward to. Also the GPS could use a little work. However all in all, I would gladly pay for it again as it has increase my productivity, activity and makes me look really cool when I make phone calls (especially handy in the car). detailedReviews 97: content: So I got the Gear S2 as part of the AT&T free promotion with purchase of a S6. I was extremely dubious - why in the world would I want this ridiculous gadget?? In an effort not to insult the salesperson, I grudgingly took the Gear home. If you told me I would love it, I would have thought you crazy. But two months in, I absolutely love it.
First, after having to check the time, on a phone after giving up my "analog" watch a decade or so ago, I forgot how much I like having a watch again. Seems like a small deal, but it's really nice. And using one of the classic watch faces, it looks like a real, honest to goodness watch - not a gadget. The circular design and rotating bezel is ingenious and makes navigating apps intuitive and simple. Sound quality is fantastic for calls. I have yet to have any drops or complaints about call quality. Skype and text notifications without having to pull out your phone while working is another plus. I'm officially a smart watch convert. detailedReviews 98: content: I was very pleased with this watch initially, but was perplexed as to why it didn't have sleep tracking. I received the update yesterday (I have the T-Mobile version) and it seems to have broken parts of my watch. While it did successfully track sleep last night, the wake-up feature when raising my arm and the always on feature don't work anymore. Those were good features, and I miss them greatly.
The battery lasts about a day. I'm always throwing it on the charger and got an extra to have one handy. Coming from a Pebble, that is a let-down, but it's to be expected given the type of screen.
My biggest complaint is how closed the health tracking is. It works with S-Health and a list of apps no one has ever heard of before. Myfitnesspal? Nope. Mapmyride? Endomondo? Nope. Runkeeper? Nope. It does have Strava and Nike if you use them.
Tizen has enough apps to get the job done and there are a lot of attractive watch faces available. It looks good and gets the job done, but it could and should be better in teh ways mentioned above.

title: Update broke features, closed health tracking
detailedReviews 99: content: I was sort of skeptical about what smart devices can do. It just looked trendy. But this is actually a really useful tool. You ever have a message you needed to check in a meeting? You no longer have to pull the phone out, make a commotion or draw attention away from what you are supposed to be paying attention to, you just glance at your watch. That pays for it. Talking to people on the phone while bathing the kids, no problem. Voice is clear for both parties. The fun thing is that I am still finding some new things. I am not an RTFM guy so that is my ignorance but it makes it sort of fun to discover the current abilities and future possibilities with this product.
If there is anything that needs to approve it would only be battery life. I wish I could get the mileage out of this that I could get from other simpler wearables. But this does a lot so there has to be a sacrifice somewhere. I just hope the next version or if this version could provide better and longer battery life.
Great product and a great tool added to the arsenal.
Thank you.

title: Useful tool, check messages without phone
detailedReviews 100: content: I've used the predecessors to this watch and they have come a long way over the last few years. love the sleek new design, especially because I'm a girl with thin wrists! love that it functions independent of the phone with its own SIM card. (the reason I would buy it over another smart watch) love that I can now use this watch with multiple non Samsung devices. only a couple of concerns... the pedometer does not show nearly the number of steps I've seen on other watches or fitness bands I've worn. I basically have the same kind of day as far as how much I walk so it must not measure the same way. I also wish I could respond to messages from non traditional services but it does allow me to read received messages from them which is convenient at work. I also wish it did not default to the watch speaker when I make a call directly from my phone but that may just be a setting. I always have to disable Bluetooth when I start a call. I still think everything Samsung does is top notch, try the VR glasses, they are so cool! I would not hesitate to recommend this watch to anyone.
