detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I was so excited to try these lipsticks when I got them, and was a bit surprised to find they weren't liquid lipstick when I opened them, only because I've come to associate matte lipsticks with liquid formula. These are uniquely different in the best possible way. They are a creamy and comfortable solid lipstick in a long, slim container. I love the shape because it makes it easy to apply in one Swipe without going outside of my lip line, even at the cupid's bow. I found I'm even able to reapply without a mirror and still looks perfectly put on. The lipstick twists up and down so you can easily get use of every Last bit and don't have to worry about it getting squashed or the tip breaking like with a lot of bullet lipsticks because it twists down to right below the edge of the top. Now, I have to say I was Very surprised by how much I love the Scarlet shade. I have very fair skin with a cool/neutral undertone, so there is only 1 other Red Lipstick that I wear, but it's much more expensive and not as comfortable as this new Maybelline lipstick. This glides on lips smoothly and is very pigmented, so with the red I'm able to apply to center of lips and distribute with a brush to the rest of my lips which makes the red shade super flattering and wearable for me. I wore it through the Holidays and got a lot of compliments. My personal favorite quality of this new lipstick is the formula. I take very good care of my lips... I exfoliate and moisturize every day, but even though I can wear liquid mattes without them creasing or settling into lip lines, I find them very uncomfortable and drying. This lipstick is very lightweight and creamy. Glides on easily and my lips literally look airbrushed. If anything, it hides the fine lines in my lips. Best of all, once applied, I sometimes literally can forget I'm even wearing lipstick because it feels like I'm not wearing any. Yet it is just as long lasting as the liquid mattes I wear. When I do actually have to touch up, I only need to dab in certain places with the exception being if I've eaten something with oil or grease, which then I do a full reapplication. I also received the Mauve shade. The formula is the same high quality, the shade itself is also very pigmented but it's! more of an 'everyday' shade for me since it's more toned down than the scarlet. This also looks great with my fair complexion. I have every intention of buying many more shades of this lipstick. It gives me the mattes look minus all the qualities I've always disliked about the typical liquid matte. Thank you Maybelline! #maybelline @influenster

I have tried a lot of products and this is the most recommended lipstick for dry lips like me. No need to use lip balm for this one, unlike the kiss proof lipstick, it really make my lips really dry and applying lip balm repeatedly is a must.

I usually don't go for mattes and prefer cream based lippies but the ultimatte line is an exception. The lippies are matte but not drying and patchy even after an office shift.
As for the colors, I love all the ones i picked out. Taupe and spice are a little similar though. Pick spice if you want a lippie that has a hint of red-orange. They shipped fast too. Thanks Maybelline!

It doesn't look like a lip balm though. it has a great color pay off and just the right amount of matte. It doesn't leave my lips dry either which is another thing I love about it. I have the two shades More Scarlet and More Muave, neither of these are something I would have chose on my own but I was surprised how much I liked them. More Scarlet was not as bright of a red as I expected after I put it on and More Muave is just gorgeous. They are pigmented really well and look amazing. The packaging is also great, the tube feels nice and looks good with the rest of my makeup and I like the little click when I turn the bottom to move the lipstick. I honestly can't recommend this enough to everyone I know, it's my new favorite!
