content: I’ve been a loyal user of the Beauty of Joseon (BoJ) sunscreen because I have oily, acne-prone, and sensitive skin…. and BoJ has always worked well for me. When I saw the Fae sunscreen on discount, I decided to try it. The packaging and feel tricked me into thinking it would be lightweight and clean… and it actually is! On application, it feels 99% similar to BoJ light, smooth, and non-greasy. The only difference is that Fae has fragrance, which I personally avoid in skincare.I was impressed. I’ve added two comparison photos: one where both sunscreens are swatched side-by-side, and another where Fae is fully blended into my hand. Just like BoJ, it leaves no white cast and sinks beautifully into the skin...maybe even better. Left: BoJ | Right Fae Texture and finish are nearly identical. Blended Image where Fae is fully blended… no white cast, smooth and natural finish.

snippets: now here's the catch here's the catch this one has oxybenzone in it oxybenzone is basically a broad spectrum uvb and uva sun filter it is very very stable and in most products it it's not used as you know the primary sun filter it's used as a photo stabilizer which is just to stabilize the other sun ingredients, now the problem with this particular ingredient is that it can travel through your skin into your bloodstream now there were some tests conducted on this particular sun filter the tests were conducted on you know like cells in a petri dish or on like smaller organisms where they found out that this particular sun filters caused you know disruption of endocrine cycle did have you know like estrogen-like effects so it did you know disrupt endocrinal system basically but not to mention these tests did happen in like a petri dish of cells so like human body in its whole is very different than you know all the researches that are done on a petri dish on a scientific basis it's very very very different now they did conduct trials of this particular sun filter on real humans turns out it did travel in your you know bloodstream and it was found in the urine but none of those researches showed any conclusive effects of you know this filter on your endocrine system it showed that it caused no harm it was just crossing like for your skin into your bloodstream but it did not cause like any side effect as of yet or in those researches so i am fine with the sun filter but i get why a lot of you might not want to use it or the fear associated to it
