detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I have been using some sort of a polaroid camera since 2010. my first instax mini was the 50S. i’ve since have used the mini 8, the wide, and also polaroid brand cameras as well. I am on the less popular side of preferring polaroid over the fuji brand but that’s probably because there is a lot more control with polaroid making it harder to get a quick shot which is what most people are looking for in a instant camera. Which is exactly what makes the instant mini 12 perfect for. If you’re a beginner to photography, or just want a simple point a shoot instant this is def for you! Same quality lens and same exact film as all the other minis. Personally I like the design and feel of the 12 better than the 8 which is what I was still using before upgrading to this one. I love the built in selfie mirror and I love the fact that the viewfinder corrects the parallax mode which means you don’t have to take the photo a little off center in order for the picture to be centered. It takes care of that for you. Close ups/portraits definitely do come out better with the 12 than the 8 though. That is the biggest difference. Polaroids of my first cat would tend to come out blurry but I used it to document my new sphynx’s in my life and was pleasantly surprised with the crisp quality of the image. (I will include a picture of the photo in this review.) I miss the option to choose the lighting setting from the mini 8. but in reality there really isn’t much of a difference. It’s always gonna be a surprise in the end and that’s the fun of it! I like that with the rollout of the mini 12 the introduced an instax app so you can scan all your instax images! This is something they were behind on compared to Polaroid. Nothing compares to my Polaroid Now camera. Which you can connect to the app and set the shutter speed/lighting/color tones and even control the self timer from the app on top of “scanning” your images. Can even take double exposure photos and nothing compares to the iconic square size of the photos! But when it comes to Fuji, I def recommend the Instax Mini 12 to photography enthusiasts and those just trying to capture all the little moments unedited and one of a kind, alike!

detailedReviews 2: content: I got the purple Instax for my 8th birthday. I took it with me on a Disney cruise, and it was so much fun! I love how easy it is to use—just twist the lens and click. My favourite part is the little mirror on the front for selfies. I took so many photos with my sister and even one with Mickey Mouse! My sister has a blue one too
The pictures come out straight away, and I can hold them or stick them in my notebook. The camera even works at night because of the flashing light. It’s my favourite birthday present ever, and now I have lots of pictures to remember my birthday trip. I love my camera!

I suppose that’s more authentic though for the way first time Polaroids were made before they got more advanced. Sometimes the photos come out better and other times the photos are terrible. I assume the camera has a difficult time adjusting to light. The camera does seem to break easily so be very careful. I’d suggest trying other brands and being open to returning what you don’t like

I’ve never owned my own camera before so I figured this was a great jumping off point and boy it didn’t disappoint.
I have taken 18 pictures so far over the course of 2 days and none have come out looking bad at all, other than slightly blurry but that was due to my own learning curves after never owning a camera. I watched loads of YouTube videos after getting it as well, which I highly recommend if you need some beginner tips!
If you have been contemplating this camera, please buy it! I waited 3 years to just keep deciding if I wanted to take the risk, my boyfriend couldn’t take it anymore and surprised me for Christmas.
You will not be disappointed.

Haven’t tried to take photos in this yet, but I already watched some reviews on youtube. I think the best feature of this instant cam other than its color is that it has automatic exposure, flash control for selfies, and It’s ideal for close-up shots which hindi ko nakita sa previous instax mini.
