I tried several things - checked no blockages in the tubes, let it cool down, changed the fuse, tried a different socket, checked no blockages in the pipes etc. Still nothing. Took it back for a refund.

There should have been a guard on the base of the unit that you swap over when in different modes, but it was missing!
