At first, I only used it in the morning along with a moisturizer and sunscreen. Later on, I noticed good results, so I started using it both morning and night with water. I have red and brown marks caused by acne, and this cleanser really helps to keep my skin hydrated. Even though I still have some pimples, my skin looks healthier and feels so much better overall, and as you can see, I've used several bottles already, so I think that proves how good it is. I'm also looking forward to try their other products as well.

Given my choice, I would prefer a redness relief face cleanser that foams or lathers, and rinses off cleanly without making my face feel dry. Eucerin used to make one for redness relief/sensitive skin that was very nice, but it has been discontinued, and nothing they have now even comes close. This Gentle Face Cleanser is different in that it's got a different consistency that's not like liquid cleanser or creamy cleanser. It isn't a gel, but that's probably the closest description I can think of. You can put it on very gently with your fingertips with harsh rubbing, and rinse it off. It will leave a bit of a residue, but it's not irritating or greasy. You can use it with a wet washcloth to remove eye makeup so that you don't have to buy wipes. The larger sizes, in particular, are pretty economical, as a little goes a long way. It doesn't irritate or dry my skin at all. It may be a little different, but if you have sensitive skin and/or want to avoid drying out your skin, it's well worth trying.

I have used the Cetaphil range before as I know it's good for sensitive and acne prone skin. This cleanser is exactly what it says it is gentle. It is fragrance free and feels very moisturising when you are using it. It doesn't foam up, but my face always feels clean after I use it.
I did try using it as a body wash as well but didn't love it for that purpose but only because I like a body wash that foams up !
You can get this in Australia at Chemist Warehouse for less than $10 which for the size is a very good deal in my view.
I will definitely use this product again and I will also look at trying some of the other products in this range too.
This would be great for someone with sensitive skin looking for a gentle product that gets their face feeling clean while also not irritating it.

Personally I used it as part of my double-cleansing routine as I do have acne in some areas and I find I need the salicylic acid to keep it at bay.
I would liken it to something I expect from The Ordinary; simple, does the one job it’s promising and does it well.
Would I repurchase? Probably not for my skin needs, but if I didn’t have breakouts then yes.

Yes, it does cleaning, although it is considered not deep, the cleanser effectively removes dirt and dead cells while maintaining the water-lipid balance. And if there are residues, they are absorbing almost instantly into the skin, leaving no stickiness or visual remains.
In addition, it also moisturizes the skin without tightening it and does not cause acne - It does not clog pores.
Cleanser does not cause irritation, redness, or allergies, and is designed for skin with issues, helping them heal faster - I'm like that, personally. The effect is immediate, giving the skin softness and smoothness. Its action is aimed at gradually eliminating redness and irritation, improving the smoothness of the upper skin layer - more then I could expect.
Usually it lasts me a long time - several months or even six months. For note - I've loved Gentle Skin Cleanser since it came to the market, but I've bought it from other places before, about eight-ten times.
Summing up - I advise every person with skin problems to try this product, maybe that’s what you’ve been looking for!

Grabe I can't express my gratitude enough for cetaphil. This is my 1st time buying btw because their products are kinda expensive for me for a simple facial wash and moisturizer. I got both the 118ml moisturizer and facial wash for P518.
I have an oily, acne prone skin. I get pimples all the time. When I first got the products, I used it immediately. The facial wash feels like water, as in parang wala kang nilalagay sa mukha. Walang bula or foam. The moisturizer felt a little off since may slight smell siya, I can't explain what kind of smell it is.
I've been using both the products for 2 weeks already and my skin has gotten so much better. Of course hindi ako glass-skin agad agad, pero no joke, hindi ako pinipimple even during the time I had my period since dun ako pinipimple ng sobra. I know skin care products are subjective at hiyangan lang talaga. But I can say that these products really helped me a lot.
So far so good! Will edit if something good/bad happened
Ps: I don't know how this works but I am reviewing both the facial wash (the gentle cleanser blue one) and the moisturizer (the green avocado moisturizer lotion)

I have oily skin, I normally use foaming cleanser in the morning and use a micellar water to remove make up in the evening. The first thing I noticed about this cleanser was the smell, it's unperfumed but smells 'old'- it's a hard smell to describe but the smell is not pleasant at all. It's a little like the smell of some of the Aveeno products, kind of an oily smell. I was also disappointed that this is not a foaming cleanser, you can wash it off but it felt like it left a film on my skin and I wasn't keen on it. The packaging says you can leave a layer on your skin however, so maybe this is what is meant to happen. I would imagine that if you have a dry skin and like a creamy-type cleanser, this may be for you. I'm glad I didn't pay for this as I was disappointed and I think it's quite expensive, despite being a large, industrial-looking bottle.

And I don't have to purchase every "sensitive skin cleanser just because of the word "sensitive". What I have realised is that in order for this product to be somewhat effective, one would need to implement the double-cleanse process and then go in with this cleanser afterwards, NOT as the sole cleanser in the routine. This is what skin care companies will not tell you, that the cleanser works for a specific purpose, and that purpose only.

What are the qualities that make up a great product? It pays to analyse them and consider how they all work together to make a product successful.
I remember once being asked in an interview: “Could you name a product you think is great?”
I put on my “thinking deep thoughts” face and stare at the wall behind my interviewers. As the silence becomes unbearable I’m forced to admit out loud what my brain has been screaming for the last 15 seconds (or has it been minutes?): “I’m sorry, but for some reason, I’ve completely blanked out and can’t think of anything… ”
My interviewer’s attempt to conceal their surprise and disappointment and move on to the next topic, but their unspoken thoughts fill the room for the rest of the interview: I had just botched the most basic question you can get when interviewing for any product position. This truly is the basis of any successful product: if it doesn’t solve a problem for an end user then everything else falls apart. No one would ever buy a tool to do something they don’t do. There are many different user needs: known and unknown, complex and simple, natural and artificially created, part of a chain of needs or standalone; but every product needs to speak to one of these needs and solve it.
If no one wanted to learn a language, we wouldn’t have Duolingo. If no one needed to get from A to B we wouldn’t have Uber (or cars for that matter). If there is no need for a product, it will not be used. Likewise, a product that fulfills a need, but doesn’t succeed at making the process any better or easier (think Amazon Dash button) will not last long.
User needs are not static, we wouldn’t have any new products otherwise. Likewise, new products might not cater for a new need, but simply channel an existing need in a different way: Facebook didn’t create the need for approval, belonging and friendship, but it found new ways of fulfilling it.
Other products attempt to create new needs and offer themselves as a solution at the same time: While it is possible to pull this off, the value proposition will become dependent on that artificial need generation. Wedding rings are a good example of an artificial need that has managed to become so entrenched that most people take it for granted, but in reality, its only purpose is to fulfill the social expectation that jewelers have carefully crafted throughout the decades.
But we’re digressing here, the takeaway is that a product needs to fulfill a need (and do it well) or it shall fail.

Over time my face became increasingly red and reactive to everything. Eyes streaming too. Started to take a daily anti-histamine which helped. Saw a dermatologist who diagnosed rosacea, still didn't realise the cause. Face started to sting and burn after washing so finally made the connection with the cleanser. Did some research and found that ingredients had completely changed and no longer suitable for sensitive skin. Skin is left with permanent broken veins, PiE, PIH, few open pores and blackheads. I believe this cleanser ton be ruinous to skin.

I tried the product today (I've had it unopened since I received it two months ago as I was using up my remaining cleanser) and I was disappointed. I have oily skin, I normally use foaming cleanser in the morning and use a micellar water to remove make up in the evening. The first thing I noticed about this cleanser was the smell, it's unperfumed but smells 'old'- it's a hard smell to describe but the smell is not pleasant at all. It's a little like the smell of some of the Aveeno products, kind of an oily smell. I was also disappointed that this is not a foaming cleanser, you can wash it off but it felt like it left a film on my skin and I wasn't keen on it. The packaging says you can leave a layer on your skin however, so maybe this is what is meant to happen. I would imagine that if you have a dry skin and like a creamy-type cleanser, this may be for you. I'm glad I didn't pay for this as I was disappointed and I think it's quite expensive, despite being a large, industrial-looking bottle.
