detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: When shopping for a new 65" OLED TV, I was stuck between the LG C4 and the Samsung S90D. I originally went with the S90D since it got marginally better reviews and seemed to be recommended more by "experts". After about a week, I returned the S90D and got the C4 and have loved it. As much as I adored Samsungs display since it produced more vibrant colors and had a brighter display, there is much more to love about the C4.
1. The C4 has significantly better build quality. This is the main reason for switching from the S90D. I went through two S90D's and both had bent panels and one of them had a defective display. After googling the model, there are plenty of complaints about Samsungs QC with bent panels, faulty power supplies, misaligned ports, etc. The LG C4 on the other hand is built well, with a more premium design that feels sturdy.
2. The C4 has Dolby Vision. While most people probably wouldn't notice the difference between Dolby Vision and HDR10+ (which is what Samsung supports), the implementation of Dolby Vision on the C4 just works perfectly and is more widely adopted. On the Samsung, when viewing HDR10+, it isn't always implemented correctly. On Netflix for example, the image would come out extremely dim. I would either need to disable HDR in the Netflix app to brighten the image or turn Contrast Enhancer to High which would make the image look inaccurate. I have had no issues across all apps and services with Dolby Vision on the C4.
3. The wall mounting screws are placed more towards the middle of the C4. On the S90D they are almost at the bottom. Since I was putting these on a Mount from my previous TV, the S90D's low mounting points made the TV sit higher than I would like, even using the lowest adjustment. Since the C4 has the mounting points in the middle, it was easy putting it at the exact height I had before.
4. The C4 has a better and cleaner OS since you can remove most of the Ads in the settings. It also has better motion processing and upscaling as well.
5. It is easier to clean. The Samsung uses a QD-OLED panel as opposed to the W-OLED panel that LG uses. The QD-OLED has an amazing anti-reflective coating on it, however it is an absolute pain to clean. You can google complaints about cleaning QD-OLED panels and you'll see that it is very prone to scratches and permanent blue cloudy stains. Even though the C4's anti-reflective coating isn't as good as the S90D, I love that I don't have to worry to much about keeping it clean without damaging it.
6. The LG allows you to use your soundbar/sound system with the TV speakers simultaneously for a more full and rich sound experience. Samsung offers this as well, but I wasn't able to get it to pair with my soundbar since apparently, they require you to buy one of their newer soundbars for it to work.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the C4 and truly believe it is the best OLED in its class and price point. It can be found right now for a really good, discounted price since the new C5 is released, but since the difference is marginal, I would consider this while they are still on sale.

title: LG C4 superior to Samsung S90D in build
detailedReviews 2: content: This is an excellent TV and I have no buyer's remorse. It's my first OLED TV and I spent days comparing the options and reading reviews. It came down between this LG C4 and the Samsung S90D OLED. While the S90D has a newer QD-OLED display, it lacks the capability for Dolby Vision and DTS audio. While the LG C4 does not have HDR10+ but does support Dolby Vision and Dolby audio formats. Both TVs can do HDR10 which is the standard fallback video format if either Dolby Vision or HDR10+ is not supported. What it came down do was the selection of media on streaming. Most streamers use Dolby Vision while Amazon Prime relies on HDR10+. Both formats use HDR with dynamic metadata meaning contrast and brightness change fluidly for the content being played. Dolby Vision does this on a frame-by-frame basis while HDR10+ does this on a scene-by-scene basis. Ultimately, I'm happy I chose the TV which fully supports Dolby video & audio. If you use external speakers, this is the TV you want because it supports more passthrough audio formats so your higher end sound equipment will do the sound processing instead. Samsung S90D has a few formats that it can't passthrough meaning the TV has to process the audio first before sending it to any soundbar.
My previous TV was a Samsung LED and I was not fully happy with the OS while this LG C4 TV uses a linux-based WebOS and is very responsive and has a ton of options.
I cannot review the smart features of the TV because I use Apple TV 4K for my streaming. Apple TV 4K also support Dolby Vision which is another reason I chose this TV. I wanted to unlock the full features of my Apple TV 4K.
The picture quality is amazing. I finally have a TV I can watch in a bright room without having to close the shades.
I'm a heavy TV user and will be enjoying this TV for years to come. I use the "screen off" option for when I'm playing news in the background to preserve the screen.
This TV has a powerful Wi-Fi antenna so if you place it near your router, use an ethernet cable instead as it will jam your Wi-Fi and slow down speeds for other devices due to its proximity to a Wi-Fi router.
It's solidly built and feels sturdy.
It's well worth the investment and you won't be disappointed if you have been fretting between this and the comparably priced Samsung S90D my choice is the LG.

title: LG C4 excellent with Dolby Vision support
detailedReviews 3: content: First impressions were that the packaging of this LG TV has been well thought out. Being able to remove the box leaving the tv in place to avoid having to try and pull the tv out of the box, which always feels a little precarious, is a great idea. Setup is extremely simple - literally plug and play. Settings out of the box were also surprisingly good. I like to spend time adjusting the picture settings to achieve the ideal picture for the space the TV occupies, but for someone who doesn’t want to have to do that, using the Expert preset resulted in a pretty good picture right off the bat. Picture quality is excellent and the OLED technology results in perfect blacks and contrast that blows any LED TV out of the water. HDR content looks amazing and for me was one of the most impressive things about the TV and it really shows off the benefits of OLED technology. The LG C series has always stood out as an impressive TV for gaming and that hasn’t changed. Extremely low input lag combined with variable refresh rate, Dolby Vision gaming, FreeSync Premium Pro and more means that it stands out as one of the best options if you’re considering the TV for gaming use. Overall it’s difficult to fault this TV. I’m extremely happy with the LG C4 TV. It’s an excellent all-rounder that packs an amazing punch when it comes to picture quality and gaming support. I’d highly recommend to anyone considering one.

title: LG C4 excellent for gaming and picture
detailedReviews 4: content: This was supposed to be a fantastic upgrade from my 77” cx. I loved my cx, until my dog threw a bone and killed it on thanksgiving. I bought this as it was supposed to be the cx replacement, the upgrade. I suffer migraines 24/7, and it took me years to find the cx, which didn’t exacerbate my migraines. I could watch longer and play games longer on the cx, and I never had any issues with my migraines. I guess I thought going forward the technology would be the same so long as I didn’t buy cheaper, and stuck to the line the cx was in. I plugged this tv in and was immediately berated by a completely fuzzy picture. I thought it just needed tuning, so for two weeks I messed with this tv, utilizing my own knowledge which is extensive, but also reaching out for help from other enthusiasts. Others felt like I got a bad tv, and it was not settings. I posted videos and nobody had ever seen the pixelation issues I was seeing with any movement. If a person moved, at all, their face and skin did this lag thing, almost like tracers if you ever saw those in your lifetime. Essentially even 4k movies looked terrible. So much worse than my cx that I couldn’t believe it.
So here we are two weeks later and I ordered the g4 which was delivered today. Plugged it in and crossed everything I can cross from fingers to toes to eyes, that it would look good. I have to say, I haven’t messed with any tuning and it’s fantastic. So, while my review is a bad one, considering others reviews on the c4, I am thinking I got a bad tv, not that all c4 are bad tvs. So take my words carefully, if you experience the sand issues, don’t waste time on it, replace it. I can’t of course speak to whether this was a once off issue or if it’s a tv issue in general because I decided not to allow this to happen again since I have been removing and hanging tvs a lot the last two weeks lol. I bought the best of the best, the g4 and so far it’s a dream, I have little doubt I will be able to tune this to my needs pretty easily. I did love games on the c4, I hope they are as good or better on this g4.

title: Disappointing C4 picture quality, G4 better
detailedReviews 5: content: Incredible-looking display, but I ultimately had to return it. The auto brightness limiting (ABL) was far too aggressive in bright scenes for me. I purchased this as a gaming TV for myself, and I play a lot of bright games in SDR.
SDR content is already a bit dimmer on this display, but fine if you're watching in a dark room. The ABL, however, would cause the display to get even dimmer and make lighting feel inconsistent whenever I'd pan the camera over bright light sources or move my character into well-lit areas.
You can turn down the OLED pixel brightness and contrast to help mitigate this, but the display ended up feeling even dimmer, and whites didn't have as much pop. I don't mind tinkering with settings, but I quickly realized I was never going to be truly happy with the results.
HDR content is plenty bright but is still affected by ABL. Lighting again felt inconsistent, and the auto-dimming was very distracting. I'd be curious to see how bright the G4 can get without triggering this feature, but paying almost double the price to potentially fix my complaint seems like a bit much.
Ultimately, I love how OLEDs look and still recommend this display if you know you won't be sensitive to ABL. Personally, I think I'll downgrade to a mini LED TV instead so I can get decent contrast but maintain brightness with little to no limiting. I'm sure in a few years the LG C series OLEDs will iron out this annoyance, but for now, it's just not a good fit for me.

title: ABL too aggressive for SDR content
detailedReviews 6: content: I've had a C1 (65") as my main tv for several years and I absolutely love it.
I decided to upsize my bedroom tv which is primarily used for gaming when aforementioned main screen is otherwise in use as there was a great sale on budget TVs last xmas (I went with a TCL 43" Q6).
I thought I'd be fine with a budget tv, but comparing it to the C1 just showed me that it's worth paying for the quality.
The C4 has vivid colors, supports both 4k at 120 HZ AND 1440 at 120Hz, making it a perfect gaming display (at least as perfect as you can get without spending a real fortune). Vivid colors, super low latency, and since OLED, perfect blacks.
If there's any complaint it's that maybe HDR mode could be a little brighter, but I almost always play in a dark room so for me that's not really a huge issue.
The C4 also has shockingly good sound for a modern TV. Audiophiles are still gonna want to use dedicated speakers, but I was pleasantly surprised at how decent it sounded on the occasions I wasn't just using my typical headphones.
webOS remains fine. The mouse pointer remote function is as useless as it's always been, and I wish LG would just go directly to Google TV instead, but webOS is quick and responsive and supports pretty much every streaming service I could think of using.
Definitely recommended if you want a great tv without getting into the higher end flagship model pricepoints.

title: C4 great for gaming, vivid colors
detailedReviews 7: content: This is my second OLED television. I remember waiting years before buying my first one, a 2018 model.
Six years or so later, it was time for a new, bigger one! I selected this 2024 C4 77-inch because it hit the sweet spot in price and performance.
Those of you coming to OLED for the first time will be the most impressed! My first time turning on the OLED TV was jaw dropping. This 2024 model has made small improvements over the last few years. The processing is improved, so lower quality images look better now. The built in apps are faster too.
The most fun comes when watching HDR or Dolby Vision shows/movies. My favorites include The Last of Us (make sure you have the 4K HDR package on max) and Stranger Things.
I will say that I expected the C-series to improve even more during the past six years than it has. My 2018 and 2024 TVs look very, very similar. It seems you need to get LG's G-series now, if you want a technical jump over the C-series. Back in 2018, pretty much all the LG's used the same OLED panel. Today, the G-series get better panels with newer technology. Therefore, I'm having a bit of regret not going for a G-series this time. The advantage of the G Series is that the TV is much brighter, which helps in bright rooms, but most importantly to make those bright highlights truly pop in HDR shows.
Otherwise, if this is your first OLED, you will be blown away. Rewatch all your favorite shows and movies, especially if they're available in 4K HDR or Dolby Vision. I also enjoy the 4K HDR available on the F1 tv subscription as seen in my photo. Cinema, Cinema Home, isf, and Filmmaker are the best modes to use. Stay away from Standard, Vivid, and Sports settings. Those settings are much less accurate.
The sound is not as bad as I expected, but I added a LG sound bar to make it really good (and later swapped it out for a Sonos Arc Ultra soundbar that really upped the game). The C-Series is the best value at LG in their OLED lineup. The G-series gets expensive (with an even better picture) and the B series doesn't save you much, when it is dimmer and has an inferior processor. Many will find the C Series to be the goldilocks choice.

title: C4 improvements over older OLEDs
detailedReviews 8: content: This television truly stands out with its stunning visuals and slim design. The OLED panel delivers outstanding image quality with a significant brightness boost that enhances the viewing experience.
The Alpha 9 AI processor ensures everything runs smoothly, making the built-in apps fast and seamless to use. One of the key features I appreciate is the built-in Airplay and HomeKit integration, which allows for easy automation and control within my home setup.
The television’s performance in natural light is impressive, with minimal reflections affecting the viewing experience. While broadcast TV at 1080p is adequate, the difference in quality is noticeable on such a large screen, particularly when compared to 4K HDR or Dolby Vision content, where this television truly excels. The audio quality is fine, though I’m considering a soundbar to further enhance the cinema-like experience.
For gaming enthusiasts like me, with a PC, the support for 144Hz refresh rates is a nice addition, making for a smoother experience on compatible games. In summary, this television offers a fantastic viewing experience, with excellent processing power and features that make it a strong contender if not the best value in its price range.
I highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their home entertainment setup.

title: Amazing picture, AI processor, Airplay integration
detailedReviews 9: content: The OLED picture is amazing and honestly borderline too bright for my space. I did select the "expert dark room" screen mode which helped. I'll caveat my review by saying I bought this for the panel, and not the smarts. I have a smaller LG C2 so I'm used to the UI, but it still has room for improvement. The WebOS interface was actually better a few updates ago, but LG doesn't let you roll back updates.
During setup I did have some issues getting logged into my LG account but I soon realized that I needed to accept all the user agreements before I could. The TV should've asked me to agree to user agreements on first turn on but it didn't seem to do that. I did go back and unselect the advertising and screen monitoring agreements after getting logged in which does not seem to cause issues now, just the initial log in. Only certain apps require you to log into your LG account, which I found odd, but it's probably for tracking/advertising purposes. If staying logged into my account becomes an issue I'll just hook up my unused apple tv - That honestly works better for streaming anyways. There seems to be a delay in loading streamed content compared to my apple tv 4k, which is considerably older tech, but load times do seem to be comparable to my LG C2. I really wish this came with a gigabit ethernet port and can't understand why any company would go out of their way to even find a 10/100 ethernet port that doesn't support gigabit, but this may be why my apple tv from 2016 loads streamed content faster. I didn't try the wifi on the TV because I'm trying to keep the wifi devices in my house under a couple dozen.
structurally this TV feel solid even for being as thin as it is. I would recommend that if you get it, definitely consider wall mount or stand mounting this. The provided TV stand on the 65" TV is considerably smaller than the stand provided on my 48" LG C2 and I'd be constantly worried about children or pets knocking it over.
Sound quality in the built in speakers is as expected. Don't expect to be impressed. It's slightly better than a laptop. I connected the TV to my 5.1 receiver which sounds exponentially better.

title: WebOS interface needs improvement, slow loading
detailedReviews 10: content: After using this for a week I am really amazed by its quality. This TV integrates seamlessly with smart home devices, with Alexa and Google Assistant built-in, making it easy to control with your voice. The design is another highlight. The thin bezel gives it a modern look, and even though it’s a 77-inch screen, it doesn’t feel bulky. The picture quality is excellent The combination of Quantum Dot and NanoCell technology really brings the colors to life, they’re vibrant and rich, and the brightness is impressive, even in a bright room. The Full Array Local Dimming does wonders for contrast, making dark scenes look deep and realistic. While it’s not quite at OLED-level for the absolute darkest blacks, it’s really close. The 4K UHD resolution ensures everything is super sharp, especially when watching 4K content on streaming. Even standard HD channels look better than they did on my old TV, thanks to the excellent upscaling. The HDR support adds even more depth to the visuals, making bright and dark scenes pop. Switching between apps, live TV, and inputs is smooth and intuitive, and the magic remote with its point-and-click feature makes it even simpler. It supports Variable Refresh Rate, Auto Low Latency Mode and both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync. Gaming has been a dream, no lag, smooth graphics, and stunning visuals in 4K with HDR. Overall, is an excellent TV that offers high-end features without being overly complicated. Whether you’re watching movies, gaming, or streaming shows, it delivers outstanding performance. The picture quality is fantastic, the interface is smooth, and the ability to connect Bluetooth headphones is a big plus. If you’re looking for a TV that’s easy to use and performs exceptionally well, I highly recommend it.

title: Excellent picture, smart home integration
detailedReviews 11: content: In a few words…this television is an exceptional upgrade from the 60” 2017 LG UHD (which still functions just fine). The picture and audio quality are incomparable to some of the other big-name televisions. I would recommend this television to anyone who values an extremely clear picture and who is also willing to spend the extra money for a good, quality product. As one of my old friend’s would say, “if you want to play, you’ve got to pay.” Good quality often comes at a higher price.
Now, for the not so good. We are living in the year 2024 and one would think that a mega brand, such as LG (one which makes up 90% of all major appliances in my house) would have, or offer, better software to go with their products. The LG ThinQ app is the absolute worst. The app often loses connection with the televisions and the private audio does not work upon leaving the app (to surf Safari). The app also has quite a few misspellings on it, which initially made me think that I had downloaded some bootleg version of the app.
I also purchased an LG soundbar (7.1.3) to go with one of the LG C4 televisions that I purchased and this too was not user friendly at all. The soundbar has three LED lights behind the mesh screen that blink, or flash, in a particular sequence to supposedly indicate particular settings and outputs for the bar. What I would love to see from LG, a company that I have been loyal to over the years, is better continuity, connectivity, and ease of use among LG’s products.
I believe LG has great products, but should work on the software side of things – which is oh so important in today’s competitive environment. If Apple products were this difficult to use with one another, I would not purchase them…LG should be no different. In the year 2024, there is no reason not to have a user-friendly app to accompany any television, washer, dryer, soundbar, blu-ray player, or any other electronic LG sells. I pay for a premium product, I expect a premium service and software that compliments it and makes it easier to use. LG, please do better.

title: LG ThinQ app and soundbar not user-friendly
detailedReviews 12: content: This review is for the C4 OLED LG 48 Inch. I tossed on the 42 and 48 and chose the 48, i didn't want any bigger for the bedroom, it's actually quite a good size. Coming from a 42 Inch LED 4K HDR TV, i thought i would be more WOWED than i am to be honest being OLED, the only noticeable difference is the blacks are black (which is better than the greyish tone of LED backlight), it isn't any brighter in my opinion (i kinda of hoped it would be a little brighter for the lighter areas), but does look pretty decent, it is better without lights on as you can get some reflection from lighting/windows, wasn't an issue with previous LED TV. I cannot comment on apps and TV stuff as i don't use any of that, i just connect a PS5 and an Apple TV and i'm good to go. It feels very responsive without that little lag i got from the previous TV. The magic remote is a lot to be desired, wish LG hurry up and move away from it and go back to a standard style remote, which was why i moved from LG to another brand the last purchase, but because that brand didn't make a TV smaller than 55 in OLED i went back to LG. glad i got this on SALE because i'm not WOWED enough to pay the full price. The connections are on the left side of this TV which is better for me as the last TV was on the right side and was a pain to get to. There are some connection right in the middle that is rather hard to reach if you are wall mounting. Speaking of wall mounting, i was lucky that the wall mount bracket i was using fits this TV so i didn't have to buy another, but was a trial and error to get the right screws for the TV as there's no mention whatsoever anyway that i could find but managed after a couple of trips. Hope the newer C5 has improved some of the complaints i have with this one, though it does cost significantly more and bought this as i was sticking to a budget.

title: Magic remote not ideal, good blacks
detailedReviews 13: content: By far the best tv I’ve owned. Was coming from a 2016 Samsung and the improvement in quality is amazing. If you’ve only had led in the past I would definitely recommend moving up to a oled, the difference in picture quality is unbelievable. The colors on this tv really pop and are amazing. I shopped around and did research for months before buying a top of the line Hisense led and returning it because of picture quality and lag and other issues in the OS. Some of Samsungs $2000 were equal or better in picture but mostly because of brightness but due to Samsungs poor quality I will never buy another one unless they really do a180 and change for the better. So it ended up being between the Lg C4 or G4 I went with C4 only because of the $900 price difference at the time. The G4 probably has the best picture of any tv I’ve ever seen, it’s a work of art but i just couldn’t make myself pull the trigger to spend that much more money when the C4 is almost as good except it doesn’t reach the brightness levels that the G4 could. I’m not a gamer but this tv seems like it would be great for those who are as well. Speeds, latency, refresh rates are all good as well as a nice OS. If you have the money and want the absolute best or it’s going in an extremely bright room then go with the G4, otherwise I promise you won’t be disappointed in the slightest with the C4… you’ll probably even be ecstatic. This would be my top recommendation for anyone looking for a mid-high end tv, but if u need to know you have the absolute best then get the C4. Sound is good but as with most of these thinner TVs a sound bar is a good investment. Just get it and thank me later!!

title: C4 amazing picture, better than LED
detailedReviews 14: content: It was time to upgrade my old TV from 2016 to something newer due to issues with the old TV. After researching best brands, and the latest TV tech I decided on this LG C4 OLED TV. I was also considering the LG B4 but for the price, compared to the C4 and other tech like Mini-LED or QNED, this was the best choice in the end.
It was a huge upgrade from my old TV. Picture quality is amazing from all angles. So clear and vibrant. I was concerned about glare with the glossy screen but the glare isn't a problem in a well lit room, depending on your viewing angle and light source. Does well in low light too!
I was also worried about sound with the TV's built-in speakers, but they're great in a bedroom space. I'm not that big on audio/theater to know any difference, but they're much louder, more rich bass and clearer audio than the TV it replaced. The TV is super thin which is mind-blowing. I was worried about handling it when setting it up, but handled with extra care and followed the included guides. The TV is not wall mounted, but using the included stand which is very sturdy and solid. I do like the stand is centered compared to tiny legs at the sides. It's a nice modern look. It does support wall mounting if you require that.
The LG webOS is super quick and responsive. It took a minute to figure out the Magic remote and navigating the menus (as expected) but it gives you just what you need and then some. You can adjust picture, brightness, contrast, sound, energy saving, software updates, and more. The TV tuner also found additional channels (antenna TV) the old TV did not have.
I don't use the built-in streaming apps, and pair it with an Apple TV, so I can't offer experience on those. They're both working well together and no issues. I would recommend an HDMI 2.1 cable to support the higher quality of the TV if you pair it with an Apple TV or gaming console as the TV does support HDMI 2.1, as well as Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos for sound.
You can remove the built-in apps you don't need which cuts down on the main screen clutter making it simpler. You can also turn off most suggested content, ads, and AI features if those don't interest you which is nice to see and have the option to do so. Thank you, LG, for providing options!
I'm very happy with my purchase so far and it's definitely a great upgrade and worthy investment! It's a stunning looking TV by itself, and when watching content. You won't be disappointed.

title: WebOS quick and responsive, great picture
detailedReviews 15: content: One word describes this purchase, WOW! I've had older LG tv's in the past but this is on another level, from the design to the Web OS platform on the tv, everything is simple and easy to get you going. Unboxing process has been improved since previous gens of the OLED range with a new eco friendly packaging being added, removing was once again really easy and mounting the TV took minutes. Set up can be done on the TV itself or with a smart phone using the LG app - again took minutes to get up and running and content was on within 5 minutes. Out of the box settings are pretty accurate but always can be adjusted to suit the user, which I have done for different sources. Gaming is again fantastic and all next gen consoles working flawlessly in UHD, with Dolby Vision and buttery smooth input lag thanks to the in built game mode coming to the party! Software update was run on the tv to ensure everything was up to date from out the box, again simple to do and very user friendly. Overall, a very happy purchase from me, big thumbs up from me and my partner - we had our first movie night Friday night and was blown away - the picture in dolby vision was incredible and blows our local cinema out the window. We'll be looking forward to more movie nights and the upcoming football season starting, along with the rest of the sporting calendar. Anyone on the fence about making the switch to OLED, don't even hesitate, get involved and get ordering - you won't look back!

detailedReviews 16: content: Technically I would probably give this TV 4.5 stars if it were possible. The built-in OS is very sluggish and takes a long time to bring up every screen/app. The pointer mode on the remote is a good idea but way too sensitive to use easily.
Everything else about this TV I love. The picture is fantastic, with true blacks, vivid color (especially in HDR mode) and sharp detail. The apps arguably make my Apple TV unnecessary. There are a ton of features to the LG TV and I'm still learning about them.
One important note: make sure to turn off the interpolated motion feature as soon as you buy the TV. You don't need interpolation because the TV is 120 Hz, yet that accursed soap opera mode is on by default, making every 30fps TV show and 24fps movie look weirdly smooth – but only when the motion can actually be interpolated; if something onscreen moves quickly, it goes back to being choppy, which makes it more distracting than simply watching the whole show that way. The feature is currently found under Settings Picture Advanced Settings Clarity, where it's called TruMotion (it's at the bottom of the menu and you will probably have to scroll down to see it). You may also want to turn off the AI options under General AI Service which alter the picture to make sure you're seeing what the filmmaker intended.

detailedReviews 17: content: After a regrettable 2022 purchase of an economical, but well arrayed and reviewed 4K TV, I decided to bite the bullet and sacrifice size for quality. I did deep dive research for days and chose the LG OLED42C4. Thoughts: 1) I found the Settings fiddly, but it’s a process. It took several days, a number of Google, YouTube, and forum searches, and a couple of chats with LG Support to get it set to my liking. The onscreen descriptions for each setting were helpful. 2) TV manufacturers and Streaming services put their own agendas ahead of what users want in Home Screens, so we live with the presentation of what they want to market to us. I was able to clean this one up to a tolerable level. It’s universal, not likely to change, end of story. 3) LG replaced the screen saver with a screen “Move” option I’m not sure I trust, yet. Maybe I’ve read too much about burn-in. 4) The LG OLED picture quality makes my 2022 TV purchase even sadder. 5) After two weeks to settle in, I know I bought the right TV and I’m happy with my purchase. NOTE: I did briefly second guess my decision to not buy the 48” version. For most people, I’d recommend it. It’s a personal issue, though, as I always found the blank, black, rectangle of my former 50” (appropriately sized,) TV intimidating. I’m not a gamer or sports fan and the 42” feels “friendlier” and suits me better. There may not be a lot of us, but I believe there’s still a market for higher quality TVs that down own the room with their size.

detailedReviews 18: content: It is easy to agonize over all the reviews and user experiences you read online, but, in short, if you are considering this TV, go for it. I have owned a 55" LG B6 OLED since it was new, and purchased this 77" C4 to replace it. Mainly because I wanted the larger size, but also because some of the older sets were prone to burn in, and that happened to mine. I use external surround sound for mine, so I can't comment on the sound quality, but aside from that this is a nice upgrade in every way from my old B series. It is brighter, more responsive, has more apps available, and is generally a nice evolution from when these OLED sets first came out.
If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the remote is missing a dedicated play/pause button, so you have to use the scroll wheel for that function instead. You may read about being playing the "panel lottery" looking for a set with no dead pixels and a uniform image when new. My new C4 arrived with no dead pixels and the panel uniformity was pretty much perfect right out of the box. I spend a fair amount of time calibrating my old B6 when I got it, so far I have barely touched the settings on the new TV. The picture is already better than my calibrated B6 was, so I haven't been motivated to mess with it yet.

title: Nice upgrade, better than older OLED
detailedReviews 19: content: This 48" LG is replacing a 5-year-old 50" Samsung 4k LED that stopped working without my permission. I have another 2020 LG 65" C series OLED and I can tell a huge difference between that and the new 48"! Screen size or tech updates, I'm not sure.
I deducted one star due to the fact that LG's setup process with a smartphone is WAY overly complex. I absolutely dislike that magic remote cursor flying around and wanted to add it to my smartphone app remote control. Expect to spend hours fighting your app if you already have the app set up with other LG products.
I got this TV for the quality and reputation of this TV, not the app or remote. In my opinion, this TV is 5-star plus across the board. I can say I'll never own another Samsung, 5 years until dead is unacceptable at any price point. TV manufacturers need to build quality products and should make us desire their products. With my experience on LG's 65 OLED we own, it was a no-brainer to select another LG product. Quality = Desire = repeat customer! Get that in your head TV manufacturers!
This 48" Picture quality, color, brightness, and blacks are all super great out-of-the-box! Fast motion is not an issue either. With the AI settings set to adjust on the fly with whatever content it gets, everything stays looking great.
Upgrading from the Samsung 4k LED to this LG 48" OLED is also a drastic improvement. I could not watch any flashing lights (police car lights in a night scene) or super fast-paced scenes. Those became too much for that TV to handle, to the point you could not understand what was going on. There were drastic changes between content too. Switching between HDR content to lower-resolution YouTube stuff was very noticeable. With this 48" LG OLED, all of those issues are gone!
I recommend LG TVs because I had an old LG 3D 1080P from 2010 something and that TV ran forever. I sold it to a friend and now they've been running it forever. It's still functioning great. That TV is pushing 15 years of service!
I am hopeful that the old saying still applies here, LG, "You get what you pay for."

detailedReviews 20: content: I was attracted to this tv because it is larger than those I currently own, more vivid than most and sometimes seems 3D. I'm truly disappointed in the overall performance, picture and inability to download the Spectrum TV app.
It appears LG doesn't have an agreement with Spectrum or whatever it takes to have access to this app ON THEIR TVS. I'm able to stream the Spectrum TV App on my Samsung TVs. I hate using a Roku device to stream the app on this tv. I refuse to pay Spectrum for their devices each month. I pay them enough as it is. I'd rather not use an external device at all. I wouldn't have need of an external device if LG allowed access to the Spectrum TV app.
A Wish I had returned the it.
The 4K HDR format on the Roku and HDMI setting on the tv have been set to 4K and above in search of a clearer and sharper picture without fuzziness, but to no avail.
Most importantly, there are pixels issues. I'm tired of seeing blurrs and dots especially when watching sports. The players have fuzzy blurrs around them when in action. Close up shots are a little better in appearance. This occurs despite the many attempts to resolve this issue using the dejug, deblurr and motion settings. Pixel issues can also be seen in other broadcasts.
For 3 months I have tried every settings combination possible to get the quality picture I expect. I continue to see fuzziness, blurring and sometimes washed out faces depending on the picture setting. Very, very disapointed.

title: Disappointed with picture, pixel issues
detailedReviews 21: content: Overall we were very positively surprised by the C4. It was much brighter than we expected, well designed and modern looking.
The areas that can be improved are mainly the operating system and the cluttered design, the remote which doesn’t feel as premium as you’d expect from a £3k TV and the AI picture + sound capabilities which are a hit or a miss. Once you use a C4 OLED, you won’t be going back so - be prepared!
Our review is based on mixed content for young children, terrestrial TV and on-demand apps featuring higher quality content on both picture and sound. The previous TV we had was an edge-lit mid-tier TV from ~4 years ago. The TV is located in a south-facing room which gets a lot of direct sunlight from a large window, viewing it from circa 3 metres away.
Good:
The brightness is AMAZING
Ultra slim design and narrow bezel (part of the family likes that)
OS is fast and fluid
Quite a lot of free content on LG Channels
Remote’s gesture control is a blessing for complex inputs
Sound is surprisingly good
Bad:
OS is a step back compared with webOS of a few years ago
77” feels unstable on the provided stand and prone to wobble
Ugly:
SDR quality - you’ll find the ways to watch HD content
Remote should be more premium
Power cord is fixed and could be a challenge for some
Note: picture settings were mainly taken from https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/c4-oled/settings. We did use the AI picture wizard yet felt like it made for less a realistic picture on the Freeview TV channels.
Picture Quality - SDR (terrestrial)
A pass mark, though at 3 metres away, you do notice the sub-par quality of broadcasted content. TV can improve some bits of it yet you’d be much better off (trying) finding HD channels.
Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder et al can’t be improved sufficiently even using AI. Jokes aside, lower quality content is watchable, though once you get used to higher-quality versions, it’s quite difficult to adjust.
Picture Quality - HD Channels
Much better experience than the SD broadcast, more or less as expected. Tested on the main UK channels. There doesn’t seem to be much or any upscaling involved.
Picture Quality - HDR Content
BBC’s Planet Earth III looks absolutely INCREDIBLE on the TV and the sound is excellent too. The level of detail, brightness and realisticness are (for us) unparalleled. The picture doesn’t look fake or “overdone” by any length and you can just stare at it for ages, and so can your kids.
Same goes for any HQ YouTube content.
Sound quality
As described in previous sections the sound is good for such a slim body,
YouTube videos with Dolby Atmos or anything with a well-recorded soundtrack sound excellent and surprised us massively. We did find the AI Sound capability to be a hit-or-a-miss, as at times it did well, while in other cases it made the sound feel fake and enhanced the wrong bits for example the speech during ads on YouTube. On TV channels it does vary quite a lot.
Overall we believe most customers won’t need a soundbar or “bigger” setup given the capabilities. We were already on the market shopping for a soundbar to pair up before the TV was delivered, lucky we waited that one out! :-)
Operating System - Overall
The built-in browser is surprisingly good, blocking ads and popups and rendering a few sites we regularly use very well.
Operating System - UK App Selection
Very good. Remains to be seen if Freely will be available, all top UK TV apps are available, including: BBC, itvX, NOW, My5 along with the expected international ones, including: Disney+, AppleTV, Rakuten, YouTube, Netflix et al.
Remote
Overall it does the job, able to control the TV and most functionality on our FireTV 4k Stick. It has six shortcut buttons that sadly aren’t programmable so you’re set with Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Rakuten, LG Channels (LG’s IP TV offering) and Alexa.
We do love the motion/gesture capability (Magic Remote in LG lingo), especially for passwords or fields that you can’t use voice input for. Having a cursor makes for such an easy and enhanced experience.
Others
AirPlay is a great feature to share content, pictures and video or screen, from your Apple devices seamlessly to the TV. We didn’t stream actual programming, rather just looking at photos and videos on a (much) bigger screen.
Screen mirroring from macOS was also seamless and while not useful for us personally, worked smoothly and easily.
We know there are concerns about burn-ins, the TV does come with features to avoid them (screensaver, moving the images by a few pixels on idle etc.) so while it’s brand new, we personally aren’t concerned about this.
Gaming
We did not test the gaming performance or capabilities.

detailedReviews 22: content: Overall this is a great TV with amazing image quality but the price is insane for including a remote this bad. The pointer function is all over the place and needs me constantly shaking the remote for it to adjust, the remote also mostly only works with infrared unlike the remote my B9 came with WHICH IS ALSO MORE PREMIUM FEELING than the included one. Speakers are poor aswell. Like, really poor. You WILL need a proper sound bar to enjoy this TV, even for just tv.
The big reason why I'm giving this one a one star instead of the three stars I would have given it otherwise: The premium remote PM23GN apparently is locked and not fully compatible with this. Pointer and scroll wheel don't work which is ridiculous for the price and it doesn't say that it's incompatible to this on the website. They just don't make a premium remote for this model which is just absolutely sad. Even sadder is that they don't even make the PM23GN compatible to the tv. I mean, it does work with my 55B97LA, pointer and everything just work. I'm honestly disappointed because all other LG products I've had in the past were just so much better feature wise than this TV is now. It's just sad.

detailedReviews 23: content: I'm very happy with this TV, not only is it bigger (55" to 65") but the picture quality is definitely better than my SK9000 and depth of the black colors/scenes are amazing. This TV is very easy to use and the magic remote makes things 10x easier with streaming service buttons on it.
Pros:
Stunning and accurate OLED picture with deep blacks and vibrant color.
Enhanced brightness over previous models thanks to Brightness Booster.
Excellent gaming support: HDMI 2.1, 144 Hz, VRR/G‑Sync/FreeSync.
fast and user-friendly webOS 24 smart platform with voice assistant support.
Lightweight, ultra-thin build and minimalist design.
Strong value—still ranked as best TV buy in mid-2025.
Cons:
Peak brightness, while better than before, remains lower than flagship Mini‑LED sets (e.g. Samsung S95D, LG G4).
Slight green tint visible from side angles or in mostly white scenes.
Risk of OLED burn-in with long-term static content exposure (e.g. news tickers/gaming HUDs).
Built-in sound is average—best used with external audio setup.
Does not include ATSC 3.0 tuner or HDR10+ support.

title: Stunning OLED picture, great gaming support
detailedReviews 24: content: The LG C4 series of 4K OLED TV's is an incredible experience. The near infinite contrast ratio of OLED coupled with fantastic brightness levels make this TV a very enjoyable experience in any room. This TV does not leave me wanting for more brightness – at all. Even in a bright room the antireflective coating (which somehow still looks glossy and doesn’t seem to affect sharpness like most others) coupled with some impressive brightness numbers makes for a truly sublime viewing experience.
I am using the 65 inch version as a bedroom TV where it replaces a conventional LED-LCD TV (also an LG). As an avid enjoyer of sci-fi series such as The Expanse, the backlight bleed and rather bright black levels of the old LCD even with region dimming made for a noticeable and dismal experience with longer dark scenes. This C4 OLED may not have the retina melting brightness of a miniled but due to the unbelievable contrast ratio maximum brightness is still much too bright for a dark room. I have settled on 65 for brightness for night time use - bright scenes are still very bright, HDR transitions for bright scenes are still significant enough to make you momentarily squint but not so much that they detract from the viewing experience.
This LG C4 OLED model has some impressive AI driven features intended to improve content on the fly, and from what I have tested they do very well at what they are intended for. Motion is silky smooth and almost feels like native 50/60fps content even when critiques attentively. Whilst all this tech is extremely impressive especially compared to how clunky it has been implemented on TVs of yesteryear, I have a preference for zero or minimal manipulation of the source content by the viewing device. For SDR content isf-darkroom has been my go-to choice, for HDR filmmaker mode appears most true to source.
The picture, brightness, viewing angles, colour, etc are exquisite and leave little to want. However there are a few minor issues. The magic remote does take some getting used to and even after that it is only adequate. It does not feel as premium as a TV of this calibre deserves. All in all I am more satisfied with this TV than any previous TV I have purchased, it really does deliver what it promises and more.

detailedReviews 25: content: I splurged on this TV today after being disappointed by a different TV model Im returning. I'm very pleased with the picture, and especially with the excellent color, contrast, and black levels when viewing from a 45 degree angle. I'm very disappointed however in the audio - it has no analog audio output, so I can't connect it to my analog hi-fi system. I bought a digital audio cable and a DAC to overcome that, but realized that wont work: with digital audio out, the remote cant control the volume! So I've had hi-fi audio with my TVs for 40 years, but now I have to listen on the TV speakers whoch are fair at best, or buy an LG sound bar which would be somewhat better, but costs a lot and still is not as good as my old hi-fi system. Im goong to keep the TV for the picture but the loss of high quality audio really sticks in my craw. The TV obviously includes a DAC for the internal speakers. LG just failed to provide an output jack, and it would cost them pennies to include one. I can only conclude they sabotaged the product design to force customers to buy an LG soundbar which is downright rotten of them.

detailedReviews 26: content: This is a OLED with 4k pixel density, would I rather have 6k? Yes, but that doesn't exist and this monitor at 4k is still the best viewing experience in the business for the price (I lucked out and got mine for under $800).
I use this with MacBook Pro M4 Max, the display auto wakes and sleeps directly plugged into the MacBook's HDMI port it also runs at 120hrtz. Will it burn-in? Probably eventually, but life's too short to not enjoy such a rich monitor experience right now.
I highly recommend pairing this monitor with "BetterDisplay" software for MacOS it's free download online it will allow you configure the scaling of the resolution and override the brightness limiter that's built into LG software.
I also recommend "Huanuo Heavy Duty Monitor Arm" + "VIVO Steel VESA LCD LED TV Mount Adapter Plate Bracket" or... you can just use the monitor legs it comes with, but using the monitor arm will allow you can push it further back on your desk increasing the visible PPI density.
I rarely leave reviews, but I had to for this 42" oled monitor treat yourself if you're sitting at your desk 8+ hours a day your eyes will thank you!

title: Best viewing experience for the price
detailedReviews 27: content: The picture is great and is top rated by CR. The reasons my rating is not 5 stars are: 1) Be aware that if you plan to use the “smart” part of the TV that it uses webOS (different from most other brands) and some apps are not available. Check to see if the apps you want are available. Not a problem if you plan to use your own streaming device.
2) If you plan on using the stand that comes with it, don’t if you plan on using a soundbar. Get another stand that attaches to the back like a wall mount with an adjustable height. The original stand (once assembled) seems solid, but it’s shaped liked a triangle with a wide base preventing you from putting a soundbar close. You may not have enough room in front for it. My soundbar sits 6” in front of the TV. Also, the stand is not high enough and you’ll probably block the remote sensor with a soundbar.
3) Putting the stand together is another LG fail. There are 2 pieces that need to be attached and the attached to the TV. There are 2 sets of screws provided because LG in their infinite wisdom decides to use 2 different size screws. The two sets are marked as A and B on the pictograph instructions. But on the packages there is no A or B, only a barcode with a lot of numbers and letters. Tried one set but the screw seemed too big. Tried the 2nd set and they were definitely too small. So back to the 1st set but using a hand screwdriver did not work for me. I ended up using a cordless drill with a screwdriver bit.
4) The location of the HDMI ports: another design fail. 3 of the 4 ports are along the side. Yes, they are easy to get to but then then the cords stick out the side. I’m going to get some adapters that are a right angle so the cords won’t show.

detailedReviews 28: content: Biggest OLED I have purchased so far and best price for small home theater. Picture quality does not degrade from moving off center of picture like LED/LCD. PC Gaming at 120hz/fps is incredible as colors really pop on this without using Game Optimizer with 144hz support. Some prefer it, I don't. I like the bright colors in my personal settings when gaming at 120hz/fps. In Nvidia Control change the resolution at the bottom to PC-3840x2160. Set color to YCbCr444, 10 bit. Games never looked so good. Movies have better HDR using Dolby Vision, unlike competitors that don't use it. That is a big upside with Dolby Vision support on LG. Make sure you have 4K content to play back on i.e., 4K Ultra Blu-ray, Apple 4K and the like. Sound: If you are buying this TV, you should already have an AV receiver or decent sound bar. Mine is hooked to a Marantz Cinema 50 with Amp for Martin Logan F1 LCR, Motion 2 side and back surrounds with Atmos speakers on top of F1's. I do not regret getting one of the 98"+ TV's after seeing off angle viewing. (Tons of research and actually viewing of said competition.) There really is nothing better than OLED PQ wise in my humble opinion.

detailedReviews 29: content: Having owned one of LGs OLED TVs before I had an expectation that this new LG C4 OLED would be of a high quality but the step up and development over the last few years has been larger than I expected. This is really a top TV built to last a long time with a range of smart features built in.
The set up of the TV is straight forward, minimal steps are required if you are using the stand, and the TV itself has a really user- friendly set up process, this guides you through user creation, picture, sound, network and streaming services. Within around 15 minutes I had set up my internet connection, signed into a host of streaming services and set up a picture profile. The TV looks very impressive, with small bezels around the edges and it does feel very much like a giant photo frame. The only slight negative is the stand, for such a large set I think a wider stand would look better, this is still fine and more personal preference.
The controller is the same as many other LG’s, it is effective and simple to use with quick buttons for streaming sites such as Netflix, Prime video, Disney+ and more. If there was one downside I would say the back has a really shiny plastic and from past experience I know this scratches super easy. Not a major issue but considering the price and quality of the TV, the controller doesn’t quite match that standard.
The picture quality of the TV is the real stand out. OLED TV’s always have amazingly deep black tones, and this is exactly the same with brilliant contrast. However, where this improves on previously OLED’s is the brightness, it is considerably brighter than my previous LG OLED. Allowing for better viewing, deeper contrasts and improved range of colour.
Another area of improvement is the sound, this is by no means better than a sound bar or dedicated setup, however it has far greater range than previous LG TV’s and also to me seems to get much louder.
The TV has a raft of built in features such as Chromecast, which is great as my partner uses a fitness app and can now cast directly to the TV without needing a dongle. LG’s webOS operating system has developed over time and again is very simple to use, with a row of your apps which can be customised to your needs.
Overall, I am very pleased with this TV, Watching films and TV has never looked so good, with improved sound and all the feature proof features you will need for many years to come. I would highly recommend .

detailedReviews 30: content: Avoid LG OLEDs, go with SAMSUNG S90 series instead. Purchased LG CX 65 OLED in Oct 2020, it was an amazing TV and looked great; It had all the features needed for future proofing.
My panel died after four years with about 700 hours on the TV or less.
Unfortunately, it went out just outside extended warranty.
Had a professional television repair service evaluate the TV and it was a defective panel; they had said that LG knew that they had sold defective panels with the OLED television and to bring it to their attention accordingly.
I explained the situation to LG, They elevated it all the way up to Their Highest tier of customer service.
Their response was the most They will do is offer me 15% off an Appliance And would not help me.
I have been a LG customer for 17 years, But I will not purchase another TV from here on.
I’ve owned a 60 inch plasma, 32 inch LGLED, 77 inch C2 OLED, and the 65 CX OLED .

detailedReviews 31: content: I love the 65" lg OLED C4 TV. It has an awesome picture and you can set the sound to just about anything you like. I also purchased an LG S95TR sound system because according to LG, they were made for each other. You would think since they are made for each other that hooking up and pairing would be a no brainer, especially since there are only "very basic" at best instructions on how to do this. They are basically cartoon pictures of assembly and set up, and even this became confusing. I paid a lot of money for the tv and sound system, and I feel that LG should have done more to provide the customer with clear instructions that they will need to get the system up and running at its best, BUT THEY DONT! I am still struggling to tune everything in and get the sound that they say you'll get by purchasing these together. The tv wasn't terrible to figure out, and is why I would recommend it, because it does have a beautiful picture. I'm certain the sound system is just as great, but LG has fallen WAY SHORT in regards to customer support and help, by not providing detailed instructions on their products.

detailedReviews 32: content: Pleased over all with my tv but finding it a challenge to negotiate my way through all the settings and their associated functions. Wired connectivity is particularly impressive with 4 hdmi ports, 2 usb ports, antenna and satellite inputs and wireless connections to wifi, bluetooth, airplay and chromecast leave very little more to wish for. WebOs is a joy to use and the smart remote can control the tv and many of the functions of connected ancillary equipment. Something I have found challenging, when researching this and other LG tv's, is nailing down exactly what television receivers are built-in. A digital terrestrial Freeview HD receiver, which can be tuned to receive programmes through an antenna in countries other than the UK, is there and also a satellite receiver which finds an impressive number of free-to-air programmes via a satellite dish and can also receive Freesat, provided the tv's location is set to UK. My only negative experience was losing the HDMI e-arc connection to my home theatre system, which suddenly disappeared for no apparent reason after running the tv with all four HDMI ports in use. After a day of fiddling with settings, changing HDMI leads and finally doing a factory reset, I discovered that a Meta Portal tv unit, connected to HDMI 4 was the culprit and that the problem was solved (for now at least) by connecting it to HDMI 3. Having had the tv for a few weeks now, I'm happy with its performance and, provided you are tech savvy and patient, you'll enjoy all it has to offer.

detailedReviews 33: content: Got this TV to embrace the OLED picture revolution , stop the need for a Roku, and for better compatibility with my sonos surround.
The picture is phenomenal for gaming and the demo videos are incredible.
Set up was really easy, including the surround sound.
There are downsides though. The picture is so bright it feels eye straining. The OLED difference is a lot less impactful for TV and movies. The reflections aren't noticeable in 80% of content but can be distracting in dark scenes during the day (also in menus). Wi-Fi connectivity feels weaker than my old Roku. Ads are more aggressive than my old Roku. Surround sound increases the gulf between speech and explosions, so if you set the dialogue where you can hear it the explosions are deafening.
Great modern TV if you're set on upgrading but if you're happy with your existing setup don't force an upgrade, lots of hidden friction.

detailedReviews 34: content: I had not bought a tv since 2007, so I may have been behind the times when it came time to get a smart tv. I chose this tv because the picture looked good in the store and in fact looked just as good when I got it home. The “problem” I have is this tv is waaaay more than I need or could hope to need. It can communicate with a bunch of other LG appliances. I have none. The features and function are so varied and technical that I find it confusing at best and intimidating at worst. Even the”magic” remote requires some effort.
There are so many drop down menus and so many options and instructions within that I found it necessary to write things down so I could refer to them as I tried utilize a feature. If you are looking for a smart tv and you are tech savy then this tv is for you. If you don’t enjoy having a tv that is smarter than you then I suggest you get a less expensive, less feature rich tv. They are readily available and the picture quality is just as good. And one last thing which ever way you go I highly recommend you spend some time at the store and have a salesperson walk you through the features. It will be worth your time.

detailedReviews 35: content: AWESOME! Never going back to a Computer Monitor again! I bought two 48" models on sale at bestbuy, wall mounted 2 side by side to use as my Main PC Monitors, picture quality is absolutely gorgeous! BEAT my $1200 Alienware 32" OLED 240hz gaming monitor hands down!
Sold Alienware 32" and used money to buy 2 OF THESE on sale at bestbuy last year! (120hz refresh is good enough)
Now these TV's have become everything to me, Computer monitor, Gaming Monitor, streaming, TV, Antenna TV, all in one.
Picture quality is better than anything I have ever owned in the past 30+ years, and I was able to lower my desktop scaling to a lower level providing even MORE desktop Real estate.
After a few months getting used to the huge size of a 48 "monitor only 2 to 3 feet away from my face, and now when I go over to my nephew's house, his 32" looks so puny and tiny with less desktop real estate and costs twice as much $$.
Obviously GAMES are absolutely breathtakingly BEAUTIFUL.
NEVER going back!
BEST TV/Computer Monitor ... BEST SCREEN I have ever seen or owned PERIOD.

detailedReviews 36: content: This model was marked down to make way for the new 2025 C5. I was also torn between a 55" and the 48" that I ultimately purchased. Not only was the C5 brighter, the 55" C4 (and larger) also had a "brightness booster" that was not included on the 42" and 48" models. I didn't know if I would have buyer's remorse. I also hadn't purchased a new TV in years, and the technology has changed a lot. After looking at a lot of different TVs, I bit the bullet and bought the 48" LG C4, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I was never able to view one this small in the store, but when I plugged it in, I was amazed at how good it looked. People tend to complain about the controller as well, which I found to be perfectly easy to use. I find the number of buttons annoying, as I have yet to use over half of them, but it is not the nightmare some would suggest. Anyway, watching 4K movies on this is mind-blowing. The clarity, contrast, color, etc, are beyond great. It feels like I am watching some old favorites for the first time.I would recommend this TV to anyone.

detailedReviews 37: content: I have been waiting to by an OLED flat screen tv for the last 3 years that would be cost effective along with good quality. The one I had been watching in particular was the Sony 48" Bravia OLED A90K. Once I purchased it, I realized that the picture was just to dark when viewing some indoor movies or tv show scenes, even after calibrating the brightness option... after bringing it back, the Best Buy salesman suggested I try out the LG 48" C4 OLED. I followed his advice took it home and all I can say is the rest is history! The picture on this baby is nothing short of amazing! The picture brightness is perfect out of the box! I will say that the sound quality is alright, in fact better than I expected, but I already have a 11 year Sony Sound Bar that really enhances the TV. This LG 48" Class C4 OLED TV was $700.00 cheaper than the Sony OLED that i returned, and that is with a Best Buy 5 years extended Geek Squad Warrenty included! If you are looking for a great picture along with a nice size screen for your bedroom, look no further. This baby is what the doctor ordered!

detailedReviews 38: content: This TV is probably the best TV of 2024 so far. With incredible features such as Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, " true black", HDR10, and many others, this TV is the way to go for anyone with a next-gen console.
The setup process for this TV was a breeze. The material used to wrap everything was simplistic but also felt premium at the same time.
It is also recommended to have at least two people working on the setup, as the TV is heavier than it looks and you would also want to avoid grabbing the TV by the screen.
Following the installation manual was not as straightforward as I would like, because the manual is the same one used for other TV sizes, so it can be a bit confusing, but because there aren't that many parts, it becomes quite obvious after a while.
After the installation is complete, setting the TV in on top of the TV unit (using the TV stand) was a breeze) . The stand is quite sturdy and the finishing is impressive, with a few places to group cables here and there, so it all looks quite organized.
Once that is all done, the real magic begins. Turning the TV on makes it go through a few steps in a setup wizard, which makes everything quite easy. The process can take a few minutes though, given there is a lot of features that can be configured, but it was definitely worth the time.
With the configuration out of the way, it was time to test it. And I can certainly say the image quality did not disappoint. There are a few things here and there that need to be adjusted to get the most out of it, such as disabling some energy-saving features (which come by default), but all in all, there are many ways to configure the TV, and when properly used it can generate the best image on the market. With extremely sharp and crip images, vivid colours and an amazing processor to back it all up and make navigating the menus a breeze. Speaking of menus, I must mention the impressive game dashboard, which is a menu built for gamers, that allows them to make the most out of the next-gen console features available in the market right now, giving us control and the possibility to change our gaming experience drastically.

detailedReviews 39: content: My samsung QN55QN95BAF died after 13 months, and Samsung customer support was brutal. I heard good things about LG TV longevity. I really love the picture quality of this TV. It is the sharpest image I have seen in a TV. it also has an AI tool that tunes the image to the way you want to see it...it will show you various scenes and you pick the best one. It will then tune it to your liking, which is really fun. The magic remote (think wireless mouse) is fun to play with. The picture is just fantastic!
So far the ONLY issue I've seen is compatibility with our Bose 600 Soundbar, which is 13 months old. The CEC / eARC functionality has known issues with LG tv, so we often turned on the TV with no sound until re unplugged/replugged the TV and sound bar. The stock cable with the Bose speaker isn't good enough, so purchased a Spigen High Speed HDMI 2.1 Certified cable. It appears to have fixed the issues with Bose speaker mostly...once in awhile it hiccups, and then I just turn on/off the Bose soundbar once or twice to reset the handshake. Bose also has different CEC settings in their app, so play with those too.

detailedReviews 40: content: The operating system that comes with this television has adds for LGs own streaming service, and very large ads at that. The largest tile on the home page is mostly sponsored adds for shows picked by LG like AX men and Deal of No Deal which is clearly a push for LG to push their own free streaming service. An array of programs LG have selected take up many other tiles like Sky news, American crime shows, Dog the Bounty Hunter, and Korean TV. None of which anyone in my household watches, picked or have any interest in. And it's right there on the home screen every time the TV is on. It's such a shame. Otherwise the hardware is pretty darn great. LG can you please update this? A suggestion would be to make is customisable? It's really a horrible operating system for really good hardware. It's such a downer i'd consider not purchasing this tv because it's really tacky and annoying. The previous operating system had a cool scroll feature, this updated one has lost that which is a shame.

detailedReviews 41: content: If you have never owned an OLED before...DO IT!!! The level of color depth, picture quality, and activity-specific options are outstanding. LG makes their TVs with gamer and videophile in mind. Auto Low Latency Mode for crisp response times. 120Hz Support for games like Call of Duty, Marvel Rivals & Apex Legends is CLUTCH.
This TV supports both HDR & Dolby Vision for watching and gaming. The display on the panel is beautiful, with really deep blacks and colors that bring everything to life.
I previously owned a C9, (2019 model) and loved every minute of it. If you already own a newer model like a C1 or C2, the leap won't be as dramatic (nigh unnoticable), but if you're in the market for an upgrade it's worth it.

We wait 4 hours and nothing from Best Buy and nothing from the delivery place. Somehow they use a company but no one has a phone number for them? Anyway we end up going to the store to have them reschedule it and the best they can do is next week after we spent $2000 here? Ended up calling a friend to help transport the TV and installed everything myself. The TV is phenomenal. Beautiful colors. Bright colors and very dark blacks. The tv is one of the best purchases I’ve made in awhile. I would 10/10 recommend this tv to anyone if you can afford it. It is worth the price. I also use it for gaming not just movies and it has high dynamic range, filmaker mode, voice commands, every streaming app under the sun. I mean the tv is stellar. Like i said really wish Best Buy kept their contractors accountable otherwise they are better off doing it themselves instead of hiring another company to lose your customers. Thanks for reading if you made it this far. I hope your delivery goes better or you have a way to take the the yourself. The customer service was good and Best Buy workers were fantastic. detailedReviews 43: content: 5 stars for the TV 0 stars for the Good Guys. The TV is brilliant. I was deliberating long and hard over the C4 vs the G4, but I have absolutely no regrets deciding to go with the C4. I have the benefit of a dedicated media room with no windows, so brightness is no issue. Frankly, this thing can sear the eyeballs, so it's more than good enough. Picture quality is amazing. Sure, the LG remote is awful, but I just use my Apple TV, so never touch it. Brilliant TV - can't go wrong. But my experience with Good Guys was the complete opposite. I made the mistake of ordering online. A day after I ordered, the price dropped and no attempt to contact the Good Guys (online chat, message or phone) was able to reach anyone. Messages are returned with a note to say I would be responded to within 48 hours and that I should not attempt any other form of communication in that time. I have never received a response to any of my messages. Delivery date slipped by a month. Attempting to contact anyone was impossible. Hour wait times on online chat no-one answered phone calls. I tried to call my local store, but as soon as they discovered my order was online, they referred me to a call centre that never answered. It could be that an in-store experience would be great, but Good Guys online should be shut down. It amazes me they're allowed to do business.Yes I would recommend this TV to a friend. No way would I recommend Good Guys.

detailedReviews 44: content: I love the 83 inch class LG OLED evo C4 4K Smart TV, OLED83C4AUA. The picture quality is incredibly sharp and crisp. I especially love the Filmmaker Mode with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, which really enhances the viewing experience. It feels as close to having an actual theater in my home as possible. Also the brightness booster technology really enhances how amazing the picture quality is and the enhancements of the pixels is evident from the first viewing. An added bonus is all the pre-loaded streaming apps and over 300 free channels. The TV is also relatively thin and light given how large the screen is, as it looks great mounted on the wall. The TV does come with a stand that seemed to be pretty high quality, but I didn’t end up needing it since I already have a wall mount. The TV for perfectly onto the mount and it really has been the perfect addition to my home theater setup. Review submitted as part of a program that provides a purchase discount.

detailedReviews 45: content: The TV itself (a LG OLED 65C4) was and is fantastic. Excellent clarity, the blacks are very deep and crisp as usual. The new OS is also outstanding once you get used to the new layout. The service from BestBuy could be smoother though. I purchased the extra "Haul Away" service and they came as scheduled, unboxed the new TV and took back the old one. They asked me to hold on to the empty box for the new TV for 30 days in case it needed to be returned. At the 30 day mark, I called to have someone come back to pick up the empty box as promised (it won't fit into my car), and was told they do not do this, After a few difficult rounds of discussion, they finally did agree to come back for the box. But I wasn't finished. I noticed that the "My
BestBuy" rewards points were not yet credited and asked when that would happen. I was told that because I selected financing, there would be no points. But I never selected financing, I never finance anything so had to call another department to straighten that out. As of this writing, that action is still pending. In summary, a great product but the after sales service could improve...alot..and needs to to keep my business in the future.

detailedReviews 46: content: Here’s a more personable version of your review:
Alright, let me start by saying—I’m not a tech person by any stretch of the imagination. So, if you’re like me and just need the basics, this review is for you!
We ended up buying this TV after our 3-year-old decided to test his pitching skills by launching a Hot Wheels car straight at our old TV. Needless to say, the screen didn’t survive, and it was completely unwatchable. So, off to Best Buy we went!
Let me just say, this TV is amazing. The picture quality is crystal clear, and the built-in sound system is a game changer. Watching TV at night feels so much easier on the eyes—I actually feel less tired and more relaxed afterward. And during the day? There’s way less glare, which is perfect since our TV is right next to a big window.
The biggest selling point for me, though, was the screen itself. It has more of a glass-like texture, which seems sturdier. So, if my little guy ever decides to test his aim again, I feel like this TV might stand a better chance. Fingers crossed!
How does that feel?

detailedReviews 47: content: I've had this tv now for about 3 weeks now and I'm loving it. It was very easy to set up, the picture looks great right out of the box, it has tons of features, and the remote works really well too.
I have the tv located in my main living room where it is well lit and this tv still performs well. No issues of it being to dim...the tv is bright enough to hang/place in bright rooms.
Before purchasing this tv, I did quite a bit of research. It came down to 3 tv's...Samsung's OLDED, Sony's OLED, and this one. The next step was to go to Best Buy to see them in person and compare them. When I got to the tv section in the store, an employee approached me and directed to me to the 3 tv's. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and was able to help me make the RIGHT choice! What's even better was that I was able to get this tv for 1600$!
Best Buy had my tv delivered to my doorstep for free and the gentlemen who brought my tv were professional and did a very nice job.
After hanging my tv on the wall, I looked up picture settings for this tv and found a great video on youtube that takes you step by step in setting up your video settings for SD, HDR, Dolby Vision and Gaming. These settings made my tv look even better!!!
If your looking for an amazing tv with an amazing picture, then I highly recommend you getting the LG C4....you will not be disappointed!!

detailedReviews 48: content: Extremely happy with the picture and size. Opted for the 77" even though numerous sites/calculators suggested i needed bigger for my viewing distance. Wrong. This is perfect size for the room. I dont want to be swiveling my head to watch tv. I lived with a 60" in the same room for 20 years.
Colors are fantastic. Brightness is perfect and I'm in a 2 story family room with a wall of windows (sunlight is not directly on the screen though, just ambient room light. The screen does have a little more screen reflection when off than the previous tv, but that was an lcd.
Wish the os has an annoying bug if you use an avr for the hdmi sound, instead of the tvs built in speakers. This setting gets randomly reset to the tv speakers for no obvious reason. Multiple forums have posted about this. They just released a sw update a day ago, so we'll see if this has been resolved. Even so, this doesn't affect you 99% of the time. And if it happens, it just a couple clicks to rest back. That issue aside, I really love this tv

detailedReviews 49: content: I cannot say anything good about buying an open box tv from Best buy. I bought an excellent condition open box tv from best buy online which is supposed to be like new. It did not give me the option of picking up the tv. Best buy would only ship it. I was a little worried about best buy shipping the TV. I waited about a week for the TV to show up. The TV came from UPS destroyed. When I say destroyed, I mean the 4 corners of the TV were crushed and folded in. The screen had tons of cracks all in it. At first I thought maybe UPS did this as the box looked pretty worn out. Than when I took everything out of the box I noticed that Best Buy put 0 packaging materials in the box. They just through everything loose in the box. The TV was just floating and bouncing around an empty box. The pedestal was just floating around the box as well. They put a medal pedestal in front of the screen loose. It was a complete joke. They had one foam pc on the bottom of the box. Nothing on the top, corners, back, and front. No bubble wrap either. The foam pc on the bottom did nothing to help because the bottom corners of the tv were all crushed and folded in. I never seen such a poorly packed item. As soon as I took out the TV and saw this nightmare I went straight to the store to return it. The only thing good was my local Best buy store returned it without an issue. I believe it was also missing the screws and owners manuals as well as I did not see them in there. I would of returned it for missing the screws as you can not put the pedestal together. Best buy needs to do a better job with open box tvs. This is the 2nd one I bought and both issues with missing parts. I ended up buying a new tv across the street because best buy would not match the price across the street from them. You think Best buy would of beat the price after this. It ended up being a complete waste of time basically.

detailedReviews 50: content: After spending all year looking for a TV, I have to say I'm disappointed in this year's crop. I decided to settle on the C4 because BB had an amazing deal last week. I'm not that happy with the PQ. It either looks like an overly blue Computer Monitor or if you calibrate the blue out then it looks like a a dark, muddy mess. As someone who has used an LG TV for 10 yrs, I know how to set an LG TV. I also don't like that LG made it so you can no longer change the Brightness level via a few "hacks." So this TV just feels really dim with a boring picture.
Positive of the TV are, even though I think it's a flat, boring picture. It is super clean, with great motion and no obvious flaws. I just wish it was more flexible. At one point it had a real hazy look, no matter what I do, but that issue seems to have correct itself.
If you like the LG Picture "Science" then there's no reason not to get this (beyond the ridiculous price), as everything just works on this TV. I encountered no bugs at all and like I said, there's no flaws to the picture other than I just don't like it. Motion works great.

They even through in all of the accessories that came in the original box and employees made sure I was satisfied with it before leaving. This is by far the best TV I have ever owned. The colors are gorgeous and gaming has been awesome! The 144hz variable refresh rate works flawlessly with an Nvidia GPU (RTX 4070 Super) and works on all 4 HDMI ports! This was purchased to replace a TCL that had issues with Nvidia. I would highly recommend checking for discounted floor models at Best Buy before ever buying a large purchase brand new. Customer service was also amazing which made it worth getting this deal in store rather than on some unknown website. Thank you Best Buy and much thanks to the employees at the store in Lake Charles, LA.

It is because of this reason than I choosed an OLED tv or an OLED monitor. I knew I wanted a 42" OLED TV and the 3 options I have was the LG C4, Samsung S90D, & Sony A90K. I do want an QD OLED, but I would have to go with a 55" Samsung for this and I really didn't want a 55" TV. I knew the Samsung S90D & LG C4 both 42" uses WOLED panel, but I heard the S90D was brighter. Both TVs was $999 at the time while the Sony A90k was $1199, but when I saw the LG C4 42" was on sale for $799. It was a no brainer for me to pull the trigger. The TV sit on my desk which is 30" deep and I sit about 3.5 feet away. The 42" was perfect for me. At that distance the game is very immersive. I thought the speaker on the TV was good. I'm no audio expert. I typically where headphones anyway. Behind the TV is my window and I was concern about the glossiness finished and how dim the game is when its on gamemode. detailedReviews 53: content: I've owned my fair share of tvs and this thing doesn't disappoint. It does alot of things right and it does them very well. Picture quality is the main focus for most people when purchasing a tv and I personally have never seen a better more clear picture. It makes any 4k content and even some 1440 and 1080 content seem as if your viewing it for the first time. The hdr and dolby vision really helps with certain content on upscaling and my personal favorite feature is the filmmaker mode. It takes a movie or TV show that's formated for it and let's you view it how the producer intended it to be viewed. It really ads that spice to any at home movie night or just daily viewing. Also they make it easy to tune your TV to your favorite picture settings with their ai picture viewer. Basically it shows you a bunch of images all similar and you pick two every time till it configures your picture settings to what you seem to prefer. Next I wanna talk about the gaming side of this. I'm an avid gamer who enjoys playing first person shooters. If you know anything about those you know you need low latency and high frames per second. This TV hits 120 frames easy and with freesync and g sync works well with console or pc. Just plug it into any 1 of the 4 hdmi 2.1 ports, pull up your game optimizer, and set your settings how you want and you will have a seamless tear free very responsive gaming monitor that plays in 4k and utilizes dolby gaming. I can't finish this off without 1 con and to be honest it's not that big of a deal to most people. With that said the audio on this TV is kind of lackluster but it's to be expected on stock TV speakers. If your not an audiophile or someone who likes a dedicated surround sound then you'll probably thoroughly enjoy the dolby atmos enabled internal speakers. If your like me then have no fear because they make the E-arc(hdmi 2) on this thing very fast and easy to use with any soundbar or receiver. Just plug it in and set it as your primary audio device and you can use it for any streaming audio or any other devices audio you have plugged into any of the 3 other hdmi ports. It does this without stutter or lag from what I've tested. There's a bunch more I could write on this TV but these are the points as to why I will keep this as my main viewing TV for years to come. Do yourself a favor and get this TV especially if you want a good picture and for anyone who walks into your house to stop and ask what kind of TV is that and compliment it

detailedReviews 54: content: I have been using this TV for over 3 weeks now, and I know this is great.
The ultra-thin matrix rests on an elegant, metal, and centrally placed base. An interesting stylistic element is the finish of the back of the TV - it resembles architectural concrete a bit.
The LG OLED EVO C4 can also be hung on the wall, and it seems even slimmer without the base.
The set includes a Magic remote control with a gyroscope, which allows you to control the TV using both a rich set of buttons (including for VOD services) and on the principle of a computer mouse, i.e. a virtual cursor controlled by the movement of the hand with the remote control. This is a very convenient solution that significantly speeds up the selection of functions or selection of films on streaming services.
The microphone built into the remote control allows you to operate the TV using voice commands. Just press a button and speak to the remote control. I have to admit that it works very efficiently.
LG OLED EVO C4 is fully compatible with all major HDR standards, i.e. Dolby Vision, and HDR10+. The TV is also equipped with intelligent adaptive modes - they adjust the brightness and color intensity to the conditions in the living room.
The audio system that LG OLED evo C4 is equipped with offers excellent sound quality. I was very impressed with its dynamics and reproduction of low tones. The TV creates fantastic surround sound - AI Sound Pro (sound improvement technology in LG TVs) provides sound breakdown into a virtual system. 9.1.2. It allows you to achieve both a better spatial effect and better optimize the sound for a specific scene.

title: Amazing picture, impressive smart features
detailedReviews 55: content: Unboxing: 4/5 Well packed although putting together the stand is a little confusing as the instructions don’t show an accurate image of the correct screw to use and bags they are in are not numbered.
Setup: 5/5 Easy menus and setup steps, cool “air” remote controller (magic remote) so you can just point at the screen to move the cursor (great for typing etc). A minor annoyance is the power cable is fixed to the TV. They should have used a standard figure 8 cable or something as when manoeuvring such a big tv in place the cable gets in the way and is a bit of a pain.
First Use: 5/5 I was worried about not having android TV but the built-in Apps are great, it has LG TV Channels with tons of Live TV channels (IPTV) and all the apps I use were there. Kids love the new content and the remote makes navigation easy.
Connection to existing equipment: 5/5 This is also easy, the issues I have were more to do with my existing equipment not the TV. I found my computer’s video card isn’t powerful enough to output 4k at a decent frame rate so I need an upgrade to make that work.
HD to UHD Upscale: 5/5 Amazing, my 1080p content looks perfect and I don’t see how it could look better if it was 4k content. Blacks are completely black and colours are bright and accurate. LOVE IT !
4K content: 4/5 Compared to HD I don’t notice a big difference when playing it from Apps (Prime etc) look amazing but much the same as HD upscaled. UHD Blu-ray content is a step up and looks amazing. I would like to be able to see at what quality the content is being played (e.g. with an icon or something when pressing the volume up-down).
I found its actually hard to get 4k content streamed to the TV. My computer video card, wifi and sometimes internet (100 plan but FTTN) can’t send it fast enough for the tv to play it smoothly (not a TV issue just something good to know).
Overall: 5/5 It’s an amazing TV, the clarity is outstanding, I have been waiting to see content without blacks that have a white brightness of them (like me old TV) and this doesn’t disappoint !! .I am impressed that I can put a 100GB UHD movie on a USB drive, connect it to the TV and the TV plays it. I need an expensive CPU and video card to do that on a computer so it's pretty impressive. When you watch real UHD content at a high bitrate the TV is amazing so clear and bright (I have read the G4 is brighter but I don’t know why you would need it brighter than this). The remote is premium (used to cost $200-300 for a remote like this when they came out) and can control a Fire TV without an extra remote which is an added bonus. It was not overly heavy (only 1 kg heavier than my existing 55in) so was easy to put on our existing glass tv unit. One thing to look out for is the glossiness of the screen, this LG is much shinier than my old TV so it reflects light from windows etc much more. Not too much of an issue for us as we can close the blind on the problem window but something to consider (maybe all TVs are this shiny now anyway).

detailedReviews 56: content: TLDR
Google "Rtings TV Accelerated Longevity and Burn-In Test" and see for yourself...
Don't expect your Tv to last any longer than 10,000 hours or 4 years if you use your TV on average 6 hours a day. . No OLED is immune, they will all face the same death.
So while LG OLED TVs are known for their excellent picture quality and deep blacks, they are also very susceptible to potential issues like burn-in and screen degradation, which you won't notice till its too late and the warranty is well and truly up...
Burn-in refers to permanent damage to the LG's OLED pixels caused by displaying static images or elements for extended periods of time. This can result in uneven wear on the pixels, leading to visible ghosting or image retention, where faint remnants of previous images are still visible on the screen. Burn-in will occur on if static images with high brightness or contrast are displayed for hours on end, such as the channel logos, video game HUDs, really any static on-screen elements.
One major issue with LG's OLED TVs is the "red sub-pixel burn-in."
Each pixel on an OLED TV consists of four sub-pixels: red (R), green (G), blue (B), and white (W) which work together to produce a wide range of colours. These sub-pixels emit light independently when activated. However, over time, the organic material in the OLED sub-pixels can degrade unevenly, and the red sub-pixel is particularly susceptible to this degradation. This will cause people skin to look washed out.
By nature just normal use of the TV will cause this wear and before you know it. The warranty has expired and you will be up for a new TV, don't make the same mistake and buy another brand that's not LG

detailedReviews 57: content: Have had in place for a few weeks now and have loved the TV from the start. Initial reviews had mentions of "clunky" WebOS, but I really don't have any complaints. The image quality is amazing, shows/movies are as crisp and clear as I've ever seen and gaming on it looks absolutely stunning. The 77" beast is definitely a lot of work to get mounted, was very helpful to have three people during the install. TV isn't heavy, just challenging with the size itself. Would definitely recommend buying this set and the incentives / rewards with BestBuy at the time made the price very manageable. I have it installed in a room that can have a lot of natural light and the new generation OLED has zero issue being bright enough to have no problems with it. I do have a full surround sound solution, so not using the built-in speakers, but initial testing with those seemed more than adequate if that was your only option.

detailedReviews 58: content: Still mourning the death of my 55 LG plasma TV, my interim led TV also croaked. It was time to take the plunge and get a real television experience. Delivery was prompt and arrived in good condition. Set up was easy. I especially like the center base. Other TV's with legs on both ends require a very long table to accommodate. I particularly like the ethernet connection allowing me to bypass wifi. While I will not use it regularly as a monitor it has sufficient hdmi ports for that. I do not really care for all the logging in that is required, but hey, that is the world we live in. Watching TV is now a visual delight. The vivid video setting was the perfect touch for a movie. Surprisingly the sound quality is excellent. I am hearing impaired and have gone through a half dozen sound bars. This tv I can understand. I suggest you get one of these gems right now before the tariffs hit.

detailedReviews 59: content: After reading reviews and watching a few YouTube videos of this LG C4 as a PC gaming monitor, boy am I impressed! I’ve had ultrawodes 1k, 2ks and this being my first 4k at 42 inches definitely puts immersion on another level! Gsync and 144hz is perfect for 4k and I can’t believe a TV has this! In all 10/10 use it for shooters and adventure games. Browsing the web and documents are easy to read and sharp not blurred which is what I was afraid of. Definitely super happy and sold my other 2 monitors. 42inches as a PC monitor is perfect as 34 or 38 feel big. A 48 inch could have worked as well but I felt it was too big. I would go bigger as it looks amazing for gaming and movies. Best Buy had a nice deal on it too, always buy TVs and big electronics here. Applied and used their financing as well, i appreciate the convinience and made my purchase a no brainer. Thanks BestBuy!

detailedReviews 60: content: I purchased the LG C4 OLED TV from Costco expecting top-tier quality, but was immediately let down. Right after setup, I noticed dead pixels on the screen — unacceptable for a premium TV.
To make matters worse, LG’s customer support was completely ineffective. They offered no real help or resolution, just delays and vague responses. Thankfully, I bought it from Costco, who handled the return smoothly — kudos to them for great customer service.
I won’t be buying another LG TV anytime soon. For the price, I expected much better quality control and support.
**And yes, I know leaving this review probably won’t change anything. LG will likely respond with the usual “We’re sorry to hear this, please contact our support line 1800…” — but based on my experience and the many similar reviews, it’s clear that nothing ever improves.

detailedReviews 61: content: This LG OLED replaces our 55” 2019 LG NanoCell, and what a difference! It works well in our bright living room. We now actually pick up MORE channels with our TV antenna, with far better reception than the old TV. Setup was easy, and did not have to reprogram our Bose remote to work with the new LG. While we do use an older Bose soundbar, the sound from this TV itself was definitely better than our old TV as well. We had Best Buy remove our old TV and install this one on our existing wall mount, as we are seniors and can’t do that type of lifting anymore. But I chose to do the cables and setup myself, and it was super easy, though the LG mobile app took several tries to get it to add the TV as a device. Can’t say enough good things about Best Buy’s installation service staff, they were quick and very professional. And this TV is by far the best one we’ve even owned.

detailedReviews 62: content: This was an upgrade from an LG B8 65". What a difference with the OLED advancements. Screen is so bright in HDR and Dolby Vision highlights, I had to lower the OLED level a bit. It's also brighter than my LG C9 55". No green tint at wide angles as one review site claims. Perfect contrast and color at all viewing angles. I use Standard mode for all content. Some 'experts' recommend Filmmaker Mode for HD content. That mode is too dark for me. It bypasses the TV's processor enhancements - it requires a dark room - not what I want from a new TV. They claim it provides a 'theater experience' - dark & grainy in my opinion. Scenes in the Standard Mode provides real life brightness and colors - outdoor scenes look like I stepped out my front door. I will not comment on the TV's sound quality. I recommend a 5.1 receiver/speaker system or a least a soundbar with a sub.

detailedReviews 63: content: This tv is amazing. I’ve had it for over a month now. Deciding between the c4 and the Samsung s90d, I was looking for a 55” tv for a balance of console gaming, sports, and movies. This one was not only cheaper, but I think it had a better picture overall. I have had to adjust some of the settings slightly mostly for gaming due to the blacks being very, very black, but is perfect paired with my ps5 pro taking full advantage of the VRR supported hdmi 2.1 ports. I have it in a fairly bright room and where my previous tv was hard to see at certain times of the day, that is not a problem with this one. The remote is not IR (it’s RF) so I had to make some adjustments in the settings for that as well to accommodate my older Sonos sound bar until I upgrade that to use the hdmi eARC provided. This tv is the solid choice if you’re on the fence like I was. My picture doesn’t do it justice.

detailedReviews 64: content: Product 5 stars. Ability to get the Allstate warranty 1 star. I purchased this TV on 4 April, 2025. I used their scan and go in the app. Today April 20, I thought about the promised Allstate 5 year warranty. I looked at the Allstate website and the Square Trade website. Created an account. I had no warrenty thru them. Keep in mind the 5 year warrenty is thru a third party and not the manufacturer. I worked very hard to resolve this issue about the warranty. 2 chats with Sam's club Representatives thru chat. Bad information and no help. Back to Allstate / Square Trade site. Chatted with Saba, the Representative. He worked very hard to resolve this. However, it has been discovered that Sam's Club never notified Allstate / Square Trade that I should have a 5 year warranty. I went back to the Sam's club store where I bought the TV. I discover that because I bought it on Scan and Go, the 5 year warranty was never issued and no communication to anyone about the 5 year warrenty occurred. The very nice and helpful lady at the service desk, helped me resolve this by way of return and repurchase. Lesson learned. I love Scan and Go. But if it is a major purchase with an additional warrenty, buy it online. There you will get the warrenty when you make your purchase, and instructions as to how to activate an additional Warrenty. This is a huge flaw when purchasing with Scan and Go. All told, I have spent almost 5 hours today to resolve this! Now, they have finally emailed me the information that I need, so I can register my TV with Allstate / Square Trade. This has been a huge hassle and I almost returned the TV. However, Sam's club is the only public retailer that offers this additional warrenty free of charge. Today, April 20, I will activate My 5 year warrenty thru Allstate / Square Trade. This was not a good experience.

detailedReviews 65: content: Unreal clarity. This is my first LG OLED and there will be no going back for me. A beautiful picture, slim and sturdy design, and some really nice features. You will want to get on YouTube and learn how to optimize your picture settings, and once you fine tune it, it will blow your mind. The sound is very solid from the tv speakers but with this kind of television you’ll probably want a sound system to really ratchet up your home theater experience. I use mine for watching 4ks and playing Xbox series X and the definition is crisp and the detail extraordinary. I cannot recommend this television enough, and for peace of mind spring for the Best Buy warranty if you can, it’s total peace of mind for your investment and goes up to 5 years. I know I’m gushing but I’ve had mine for a few months now and I’m just completely blown away by the quality.

detailedReviews 66: content: Absolutely outstanding TV coming from a 65" Samsung LED tv. Using the Rtings.com settings to adjust the colors to "real" settings makes movie watching exceptional. At first we thought it was too big, but that feeling only lasting about 2 days and now we are both super happy to have gotten the larger 83" over the 77" as we sit around 13' away from the tv.
Getting a flat wall mount that doesn't extend or have anything extra to it was a game changer as well as it sits very close to our wall.
It never makes sense to me to buy the latest and greatest tech since a new one is just 9 months away usually, so picking up this LG 83" OLED TV brand new for $3000 was totally worth it.
Have it hooked up to a nVidia Shield Pro and a Ugoos for the Dolby Vision, which absolutely changes home cinema.
No idea about the sound as we have a home theater system.
Wroth the price 100%

detailedReviews 67: content: Replaced my LG Oled from 2018 and really loved it. It replaced a Sharp Aquos of the same size. The new LG C4 is a good picture but it is no better than the prior LG. The Sharp is still working at my Beach House and the 2018 LG is dead. The new LG is just more complicated to navigate which is not a good thing. I was made with cheaper exterior materials, visually . Plastic on prior screen was painted and smooth on back and more rigid. New one is textured rough plastic, looks cheap. It was $1500 compared to what I paid in 2018 for the LG bout 3k as I remember. It's a good overall but did not feel like I upgraded at all. Feel like I slightly downgraded but with a better price. I would buy the same one again and throw it at the other house if the Sharp stops working. Just reporting the news ! I’ve always struggled to find a display that I’m content with. My eyes literally have a mind of their and won’t stop complaining. This television silenced those complaints almost instantly. I primarily watch movies and game on mine. You get the best picture quality and input latency with this television. Combined with the price it just simply can’t be beat. One small note though, gaming monitors do have a much better response time. I also owned a LG gaming monitor and the response time is unreal. It’s just absolutely not worth the inaccurate image. detailedReviews 69: content: How do you release to market an OLED TV without a screensaver??? Before you say anything, having a screensaver kick in after 30 mins while on the home screen does not count. A screensaver is useless if you can't walk away to answer the phone without worrying about bricking your expensive TV.
I was willing to accept the lack of screensaver, with the "screen off" function in the settings menu. It's an unnecessary inconvenience, but I was ok with it until I discovered it doesnt work in YouTube. What???
My first LG OLED had horrible burn in after 18 months of use. Now, with my C4 I get anxious every time I pause whatever content I'm watching. These TVs are too expensive to have that kind of risk.
I've been "burned" before. I don't want another bricked TV. Please bring back the screensaver for paused app content!!!

The lack of blooming is more impactful than expected. Appreciate the connectivity options on the TV (like 4xhdmi 2.1). My child has some special needs and the Web OS was presenting some challenges so we added a Google Streamer and that helped out (LG voice command has limited functionality). My biggest issue with the TV is the reflection. Sometimes it is almost like a mirror so avoid any direct light sources if possible. For awareness I think the VESA mount sits a bit lower than most TVs, so it may sit higher than expected on a pre existing wall mount. Lastly, the faux marble finish on the back is a nice touch.

The smart TV functions are cluttered and annoying, but they're easily avoided by just not connecting the TV to the internet and using something like a Fire Stick or Apple TV. The price may be a little prohibitive for alot of people but believe me, the extra is worth it. Movies look better on this TV than they do at my local Cineplex. My biggest problem is high-contrast scenes. Having a character standing in front of a bright window makes the character a solid black human-shaped blob. If I decrease contrast, I brighten the character, but I lose the pure blacks I paid for with an OLED.
I have tried many setting options and everything is a compromise. Any option that cuts down contrast, washes out the blacks overall. The whites are just too bright, and I can't find a way to level the contrast without causing an overall loss.
The image quality is beautiful 90% of the time so it's not worth the hassle to return this. But, I wouldn't buy it again. Definitely not understanding the hype.

detailedReviews 77: content: TV is great. Vibrant colors, fast processor and built-in Apple Airplay works great. Built-in speaker sounds decent if adding a soundbar is not an option. Love this tv.
I love the badges in the top corner showing when Dolby Vision, Atmos or HDR is active. Love it.
What I do not love is the annoying banners that show the variable refresh rate switch. The worst part of this tv is the stupid warning about disconnect of a device which I assume is my FireTV stick updating in the background. PLEASE RELEASE FIRMWARE TO ADD AN OPTION TO TURN THESE STUPID BANNERS OFF! I only use an AppleTV remote and don't want to use the bully LG Remote just to turn off the stupid banner or wait what seems like 5 minutes to go away.

detailedReviews 78: content: Overall, this is tv is what we expected. Mid-range price and very good imaging. I am a bit disappointed with the remote control though. The remote is small and not back lighted. The control buttons are small and very close together. As someone that does not have small hands and fingers this is a bit awkward. The small size and lack of lighted remote makes use of the control in dim or dark rooms aggravating as one has to look for reflected light or get a phone or other light source to see the correct button to push. Very inconvenient. As the buttons are small and smooth, doing this by brail often leads to incorrect selection. The remote control is the worst thing about this tv.

detailedReviews 79: content: This is the first display I've purchased since two Pioneer Kuro Elite's. It's certainly the first TV that has rivaled the picture quality (video processing and blacks) of the Kuro. I have the C4 installed in a west facing living room with large picture windows and I was very surprised at the brightness which is more than adequate in the daylight. I'll likely need to decrease the brightness for nighttime viewing. It handles reflections well with good off-axis picture quality. With some fast-moving images I still think the Kuro was slightly smoother, but the support for newer video standards and brightness more than makes up for it. Lots of dials to tweak so I may be able to improve that aspect. I'm happy with the purchase.

detailedReviews 80: content: I love it so much! My buddy kept recommending mini led because its close to oled. But their still something about oled that makes it far more superior than mini led. I love the inky blacks and the infinite contrast ratio. Everything runs so smooth on this tv i watch hbo max dolby vision movies and dolby atmos sound on this tv is awesome for tv speakers. My ps5 games come to life again. I love this tv i hope it doesnt burn in or have issues. The web is is good but it does lag sometimes which is why im considering buying a apple tv 4k since im in the apple eco system anyways. Anyways amazing tv and yes its expensive but its well worth the money. Once you go oled you never wanna go back to traditional va ta or ips panels. LG knows what they are doing. I recommend this tv to all my co workers and friends but unfortunately they broke and cant afford it. Oh well they missing out lol

detailedReviews 81: content: UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The unboxing experience was positive, it comes in an easily removed box/packaging and can be done by one person, although it would be easier with two. Once out the box, my first impression was Wow! The top 2 thirds of the screen are impossibly thin, and even on the lower third, where all the electronics and connections are, it doesn't get that much thicker. Most of the connections are on the left-hand edge, with the power cable coming out on the right.
PICTURE QUALITY
This was amazing! Being OLED, the blacks are inky black, but what amazed me was how bright it gets. I had heard OLEDs don't get very bright, but I was blown away. While watching a 4k Blu-ray of Star Trek, the ships details were bright and clear, while the surrounding space was ultra dark. After a bit of fiddling, I got the skin tone to be as accurate as looking at someone face-to-face. I had to turn off most of the AI and Auto functions, as they made everything too vivid and over-saturated for my eyes, but once setup, I was so happy. Motion is dealt with very too, with no blurring that I could see, so sports look great. I have heard the screen is really good for PC and console gaming, but I haven't tried that.
SOUND
This was probably the weakest aspect of the TV. For an LCD/OLED, it was actually impressive at first, but there's not much bass, although the sound is nicely balanced. No amount of fiddling would let it sound anywhere near the quality of my fairly low-end Sony soundbar though, so I won't be using the in-built speakers
SMART FEATURES
This was another aspect that really impressed me. The WebOS platform is quite mature now and the interface is quick and easy to use, with all the apps I need available. The remote, while fairly plasticky, is a joy to use, with the gyro 'mouse' making navigating to apps much quicker than just scrolling left and right. I have noticed no slow-down with the interface yet. In fact, I will probably be retiring my nVidia Shield and just using the TV from now on, which I was not expecting.
All-in-all, this is by far the best TV I have ever used, and I would recommenbd it to anyone.

detailedReviews 82: content: Incredible TV! I replaced my older 43inch LG LED Tv that I bought on Black Friday 7 years ago. The TV is still going strong but I just wanted to have an update and let me just say that the LG C4 65inch is absolutely incredible! I saw this at Costco and thought the picture was really good so I got it from LG’s website. Anyways, when I got this set up in my house I was blown away at the quality! Honestly, a storeroom display or demo unit does not do this TV justice with the large overhead lighting. In your house this thing will come to life! Blacks a pure black, whites are crisp and bright and the colors… I don’t even know where to begin with the colors! Feels like I been missing out for years and honestly TVs like this paired with a soundbar are in a class of their own and remove the reason to ever have to go to a movie theater. Highly recommend!!

detailedReviews 83: content: The LG 77 inch C4 has the specs to be a very good monitor, however LG has a long way to go before this screen lives up to it's potential. After just 2 months of very light use, the screen started showing heavy horizontal lines on the right most side of the screen, which slowly faded away as your focused moved to the left side of the screen. . . Given that the screen had been used less than a year, the Manufacturer's Warrant (LG) covered the failure rather than the 5 year protection I purchased from Best Buy. LG has failed to confirm a date for the screen malfunction to be repaired by a LG technician. LG appears to be reluctant to ask the Best Buy Geek Squad technician to do the repair. My warranty clearly states that they will either repair or REPLACE the malfunctioning screen and since they have demonstrated no competence in arranging for a repair, I will be pursuing the REPLACE option.

detailedReviews 84: content: I have been using the C4 OLED evo now for approximately a month and at the risk of sounding boring it is exactly what I expected it to be. Picture quality is second to none. Color clarity, contrast, and depth are incredible. And the overall experience is exactly what I've come to expect from LG products. The magic remote is a bit gimmicky at times with the feel of the old Wii remotes and I often find that the cursor pops up when I don't want it to but that is a minor complaint when compared to everything else this TV does so well. We have it paired with the a sound bar and when running the audio in WOW Cinema mode the audio clarity and depth are on par with my old surround sound system. You do lose a little bit of depth by not having the rear channel speakers on the sound bar we bought with the tv in the bundle but that can be fixed if you buy the newer model year unit at a slight price bump.

Having connected with the Geek Squad and Advisor at the Best Buy store, I think, I made the right decision to get this LG C4 between B4, C4 and G4. C4 model seemed to be best value with some of the features of OLED evo, brightness boost of G4, crisp picture quality, ease of setup and remote navigation. I am loving the overall crispness and brightness of the picture with available options to customize viewing TV/Shows, Movies, specially sports looks very realistic with excellent sound quality. Make sure you utilize all the functionality of this tv. The only gripe I have is there is a 144hrz mode sorta hidden if you turn on the game optimizer mode and scroll down the settings and turn it on..I found this though I bet others don't even know about it, kinda up to the consomer to find this out. Has the best picture, decent refresh rate + gaming technologies built in from Nvida & AMD for 600-1300$ pretty much a win. detailedReviews 87: content: I’m extremely frustrated with my recent experience. I received my TV last night, and today was supposed to be the installation day. However, when the installation team arrived and unboxed the TV with me, we discovered that it was broken.
I immediately contacted one of your agents, provided all the required photos, and explained the situation. Unfortunately, she transferred me to the wrong department, and I’ve been unable to reach anyone since—especially now that it’s past 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
This situation is incredibly disappointing. I’ve attached photos and videos for your reference. Please note that your installation partner was present during the unboxing and can validate the condition of the TV.
So the whole experience of waiting in excitement for the new TV to be present, has been ruined by this situation.

detailedReviews 88: content: Disappointed this new OLED Evo TV is not much brighter. Have another 55” C-series OLED sitting right below it after buying the extended warranty through Costco, not through LG directly - as they would have insured the screen burn-in and greenish spots during bright yellow/orange colors. I have gotten my Verizon Home Device Protection and Costco/Allstate on their toes (and have taken care of such issues) and I am about to get Liberty on their toes for this next possible issue. Bought this for a promotion when I ordered on last day (July 23), but the receipt shows July 24 (Monday) - so I hope they do not disqualify me (I will update and let you all know). They threatening to not price match now for a few weeks ago? The TV is great, but truly not that much better and not much ‘brighter’ than the one sitting on the ground below it. I also bought the S90T LG Soundbar and I hope the promotion does not give me another soundbar, but one of those (3) items in the promotion picture (i.e. StandbyME smart screen that rolls, or in a briefcase, or a bendable OLED TV desktop monitor). We got COVID for the first time for my whole family (3 different houses), and we are trying to stay in and stay healthy. I truly hope LG fulfills our promotion or as I mentioned to the order customer service agent that I will order another OLED and better soundbar since the sale is bigger a few weeks after my original purchase.

detailedReviews 89: content: Having come from a 55" LG OLED C8 from around five years ago, I knew what I was in for; perfect blacks, great brightness, Dolby Vision support.
What I wasn't expecting was such an improvement in the brightness, gaming features, and the enhanced support E-ARC provides in terms of audio codecs and quality.
Finally, Filmmaker Mode.
A massive thanks to LG for including this. Goodbye soap-opera effect and far too cold colour temperature, and hello as intended by the filmmakers.
Make no bones about it, OLED remains top-tier in terms of panel technology. Through incremental improvements, LG have again shown why they are the number one television manufacturer in OLED sets, and continue to improve the feature set of their webOS platform.
While I am a little disappointed that some of the niche streaming services still aren't available on webOS (looking at you, Shudder!), ultimately, that's the problem of the service provider. At least LG have catered for users with both Airplay and Chromecast built into the set.
Is it expensive? Yes. but the quality of the panel, software, and feature set of this TV mean it is a great quality set that stands out in the market for all the right reasons. The latest C series OLED from LG is a winner, and the best value for money proposition in their OLED lines.

I purchased the LG 3.1.3 Dolby Atmos soundbar with wireless subwoofer at the same time I purchased the television, because the onboard speakers are pretty much non existent due to how slim the entire unit is. But... I installed it myself and the packaging was an absolute horror show. Way too much styrofoam, so there were little plastic bits all over the place. And disposing of this stuff is a nightmare - 4 large trash bags going curbside. It is 2025 LG - you can do better and use less wasteful and toxic products in your packaging.
Nice TV, but wouldn't buy an LG product again unless they do better by the environment.

I know Sony isnt necessarly the top of the line since flat panel TVs came out, but im a loyal customer. I decided to upgrade my bedroom TV and this is my second LG TV that ive purchased. First off, this OLED is comparable to the Sony A series. Its bright, and crisp. The thing that is better, is the stock speakers. Since this is a bedroom TV, im not running a sound bar and these speakers are loud, and they pack a punch. I think this screen is brighter than my Sony A80 as well. Im enjoying watching anime, action movies and live sports on this screen. The picture is rich. When its time to upgrade the family room TV, i migjt go with the C series over Sony’s A series in the future.

detailedReviews 93: content: Happy with my 48" LG OLED C4 series TV, but it's not perfect. As others have mentioned there is in fact a slight green color shift when viewing from an angle. It's not terrible but it is a real thing if you're looking for it. Also, I am finding the various LG image pre set settings to be terrible. I have a good picture, but Normal with a few small tweaks in Advance mode got me there. The Film maker, Vivid, and Sports modes seem surprisingly bad to me, unlike other Samsungs I have owned. Hoping that software updates fix that. Aside from that, the build quality and sturdiness of the LG is superb. I am happy with my decision, but we needed to get used to each other as I tweaked some things. I am confident this TV will last and provide enjoyment.

detailedReviews 94: content: Picture is absolutely stunning on my 55" version. Compared with LG B4 OLED and no contest! Bought for my upstairs game room 5.1 surround and it elevates the home theater experience significantly. And even at well over $1000 it is a great value. Very happy with the C4's features and remote also. Using a 2.1 HDMI cable, eArc works well with my Denon 2800 although it took a long while to find the correct audio out choice in the C4's on-screen menu.
LG doesn't help much with provided assembly and quick-start set-up instructions. Spend some time watching videos on the above before even opening the box and buyer will be fine. Overall, the C4 deserves all 5 stars. :)

detailedReviews 96: content: Definitely the best TV I've ever had, with brilliant colour and contrast. Two words of caution to potential buyers though.
1. It's a devil to get out of the box and set up safely. When the delivery men dropped it off they took a photo of the screen to verify it had arrived in one piece. I had to set it up on my own and was terrified of breaking it - it was very tricky to remove from the box and set up without putting pressure on the screen at any point. Good to have careful help here.
2. As is quite common, the various motion smoothing and image enhancement settings were all turned on by default, and colour and contrast were far too high. My first viewing of a standard definition channel was so bad I nearly sent the TV back. Highly compressed, low resolution digital channel look pretty poor on any 55 inch TV and these settings are there with the intention of mitigating that but just like on any othe TV all they do is make it worse, and the settings on this TV, that some poor techies have no doubt laboured over to make a selling point out of, look so bad it's beyond belief. A war film I chanced on looked like a badly drawn cartoon seen though a bathroom window. Turn them all off and your standard def channels will look no worse than any other TV.
If you're watching anything in HD or 4K, though, this is great. Set the black level so it's as dark at it will go without losing any detail in the shadows, turn off the motion smoothing and so-called clarity settings, and this is just about as good as it gets. Remember to do this for all inputs because if you set it up for live TV those settings won't be carried over to your Netflix or blu-ray player, you have to set those up too, so it could take a while to get everything how you want it, but that's par for the course.
My only other minor quibble is that with some old DVDs it wont recognise that they should display in 4x3, and where some TVs have a remote that can fix this with one button, you have to hunt through the picture settings to correct this.
The on-screen cursor on the remote can be a bit skittish and alight on things you don't want to activate, but it's easily turned off and useful for typing in names when you're searching for something.
Finally, it's a very smart looking set. Overall, very happy indeed.

detailedReviews 98: content: This television is such an upgrade over the 32” LG it replaced. B&H Photo/Video did a great job and a good price. The first TV was damaged in shipping and It wasn’t evident until I tried to hook it up and turn it on. B&H was prompt to ship a replacement and accept the broken TV. The 4K picture is amazing, it’s like being at the movies in my living room. The one thing that it didn’t have is audio video RCA plugs to connect my ancient VCR/DVD player. Truthfully I haven’t used the DVD player in years since we stream video. The LG has WebOS and it seems that I could move the AppleTV box to the basement with the old TV, but I am familiar with AppleTV and the controller. Regardless, the TV was easy to assemble and I was thankful that my son was able to assist in placing it on the console. Connecting it was easy and everything worked correctly when it turned on. Next I need to consider a better surround sound system.

Upon turning the TV on, in HDR and Dolby vision mode, the tv would turn the whites into weird greens and yellows. Like bright highlighters. I called customer service, and struggled to get help with my issue, until finally an OLED Specialist called me who said it was a bad panel. He was very rude and seemed annoyed he had to submit a repair ticket for me. I was then told I would be called by a member of the Presidential Liaison team to ensure my issue is resolved. It has been close to 3 weeks and I have yet to speak to them. They have called me 3 times, and each time they disconnect the call, and then I get a text saying they will try me back in 4 DAYS! I call customer service and they are not able to transfer me to them. It's been 3 weeks and I still do not have a repair date for my television (which I don't even know will work). I also bought the warranty. I don't know how that will work. IV does now look good, the remote is unusueful and changed to a fire cube and remote. 77 inch oled tv

detailedReviews 105: content: My LG OLED C1 had a great picture, I loved it but,,,it only lasted 3 years & 4 months. Very disappointed. My 2 Panasonic are each over 10 years old and humming right along. At 2 1/2 years it developed 2 very narrow dead vertical lines. Then last week it began shutting off after being on for 15 to 20 seconds. This TV has never been moved from our living room.

detailedReviews 107: content: This is my second oled and I enjoyed my first one, b9. 55 inch. This one a replacement and is a c4 55 inch. My first one connected to my Xfinity box and had a smooth operation. My new one has a spotty connection with Xfinity and does not allow all functions. Picture is great, but lack of use of controller and lack of function of my cable system makes the system not recommendable and a disappointment. Have no use for AI. Have no use for many of the items added to the tv. Refresh rate is nice and clear. Could care less what the processor does. Resolution is better than my b9.

detailedReviews 108: content: Only 1 star because 0 is not an option. Horrible (still no) resolution of lost shipment. Very disappointing, considering how well the first transaction for a smaller version and a soundbar went and how happy we are with both.
2d order for the 83 inch seemed on same path with about a 4 day expected delivery date. Am now 21 days past the order date and LG has been saying that it's been delivered to their delivery agent and the delivery agent says they don't have it/can't find it. This has been going on for over 10 days.
I understand things happen, shipments get misplaced-hey, life happens, I get it. But...at some point, you say ok, let's make this right-lets expedite a new unit and apply maybe 10% discount, maybe add some extended warranty, or just refund my purchase, so I can do business with someone else. They don't suggest this, I do, and nope, they can't do either one, apparently.
Customer service sends me a link to send an email to the company president, which I do, today.
So, I am beyond done. If no response by this afternoon, I'm going with another brand, another vendor, and if they won't refund my purchase, they can hear from my lawyer.
Is sad and disappointing to me that I'm not posting a raving 5 star review of the product, and of the lost shipment resolution.

detailedReviews 111: content: I'm extremely frustrated with my recent experience. I received my TV last night, and today was supposed to be the installation day. However, when the installation team arrived and unboxed the TV with me, we discovered that it was broken.
I immediately contacted one of your agents, provided all the required photos, and explained the situation. Unfortunately, she transferred me to the wrong department, and I've been unable to reach anyone since—especially now that it's past 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
This situation is incredibly disappointing. I've attached photos and videos for your reference. Please note that your installation partner was present during the unboxing and can validate the condition of the TV.
So the whole experience of waiting in excitement for the new TV to be present, has been ruined by this situation.

detailedReviews 139: content: The LG OLED EVO C4 4K Smart TV 2024 is awesome! This was definitely the best decision I could have made. Sure, I would have liked the next size up, but the extra cost was not justifiable. I host regular Virtual Zoom Museum Tours from around the world for friends and family, so we usually fill the loungeroom! That means those sitting at the sides have to watch from a greater angle. This TV has an OLED screen, so there is no noticeable colour or picture distortion! We have had up to ten people in our 4.5m 5.5m loungeroom for a tour and everyone had a clear comfortable view of the screen!Sharing the ZOOM Tour to the TV from my Windows 11 laptop is a breeze. I simply press Ctrl K, and the LG TV appears on my laptop screen, ready to connect!I could never get our previous TV bright enough to clearly see all the museum displays. This LG TV has a huge range of settings for every different preset Picture Modes of display, such as "cinema," "cricket," "vivid," etc. When a movie is recognised, it even has an intelligent "FILMAKER MODE," that changes aspect ratio, colour, and frame rate as specified by the film's DirectorOur previous TV was a 40" screen and from across the room, one often had difficulty reading some text. Not now! This LG 55" screen is brilliantly clear, with amazing black and contrast! The only text I have difficulty with now the terrible font used by Fetch TV, which I can switch to with one button push.I can even use voice instructions! This beautiful appliance employs AI technology to ensure the best viewing experience. There are many more excellent features too many to list here! Including plenty of the necessary accessory ports, like HDMI, for my set top box, router, etc.The screen comes almost to the very edge perhaps a milimetre or two I highly recommend this product that also has a far less reflective screen than our previous brand of TV! I almost forgot to mention that it comes with "LG CHANNELS," an extensive range of free TV Channels, with various categories, including a few Wildlife and MOVIE Channels! The ability to click and scroll a wheel on the remote control is brilliant. How much easier it is to just point to letters of a pop-up keyboard with the cursor, when entering text or searching! However, one slightly odd thing is that the cursor on the screen is not fixed the where the remote is pointing. If it seems off centre, you can point past the edge of the screen to realign the cursor. It is very possible that there is a setting somewhere to change that, as I haven't even bothered to look.Of course, being a Smart TV, the Home screen features numerous Apps, channels, and other visual links to Live channels, Breaking News, New Releases, and much more!Another benefit is that the Settings are easily accessible and intuitive.Lastly, I must mention that it carries the typical, standard Warranty, but because I bought it at the very best price possible, from The Good Guys, I was able to replace that with a 5 YEAR GOLD SERVICES EXTRAS Warranty. This is, by far, the best Warranty Service available for retail purchases! In addition to excellent, quick and easy repairs or replacements, one also has access to a variety of Discounted Gift Cards. Plus, Gold Service Extras Members who activate a free 90 Day StoreCash Digital Wallet will be entitled to receive 3 x $20 90 Day StoreCash amounts paid directly into their Digital Wallet every 12 months!

detailedReviews 140: content: So this is a review that is both good and bad, first a bit of context. I purchased an open box excellent C4 77 TV online. There was not an option for delivery online so I drove to the store to pick up the TV with a minivan (my mistake, read on).
The Good:
- The staff at the store was very helpful and polite and educated me that I should not lay the TV flat in my van so they arranged to have delivery included. This took a couple of hours waiting at the store but I still say it is a positive in that they worked hard to setup the delivery which I didn't have to pay for and the gentleman I interacted with were very kind and helpful the entire time, I was impressed by their customer service.
- TV (minus the damage, see the bad), the picture is excellent and LG software is intuitive and easy to setup.
The Bad:
- The TV did not fit open box excellent for three reasons, one which is significant. The significant issue is there is a half inch diameter spot of damage on the bottom right hand corner of the screen which I saw once I hung the TV. Shame on me for not looking closer but this should have been caught by the team as it is now obvious everytime I watch a show. Additionally, and this is minor, but the previous owner's Netflix account was still logged in so the software had not been reset. One more minor issue, it was missing one screw and the hardware was thrown in the box, I didn't need the screw so not significant, but the three items makes me wonder how much inspection occurred when the presious owner returned the product. I called Best Buy support to see if I could get a credit for open box fair and I can provide pictures of the damage, but they say I have to drive to the store and that they cannot receive pictures of the TV to the store support personnel. This is frustrating and I'm still gauging if I want to mess with this as I don't live very close to the store. The support personnel on the phone, I called both the global BestBuy number (who couldn't help me) and the specific store number were both very kind and professional but appeared to be limited by their policies.
Anyway, beware of buying open box items, if this item were truly in like-new excellent condition, I would've easily given it five stars.

detailedReviews 141: content: Best Buy is my ONLY choice for top-quality products and service. My family and I have been loyal customers since our local store opened in the 1990s. Your San Marcos store has the absolute expert, Roger, in the TV department. I have purchased 3 LG TVs from him: 2021 - 55", 2024 - 43 inch, and this year in 2025, after waiting 4 long years and countless conversations about the LG OLED TVs with Roger, we finally bought the 65" C4 OLED with the LG 3.1.1 Soundbar with the 5-year and 4-year service contracts respectively, to protect our purchases! During the buying process, he answered all our questions to our complete satisfaction, and my wife, who is skeptical of all salespeople, was impressed with his knowledge and was completely sold on making this considerable investment. We have been watching all our favorite TV shows and movies, and the OLED picture quality, its depth of picture, and unlike a lot of TVs that have black that looks more dark gray, the OLED's black is amazing! We just watched Star Wars and we were blown away! It is like nothing we have seen before. Who needs to go to a movie theatre when we have our new OLED TV with an incredible sound system? In today's world of cut-throat pricing and so many websites offering the same product, Best Buy stands out as the number #1 leader in customer satisfaction and product choice. I would suggest to anyone buying consumer electronics or any product that Best Buy offers, to give them a chance to answer your questions and compare what they are offering against what the others are selling. It will be time well spent, so you can make a highly informed buying decision that you will not regret!

detailedReviews 142: content: I wanted to share my thoughts on the LG OLED65C4 smart TV that I recently bought and had the pleasure of setting up and using. From the start, the packaging impressed me with its thoughtful design. Being able to remove the box while leaving the TV in place is a fantastic idea, as it eliminates the precarious task of pulling the TV out of the box.Although this is my second LG TV, the setup process was even more straightforward. Essentially, it's just plug and play. The default settings right out of the box were surprisingly good. While I enjoyed adding APPS and fine-tuning picture and sound settings for my space, I found that the defaults were very good e.g. using the Expert preset resulted in a pretty impressive picture immediately. The picture quality is outstanding, thanks to the OLED technology, which delivers perfect blacks and contrast that far surpasses any LED TV. HDR content looks particularly stunning and truly showcases the benefits of OLED technology. The OS is excellent and one of the main reasons I stuck with LG other than the picture. The new iteration of LGs webOS is fantastic but very familiar to use.The only very minor negative was the delivery. Whilst the TV was delivered on time and in good condition, the drivers simply did not like their jobs, and it showed. In conclusion, I find it difficult to fault this TV. I am extremely happy it is an excellent all-rounder that excels in picture quality and APP and streaming support. I highly recommend it to anyone considering a new TV.

detailedReviews 143: content: I've had the TV a couple of weeks now and I have to say, once you go OLED, there is no going back. I came to best buy wanting a OLED but settling for a QLED for one reason only, the worry of pixel burning! Every review I read (OLED vs QLED) OLED was the better quality of the 2, BUT (and it's a major BUT) pixel burning was a con in every one of those reviews and I think anyone whose owned a tv that had an "image burn in" or "screen burn" can tell you it's the worst! It basically ruins whatever quality your tv had or was supposed to have no matter how nice or expensive it was. And so that goes without saying, spending 2500 bucks on an amazing top tier TV that had a higher risk of an issue that would ruin its quality (that your paying a heavy price for) didn't sound to appealing. Plus owning a TV from 2015 that I purchased brand new at the time (Samsungs first 4k curve screen) amazing and still works flawlessly till this day, but it meant upgrading to a QLED would still beat the picture quality by a mile of what I was used too and I'd be more than happy with its picture quality. But then comes this best buy employee and he breaks down the differences and shows me visually why OLED is superior and I told him that I knew it was better and that my problem was the pixel burning. So he went on to explain where OLED TV's started and how far they've come. One thing I didn't know and was not mentioned in any blogs or reviews is the fact that all the new OLEDs starting back a couple of years now have built in safeguards and settings that not only avoid pixel burn but also reverse it! I was immediately sold! And boy am I happy about it! It's one of those things you wouldn't understand unless you've had the luxury of enjoying one!

detailedReviews 144: content: I picked this up from my local Best Buy for a great price since it was a floor model. Barely any hours on the TV and the condition was excellent! Thank you Best Buy and much thanks to the employees at the store in Lake Charles, LA.

detailedReviews 145: content: I play more games on console than my PC. I previously used a ASUS IPS 1440p 165hz monitor for my PlayStation 5 & Series X. That is not an issue for me anymore. The TV is plenty bright on gamemode and having the window open for me. I'm super happy that I was able to get this for only $800.

title: Perfect 42" OLED for desk setup
detailedReviews 146: content: I've owned my fair share of tvs and this thing doesn't disappoint. Do yourself a favor and get this TV especially if you want a good picture and for anyone who walks into your house to stop and ask what kind of TV is that and compliment it

detailedReviews 147: content: I have been using this TV for over 3 weeks now, and I know this is great.
9.1.2. It allows you to achieve both a better spatial effect and better optimize the sound for a specific scene.

title: Amazing picture, impressive smart features
detailedReviews 148: content: Unboxing: 4/5 Well packed although putting together the stand is a little confusing as the instructions don’t show an accurate image of the correct screw to use and bags they are in are not numbered.
Not too much of an issue for us as we can close the blind on the problem window but something to consider (maybe all TVs are this shiny now anyway).

detailedReviews 149: content: Have had in place for a few weeks now and have loved the TV from the start. I do have a full surround sound solution, so not using the built-in speakers, but initial testing with those seemed more than adequate if that was your only option.

detailedReviews 150: content: Still mourning the death of my 55 LG plasma TV, my interim led TV also croaked. I suggest you get one of these gems right now before the tariffs hit.

detailedReviews 151: content: After reading reviews and watching a few YouTube videos of this LG C4 as a PC gaming monitor, boy am I impressed! Thanks BestBuy!

detailedReviews 152: content: I purchased the LG C4 OLED TV from Costco expecting top-tier quality, but was immediately let down.
LG will likely respond with the usual “We’re sorry to hear this, please contact our support line 1800…” — but based on my experience and the many similar reviews, it’s clear that nothing ever improves.

detailedReviews 153: content: This LG OLED replaces our 55” 2019 LG NanoCell, and what a difference! And this TV is by far the best one we’ve even owned.

detailedReviews 154: content: This was an upgrade from an LG B8 65". I recommend a 5.1 receiver/speaker system or a least a soundbar with a sub.

detailedReviews 155: content: This tv is amazing. My picture doesn’t do it justice.

detailedReviews 156: content: Product 5 stars. This was not a good experience.

detailedReviews 157: content: Unreal clarity. I know I’m gushing but I’ve had mine for a few months now and I’m just completely blown away by the quality.

detailedReviews 158: content: Absolutely outstanding TV coming from a 65" Samsung LED tv.
Wroth the price 100%

detailedReviews 159: content: Replaced my LG Oled from 2018 and really loved it. Other than that, do yourself a favor and impulse buy this bad boy and throw in the back of the car.

Remote is a weakness, it is not lighted. It works well enough but the channel and volume buttons are somewhat recessed and are hard to work in a dark room. Dolby Vision is awesome as is Dolby Atmos. The black background is great and i had to turn brightness up to full before i was satisfied with it. Handles motion great also. The TV speakers by themselves are just okay but great when couples with LG Soundbar. I got the S70T and it jas great surround sound performance and is excellent balue for price. detailedReviews 163: content: Have to say I am really impressed with the picture quality and the brightness is significantly better than what I thought it would be.

No back light making it ridiculous to find the 1 button you need (out of at least 50 buttons), even with a dim light on. The #1 worst thing about this remote is the wheel. If you have fingernails longer than 1/8" then the mouse feature will keep popping up taking you far away from what you were originally trying to click on, and its all the time. Let's talk about apps, there's many apps i use that are not available for downloading so getting a firestick for this tv is a must. Which is ridiculous! I have an old 55" tcl ($300, 7 yrs ago) that has much better color than this brand new oled. Smh. I was going to buy 2 more, 1 for living room and 1 for gym thinking, i just want the best. They cannot even deliver a tv correctly or even get a supervisor to fix a mistake. When you have managers tell a customer that Best Buy sucks and outsources terrible help, you know it is awful. Go directly to LG and buy the 77 inch C4 Smart TV directly. LG has better add-on warranties and installs that are cheaper!! Here is LG’s link: https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-oled77c4pua-oled-4k-tv
Be smart and stop shopping at Best Buy. I wish I was smarter.
The 77 inch C4 eco Smart TV is great and the picture looks great for true movie quality viewing. But Best Buy will mess up the order and make you regret buying the tv. So skip the hassle and order directly from LG.

detailedReviews 167: content: This tv has a very dramatic and bold picture, and that's good and bad.
Definitely not understanding the hype.

detailedReviews 168: content: TV is great.
I only use an AppleTV remote and don't want to use the bully LG Remote just to turn off the stupid banner or wait what seems like 5 minutes to go away.

detailedReviews 169: content: Overall, this is tv is what we expected. The remote control is the worst thing about this tv.

detailedReviews 170: content: This is the first display I've purchased since two Pioneer Kuro Elite's. I'm happy with the purchase.

detailedReviews 171: content: I love it so much! Oh well they missing out lol

detailedReviews 172: content: UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS
All-in-all, this is by far the best TV I have ever used, and I would recommenbd it to anyone.

detailedReviews 173: content: Incredible TV! Highly recommend!!

detailedReviews 174: content: I have been using the C4 OLED evo now for approximately a month and at the risk of sounding boring it is exactly what I expected it to be. You do lose a little bit of depth by not having the rear channel speakers on the sound bar we bought with the tv in the bundle but that can be fixed if you buy the newer model year unit at a slight price bump.

detailedReviews 175: content: I wasn’t shopping around for a new TV but when my Sony Bravia TV stopped working recently. I had to make tough choice to repair or buy new. All-in-all, a great buy and I am happy with the buy. Highly recommend this LG C4 for someone looking to buy.

detailedReviews 176: content: I use this tv on a regular basis for a monitor and it has exceeded my expectations. The oled panel shows perfect colors and black for dark environments. One piece of advice maybe check on the store page for an open box offer and select the best condition and see what you can get. Happy with my purchase! ;)

detailedReviews 177: content: I’m extremely frustrated with my recent experience.
So the whole experience of waiting in excitement for the new TV to be present, has been ruined by this situation.

detailedReviews 178: content: Disappointed this new OLED Evo TV is not much brighter. I truly hope LG fulfills our promotion or as I mentioned to the order customer service agent that I will order another OLED and better soundbar since the sale is bigger a few weeks after my original purchase.

detailedReviews 179: content: Having come from a 55" LG OLED C8 from around five years ago, I knew what I was in for; perfect blacks, great brightness, Dolby Vision support.

I am blown away with the combination. Looks and sounds totally amazing. I also added the Govee Envisual TV Baclight to add to the amazing look picture. It is an amazing sensory experience. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend it. It’s like being at the movies, but you can do it in your underwear! The colors are vibrant, the blacks are dark, and the picture is sharp.

detailedReviews 181: content: Nice TV - solid picture, good quality. Super thin and light. All connections are on the left-hand side as you face the screen - I would have liked an HDMI connection on the right-hand side. The LG user interface is a little intrusive, but not awful.
Nice TV, but wouldn't buy an LG product again unless they do better by the environment.

detailedReviews 182: content: I have a Sony A80 OLED as my big TV in our family room. Been a Sony guy since tube TVs. When its time to upgrade the family room TV, i migjt go with the C series over Sony’s A series in the future.

detailedReviews 183: content: Happy with my 48" LG OLED C4 series TV, but it's not perfect.
