I am normally a US 7, and after reading the reviews, I ordered the womens 6, which is a men’s 4. They fit perfectly, and I have enough room with a little sock on. They are really stiff when you get them, but break in quickly. The tongue was digging in the front of my leg! I actually thought about returning them but decided to try to break them in and I’m happy I did! I read to push the tongue over to the side until you break them in and that worked like a charm. After 3-4 wears they were broken in and I don’t have to do that anymore! They are now super-comfortable. They can be dressed up or down. Laces are whiter than the shoe which is like an eggshell color but it doesn’t bother me. I bought them for occasional wear-more like a fashion shoe-but have been wearing them ALL THE TIME! You can keep the sides clean with a sponge with dish soap or wipe them with a Mr. Clean magic eraser. I definitely want another pair!!

first, I thought the leather was too rigid & smooth finish without leather grain. but I think this smooth finish gives a clean & refined look. it goes well with a bit dress up outfit.
Many reviews talking about the hard tongue; it wasn't that harsh on my skin. Overall, I like the quality of leather and the color as well.
Delivery was quick & safe as usual. Unfortunately, it came with small stain on the back of the shoes, the light colored suede. but still I like this shoes.

I ordered a size down from my usual 38 as I’d read that the Esplar comes up big. Initially they were very tight but I persevered and am so glad I did. By tight I only mean tight not give you blisters tight. I had none of those. After just 5 full days of wearing they have moulded perfectly to my foot shape. Other reviews had mentioned the tongue being long, rigid and being uncomfortable. I felt this for the first couple of wears but this soon subsided. I wore them on a rainy day in London and they cleaned up perfectly afterwards with a wipe. I love these so much I’ll buy the Esplar with the red trim next. Thanks allsole for an excellent service x

As other reviewers have mentioned, they are very uncomfortable/stiff when you first try them on. I was going to return them, but my daughter (who wears the same size) thought we should keep them. They felt okay on the days I’ve worn them. The tongue needs to soften a bit more, but is nowhere near as painful as their V10 model. You can flip it under to help whilst breaking them in. I found the support in the V10 to be better than the Esplar. These are more like a Converse for comfort. I prefer these because they will be more versatile for pairing between casual and more polished outfits and have a timeless look to them. I bought the 38, following sizing advice, and they fit perfectly. I wear an 8.5 (38.5 Italian and 39.5 French).

There was even some room. I don’t find these to be uncomfortable at all but they are a little stiff and hard to lace (I watched a YouTube video). I imagine with time time they will be easier to put on. I also don’t have any issues with the tongue but I did move it slightly to the side until it’s broken in. I think they are cute white sneakers that go with anything. If you’re hesitant I would do some research first for sizing and give them a try.

I also love that they are eco friendly. The hate is everything else. I ordered the Esplar and Campo’s in all white and the black and white to compare. Sizing is a nightmare and they are the two most popular styles, so I’m going to mini review both in hopes it helps someone else. The Esplar style pictured here is more narrow and the tongue is not as long. This is important because the tongues in these shoes are very tough and very painful!! They are a rough leather that digs into the top of your foot. The Campo ones were just unbearable. The Esplar ones are short enough to push to the side a little bit. As for style, the Campo’s have a platform style heel and are more “on trend” right now. I also liked how the the all white version looked in this style much better. They run wider though, so not a good fit for my more narrow foot. I also personally like the sleeker look of the Esplar. Sizing is a big issue in Veja’s too because they are unisex. I had the same nightmare when I tried to get Superga’s. I went down a whole size in these, so if you can try them on in store, that would be ideal. They aren’t the most comfortable shoes and I feel like they are more for IG posts and maybe quick outings like brunch, etc. They are the kind of shoes that are nice to have because they are cute, but aren’t very functional. If you need shoes you can walk for miles in, keep looking!

It was between these and a pair of Soludos and Sam Edelman. The Vejas is my least fav out of the 3. I’m usually a size 6 and these fit a bit big on me, and half a size down would be too small. These also felt the bulkiest, widest and most uncomfortable during try ons and walking around at home in them. My heel kept sliding off because it’s loose. Leather felt nice but can’t comment on durability.

- stiff, so they take some breaking in
- difficult to put on so definitely not a slip on and go type of shoe
- run slightly big, I usually wear 8.5 and rounded down
- Make your feet look long (this was agreed upon with another friend who has a smaller size than I do)
Overall would purchase another pair!

Got stuck in some rain for not even 5 minutes and the inside was completely soaked because of the split. Veja as a brand said thats "normal wear and tear" after FIVE MONTHS! Absolutely not worth the money - I've had much cheaper pairs of sneaker last far longer.

detailedReviews 134: content: I read plenty reviews on these sneakers that made me hesitant to purchase them but I wanted to give them a try! I’m a true 7.5 so I was a little confused on what size to order. I went to the Veja’s website that has measurements and that was helpful. I ended up ordering a size 7 and they worked out great. There was even some room. I don’t find these to be uncomfortable at all but they are a little stiff and hard to lace (I watched a YouTube video). I imagine with time time they will be easier to put on. I also don’t have any issues with the tongue but I did move it slightly to the side until it’s broken in. I think they are cute white sneakers that go with anything. If you’re hesitant I would do some research first for sizing and give them a try.

It doesn’t have a lot of cushion and support, tongue is too long that it rubs against the top of my foot (work around - fold under), and the sides rub against my ankles (work around - use heel lifts).

When I tried them on in store I could immediately tell, but honestly the comparable shoes I tried on didn’t feel much better. I took a chance assuming they would break in and they did. It took about two weeks wearing non-stop though. I wouldn’t go as far to say they’re super comfortable, but they’re not uncomfortable and they’re very cute. I wear them all the time

I sized down to a 37 (typically a 7/38), but they were so hard to get on, stiff around the ankle area and too narrow, so my toes were squished on the end. I think a 38 would've been too big. These were returned, unfortunately. If only Veja offered more non-leather shoes and half sizes!
