I bought this water filter for the second time. BIG mistake !
Been unnecessary admirer of this (expensive to maintain) German product. The product may as well be good and all, but their "customer care" cares about everything except care of the customer.
It just happened that the tap/outlet of the water tank was broken. Since I was not able to find it ANYWHERE in Pune, I contacted their customer "care". First of all, although they mention support hours as Mon-Sun: 9am-8pm, no one attends the calls post 6:30-ish.
I was fortunate enough to speak to some human in my second or third attempt. That lady was more rude than Donald J Trump. Even though I tried to be as polite and chivalrous as possible, she had some long pending vendetta against me (or probably with everyone who manages to call them). When I reported the problem and politely asked how can I buy a replacement tap, she interrogated me for a few minutes, as if breaking the tap was some kind of non-bailable crime. After somehow surviving that furious fire, I asked where is this conversation going, when I simply want to buy a replacement without any frills. She said that they take quality very seriously !
It might well be the case. But while taking quality this seriously, they are making a joke of customer 'care'. Finally she gave me some random WhatsApp number to submit all the proofs at crime scene - i.e. Bill of purchase, date, photographs of broken tap etc.
By the time that worst customer 'care' call ended, I decided to through the product out and never ever buy it again !
Edit : After i raised my concern, Brita team has reached out to me personally. Mr. A. Sudhakar had been very detailed and considerate. He has followed up until they shipped a faucet (tap) to me.
While there are some improvements/changes to be made by Brita which can improve the customer experience, but the professionalism and care their Customer care team (especially Mr. Sudhakar) has shown is highly admirable. I am updating the rating as well as the review.
