items 7: content: I really debated between getting the air or the pro. The thing that decided for me was price. I watched many videos about each one and felt that the air was best for my intended use. I had 2 different ipad airs before but both are no longer supported by apple (which is sad because they both worked fine). The first one I had was mostly for college, though I didnt fully utilize it. This new one I have been loving it. The colors are more crisp, the processor is faster. I have been using my ipad every day unlike before.

items 8: content: I recently replaced my 5th generation iPad ( 7 years old) with is new iPad Air and I am really happy. The old iPad was dragging with the newer IOS whereas my new iPad Air with M2 processor speeds right along and has no problem handling many windows being opened at once. A really big improvement. You will not be disappointed. Lastly, I was a little worried about transferring all of my apps and data. There was no need to be concerned. Apple made it so easy to copy everything using a local connection or through the iCloud. The whole process was seamless.

items 9: content: I decided to finally retire my iPad Pro after 8 years to buy this instead of a new pro (which is too expensive for a casual user). I find the 11” size to be perfect for reading, surfing and streaming (a nice improvement). The M2 chip ensures smooth performance and has twice the processing power of regular iPad (16 vs 8 core neural engines). I was surprised that my speakers on the 8 year old iPad Pro sounded better than the new Air. The landscape front camera great for video calls makes this a better choice than the iPad. The WiFi connection is better than the regular iPad as it is an upgraded 6E vs 5. While I don’t use the pencil, it supports the latest version unlike the regular iPad. Buy this if you want an upgraded experience compared to the iPad but don’t want to spend $1,000+ on the premium Pro.

items 10: content: Picked this up as an upgrade from an M1-powered iPad Pro (that I have to a family member), and it’s in a home that also has an M2 MadBook Air. My experience contrasts my iPad Pro M1 ownership and our MacBook.
Honestly, the “cuts” from a Pro to an Air are hard for a regular user to notice. If you want the power of a Pro without the steep cost, an Air is fantastic.
M-series Apple devices are strong enough for anything you want to throw at them. In real-world use, this iPad is nearly as strong as the MacBook in similar tasks. You lose MacOS and the obvious laptop-specific perks, but you gain a super-capable tablet that you can pair with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse if you really needed to do laptop-type work.
Overall very happy - they’re still pricey, but they might be the best bang-for-the-buck compared to Pro and vanilla iPads. Worth picking up on sale.

items 11: content: This is a powerful yet relatively affordable tablet. The M2 chip, which Apple included in the previous generation of the iPad Pro, remains a strong performer even two years later. It delivers more than enough power for any typical tablet use. When comparing the iPad Air M2 to the iPad Pro M2, I found that the iPad Air offers nearly all the essential features and performance of the iPad Pro, but at a lower cost. The tablet is very thin and light, the screen is plenty bright, and I can use many of the same accessories that I used with my iPad Pro 3rd Gen. Overall, I find this tablet to be a solid performer, and it’s great to use for essentially everything that I use my tablet for.

items 12: content: I got this to replace my iPad Air 2. Instantly I can tell it's a sturdier build, and the screen clarity is awesome.
The set-up was a breeze, with the device prompting me through moving everything over. It took less than an hour to have everything done and me being able to work on it.
The finger sensor works much better than I expected, and has far less unrecognized than the old home button did. Getting used to some new gestures to help with efficiency is not too challenging, and the tips help keep it very basic to show me what I need for different areas.
I've worked with multiple apps open and switching is pretty easy. Processing speed feel much faster than before, which is to be expected. Over all, not unhappy one bit!

items 13: content: I upgraded from a basic 2017 9.7" iPad to the M2 iPad Air. The old iPad was still working but had slowed to the point of impracticality. The Air is not only much much faster but has a bigger screen whilst not being much bigger overall. It also has no Home button, basically this means getting used to swiping up for the Home Screen and a five finger pinch for the app chooser. No big deal in exchange for greater screen real estate. The other major improvement is the adoption of USB-C for the charging port.
All in all, it's a great machine. I use it for all my computing tasks, from emails to Keynote presentations and photo editing. It's fast, reliable and pleasant to use. Recommended.

items 15: content: I've always loved iPads. When my older 2020 iPad Air took a hard fall, it was clear that I had to purchase another, so I got the M2. I store a lot of video, so I got the 256gb version.
I use the iPad Air every day. The display is crisp. It's a lot faster than I thought it would be, and it's light. Although they claim you can use the older Apple Pencil (2nd gen.), this version didn't seem to like it. It might be because I couldn't unpair it from my older destroyed iPad Air.
Anyway, I wasn't ready to dump another $130 on a new pencil, so I got a compatible magnetic charging pen off of Amazon. It works perfect.
The great thing is that it works great with my old Apple Magic Keyboard. I considered purchasing an iPad Pro, but I wasn't ready to dump another $330 for a keyboard. My wife has the iPad Air Pro M4, and although it's faster than the iPad Air M2, it wasn't enough to be a deal breaker.
All in all, the iPad Air M2 is a great tablet. I had my older iPad Air for 4 years before it got destroyed, and I loved it. I expected this iPad to match or exceed it. It already does.
Great Apple product.

items 16: content: I 'umm'ed and 'arr'ed about which new iPad to purchase - top of range or something easier on the wallet.. I rely on reviews considerably so read as many as possible before deciding on this model. Of course it depends on what you'll be using it for - I mostly use mine to play games, browse the internet and shopping. Plus watch the occasional film...
So, the 2024 Apple iPad Air 11" M2 is lightweight, just the right size (for me) synched across with ease and is a pleasure to use. Screen is hi-res and beautiful, highly responsive - what more can I say? Yes very pleased with my iPad. Though the camera is more than good enough for me, if you want the top range camera, then I'd say model up - so, for me, its really a toy/research tool, if you want an iPad for work or more 'serious' projects then maybe look more top range.
