So I start up my new 2720 flip out of the box and it just starts to the home screen. No setup like ive seen in videos. There is no wi-fi option and no 4g and no appstore. Missing many other functions in settings including the reset to factory settings options. It does say its on kaios 2.5.2. I'm certain it actually is the flip 2720 but missing so much. Now i saw that on the box it also says it has 2g but no mention of 4g or wifi.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Anyone hae any ideas?

This "smart flip phone" has the functionality I need, in the form factor that slips in a pocket. The Kai Operating system is efficient, and has an app store with the tools I need, not the bloatware I don't.
Battery life is sufficient, phone call clarity is crisp and clear. Large keys are easy to use, and after re-learning T9 texting, the phone is fine for occasional texts and emails.
I do question the reliability of the GPS function, it is not always spot on. Temporarily disabling the 4G service seems to allow the GPS to lock on a location.

If you want Dolby surround sound NR sound quality from a phone buy the high end unit and stop expecting champagne results on a beer budget phone.
The features work as they should. It is a 12 key flip phone that cost $59. Its not a $2000.00 smart phone. It has blue tooth and it has speaker phone ability. It has a camera for BASIC snap shots for personal enjoyment.
The ringer is easily audible. The screen is easily readable. There is an option if you prefer to activate large font/loud ringer features which we did not select.
Plenty of features. Actually almost too many given its screen size.
Great basic phone for those who don't live their lives through a 3x5 inch smart phone screen. For the price if it dies in a year we'll just buy another. Compared to a $1000 smart phone that serves no purpose to us, we can by 10 or these phones over 10 years and still save $400 dollars over a single smart phone.

When his iPhone stopped working I googled many flip phones as his most favourite phone had been the old Razor phone. Across all makes the Nokia 2720 came out the best. It had enough of the modern apps to prove accessible to be able to connect with friends and family, but without all the memory swallowing apps the others have and which also drain battery life. He currently gets approx three days battery life from it before needing to recharge. If all you want is a nice compact phone, reasonably priced to text and call your loved ones this is the phone for you.
Improvement Points: The instruction booklet pdf was comprehensive but didn’t for me reflect the true problems you can experience in working out how to get around your phone. I am not a technophobe so I was able to work it out, for those who are like my hubby, I doubt they’d find the Instructions all that helpful. I am a bit pedantic. So the cumbersome use of correct grammar, capital letters, punctuation, etc., is important to me, lol 😂! If it means as much to you too the Nokia 2720 is hard to navigate in terms of switching from one to the other. Not impossible, just cumbersome. Like they say, practise makes perfect and I found I could type quicker but the most important thing was hubby needed to feel comfortable using it. I watch him now and he’s like an old pro typing away 👍!

So trying to set the phone up as l'd like to use it has been impossible, for example l can't change the font size when texting, the text is so small l can hardly read it. The instruction manual explains how to change font size, however, the options on the phone don't match so you can't navigate through the process. This has been a very disappointing purchase, l will have to buy another phone from a more reliable source.

Instead of sending 1 message to every group member as a single MMS message, it sends individual SMS texts to each person in the group. This is a limitation of the software. This has been fixed in KaiOS version 3.1, and this phone is still on version 2.5.4. Nokia, you guys need to consider updating the software to support this function. Other Android and Apple phones do not have this problem. The microphone is also too dull. You have to be talking directly into the hole in the keypad where the microphone is. If it moves even an inch up/down/left/right when you are talking into it, the microphone will not be able to pick up your voice. Nokia, you guys need to investigate this...its not even right to be selling this phone in this condition. It has led to poor quality phone calls and all of my contacts who aren't getting proper group messages from me are confused.

The pros were that it aided with this as there are very few apps on the handset and I'd read it came with a stripped down version of WhatsApp installed. The downside was it didn't actually include WhatsApp and both the app store and the browser wouldn't work so it wasn't possible to download anything into it; there is no predictive text and so sending even short messages takes ages; and the deal breaker for me was that everyone I called or who called me complained the audio quality was terrible with a loud noise in the background. When I put my sim back into a smart phone handset this issue was resolved and so it was definitely the flip phone. Overall I can't recomment anyone purchase this handset and I would advise you look elsewhere if you want to go back to a 'dumb phone'.

I would like my money back ASAP please guys. I have been late for work a couple of times because I didn't have a phone alarm to wake me up thanks to you guys. I have since bought the same phone from elsewhere and probably won't use CeX again.

Other Android and Apple phones do not have this problem. The microphone is also too dull. You have to be talking directly into the hole in the keypad where the microphone is. If it moves even an inch up/down/left/right when you are talking into it, the microphone will not be able to pick up your voice. Nokia, you guys need to investigate this...its not even right to be selling this phone in this condition. It has led to poor quality phone calls and all of my contacts who aren't getting proper group messages from me are confused.

The pros were that it aided with this as there are very few apps on the handset and I'd read it came with a stripped down version of WhatsApp installed. The downside was it didn't actually include WhatsApp and both the app store and the browser wouldn't work so it wasn't possible to download anything into it; there is no predictive text and so sending even short messages takes ages; and the deal breaker for me was that everyone I called or who called me complained the audio quality was terrible with a loud noise in the background. When I put my sim back into a smart phone handset this issue was resolved and so it was definitely the flip phone. Overall I can't recomment anyone purchase this handset and I would advise you look elsewhere if you want to go back to a 'dumb phone'.

So trying to set the phone up as l'd like to use it has been impossible, for example l can't change the font size when texting, the text is so small l can hardly read it. The instruction manual explains how to change font size, however, the options on the phone don't match so you can't navigate through the process. This has been a very disappointing purchase, l will have to buy another phone from a more reliable source.

Received the phone, switched on but then kept restarting itself due to corrupt software. Factory reset also did not resolve this. I have sent it back and I'm told CeX have to 'test' the phone before they can refund me, and that this would take 21 days. Mate, took me 2 minutes to realise this phone was doomed. I would like my money back ASAP please guys. I have been late for work a couple of times because I didn't have a phone alarm to wake me up thanks to you guys. I have since bought the same phone from elsewhere and probably won't use CeX again.

This "smart flip phone" has the functionality I need, in the form factor that slips in a pocket. The Kai Operating system is efficient, and has an app store with the tools I need, not the bloatware I don't.
Battery life is sufficient, phone call clarity is crisp and clear. Large keys are easy to use, and after re-learning T9 texting, the phone is fine for occasional texts and emails.
I do question the reliability of the GPS function, it is not always spot on. Temporarily disabling the 4G service seems to allow the GPS to lock on a location.

I knew going in that this is NOT where phone manufacturers want their customers to go, and therefore not where then invest to make the equipment better, so my expectations were reasonable. The 2720V does almost everything I ask of it. People say they can hear me very clearly, it works great with my in-car Bluetooth connection so I can be hands free per state law, I can send and receive basic text messages, and I can check the web if absolutely necessary (which I try not to do). I no longer wanted to be that "connected", but still wanted the security of a cell phone. Nokia's 2720 V plus Verizon's 4G LTE network made it all happen.

If you want Dolby surround sound NR sound quality from a phone buy the high end unit and stop expecting champagne results on a beer budget phone.
The features work as they should. It is a 12 key flip phone that cost $59. Its not a $2000.00 smart phone. It has blue tooth and it has speaker phone ability. It has a camera for BASIC snap shots for personal enjoyment.
The ringer is easily audible. The screen is easily readable. There is an option if you prefer to activate large font/loud ringer features which we did not select.
Plenty of features. Actually almost too many given its screen size.
Great basic phone for those who don't live their lives through a 3x5 inch smart phone screen. For the price if it dies in a year we'll just buy another. Compared to a $1000 smart phone that serves no purpose to us, we can by 10 or these phones over 10 years and still save $400 dollars over a single smart phone.

When his iPhone stopped working I googled many flip phones as his most favourite phone had been the old Razor phone. Across all makes the Nokia 2720 came out the best. It had enough of the modern apps to prove accessible to be able to connect with friends and family, but without all the memory swallowing apps the others have and which also drain battery life. He currently gets approx three days battery life from it before needing to recharge. If all you want is a nice compact phone, reasonably priced to text and call your loved ones this is the phone for you.
Improvement Points: The instruction booklet pdf was comprehensive but didn’t for me reflect the true problems you can experience in working out how to get around your phone. I am not a technophobe so I was able to work it out, for those who are like my hubby, I doubt they’d find the Instructions all that helpful. I am a bit pedantic. So the cumbersome use of correct grammar, capital letters, punctuation, etc., is important to me, lol 😂! If it means as much to you too the Nokia 2720 is hard to navigate in terms of switching from one to the other. Not impossible, just cumbersome. Like they say, practise makes perfect and I found I could type quicker but the most important thing was hubby needed to feel comfortable using it. I watch him now and he’s like an old pro typing away 👍!

The battery indicator is just a picture of the battery, but if you go to settings then device heading you can find battery with the % of charge.

Missing many other functions in settings including the reset to factory settings options. It does say its on kaios 2.5.2. I'm certain it actually is the flip 2720 but missing so much. Now i saw that on the box it also says it has 2g but no mention of 4g or wifi.
