I was worried initially to buy chappathi maker because on my previous experience when I tried to make in an old one the chappathi got harder.
Recently one of my friend told the chappathi got harder because of the wrong consistency of mixing chapathi dough
So today when I got the product to experiment one more time I prepared dough in loose but rollable consistency. I made 4 balls out of it 2 I cooked with chappathi maker immediately and 2 balls cooked it after 2 hrs in chappathi maker.
Both came good.. but the chappathi ball kept for 2hrs came more tastier and softer .
So I understood that dough consistency is most important .
Dough will be little sticky so apply oil in hand before rolling .
. Now chappathi making is effortless.. no rolling no dusting . Will get very soft chappathi. Value for money.
Build quality is good
Heat level is good but outer body is very hot to touch so only touch the handles.
Chappathi dough thickness can be control upon the pressure we apply for pressing it

Every chappathi maker is just a rebadging of Chinese brands. Only difference is some are having sturdy hinges, others not. Otherwise you can buy any product in the market.
The main thing you need to consider while using chappathi maker is the dough you are preparing. It should be very smooth by adding enough water. Means 1 glass atta= half glass water, mix it well keep it for 30 mins... Then press it in maker after green light blinks. That's all. After few mistakes, you will master it.

Like most people I was also confused about buying roti makerbut then decided to give it a try and I was totally disappointed bcoz whatever was coming out was uncooked thick rotis. Later I was able to make little thin roti that too became chewy after 3 hrs. As the product was refundable I decided to give some more tries then i learned for perfect roti u have to make too sticky dough, flat the ball then with little pressure you have to press it once, if other sides are thick u have to just give 2-3 press from all sides and immediately flip cook from that side then flip again and close the lid roti will come out this roti will not turn chewy also. Trust me practice will make u perfect just go for it, your kitchen life will be more easier.

Then the roti was good and taste the same. The roti thickness was also medium. But you have to be carefull where you are placing the dough. You will need practice to make a perfect roti. The only cons is it take some time to warm up and take about 1.5 minute to make a roti.

I've been putting off buying one of these for months (this model and others) as the reviews are always very mixed and generally not good.
Before I bought it I checked out a couple of Indian YouTubers actually using it daily and not just demonstrating it for YouTube. Once I bought it I followed their instructions exactly and every single flatbread I've made since then has been successful. I've mainly used a flour, plain yoghurt and water mix so far but I can't wait to try out different kinds of flat breads. It's also good for reheating them the day after.
I'm very happy that I gave in and bought it - it's fantastic

The rotis are soft , fluffy and round only in the demonstration video shown . However in reality none of the above mentioned qualities are found in the rotis . They are just hard, thick like papad .
Do not buy it . It’s a total waste of money. Might as well learn how to make rotis that will save more time than making rotis using this roti maker. Total waste of money.
