This is the brand new 2025 Air Jordan 1 Low OG Chicago., Now, it may surprise some of you, but the Air Jordan 1 Low Chicago is a relatively new sneaker., In fact, the first time that we actually got the Chicago colorway on a true Air Jordan 1 Low was back in 2016., And I remember that release back in 2016. People weren't really hot on the Air Jordan 1 lows., This shoe sat on shelves and then went to outlets and was selling for under retail., And then in 2020 when the Last Dance came out, the shoe jumped up in resale price and was going for like $1,200 at one point., So, it's not really surprising that Jordan brand decided to bring the shoe back., But back to my point, the Chicago colorway is a relatively new thing for the Air Jordan 1 Low., Now, the Air Jordan 1 Low has been around for a long time., In fact, the Jordan 1 Low first released back in 1985, the same year as the original Air Jordan 1's., And back in '85, the Jordan 1 Low was pitched as a more versatile basketball sneaker that could be worn on and off the court., Also, something that I didn't know was that the Air Jordan 1 Low was the first signature basketball sneaker that came in a low top., Now, as many of you probably know, the original colorway of the Air Jordan 1 loaded drop was the natural gray colorway., Now, the second Jordan 1 Low colorway to drop again was not one of the classic colorways that you think of when you think of Jordan 1's, although it is still a classic colorway., Okay, so I guess it depends on which colorway you think of when you think of a Jordan 1, but that color way was the Midnight Navies., And in the years following, the Jordan 1 went through massive waves of popularity., Sometimes it would be one of the most hyped up shoes out there, like we saw in 2020., And other times, no one would care about it, kind of like now in 2025., And because the Jordan 1 Low was always sort of the little brother to the Air Jordan 1 High, you guys like that punch?, It never really hit the same sort of peaks that the Air Jordan 1 High would hit in popularity., But all that kind of changed in 2018 when Travis Scott released his first Air Jordan 1 low collaboration., Now, I'm not saying Jordan 1 lows weren't ever popular., I mean, there was definitely times where they were very popular, but they never really surpassed the Air Jordan 1 high, but also they were never really as maligned as the mids., They were always sort of in the middle., And then, as I mentioned before, The Last Dance documentary came out in 2020., Of course, we had the pandemic, so prices of everything shot up, but the Air Jordan 1 in general in every cut completely shot up in resale prices., And then something really strange happened., The Air Jordan 1 Low slowly started to surpass the Air Jordan 1 High in popularity., People started to prefer this low cut look to the high cut look., Maybe because it was easier to wear., Maybe because at the time it was more fashionable., Who knows?, But for whatever reason, the Jordan 1 Low became more popular than the Jordan 1 High., And even now in 2025, the Jordan 1 Low is still probably the most popular version of the Air Jordan 1., Of course, a lot of that has to do with Travis Scott and the hype of his Air Jordan 1 lows, but it makes sense why Jordan brand is releasing colorways like this on the low top silhouette., And I've got to say, for the first retro of the Air Jordan 1 Low, Jordan Brand did a nice job., They're not trying anything crazy., It's not anything wildly different., It's not a lost and found., It's not a reimagined., This is truly just a retro, and I like it., So, right now, at the time of filming this video, in the beginning of September 2025, this shoe is slated to release on November 15th, 2025 for a retail price of 140 bucks., Now, of course, as we all know, release dates and release prices change., In fact, there have been shoes that I've dropped a review on like a week before they drop and then the price changes all of a sudden., So, keep that in mind., it might be more expensive., I've seen varying reports on what the actual retail price will be of this shoe, but the consensus that I've generally seen across the internet seems to be around 140 bucks and also on November 15th., That could change, but right now it's November 15th., And of course, if you want to grab a pair of these early or maybe you missed out on the release and you want to grab a pair on the resale market, I've made sure to leave affiliate links to this shoe through the YouTube shopping tab on your screen., I personally grabbed this pair from GOAT., It's a size 9 and a half., Unfortunately, it's the only size that I could grab, but I've got to say, I'm happy I grabbed it cuz it's pretty clean., Now, of course, before we dive any deeper into the shoe itself, let's first take a look at the box., As you may have expected, or maybe you didn't, because Jordan Brand has been changing up their boxes recently, you've got a very standard Air Jordan 1 box., It comes in black., It's got the red Nike logo on the top and on the sides., The only real difference is the size tag on the front of the box, which is kind of your I guess your standard Air Jordan 1 low size tag with that little gold jump man., Now, like I mentioned before, I got a size 9 and a half., Not my true size, but it fits all right., The official title of this shoe is the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG and the colorway is Varsity Red, Black Summit White., Inside the box, you get an extra set of laces., In this case, it's a white set of laces., But that's pretty much all you get inside the box., Pretty standard., So, now let's get back into the shoes., Starting off around the toe of the sneaker, you've got this really nice deep varsity red mud guard., Obviously, the color of red and also just the entire colorway of the shoe is much closer to the 2015 Chicago than it would be to the 2020 or 2022 Lost and Founds., I think these are 2022, right?, Yeah, 2022., My years are getting mixed up, man., It's crazy., The leather on the mud guard does seem to be relatively thick., Not as thick as the 2015s and also not as thick as the loss and founds., Actually, it does seem to be about the same thickness and stiffness as the 2025 shattered backboards., In fact, the entire shoe feels very similar to this shoe., Which, by the way, if you haven't seen my comparison between the 2015s and the 2025s with an actual leather expert, not me., I went to an actual leather expert and got their opinion on the shoes uh because you guys didn't like my opinion apparently., Um, check that video out., There will be a link at the top of the screen., That being said, the leather found on the Air Jordan 1 Low Chicago does seem to be comparable to the leather found on the 2025 Shatter Backboards, which as you all know is kind of your standard Jordan brand leather., It's nothing special., It's not terrible., It's just not great., But really, no mass-produced sneaker is great., Moving up in the shoe, you've got this perforated Summit white toe., Of course, the eye stay of the sneaker is that same varsity red leather, which looks really, really nice., The shoe comes pre-laced with black laces., Of course, you do have white laces if you decide to switch them out., I kind of like the look of the black laces personally., Underneath the laces, you've got this white nylon tongue., It's your standard Jordan 1 tongue., And at the top of the tongue, you've got your Nike Air branding on this red patch., Moving inside the shoe, you've got this standard black sock liner., You've got a white insole, which comes with this nice, relatively thick foam., It also has the Nike Air branding printed on the heel in red., According to the back of it, it is a dream cell insole, which is a plus., But getting into sizing and fit, this Air Jordan 1 Low OG Chicago fits just like a lot of the other Air Jordan 1 LO OGs, which is a tad different than other Air Jordan 1 Lows., Now, of course, this is a size up from what I usually wear., It's a size 9 and a half., I usually wear a size N, so it did feel big and I did have a lot of space behind my heel, but it didn't feel overly narrow or overly large to what it should be if it was a 9 and 1/2., I will say I definitely would prefer to go down to my true size and if I buy the shoe again, I will be buying a true to size pair., I would probably suggest buying true to size, but buy whatever you usually buy in Air Jordan 1 Low OGs because they are slightly different than other Air Jordan 1 lows., So, there's the OG variant which has the Wings logo on the back., There's the much more widely available standard non-OG Air Jordan 1 lows which have this more slanted back area., There's the 85 Air Jordan 1 lows, but what I found is that generally they fit me true to size., Now, of course, everyone's feet are different, but that's what I would suggest and that's why you guys call me true to size set., Comfortwise, it's your standard Air Jordan 1 low., The midsole is stiff., I mean, it's technically got an air unit in there, but you don't feel it., If you like that foot on top of rubber feel with a Dream Cell insole in between, which doesn't help that much, but it does help a little bit, uh, you'll be fine with this., I mean, if you wear Jordan ones, you know what the feel feels like., It's not anything special., It's not going to feel amazing after a day's worth of wear, but it's not going to kill your feet., Maybe it will., I don't Oh, it depends on your foot, honestly., Quick plug, we just dropped the brand new Apothecary Varsity Collection., That's a pair of socks that Continuing back on the shoe, you get to this white leather midfoot panel., You've got the larger Nike swoosh, which I really like., I think it definitely fills out the space nicely, especially in this black color., And then moving around to the heel of the shoe, you've got more of that varsity red leather, which actually looks tumbled on the heel., It doesn't really look tumbled on the forefoot at all., Maybe lightly tumbled, but more so tumbled on the heel, obviously stretched out to fit the heel of the shoe., And then, of course, you've got another red leather panel with the Wings logo pressed into it towards the top of the ankle., Jordan brand also has a lot of different ways to do the Wings logo., Sometimes they press it in, sometimes they bump it out like the original 85s., Just depends on what they're feeling like, I think, for that release., Continuing down on the shoe, you get to your standard bright white midsole., Again, much more closely matching the 2015 Air Jordan 1 Chicago and probably the 1985 Air Jordan 1 Chicago when they first released., Now they probably look like this., And then finally, moving to the bottom of the sneaker, you get to your varsity red outsole., I'm really excited about this release., Obviously, I want to grab my size, a size 9 instead of a size 9 and a half., So maybe I'll whatnot these or something., I'm not totally sure yet., This is a pair of sneakers that I originally missed out on., And it's not because I didn't have the chance., I saw these in outlets in 2016., I got to be honest, I was just one of those people that didn't want to wear low tops., Maybe it's because I'm a hype beast., I don't know what the reason is, but it just wasn't the move at the time and it's not what I wanted to do., And I still prefer high top Air Jordan 1's., Like I would still prefer to have a regular high top Air Jordan 1 Chicago, but as I've gotten older, as times have changed, as the styles have changed, and as I've uh started to wear Jordan 1 lows more, I understand the appeal of Jordan 1 lows., I love the fact that you can wear them with a long pair of pants and they look great., I love the fact that you can wear them with shorts and they look great., In a lot of ways, these are more versatile than Air Jordan 1 highs., You can really make them look like highs if you want to or wear them with shorts and they look a lot more natural on foot with shorts than a pair of Air Jordan 1 highs., So, while yes, this pair is probably going to be pretty hyped up because it's a Chicago colorway., I really like this for just the versatility of it., I would love to keep this by my door and rock this as like an everyday sneaker., It's not a sneaker I want to like bust out for Sneaker Con., It's not going to be like my grail piece., Although, there's nothing wrong if this shoe is that for you., I like this shoe just for the wearability of it., I'm just really excited to rock this pair., Let me know your thoughts on the snippets: You already know by the thumbnail and the title of the video that the shoe that we're going to review for you today is the upcoming urgent one Chicago., This one in my opinion is the absolute best sneaker of 2025., Is the best colorway ever in the best silhouette ever., Yes, this time is a low top, but the shoe looks just beautiful., I mean, man, the Chicago lows are back and they are looking pretty much the same as the original one., After 10 years, the Judan low Chicago is back and it's looking just as beautiful as the first time we saw the shoe for the first time., Because in case yall didn't know, the first time that the Chicago Judan low release was back in 2016., But the shoe is looking good. And it's looking good for real. For real., And that big swoosh on the shoe, man. The big swoosh on the Jordan one low looks just incredible, man., And this is the same way that the shoe released for the first time., The shoes looking beautiful and that big swish, I mean that big swish on the Gen One lows, it's beautiful to see., And I think Nike made a really good decision um saving the the big swoosh for the general low Chicago because if you're going to come back cuz the big swish is officially back., So if you're going to come back with a big swish, you got to do it with the best colorway ever., The Jud Low Chicago with that big swish is looking just beautiful, man., Judo is a silhouette that I really really love with big swish or no big swish. I love the shoe, but the big swish, that's a big big plus on the shoe., Nah, but for real, man. Looks really really nice., I mean, man, look how the big swish look compared with a normal one., But the big swish looks just way better., I mean, look at it. Look at it. Look at it. For real. For real, man., I I'm happy to see the big swish back in the J1 lows. It was missing, but now it's back and it's looking just amazing., And I know there's a lot of people saying why they didn't release the Chicago with the 85 cut., Well, first let me say that the Chicago colorway, like I told you, is not an original colorway for the Judin Juan Lowe's, but it's looking just good like this., Yes, the 85 cut is beautiful and will be really nice to see the Chicago colorway on this 85 shape of the Jordan one Lowe's., But this version is the original version of the Judin Wan Loic Chicago., This one is the original Judin Wanlow Chicago from 2016, I think., But this one here is the original one., Look at that. Looks beautiful. Looks really nice., And as you can see, they looks almost identical., I'm really impressed with the job that Nike did with this 2025 version of the shoe., Looks just beautiful with the big swish just like the original one., Man, what a great job Nike did in both of these shoes., But they are not 100% identical. There's some differences between these shoes., But let me just tell you one of them. Look at the Wigs logo on this shoe. It's printed on the heel tab of the shoe., And on this one, we have it embroidered on the inside., Two different placement, two different style of wings logo for the back of the shoe. But both of them looks amazing., Oh man. Man, what a great job. Look at that. the OG 2025., Let me know your opinion about both of these together. How do they look?, But I'm going to make a separate video to put them side by side because I want to go detail by detail to see if we can find some differences between the original one and the 2025 version of the Genuine Low Chicago., But with this one, I think that you're going to have no complaints with the shoe because the shoe's looking just beautiful. Perfect., The quality of the shoe. It's nothing special, but it's it's good. It's good quality., You know, it's Juden One Chicago quality, if you know what I mean., The Jud one Chicago don't have the the best quality., Let me show you this right here. Hold on. Give me a second. Look at these. These are my 2015 Jordan One Chicago. And the quality on this one, yes, it's good. It's nice, but it's not the best quality. It's not premium. It's not anything like that., And we have a similar quality with this Jordan one low Chicago. It's amazing. Looks nice, man., Having the highs and the lows, it's just mandatory for me., But I want to know, do you think these shoes going to sell out? They probably will cuz it's a beautiful colorway., The best colorway, the best sneaker ever for me is the Chicago one., And the low, man, the low is looking just it's looking just as good., For real. For real. I'm loving the shoe. I'm loving every detail of the shoe. It's beautiful., The shoe comes with black laces as you can see, but also include a extra pel laces in white., I'm sure the white laces are going to look really good on this shoe., Stay tuned for the on feet and lace swap video on this shoe where I'm going to show you how this one look with black laces, white laces, and probably I'm going to include red laces just because., But red laces I think will be too much for this colorway, but you probably like it. We'll see. We'll see, man., But now, let me show you how the shoe looks on feet. And they really look good. I mean, really, really good., The Chicago is a shoe that it's always going to look good. It's so easy to rock., The varsity red on the shoe is so easy to match. It's not a crazy red color. It's simple but beautiful at the same time., That's why the Chicago is my favorite sneaker of all time. The most classic sneaker ever, period., So, this is a shoe that if I were you, I wouldn't slip on because if you do, I'm going to end up with two, three pairs of this one. That's how much I love these., But if you're going to go for these, when it comes to the sizing, I recommend you to go true to size. True to size should be perfect for you., It's been perfect for me that way in the lows, the highs, the mid, all the ones fit me perfectly true to size. So I don't think you need to go half a size up or half a size down when it comes to Air Jordan ones., Comfortwise is regular Jun One comfort. You know, this is not the best comfort ever., And it's actually a shoe from 1985. So what can you expect when it comes to that, but the shoe looks nice on feet and that's what really matters for me when it comes to a beautiful sneaker like this., is beautiful and it's not like it's the worst comfort ever, but don't expect anything that is going to blow your mind., But let me know, is this a shoe that you are excited about?, For me, is right now my favorite release of the year is the Chicago colorway in the low top form and it's looking just this beautiful., But for you, is this a cop?
