items 3: content: This phone is absolutely incredible. I have gone through multiple generations of Samsung and Pixel phones recently. This phone blows them all out of the water. The camera system is superb. It got the 2nd highest Camera score in the world by the reputable in-depth camera reviewer DXOMark. The videos are superb, but with Videoboost, it blows all other cameras out of the water. I tested this against a Samsung S24 Ultra and my mom's Iphone 15 Pro Max, and the video with videoboost, at night and day, is far superior. It gets rid of all graininess or jitter, even when going up to 20x zoom, with incredible sharpness. DXOMark also stated that the Pixel 9 Pro XL would have gotten their highest video score compared to any other phone if they scored it based on the videoboost scores. Remarkable, considering Iphones have long been the king in this department.
Outside of the cameras, this is the nicest feeling/designed phone i have ever felt. It's super attractive, and makes me happy just holding it.
Screen is super bright (brighter than any other phone at 3000 nits). I also charged it from 0% to 66% with the Google 45W charger, so the charging is plenty fast. The first time I charged it, it was a bit slower, but it is super fast now (apparently other Reddit users noticed this as well).
Super Res Zoom plus Zoom enhance after the photo is taken makes this take incredibly sharp photos at super high zoom levels. I found it to be significantly sharper than Samsung S24 Ultra at 30x + zoom levels.
Selfie cam is fantastic, and I like that you can use it at a .7x wide angle too, that captures way more field of vision, with the sharper 42mp front camera.
Also, the battery life lasts well over a day for me, and the cellular connection/modem is dramatically better. I have super fast 5g connection that is 3x faster than the other 5g phone i had previously. I tested this phone on some games, including Wuthering Waves at maximum graphics settings, and it played the game without issue, and without overheating. I know the benchmarks dont compare to snapdragon or Apple chips, but Google must have done some serious optimization and design magic to make this Tensor G4 chip perform favorably against those other chips. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this phone, and I am super excited with the direction Google is taking! If I were choosing between the S24 Ultra or 15 Pro Max, I would pick this phone every time.

items 4: content: Selfie cam is 42 megapixel increased from 10 megapixel over the Pixel 8. Triple camera setup on the back is 50MP primary, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto. The picture quality for the primary and ultrawide is on par with the Pixel 8, the main improvements are in the telephoto, more detail, better colour, telephoto does 5x optical zoom (or 10x depending on who you ask) and 30x total zoom, have added some zoom piccies to the review. It's particularly good at night photography compared to its rivals, presumably it's in the software, it's consistent across all 3 cameras, reviews talk about its ability to balance long exposures.
Screen (I think) is the brightest you can buy right now, 3000 nits, competitors are hitting 2000, if you use it outdoors you're unlikely to find a better screen for sunny days, for example flying drones where you need screen visibility.
Video capture is in 4K but can upscale to 8K. It's a nice feature, but worth bearing in mind it's actually 8K at source.
The larger screen might not be for everyone, but I wanted the bigger screen for browsing, watching videos on the train, drone use, etc. The phone is chunky and a bit weighty, but I don't find it too big. I think many current-gen phones are getting a tad larger to accommodate the requirements for better tech.
The screen is Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which has been lab-tested to withstand a 1m drop onto concrete. Obviously, it's not guaranteed to prevent a crack if dropped on a corner from a height, but it might do.
It comes with Gemini, Google's AI assistant, plus a year's free subscription to Google's Gemini Advanced. I haven't used it much yet, but it seems to be Google's version of an AI assistant.
IMHO, you'll need a case for this. The sides are flat, polished metal and aren't particularly grippy. I was super worried about dropping it, but a cheap silicone case sorted that out.
Overall, really pleased with it.

items 5: content: I recently upgraded from the Pixel 8 to the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and WOW, what an upgrade! The camera is a HUGE step up—photos are so sharp and vibrant, thanks to the hardware/software improvements and AI features. The screen is noticeably bigger and brighter, which makes everything from watching videos to gaming so much more enjoyable. Battery life is also fantastic; I can just about get through 2 full days without worrying about needing to charge. It feels very premium, with nice glossy metal on the edges and a matte glass back panel. I'm very happy with it!

items 6: content: I've been using for a few weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed. The OLED display bright and vibrant, everything looks fantastic. The battery life is solid, easily lasting me through a full day. The camera system is a standout feature, with the 50MP main sensor, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto lens capturing incredible detail and color. The new Tensor G4 chip keeps everything running smoothly, though it does get a bit warm during intense tasks. AI features are fun looking foward to using more. recommend!

items 7: content: The Google Pixel Pro XL is an awesome phone. It's super quick and runs the latest AI software, which makes everything smooth and fast. The camera is the best I've ever used-my photos look amazing with great detail and color. Plus, the large screen is perfect for browsing and watching videos. Just keep in mind that videos can take up a decent amount of space, so you might want to consider getting more storage or using Google's cloud services. Overall, it's a fantastic smartphone that really delivers on performance and quality.

items 8: content: I have always wanted to try a Google phone, and here it is. The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL is fantastic in terms of image quality, user-friendly interface, and AI integration. The battery life is comparable to my Samsung phone. It is truly a great alternative to Samsung and iPhone!
Maybe Google is on the recycling and environmentally friendly route, but I wish they would put more effort into their packaging and shipping for such an expensive product. However, that's not a big concern because of its high-quality performance.

But the real highlight is the camera-it's seriously impressive. Whether in bright daylight or low light, the photos are crystal clear with amazing detail. The AI features like Magic Eraser make editing easy and fun. If you're looking for a phone with a gorgeous display and top-notch camera quality, the Pixel 9 Pro XL is perfect!

items 10: content: First time owing a Pixel and extremely happy. I'm still learning how to make the best use of all the features. I don't use it for games but I do a lot of Internet browsing, emails, news feeds, etc. I get 24 hours out of the battery. I was lucky to get 8 hours with my Samsung S10 5G. Great photos, amazing telephoto. Love the screenshot app and pixel studio stimulates the kids imaginations and writing skills. Scrolling is smooth and the screen is brilliant and responsive.

items 11: content: I upgraded from a Pixel 7 and the 9 Pro XL is such a great phone; all the features I like about the 7 plus a smoother operation and "soft" screen. The camera is so nice! I particularly like how quality the buttons feel. I got a slim case with a rocker style switch cover on the volume and it's perfect. Battery life is great, and it seemlessly connected with all my Bluetooth stuff without issue. I'm glad I went with the Pro XL, definitely upgrade to it if your Pixel is a few generations behind.

items 12: content: I loved this phone and the deal on this. I literally got it for free when I traded in a very old Google phone Pixel 4a. And this phone is underrated. The Camera is one of the best, especially photos clicked in dark, like a Jelly Fish Aquarium. I also have Samsung S24 whose camera is supposed to be better, but this Pixel clicks better photos in many settings (specially dark). I wish Google offered the year subscription to their AI plan, but I don't mind spending for that plan when I m getting this phone for free.
