Like many, I'd listened to the Go3 on Youtube. My headphone system is an Oppo105/Feliks Elise (selected NOS glass)/HD800. I have a lot of other gear, too, but that's the reference HP setup. Lossless source material. In videos, to my ears the Go3 sounded somewhat tinny, a bit overly bright, lacking foundation while projecting a one-dimensional perspective. Imagine my surprise when I turned on the speaker, fired up one of my test tracks, and heard that the Go3 sounded nothing like that. I should mention that the speakers sounds best from about 5' away on-axis with the listener's ears.
Many folks in this sector of the market judge goodness by a speaker's ability to play loud and produce a crapton of distorted, undefined bass. I don't care about either of those factors. The more recorded information that reaches the listener's ear, the better the speaker. Again, I was not ready for what I heard. The Go3's resolution is way above its price, shockingly so. Its tonal balance is slightly warm, there's layering, air between the instruments, a sense of recorded space - are you frickin' kidding me? Would not have believed it if I hadn't heard it for myself. The speaker's most striking feature is the overall scope of its presentation - it sounds significantly bigger than its size would suggest, within a reasonable volume of course.
I started auditioning BT speakers in hopes of finding some that can be recommended to an audiophile listener. The Go3 will be on that list, along with the Xtreme 2 and Harmon Studio 6, given some specific setup requirements and managed expectations. There's a stack of boxes in my shop ready to ship back. I listened to many other speakers.

Please fire your designer, I have never seen a worse color palette than this one. I had to stand in MediaMarkt 25 minutes choosing the color, OMG. The blue one is beautiful but haki green, army, white, pink and red are just horrible. Pink one looks like it's dirty (it hurt the most because it's my favourite colour) and the white one just looks cheap. Same applies for the black one.
Red has weird pink details which makes it look not good either.
I think that the design of speaker GO3 technically is nice, compact and the details are absolutely gorgeous, but colours... please, hire a good designer for using right colours. You cannot use red with pink, make white to look like it's dirty, black and weird grey, green and aggressive yellow + purple and the worst you could do is connect 4 shades of pink in one device. Come on. The blue speaker looks gorgeous, the designer guessed colours well 👍🏻

I'm a huge fan of the JBL Go series and this one is just as good if not better then the first two. This speaker is a perfect travel speaker or just to take with you just in case you need it. The soft textured cover seems very durable and looks really nice and high end. I personally love the big JBL on the cover in a soft plastic. The bottom and backside also have soft plastic to keep it from sliding off a table. I used it for over 5 hours listening at medium to lower level (its was background music as we played card games), the battery was not dead and still played on! This speaker can fill a room with clear sound, used in the my shower and also in the kitchen while cooking and it was loud and clear. Bass is responsive but not over powering and highs come out clear. I found at almost max volume it still sounded good. I really like taking this speaker to beach as it produces enough sound for me and a friend to listen to music but doesn't disturb others. This speaker isn't going to compete with the charge or flip lines, but honestly its a dang good speaker for the price! I will probably pick up a couple more for gifts during the holiday season. Everyone who I have given previous versions too really enjoyed them and this new version should please anyone on your list!

• It's about the size of a cell phone if you fold one in half, it fits in my palm an pocket very well.
• I've accidentally dropped it a couple of times on a hard serface, with no visible damage.
• Good quality base, the speaker doesn't bottom-out at high volume, impressive for it's size.
• It's easy to use, I had music playing from it within ten minutes since the package arrived, (it came with a charge)
• I like the attached loop, it's very convenient and usable, unlike the standard lanyard that you'll get with a cheap speaker from a gas station.
Cons:
• The one thing that gets me the most is, once it hits max volume it stops the music then plays a JBL guitar twang and resumes the music. You'll have to watch a YouTube video to see what I mean.
• Another design flaw is the rubber feet on the bottom start to peel off after a little use (3 weeks or so)
All and all, a great little speaker and is my go-to for any occasion.

I received my Go 3 and it was so cute, tiny with a nice wrap. There is a hook on top where you can use something like the hiking latch to connect to your pants or even bag. The hook is kind of funky looking but sufficient.
Connecting to Bluetooth was easy. So I decided to see if one genre was better than another. I got on to my play list and every tune and song came out clear. The speaker is loud, I left it in one room up loud and stepped outside which is about 50 foot difference. I could hear it nice and clear even outside. So using this at a work site if you can would be great. There is not much bass which is understandable it a small speaker.
I recently bought a new TV, I was going to buy a sound bar because the sound quality is bad on my TV. But I used the Bluetooth to connect the Go 3 and my TV. I'm no longer going to buy a sound bar because the GO 3 is acting like a sound bar. Very crisp, clear and loud. The Go 3 will save a lot of money and sounds better than the TV speaker itself. I think this is the perfect tiny speaker for everyone.

The strap could have been eliminated and party-mode added and this would have been a near perfect mini-speaker. Oh, I suspect it will be prone to getting dingy, the kind of surface it has. Just received the product. Tried comparing this JBL GO3 to the one my mother bought at SM City which costs 2,399 pesos. Got mine here for a cheaper price. Both sound quality doesn't differ from each other. Serial Number is molded at the back as well (check pictures included for reference). Haven't done a legit check but based on the reviews, this product seems like a legit JBL product.
Sound quality: Very loud and bass is strong even at half volume level (in small rooms).
Battery: The speaker lasted more than 6 hours. Continues playing on 62% volume level. Charging took less than 2 hours.
Gameplay: Tried playing Forza Horizon 5 on my laptop with this speaker. I don't notice some delays. Cars sounds incredibly good so I might recommend for games like this.
Overall, this speaker has a great performance. Sound is good and is very light weight so easy to carry. Totally recommend.
Kudos to SPX Express for trying their best to deliver parcels despite the holidays.

I ask for OR cause I would be needing it to try to register the product. I'd say it's legit cause I was able to register it on the JBL website. Plus the seller is an authorized dealer so there's no doubt regarding authenticity. As for the sound, it's really good. Loud even from a small speaker. Bass is clear as well. It's like listening to a song straight from a recording studio where everything was already modulated. You can clearly hear every lyrics, and its melody. That's how clean the sound is. Overall, I'm really happy with this purchase. Kudos to the seller and to JBL. Of course special mention Shopee PH. I'd recommend this shop rather than the official store of JBL PH in shopee. I find it runs flat a little quicker than I would have expected - still a decent listening time though, I maybe have to recharge every second day. Also don't like that the battery is basically non-replaceable, so I hope it remains rechargeable for many years, and TBH I think this gripe is applicable across most of these type of devices. Overall I would recommend this product.

The sound is what really impressed me though. Surprisingly stronger sound than I would expect with some heft in the bass level with a pleasant rounded sound. This will not disappoint. Easy to hang from a back pack or branch water proof and dust proof. This can go anywhere. 5hour battery life is a rough estimate. But I carry a phone charger battery which can easily connect to this and give me many more hours than I could ever need.
So don’t hesitate, go buy this gem of a speaker.

Even it mono type.. it deliver their job at best you can heard.. the sound really punchy and you can clearly hear every bit frequency that cause from instruments were played.. the bass not really kicked for me as it mono.. but better than any chippers brand.. its come with type c cable to charge it.. the looks is premium not as simple like other brand and its good to everyone that have it for long term uses.. we wouldn’t want to easily get boring if the design is so simple..

And it has the JBL signature which I love. I'm a student so I got an extra 30% off the tiny price of around £35 to £25 and how much you get is just insane. It comes in quite a nice and compact box. Also the reason why this is my favourite JBL speaker so far is because of its size, it easily slips into my pockets, even sideways. But, if you want double the battery life but losing a bit of portability get the Clip 4, and it also has a caribiner integrated so if you like hiking then get that. But for everyone else, just get this incredible piece of technology

I'll be honest, I am an audiophile I won't touch this with a 10 foot pole. This is for my sister, her monitor has no built in speakers so this is handy.
Objectively the sound is your typical boomy signature in the lows. Very typical of products for the uninitiated, which us admittedly the majority of the consumer base.
The vocals are actually not bad. The vocals are forward but everything else muddied by the boomy lows.
Detail resolution? To that I'd say LOL like what resolution? 🤣 But to be fair it's meant to give some sound and it does that better than most of those so called sound bars out there for under 80RM, those sound like speakers inside a turd.
This saves space and gives basic audio for anyone not into using headphones or earphones while working on the PC.
The battery life is actually good. More than a day with 50% volume in windows. You can go louder but then the battery life will be lesser. 50% is what sis prefers.
My wife's got the Go 2 from a few years ago. Still going strong so we decided to get JBL again.

I do wish there was an indicator to let you know when it’s running low. Last week it just died while I was in the midst of showering. My last speaker would interrupt the song and say, “battery level very low,” and then resume playing the track until you plugged it in to recharge. That’s the one thing I wish this speaker had. Aside from that, it’s PERFECT!

However, it doesn't seem to have been a one-off incident. If you google "jbl speaker start smoking" there are multiple stories of similar problems from various models of speakers, including my own. There are news stories of fires, even explosions, from 2017 onwards.
I would never use another JBL speaker again. It's only luck that my boyfriend and I noticed it as soon as it started and didn't turn into a big fire.

For me, I also have an Ultimate Ear Wonderboom 2 which is about 2.5x larger, and the sound is fuller and has better bass.
Overall: I give this a 2 stars rating for compactness, but so-so sound quality. The JBL Go 3 sounds may be a classs above the speakers of a cell phone. Hopefully JBL continues to improve on bass and fullness of sound quality in their next version. Willing to pay more for sound quality and compactness.

-no percentage indicator of how much battery life is left even when pugged in and recharghing
-the loop does not have clip-on feature like the JBL 3 Clip
-no speakerphone capability
Overal, I prefer the JBL 3 Clip model .....but it is discontinued and can only be purchased on some sites like Amazon at a much higher price than I am willing to pay.
Thus, I guess I have to compromise and buy this inferior mode,l at a decent price with about the same good audio quality

This mini speaker has good volume and projection. Surprisingly loud for such a small unit and the sound doesn’t distort even at max volume. It also has an unexpected bass response for its small size! Really has a good OOMPH!
I’d also like to mention how quick and easy it is to connect to a device. I haven’t had any issues when connecting a new device or having a friend connect, which is great!
The buttons are very responsive. There is a power button, bluetooth connect button, volume buttons, and a pause/play button. Simple and sleek.
The battery life has not been an issue; I’ve never had it shut off due to low battery and I use it quite often. The JBL GO 3 also has an automatic shut off feature. When the speaker is in idle (not connected to any device) it will turn off in about 15-60 seconds. If the speaker is connected to a device, but not receiving any audio input, it will automatically turn off in about 10-15 minutes. Great features!
All in all, this is a really solid mini speaker. I would highly recommend!

detailedReviews 104: content: The worst thing about this product is the sound it makes when you turn it on and off. You can't control the volume and it blasts at the loudest volume possible. There is no setting to change this. I read online that they changed it on the next generation but this is a serious pain point for this product when you're trying to keep volumes minimal.
Otherwise, the speaker works great. Has an odd design where the port for the charging cable faces upwards if hanging from the loop which isn't great when using around water.
