Con: I experienced substantial heating issue on day 1, while simultaneously using camera for taking photos switching around sensors & with 5G mobile hotspot on. I know this is very subjective & I'm not surprised at all. Phone will gradually learn usage patterns and optimize accordingly. Later, I have not found any heating issue till now.

I used ios for close to 3 years and suffered a lot with pathic camera and very less features for a high price. I'm giving 4 star because battery life could have been better, Samsung should have given 6000mah battery for all ultra variant. Best camera and Phone has good AI features, hoping for more updates features for photos and apps future. Phone exchange experience was not good as delivery person took extra money.

title: AI features amazing, battery could be better

content: Well first things first: there are a lot of videos floating around how during this sale a lot of fake or pre used premium phones are being sold online. So i had my doubts when i ordered from amazon. The product arrived intact in the company packaging with the 2 paper seals intact, the manufacture date was August 2025 (so yes its not that samsung has stopped making this phone). When i checked for warranty my device showed as registered for warranty on samsung webiste and the day was exactly the day i switched on the phone. Also IEMI no printed on box matches the phone. So this is a 100% genuine product. I hope this helps buyers in doubt. Now coming to the phone itself. Its an expensive phone still even after the heavy discount my overall price was around 68K with all discounts and cashback. It does hurt that such an expensive phone doesnt come with a charging block so you have to spend another 2.6k on amazon for a 45 Watt charger plus you have to buy a case and scren guard additionally. So thats the overall price and if you want a really value add accessory then you can pair this with a glaxy buds pro 3 (which is again available on a good discount in this sale). Also this phone charges max at 45watt and as opposed to 100Watt vocc charging on one plus this seems really slow. Apart from the above negatives everything else is positive on the phone be it looks or usage. Screen is great. When i first started the phone out of the box one corner got heated up but immediately after the software update it was normal and has been like that. Overall build quality+ looks + performance this phone is a beast. At this special price although still very expensive, its a great phone, I plan to use this for next five years at least.

snippets: everything is moving to a subscription ion model these days and from one perspective might actually be a good thing in that it would incentivize Samsung to keep improving these features if Samsung were the one making them and that's the real asterisk a lot of Galaxy AI depends on Google AI specifically the Gemini AI model so while Samsung built the apps that tap into Gemini and it gets first crack at them on the s24 many of these features will come to other Android phones and some are already there Circle to search the most talked about new feature is coming to the pixel 8 the same day it launches on the s24 by some accounts the pixel's new voice memo summary is already better than Samsung's and many of the photo editing features already have Google equivalents and that's why I come away from 9 days with the s24 ultra somewhat underwhelmed not because it's not impressive but because most of the things that impress me won't stay unique to this phone for long as that same Android police podcast episode noted Samsung has seldom been known for pushing the envelope on software where it usually shines is in hardware and while this Hardware is very good and the 7-year update promise is wonderful and the tradein deals are as insane as ever I just can't help but feel this year's Ultra doesn't totally justify its asking price, and the final AI feature that I like is the instant slow-mo it's a top tier idea with good execution it just needs a bit of Polish sometimes when you use it the video video will either lag at the start till the phone catches up or create weird artifacts as it's not quite able to insert the perfect in between frames when slowing videos down, however there's also some more General caveats Worth bearing in mind for all of this AI stuff one that a lot of Samsung's AI is actually based on Google tech and so even some of the things that Samsung made seem like an exclusive almost definitely will not stay that way for very long two that a lot of these AI features aren't actually going to require you to buy the s24su not being made clear so you feel like you need to buy the new thing and then three is the fine print the little disclaimer that we all knew would pop up as soon as we found out that a lot of these AI features are relying on Samsung's online servers that the online AI features are only going to be free until the end of 2025 I don't like it cuz you know the company comes on stage and they say our new phone does this amazing thing and like these s24 phones they're expensive so naturally most people are going to assume that price is your price of Entry to use those features that's how it's worked with every single up until this point so having this hidden charge to use the headline feature you're launching your phone with doesn't sit well with me

snippets: what about photos well if I were to describe it in one sentence what you see is not what you get when you're shooting with the s24 ultra let me explain explain here's a screen recording of me capturing this beautiful sunset in Tokyo I frame it hit the shutter button go to the gallery to view the results takes about 5 Seconds to process and uh the HDR processing just destroyed the natural contrast boosted the shadows and just made it look atrocious keep in mind this is out of the box settings, the ultrawide-angle camera struggles with dynamic range in certain scenarios, Samsung's Galaxy s24 Ultra not quite as fresh anymore it's 2 months old but got to say I do rather like it in some ways but I wouldn't choose it as my full-time smartphone right now not least because it cost well over a grand well I really like the camera Tech on there I still don't think it's the best right now the lik of the xiaomi 14 Ultra definitely a step Beyond and personally I don't get enough mileage out of that S Pen to justify it either and then there's the fact that it's a big old boxy build with those sharp old nasty pointy Corners that jab you right in the fleshy bits but obviously if you do adore that S Pen you like a nice big spacious smartphone you've got bigger hands than my Wii Goblin Ms and you probably get on very well with the Galaxy s24 Ultra very few complaints in all of the other areas including the likes of the performance the battery life that gorgeous display and yeah that's more than enough this bll northerner banging on
