I chose the Android interface rather than the Nothing phone interface because I am more familiar with this.
Setting up the phone was relatively easy. Didn't realise that if you made the wrong choice during the set up process, the only way back is to factory reset the phone. Not in any instructions I could see,
App transfer was ok, if you realised that the USB-C cable connectors at both ends of the supplied cable was for app transfer. I didn't realise this and tried doing via my Google account. A nightmare ! This needs to be sorted out and made clear that that is what the cable is for. Obviously, useless as a charging cable.
Haven't yet worked out how to get the phone to autofill my passwords on my apps. May be an Android issue. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
Apart from that, the phone is very fast, has lots of storage and seems to have a very good camera. Only used the camera for still shots. I know that it has other tweaks available in the camera app but haven't used them yet.
Connection to the 3 network is good and 5g is great - when a 5g tower is available.
The camera array is a little exposed for my liking and could be prone to damage. This has been pointed out on various forums and feedback. On their new model phone, this has been addressed but comes with a hefty price tag - compared to their other models.
I've put an armoured rubber case around mine with glass screen protectors on both the front and on the camera array. As I'm not one to regularly change phones, I'm hoping that the phone will last a few years.

No one bought a nothing phone for a camera , performance or any other selling factors . and i tell you one thing , i bought it bcs of the glyph light and i get what i want . so i'm so satisfied .
camera is usable , not great but usable . i like the night mode feature tho , like it makes your video glow in the dark .
overall use is smooth like butter , like 120hz , even apple doesn't offer you this hahah . well it's great until it came to the streaming apps or tiktok which u need to wait a bit . but it's not the phone to be blame , sometimes network in your area might be shitty .
the glyph interface work great , but i do hope nothing can make it more compatible with the call from whatsapp since i use ws call a lot . sometimes the glyph doesn't follow the beat . or maybe i don't explore more yet . idk might give another review after .
oh yeah , please buy from this shop , their delivery is hell fast , i place order and receive the phone the next day . the packaging is also secured with bubble wrap .

Quality:Excellent mid range, couldnt ask for a better phone
I love the fact such phones exist. No extras, just the right amount of functionalities. I am still getting used to the UI and the glyphs. Coming from an ancient Huawei P20 this is a major jump in phone ownership for me at least.
It comes with screen protector, but I think will replace it with the official tempered glass protector later.
Love the back cover design and the size of the screen.

The Nothing Phone (2a) is a stylish, competent performer that will work as hard as you want it to, and look good while doing so. It's a no-brainer smartphone that anyone can love, whether your budget is small or large.
It has a weaker camera system, but it still had a strong showing—it's not as aggressive as the Pixel in its white balance, offering some true-to-life colors in select scenes. It's more than satisfactory for its price.
Bought for RM1564 after some discounts/vouchers thrown in during the pre-order on the 6th March 2024. Received on the 9th March during the official launch nationwide.

I have switched over from an iPhone 12 and what I can say is that it is a massive difference in terms of battery life and speed. For the price you pay for this phone you would getting an amazing deal, with 12 gb ram incapability to be boosted up to 20 gigabytes of RAM with the ram booster. Pretty decent camera as well, and the glyph system is really cool. I highly recommend this phone
