detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: After holding off purchasing a Dyson air wrap for years, the new and advanced technology of the i.d. Curl definitely persuaded me that it was time to own and invest in one, as well as the impressive multi-use function of it. I had done a lot of research on the Airwrap so I felt informed and knew what to expect in terms of curl longevity. I want to start this review off by stressing that, if you want a super tight and defined curl that holds until your next hair-wash, then the air wrap may not exceed expectations on straight/wavy hair that is fine like mine. However, it does make a full hair routine from drying to a styled salon “blowout” a total breeze and I have found that the health, shine and smoothness of my hair is the best it’s ever been- I’ve even had compliments on my hair since using it such as “your hair looks particularly luscious today!”. Having seen other users talk about the various successes or failures with the barrels, I think it seems that the new conical shaped barrel included in this kit will have the most success rate in terms of holding movement and a curl in the hair without it dropping. I’ve been using this one for most of my styling and do get lasting loose curls until my next wash as long as I prep the hair and set it correctly. Dyson also offers really helpful advice on getting the best out of your machine with tips and how-tos. The fact my phone connects to the device and guides me through my styling routine is just genius and incredibly helpful since the best results are achieved by incorporating the cool shot on each curl. I don’t even have to think while I’m using the Airwrap in this mode.
I can undoubtedly confirm that this multi-use tool will replace everything for me, including my previous Dyson supersonic hairdryer which I have owned since 2017 (now gifted to my mum as it is still in full working condition!). The i.d. Airwrap is much lighter and way more multifunctional. If you’ve never tried the Airwrap- it does feel a bit magic the way it just curls your hair for you, and I do feel happier knowing that I’m not using dangerous temperatures to achieve a nice finish on my hair. So far, I’ve benefitted from having all the various attachments to use at different times depending on the style and finish I’m after. Overall, I would recommend this to any user who values hair health and a salon quality “blow out”. I really look forward to using it and with each use, you become more familiar and learn the best ways to use it for your hair. I’m personally thrilled with the colourway too, I think it looks really fresh and modern and uniquely Dyson! It makes a great gift to yourself or for a fellow hair enthusiast.

title: New technology persuaded me to invest
detailedReviews 2: content: If you’ve had an air wrap then this is defo an upgrade, especially if you’ve been using the airwrap to curl your hair.
The new air wrap id has made curling your hair so simple (as compared to the previous models of air wrap). Upon registering the device, the app will ask you a few questions about your hair type, this will then create an automated setting depending on hair type and length for which to curl the hair - all of which can be adjusted again if necessary. The device automatically times to wrap, style and cool shot hair sections which can be adjusted once used or tried if necessary: so instead of pressing the cool shot button to hold the style once the hair has been wrapped the device will do it all for you and you can follow this all in the app, which is pretty cool!
I have had an air wrap for around a year and a half and I’ll be honest I wasn’t impressed with the device to curl my hair because it just took so long so stopped using it to curl altogether but still used it for volumising using the round brush. But this new device makes it so easy to curl and style the hair.
The app is amazing, so many different hair styles you are guided through for all hair types and lengths.
I’m a beginner and curling and styling my own hair is the biggest Bain of my life - this new device has changed this somewhat in terms of curling using the curl id method.
I’m also a bit lazy and didn’t bother to dry my hair up to 80% from towel dried so I just adjusted the wrap length on the curl id step and some sections which were still a bit damp I did the step twice to completely dry and set the curl. From towel dried to completely set and styled, it took me around 20 minutes. Which, considering I am useless at styling my own hair is pretty good. With the old air wrap it would take me up to an hour as manually cool shotting and guessing how long to hold the section before a cool shot was a longer process.
I used the 40mm barrel on what id class as mid length hair, rather than the cone barrel and I feel for my length hair it gave me a better result and a neater finish.
First pic is before, second pic is using the cone barrel and third pic is 40mm barrel. The finished curls were not hair sprayed or combed through as I prefer to let them unravel naturally so this was fresh off the Dyson!
Cons:
I feel for the price of the device, Dyson should provide the smaller, round, volumising brush too as well as the regular 30mm straight barrel for curl options.
Having to leave the device on standby in order to connect to Bluetooth is a massive pain also. There should be a Bluetooth button which means not having to leave the device on and on standby.

title: New Airwrap ID made curling simple
detailedReviews 3: content: Having been an airwrap user since the 1st gen release, the Dyson airwrap has been my constant hair styling companion since 2018. The 2nd gen brought with it many improvements so I was very excited to be selected for a free trial for the latest 3rd gen Airwrap i.d. and after using it a few times I can say it’s definitely a new favourite and worth the upgrade.
The biggest change is the introduction of a smart app that customised your hair curling routine. I love how simple it is and after quickly setting up my hair type it’s ready to go. With past airwrap models, I always get lazy to hold to cold shot button and so my styles didn’t last very long. With the airwrap i.d. that’s no longer the case as the app automates the entire heating and cooling process so you literally just press a button to curl your hair, and what a game changer that is! What I love is the thoughtfulness in the design of the sequence, it gives you a few seconds to wrap the hair before the styling starts and once the cooling finishes the airflow automatically turns down so you can put it down to adjust your hair or change the direction of the barrel easily.
Besides the smart app, it’s also great to see Dyson continually taking on feedback and improving the shape and design of the attachments. While at first glance they may not seem significantly different to previous generations but the small changes are welcome and do make a difference. The inclusion of a conical barrel is a great addition for hair around the face, I like that the smoothing brushes have been streamlined (I only ever used the soft one anyway and it’s my favourite), while increasing the size of volumising brush is also a good move. The smoothing dryer is the best and I actually reach for this right from the start instead of the fast dryer as it gives me more control.
Overall whether you are a veteran airwrap user or a newcomer to this wonderful tool you will find something to love in the new Dyson airwrap i.d.

title: Smart app customized hair curling routine
detailedReviews 4: content: It is fair to say I’m a fan of Dyson hair tools. Over the years I have purchased the original hairdryer (2016), the Airwrap (2018), the Corrale (2020) and finally the Airstrait (2024 which I loved so much I also purchased a US voltage on for travel). I was thrilled when I was contacted by Dyson this month and asked to review the new Airwrap i.d.
Firstly the look and feel – I loved the colour of the item I received (vinca blue / topaz). Very bright and eyepopping! When I picked it up out of box it immediately felt lighter than the original airwrap, which is a good thing as if using to dry then curl your hair the lighter the better. The feel / grip of the product (the coating?) is nicer than the old one.
I’ve tried it on a combination of hair – from freshly washed to refreshing my hair on day 2or 3. I’ve also tried all of the attachments I received (the straight / wavy set). Regardless of which attachment I was using, the one thing I noticed was that the power felt much stronger than my old one (which still works perfectly well). The fast dryer was indeed very fast! As was the dryer with smoothing attachment. Much quicker than the old one I guess due to the power. So a big tick for drying speed.
In terms of hair texture / frizz, when using the soft smoothing brush attachment I also noticed that it got my home lovely and smooth and much less frizzy than the original Airwrap I actually also feel like my hair was even smoother than using the Airstrait and also looked glossier and healthier. However – the Airwap does not come close to the straightening power of the Airstrait and so for me there is a trade off. I can’t achieve a sleek straight look solely with the Airwrap I.D - I’d need to run straighteners or the Airstrait over afterwards.
The thing I was most excited for and intrigued about with this styler was the Bluetooth I.D function to programme your Airwrap to give you perfect curls. It was super easy to set up. Turn on the Airwrap with the Dyson app open and push up the button on Airwrap to pair. Job done! You then select your hair goals and your hair type and it basically sends instructions to your Airwrap on how long your curls needs to be heated and cooled for. Very cool. I think this is really useful as it used to be a pain manually switching to the cool shot button and I think many people probably didn’t even bother setting their curls with the cold air. The cold air is such a vital part of the curl process for longevity and so I loved this new functionality. I also loved the new curling barrel attachments and the fact you only need one for both sides of hair now (unlike previously when you had a barrel for each side). Based on the times I’ve used it, my curls have held longer using the app / Bluetooth functionality to programme the times / heat etc for curling so that is a big in in my books. I could still do with more practice to get the exact look I want but that is more stylist issue than Airwrap!
Will the new Airwrap I.D take me away from my beloved Airstrait? Not everyday no. If my desire that day is a sleek and straight look, I’ll stick to the Airstrait but I'll definitely be integrating the previously relegated Airwrap back into my hair styling routine now I have the new improved Airwrap I.D and I’ll use this on days I want speedy drying, volume (round brush attachment awesome for this) or curls with less damage than a hot iron curler.

detailedReviews 5: content: Having bought the Airwrap in Aug 2020 and enjoyed using it, I was so excited to get the opportunity to try the New Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler and dryer, Straight+Wavy (Vinca Blue/Topaz). I have long straight/wavy, fine (frizz prone) hair which I normally blow dry straight on a daily basis for sheer ease.
The unit is luxurious packed in its own case in which the lid doubles up as a phone holder, making its super easy to use the blue tooth app while I style my hair.
The unit does take some time to get into the flow of using it. Especially with the 6 different tools which come in the box. I haven’t tried them all out yet but I love the flexibility and while you are learning the styles the id function is amazing, it takes all the guess work out of curling and styling. I think in the future when you are used to using the machine you might not always need to connect the feature, but right now it makes it seamless and easy to complete a style, with step by step timings and instructions for your desired look and current hair condition (which can be updated as your hair changes with life factors or the inevitable aging process)
The new fly away smoother attachment controls my frizz perfectly, and I love the new feature that you don’t have to change the long barrel attachment to get the direction you want to get your curl in, just twist the top and keep styling!
I bought Dyson Chitosan™ Pre-style cream and Dyson Chitosan™ Post-style serum
previously, which I have used in conjunction with the Airwrap i.d. I am loving the results. Smooth styles with no flyaways and curls that hold! Would recommend purchasing for either a confident hair styler or someone new to styling who needs a little more guidance. I’m loving it.

title: ID function takes guesswork out of curling
detailedReviews 6: content: I have owned a Dyson hairdryer for over 5 years and I am sure this helps to keep my hair healthy so I was excited to try the new Airwrap i.d.
It is super lightweight and easy to handle with 5 styling attachments, plus the dryer - everything I will ever need!
I love the supporting app and the stand in the lid of the beautiful storage box is perfect for my phone.
The tutorials on the app are brief and easy to follow, showing how to create curly to straight sleek styles.
I have long wavy hair and I am not used to creating different styles so it is a bit of a learning curve for me dividing my hair into sections - I probably need to invest in more hair clips!
I don’t like the feel of too much styling product in my hair but I know it is important. I find the small dose of Chitosan pre and post styling creams which I have been using since the summer provide excellent support and protection without leaving any residue at all.
I am practicing drying my hair to approx 80% before styling - key to getting good hold. The drying time is quick and I am mastering the styling techniques via the app and achieving great results.
I particularly love the quick and easy way to create ringlets with the larger barrel. I set myself up as a beginner on the app but customised my styling times as I found I needed less time to ‘wrap’ as it was so straightforward.
To get improved hold for an evening out, I do add a little styling mousse to the roots for increased and lasting lift. My hair is completely dry after styling, I rub a couple of drops of Chitosan post styling cream in my hands then gently comb out the curls with my fingers, for a relaxed, bouncy style with fantastic shine.
Thank you Dyson Team!

title: Practicing drying to 80% for good hold
detailedReviews 7: content: I recently bought the airwrap i.d. to replace my original airwrap origins for long hair. It's basically the same tool with smart technology and a couple of different attachments. I absolutely love this tool. I can't believe I went so many years without it. When I first got my original there was a huge learning curve and I was not having much success with achieving the look I wanted. Because I spent so much money on it I was determined to figure it out so I watched at least a dozen YouTube videos with tutorials on how to get the most out of the airwrap and after enough practice I finally got the hang of it. The i.d. version works exactly the same way but you can connect it to your smart phone via bluetooth and the app controls each step: wrapping, curling, cool shot. You no longer have to think about it. I get that counting how long to curl your hair is not that difficult, but this version costs the same as the non-connected version (at least for now) so for the same amount of money why not get the more advanced version? You don't have to use the smart phone app if you don't want to. You can also customize the timings on each step to your own preferences. The conical wand is amazing. I was skeptical about it at first and preferred to use the larger straight barrel but after giving the conical barrel a shot I am hooked. I believe you can buy this attachment from Dyson so if you have an older machine but want to try the new barrel you can just buy one from them. All their attachments are interchangeable with all their machines. If you invest in this device I strongly recommend that you watch as many YouTube tutorials that you can and try each of their tips and recommendations. My hair is long and fine and holding a curl is a challenge. With the right styling products and the Dyson air wrap, I have far more good hair days than bad ones.

title: ID version makes device SO easy to use
detailedReviews 8: content: I have fine blonde hair that has never met a style it wants to hold onto, preferring to laze about instead like we’re all on holiday instead of people in need of good hair. I snatched up the original Airwrap, and later the awesome upgraded tools, and I love it … but honestly, I never bother using it to curl my hair because it’s all these steps I have to remember and I don’t know til I’m done if I did it right or if my hair is going to cackle at me as it lies down and refuses to get up and go to dinner. (Turns out I’m lazy too.)
So when the new Airwrap i.d. arrived, I was super excited to find out if I or my hair cared about the new features. We all draw our own lines where results aren’t worth the effort and mine starts at “I work remotely and I don’t really want to video chat with you unless I have to.”
… and it turns out I care about these new features. A lot. Because I didn’t have to expend any (well, barely any) effort to have better hair than any professional stylist has given me in years. I flicked a button and this thing wrapped my hair for me and it did its magical curling infusion bit and then it changed up the air and set them and I just sat there watching the countdown in the app while thinking about how much time I spent on my hair as a teenager. I didn’t even section my hair (though the app suggests doing so). I wanted a realistic, non-event-hair, would-I-use-this-for-just-any-day trial, and that meant no sectioning and no extra products. And wow, did it deliver.
There are a few other notable differences between the Airwrap multi-styler and the new i.d. With the new model, you get: 1. a fast dryer attachment in addition to the Coanda smoothing dryer. 2. a large round volumising brush attachment with a much bigger circumference than the original round brush. 3. a soft smoothing brush but not the firm smoothing brush. 4. a conical barrel and a 40mm fat barrel to go tight to the root or loose and bouncy, as preferred. 5. a superwide-tooth comb for detangling or gently loosening curls. I’ll provide photos showing the attachments for each version to help you sort this out.
In short, if you want payoff despite being lazy or you simply don’t have the skills to get you from straight/wavy to voluminous or curly, I think this is the model for you and me. For the more skillfull / more patient / less lazy among us, you’d be fine without the i.d. but make sure you get the attachments with enhanced Coanda because it is peace and love and rainbows and unicorns.

title: New features deliver better hair with effort
detailedReviews 9: content: A true, all in one product that is superior in every possible way? As someone who makes a point to not be influenced, the hype around Airwrap is in fact real. The only things I find to be truly annoying are the cord and packaging. I would prefer a functional well designed carrying/storage case over the ginormous shipping vessel as it takes up unnecessary space and is not at all practical. For a product that replaces every other single function tool, the disparity is glaringly obvious. As far as the cord, it’s nice that it is longer than most but I’d prefer a charge/battery to eliminate the weight of the cord all together, or a wind/in plug option where it can self-spoil into a base and give me only what I need, when I need it. The cord itself is thick and quite long, it reminds me of the Dyson vacuum cords! There isn’t a Velcro/wrap tie to keep it from being overly coiled. Those are the only functional deficiencies of the Airwrap ID. The technology and other functions of each feature are excellent. Users must use heat-protection products to preserve the integrity of their hair to prevent damage which is outlined in the instructions - so all negative reviews about damaging or ruining their hair are own fault. App technology gets to be a bit redundant over time, so I don’t use it as much as I did at first.. but it is helpful, regardless. The price point is steep, but for someone who has eliminated weekly blowouts at the salon all together, it has paid for itself in under 2 months.

title: Technology and functions of each feature excellent
detailedReviews 10: content: After 2 years, I finally bought the AirWrap almost a month ago after using a friend’s and loving it. I can say it is one of the best investments I have made. Here are some of my key takeaways:
- I was most surprised by the hair dryer attachment - it only took me 5 minutes to dry my hair! I have very long, thick, and curly hair that takes about 15-20 minutes to dry with my other hair dryer.
- Since my hair is curly, I do have to blow dry it, smooth it with the round brush, and then use the barrel attachments to avoid my natural curl coming out at the root. This entire process from wet out of the shower to styled takes about 20 minutes. If my hair is dry and I am using the barrel, it takes 7-10 minutes to style.
- Different products can change your entire look - if I use a mousse or a root spray, I get a ton of volume and my curls tend to hold better. If I use a blowout cream or smoothing products like oils, my curls look softer, and more relaxed.
- I do like the AirWrap id feature, however I do not believe it is completely necessary. You could manually do what the AirWrap id does with changing temperature and speeds. However, it is the same cost with or without this feature, so you might as well get the latest technology!
- I was someone who never did my hair because I wash it every day and would rather sleep in than style my hair - it was always up in a messy bun or clip. I can say that the AirWrap has changed my mornings for the better as it styles my hair so quickly!
- The only thing I wish I did differently was purchase the AirWrap that comes with the diffuser. I do plan to buy the diffuser attachment later on.
- My only “dislike” is the cost, but I quickly got over this as it is totally worth it!

title: ID feature not completely necessary but good
detailedReviews 11: content: This multi styler comes with everything you could possibly need for styling your hair. It even has a Bluetooth app you can download and you can use the MyDyson app to help style your hair. It is pretty simple to use. You just enter questions about your hair and styling and follow the instructions. If you already have a Dyson app for other Dyson devices, you don’t even have to download the app and can just add it to the list.
It comes with a total of six attachments. The first attachment I tried was the fast dryer one. This is good for just drying your hair enough to use the attachments for styling hair.
Conical Airwrap barrel has a tapered round shape and allows you to get curls closer to your roots. It gives my hair beautiful springy curls that will last. The airflow allows your hair to automatically wrap around the barrel. It also has a knob at the top to change the direction of the airflow. Others I have tried give you two different barrels for the different airflow. I really appreciate Dyson for thinking of the user with this idea.
There is also a 1.6 inch barrel Airwrap. This barrel allows for you to create looser curls or add a nice wave to your hair. This barrel also has a knob at the top to change the direction of the airflow.
The only problem I had the first time using a barrel was remembering to turn the knob to change the air flow direction. I started with my hair curling nicely away from my face, forgot to change the direction and started the other side with the curls going towards my face…My bad. All I had to do is turn the knob in the right direction and it curled up perfectly without having to dig in the container to change the barrel like you have to do with other stylers.
The Soft Smoothing brush attachment dries your hair while also giving you a straighter style and if you brush inward at the bottom it will give a slight under curl at the bottom to finish your style if you desire.
The Large Round Volumizing Brush is pretty much what it says. It is a large round brush attachment that works great on thinner hair or if you want a style with more volume.
The Coanda Smoothing Dryer attachment is great to dry your hair and get rid of fly-aways.. There are two settings for this attachment. One setting gives a wider range and dries your hair. Turn the knob and the air flow is more concentrated for smoothing and helps to get rid of those dreaded fly-aways.
The MyDyson app is great for those that are learning to use this styler. There is a learning curve to using this styler and this app really helped figure some of it out. Once you download the app, it will ask questions about your hair and if you are a beginner, advanced or pro at hair styling. Once that is finished, the app will give you guidance on how long to use the different attachments, such as a countdown as to when to stop. There are many tutorials to show how to use the styler for different hair styles. This app also has the user guide, support, troubleshooting and even a chat for added support.
I really appreciate Dyson for thinking of the user when designing this. I think for the price you really get what you pay for.

title: MyDyson app great for learning to use
detailedReviews 12: content: I purchased this new Dyson Airwrap I.D. In Jasper Plum shade as an update to my original grey and pink Airwrap I purchased back in 2018 when they were first available in the UK. My old Airwrap was starting to over heat but I’d used it regularly for 8 years so it has lasted well. This new I.D Airwrap is a lovely colour in an attractive presentation box. I wasn’t sure about the smoothing brush at first as I have thick hair, and my previous brush was the firm brush and this one isn’t. But I will say it does go through my hair just fine and dries and smoothes it well. Obviously the big thing is the curling and I did find it a bit odd to begin with, but I followed the instructions and I also stopped watching the app timer and just listened to the sound of the Airwrap motor instead, much easier. (It’s much quieter when it’s finished, ready for the next curl). I have very long waist length hair, so curling this is a challenge, though keeping the curl is the real challenge. Being able to switch from left to right direction on the barrel is good, rather than physically swapping over the left and right barrels. I’ve found using old fashioned setting lotion sprayed on my damp hair helps hold a curl, but with long one length hair, it does still drop into a wave. Even with the curl dropping my hair does look silky and well groomed, like a professional blow dry. The smoothing tool helps rid my hair of frizzy hair on top too and lasts. All in all I’m happy with my newer Airwrap I.D model and would be happy to recommend it. With care, I expect it to last as long as my first one, though it’s important to keep the filter clean for longevity.

title: New ID Airwrap model happy to recommend
detailedReviews 13: content: Astonished that so many attachments were included with this Dyson Airwrap multi-styler. There is a bit of a learning curve-the Dyson videos on their website are the best at detailing and demonstrating step-by-step. If you follow those instructions you will achieve the results, and it doesn’t take longer than your usual routine. And if you are considering the Dyson because your current products are over-frying your hair, you are on the right track. For hair that tends to frizz like mine, I found that low air/high heat works best for the drying phase. For airwrap, high air/high or medium heat helps it wrap and the style to set. I have hair a bit longer than shoulder-length and somewhat wavy. The smaller diameter air-wrap is most successful for curly waves. The large round brush gives me a gorgeous straight somewhat volumized look. It is super easy to switch between attachments as you style. For example, I like to use the round brush to give my bangs a bit of a pouf, and the airwrap for the rest of my hair for the curly waves. You do not need to use the app to use airwrap; but the app does help with the timing for the airwrap, gives it an automatic cold shot and pauses while you grab another section to start to wrap. After you answer a few questions about your type of hair, it will alter the timing to achieve the best results for you. So why isn’t it a five star? If your hair isn’t the perfect state of slightly damp, the airwrap curl won’t last. You absolutely cannot use this on dry hair; spritz it first if you don’t wash it. I haven’t had the same problem with the brush attachment; it seems to get perfect results no matter what state of dampness (although still don’t useit with dry hair) I start with. I’m really curious if I could get a bit more curly style with the small brush attachment, and if I can emphasize my waves with a diffuser. So, I’m going to get a few more attachments that didn’t come with this model, lol. But my hair is gorgeous and healthy so that was my main goal.

title: App helps with timing and automatic cold shot
detailedReviews 14: content: I’m a huge fan of Dyson products, no more so than my Dyson Supersonic that I have been using for years and recently their new Chitosan styling products (which I would highly recommend). So I was excited to try the Airwrap for straight/wavy hair with the various attachments that came with it. It came in a lovely case with everything snuggly fitting in it. The first thing I did was download the Dyson app and pair my Airwrap with my phone. The app registers the type of hair you have e.g. fine, thick, curly straight, and length and how confident you are in your styling ability. It then logs your preferred speed and temperature settings. There are also some really useful tutorials on the app that are based on what you have selected.
My hair is quite short and bleached so not damaging it is a prime concern for me which is why I like my Supersonic so much. Using the Airwrap takes a little bit of getting used to because it is a different way to style your hair but when you do it is quite straightforward. I started using the hairdryer attachment first before I moved over to the round brush attachment. For me, I would also have liked a smaller version of the round brush too just because my hair is just a bit short for the large brush.
I have to say from the few times I used it I’m impressed and my hair has definitely got more volume to it and it doesn’t drop either. I still need more practice but so far I would recommend it. My next challenge is to try the curling attachments – wish me luck!

title: App has useful tutorials based on selection
detailedReviews 15: content: The 3rd gen Airwrap i.d. is an amazing upgrade from the 1st and 2nd gen Airwrap! The game changing feature is i.d. curl, which gives you the ability to automate the heating and cooling process for curls and have the timings personalised to my hair type! This is all configured after registering and connecting the Airwrap i.d. with bluetooth on the MyDyson app.
I was able to dry and curl all my thick long hair in 30mins! I’ll be styling my hair more often!!
I love that I no longer need to worry about switching the correct settings to heat or cool my curls, as i.d. curl its all timed to my specifications after a bit of trial and error. Configuring this was super easy too as the app clearly shows the stage i.d. curl is in and opportunity to adjust the setting using sliders to increase/decrease the time.
The app also indicates if the device is connected, whether the filter needs to be cleaned, i.d. curl settings (which works on both conical and 40mm Airwrap barrels), current speed and temperature settings and heaps of videos to walk through all settings and styling tutorials.
In terms of the other attachments, I find that the Coanda smoothing dryer works better and faster than the Fast dryer attachment when prepping my hair for the Airwrap attachments.
The large round volumising brush is such a great upgrade from the smaller volumising brush in precious generations, something thats a no-brainer when you’ve got longer hair and have selected the longer airwrap barrels.
Love the presentation box to store all my attachments and tools, but a small suggestion: would like to see more dividers to prevent attachments from getting scratched up.
Overall 10/10 for the Dyson Airwrap i.d for the automation, variety of attachments and new Conical airwrap barrel to get curls closer to the scalp for better volume.

title: ID curl automates heating and cooling process
detailedReviews 16: content: The new Dyson Airwrap multi styling tool is a game-changer for all things hair styling. Its powerful airflow was very noticeable as I have never seen my thicker hair dry so quickly before. The controlled heat to style without heat damage is a huge plus for hair health, especially for people who also dabble with dying and need to be super careful with their hair. The updated Dyson Airwrap has multiple attachments that make it super versatile so if you want smooth, voluminous, or curled hair, it does the job perfectly. It’s impressive on wet hair, saving time and reducing the need for multiple tools. The sleek design is extremely functional and comfortable to get use to, very ergonomic compared to competitors versions of the Airwrap that are on the market. The new technology and bluetooth to connect to the app was extremely user friendly and easy to navigate. The app gave step by step instructions once you input your hair type, automatically timing the curl process once you connected to it. You don’t have to press any buttons on the Dyson itself to change the temperature or fan, which definitely a plus. It’s very informative and personable to the user. Overall I would recommend this new Dyson Airwrap to anyone looking to add variety to their hair look but is not fully confident in the technique, as the Dyson will surely get you there.

detailedReviews 17: content: The Dyson Airwrap is my hair’s new best friend - and my clumsy hands’ hero ❤️
I have to say, I’ve always dreamed of effortlessly styled hair, but my complete lack of hairdresser skills (and honestly, my tendency to fumble and drop every curling iron or straightener I’ve ever owned) made that dream feel impossible. Until the Dyson Airwrap came into my life!
This thing is pure sorcery. It grabs the hair for you, wraps it around the barrel like some kind of hair ninja, and boom - curls, waves, or sleek styles without me fighting with sectioning clips, weird angles or that awkward “which way do I twist this thing” moment. I don’t even need to have a single professional skill - the Airwrap practically styles my hair for me.
What used to be a sweaty, arm-aching battle with the old-school stylers is now a fun little self-care moment. My hair looks shiny, and bouncy and I actually enjoy doing my hair now. (My hair are fine, without volume, and collar bone length).
If you’re someone like me who usually ends up with tangled section, random kinks, and burned fingertips, the Dyson Airwrap is worth every penny. It’s like having a personal hair stylist living in your drawer - except this one is patient, gentle and never judges my clumsiness.
I also love the beautiful colours and design of the styler.
Highly recommend.

title: Airwrap practically styles my hair for me
detailedReviews 18: content: Dyson kindly sent me this beautiful styler to review. I didn’t think I would particularly think it was much better than the previous version but I was so wrong.
It’s incredible it’s a game changer. The new big round brush is considerably larger which means you can get so much more volume and its volume that holds and stays.
The curling wands is multi directional so you dont have to keep changing the barrel as per the previous versions. It’s sleek it beautiful to look at and worth every penny.
I used heat setting 2 rather than the hottest as my hair is quite fine and that works best for me. The cool shot gives the perfect hold.
I haven’t fully used the app yet but you can set up your own profile on the app and it will link with the dryer to tutor you through how to style your hair. This is game changing, it may take a few minutes to setup but enables you to style your hair easily. I am particularly hopeless at hair styling but these tools make me able to experiment with curls, waves and more which I wouldn’t have done before. I tried out smooth blow dry and also curls and it was so EASY and it held and it was EASY to get both sides looking good rather than just one.
Yes it is expensive but it’s beautifully built, and built to last. It’s solid, sturdy and robust. I travel a lot and this will be easy to travel with and will put up with lots of use.
It still comes in lovely case, meaning storage is easy and aesthetically pleasing it can be left out without making your room look cluttered or messy. My one came in a beautiful royal blue case and it is very pretty indeed.
I also took it to my hairdresser and she also loved it.
Don’t hesitate to buy it !

title: New big round brush means more volume
detailedReviews 19: content: The Dyson Airwrap i.d. Multi-Styler and Dryer for Straight+Wavy Hair is a fantastic all in one tool system for drying and styling your hair. There's so many attachments as well as possible styles. This is the very first hair tool that is Bluetooth that I have used. It has an app that gives tutorials on how to use the different attachments. It also uses a timer that helps with wrapping the hair around the curling barrel, curling the hair, then cooling the curl prior to limit the flow of air so that the hair can be detached from the barrel.
The attachments are easy to attach and remove. There's the conical barrel that curls tighter closer to the head. It worked just fine, but I preferred the 1.6 barrel to the conical one. I like more uniform curls. I would prefer a smaller barrel, but one didn't come with this set. I did love that you can switch directions by turning the knob on the end of the barrel. The volumizing brush is great! The ID settings with the timers are only for the barrels so this one you just need to wing it, but it is great for adding volume and a large curling swoop at the ends of your hair. There's also, of course, the quick dryer which I use for drying to about 50% overall. It works great. I wish it had a concentrator attachment for drying. I love using one of those to give a little root lift to my very thin hair. The smoothing brush helped me when trying to straighten my hair due to my natural waves. The one attachment I'm still fighting with is the flyaway smoother attachment. Definitely a learning curve with that one and I've still yet to really figure it out and get comfortable with it. I also wanted to mention that the cord swivel works better than any other curl styling tool I've ever had. Overall this is a great drying and styling set. It's a bit on the pricy side, but it's definitely quality and I would recommend it to anyone who can afford it.

title: Bluetooth app gives tutorials on attachments
detailedReviews 20: content: The Dyson - Airwrap id Multi-Styler and Dryer for Straight+Wavy Hair, is a comprehensive hair styling system that has many options. It came in a sturdy container for all of the parts. There are 6 different attachments that include a Fast Dryer, Conical Airwrap Barrel, 1.6 Airwrap long barrel, Dryer & Flyaway smoother, Soft Smoothing brush and a Large Round Volumizing Brush. These all easily attach to the handle and lock in place. It also comes with an app that tries to teach you how to successfully style your hair. You create your hair profile . The app connects via Bluetooth. I find that using an app for styling is somewhat cumbersome & you need a large vanity to lay these attachments out, along with your phone. I have lots of very fine, slightly wavy mid-length hair but I haven’t not been very successful with styling and I need a lot more practice, especially with doing the back of my head. I do like how this system gently dries and curls your hair. It also suggests cooling the stand of locks before releasing. For travel, you probably couldn’t take all of these attachments along but 2 or 3 might be manageable. Dyson makes very high quality merchandise and this is just another example of how well they make things. Hopefully I will continue to develop my skills at creating stylish hair.

title: App tries to teach how to style hair
detailedReviews 21: content: This product is fantastic! I would recommend it to anyone who has straight or wavy hair. The colours vinca blue and topaz are great and it has a lovely presentation case which fits the main product and all the accessories. The first thing I noticed was how lightweight and easy to use it was. It was also easy to fix and change the various attachments. You get six with this product! I did apply the Dyson chitosan pre style serum which I purchased last month which I find keeps your style in place and helps it last. I used the fast dry attachment first and was amazed at how very quickly it dried my hair. I then changed to the large volumising brush halfway as my hair is quite thin and fine and I do prefer it to have some volume. When I usually dry my hair it is quite flat and I have to apply products to give it some volume but with the Dyson Airwrap id I didn’t need to. I then used the smoothing tool to get rid of flyaways which it did and my hair looked as if I had just been to the salon . It looked much fuller with lots of volume and looked in great condition. I was super impressed. . This will save me money going to the salon for a blow dry and also save so much time as it is so quick to use. One of the best features is that you can pair your Dyson airwrap id to bluetooth via your phone and it will store your individual style and setting sequences. I have not done this yet as I am buying a new phone but can’t wait to try it. Although I used the fast dry and volumisiing tools yesterday I did play around with the two airwrap curling barrels today just to see how they worked and they curled my hair effortlessly. The narrower barrel gives you tighter curls. I will need to watch the tutorials to get better at it. My daughter cannot wait to try it out when she visits as she has really long red hair and it will be interesting to see how it works for her . I am sure when she does try it that it will be on her Christmas list for sure and you will get another 5 star rating!

title: Pair Bluetooth via phone stores style settings
detailedReviews 22: content: First, I have medium length Asian (Filipino) stick straight hair, mostly black but I have about 15% white hair strands that are a different texture than the black strands. Okay-I’ve been wanting an airwrap since they first came out bc I love how the styles look on other users and bc my hair felt so damaged from balayage. I finally pulled the trigger and I’m SO happy I got the i.d. one. I tried my friends basic airwrap twice and it was trickier because I didn’t know how long to hold the curl and when to use the cool shot button. The i.d. Model takes all the guessing work out and makes the device SO easy to use. My hair is so bouncy and full when I use it, I get SO many compliments. Throughout the days, the bounce decreases and the curls loosen, but I could definitely choose to spruce up some of the strands to make it look like the first day if I wanted to. And, my hair still looks great, even if I don’t do a touch up. My hairstyle lasts about 3-4 days before I have to wash my hair again and start fresh! I only use heat protecting cream from Kerastase. I don’t use hair spray or hair texturizing spray. I HIGHLY recommend this tool because it makes my hair look great and healthy!

title: ID model takes guessing work out, easy
detailedReviews 23: content: I was sent the new Dyson Airwrap ID Straight and Wavy to use and review. I am genuinely impressed with the results achieved from using this new hair styling device. I found it to be much quieter than the previous version which I own, and the new technology which sets a time for styling, heat and then cooling helps protect your hair from excessive heat. As I have fine hair this is particularly important to me. I just need more practice re curling my hair to get perfect beach waves that last. The hairdryer attachment is another fantastic upgrade. I will use this attachment most hair wash days to get my hair 80% dry, prior to styling. I use both of the Dyson hair serums, pre and post styling and I would recommend these to keep your hair in good condition and minimise damage to your hair. These are fantastic. A bit pricey but you only need to use a small amount to get great results. The Dyson Airwrap ID has far exceeded my expectations. I will watch the various videos on the Dyson website and YouTube to get tips on how to use all the functions and tools, especially to get different types of waves/curls. I’m looking forward to trying this out more. 😁❤️

title: New technology sets time for styling
detailedReviews 24: content: Pros:
—Styles, curls, and dries hair well
—Barrel attachments fit from previous versions, and you can purchase other attachments you might want to add
—The i.d. feature, once the timings are set to your liking, simplifies the (curling) process
—Even though the wall wart is bigger—there’s NO longer a big box banging in the middle of cord! Hooray!
—You can “skip ahead” in the curl cycle (more in the review below)
Cons:
—No middle size (1.2) barrel included with this set (you only get the 1.6 and the conical)
—No soft-sided or travel-friendly bag
—If you really love the manual cool shot option, there’s no manual cool shot button (however, I contend it’s not really an issue once you get used to the i.d. method when curling)
—This one (hopefully) won’t apply to very many buyers: I had trouble with one of the directions of the conical barrel (after a long chat with Dyson, they’re sending a replacement barrel)
I own a previous Airwrap long and was curious if I might like the i.d. Airwrap better.
—If you’re on the fence about getting a new one if you own an Airwrap already, if you’ve owned it a while you might like getting the new one for some of the features mentioned below that are new/different.
—If you don’t have one yet and you’re thinking about getting an Airwrap, while it is pricy, the tool is effective and useful. It can be a dryer, a curler, a blowout brush, and all without curling iron burns, and the appliance is easy to hold.
Just like Airwraps before it, there’s a learning curve, but it’s great once you figure out the best way to use it for your hair. My one technique tip is to not dry your hair too much before styling.
The new Airwrap i.d. for straight hair set came with a large brush and the conical barrel, the 1.6 barrel, the flyaway/dryer, the quick dryer (LOVE this attachment for quick drying!), and the smoothing brush. I wish it had also come with the 1.2 barrel, as that’s been a go-to for me, but my current 1.2 barrel fit on the new Airwrap i.d., as expected, so be assured that you can still use all those attachments you already have with this new unit.
The conical barrel picked up my hair well in one direction, but not the other direction. I was able to manually get it to wrap that direction, and the barrel would hold it. I have the .8 barrel and while that barrel makes a narrower curl, the conical curls better on the higher end next to my head. The 1.2 and 1.6 barrels worked correctly as expected.
The large brush – love it! It grasped my hair well, was easy to brush and roll, and you can (as with all attachments) use it with the various heat and speed settings, although note that the i.d. feature is just for the curling barrels.
***So, the i.d., the feature that’s new***: took a little getting used to since I’m used to the manual process. The cool shot is a necessary step for my curls to hold and I had to remember that the machine is doing the work for me now and to not push the button for the cool shot, ha!
However, through pushing the button during the i.d. cycle, though, I learned that when you do that, you can “skip ahead” – you push the button up to start the curl cycle - if you push the button up DURING the i.d. cycle, it skips to the next step of the cycle. So, if you already have your hair wrapped and want to begin the curl step, just bump the button to skip to that step. Feel like your curl is hot enough and ready for the cool shot? Bump the button and skip to the cooling part. Done with the cool shot? Bump it up and end the cycle!
Further, if you had a little trouble getting the hair to wrap and feel like the cycle wasn’t enough, as soon as the cycle ends, bump the button up quickly to start the cycle again without having to rewrap that curl to repeat the cycle!
Dyson initially sets the curl i.d. cycle’s timings based on some input you make, and if it ended there, I’d not like it so much since the timings it set weren’t quite what I needed – BUT- through the app, you CAN adjust the wrap, curl, and cool step timings to your needs. Also, the timings can be different for different heat and fan speed combinations.
Once you get used to the i.d. cycle, it’s pretty handy. I one of those who didn’t ever turn my non-i.d. Airwrap off between curls before, so having the i.d. unit go low/quiet in between curls is sure to save my hearing and it doesn’t blow things around (or off) the counter if I need/want to set it down between curls to clip or unclip my hair, or whatever.
All said, I’m happy with the i.d. version of the Airwrap and recommend it.
—It styles like the Airwrap should,
—attachments you own (if you’re a previous or current Airwrap owner) and new ones you buy fit right on,
—there’s no big block in the middle of the cord any longer,
—if you need to twist the appliance around when curling, you don’t need to know where the button is for a cool shot since the i.d. cycle incorporates the cooling for you,
—and the lowered fan speed in between curls is better for those like me who keep on curling without turning off the machine in between curls.

title: ID feature simplifies curling process once set
detailedReviews 25: content: I really like my new Dyson Airwrap i.d. so far, which was a gift from my husband. The tutorials are very helpful, and I love how quickly it dries my hair. My hair seems healthier without my old harsh drier. My only complaint is that my hair (coarse, thick, slightly wavy) doesn’t hold the curls past 15 minutes, even after trying several products. Part if this is due to the larger attachment which although it works well and gives nice waves, has too large of a barrel for curls, while the smaller curling attachment doesn’t grab my hair well unless you only use the tiniest pieces of hair..so it takes forever trying to dry/curl my thick head of hair, and I don’t have that kind of time in the morning. I wish this new Airwrap had a straight medium sized barrel that would grab more hair and produce a smaller initial curl (earlier versions like my daughters have this). I still have to use my curling iron when I want curl or days I don’t wash my hair. Still working on this though via many tutorials and product, and hopefully can figure out how to get lasting curls.

title: Difficult to get curls to hold
detailedReviews 26: content: When I had the option to give this a try I was estatic. I already have another lesser known brand of air styler, but always heard this one was better. Overall this multi styler is made very well. I love that it came in a nice organizable case. The styler itself is well made and sturdy feeling. The color is beautiful as well. There is an app that can be connected to the styler via bluetooth also. There is a neat mode for curling that times 7 seconds to get the hair wrapped, 7 seconds of curling and 5 seconds of a cool air blast to help with the hold. When you are in the app you can turn this feature on and off or watch the countdown on the timer. I did like that you can change curl direction on the curl attachment. This differs from the styler I currently use where you have to change the barrel for each direction. This helps save so much time. I have young kids so time to do hair is scarce. I do have complaints on the curling attachment however. Your hair cannot weigh too much or it will not suck to the barrel. So if you try to do too big of a section, or slightly too damp of hair it will not wrap, it often just blows the hair or does nothing until that is corrected. This made for a frustrating experiance. This is an issue I do not have with my other styler, so I know it is not just the nature of air stylers unfortunately. Once I was able to get the hair to wrap, things went well. I have super fine hair that would often drop a curl quickly. The curl from this styler held incredibly well. When I brushed theough it even it still maintained a tight curl. I was also not the biggest fan of the other attachments. The fly away attachment may have been user error, for the life of me, I could not fully figure it out. The regular blow dryer mode and the brush left many fly aways.

title: Curling attachment frustrating, hair won't wrap
detailedReviews 27: content: This is my 3rd Dyson Airwrap, but this latest version is the Airwrap i.d.
I was so excited to receive it that I set it up and went through the tutorial immediately. I was very pleasantly surprised by the results, my hair has never been so full and bouncy as it is with this new styler. Initially, I was worried about the set up procedure, but it was very easy, the App guides you through the process and as if by magic it’s all ready to use. I thought I should add myself as a beginner on the personal profile to ensure I got the best possible results, and very quickly realised I needed to amend the timings on the personalised settings. This was very easy to do and within a few minutes of being ready to style I have been able to achieve curls that I have never been able to do before. Furthermore my hair nearly always starts to flatten soon after styling, this hasn’t happened using my new Airwrap I.d.
So far I have only used the curling barrels, and can’t wait to try the other attachments out, if they are 10% as good as the barrels I’m a very happy customer, it’s a 5 star review from me. Thank you Dyson!

detailedReviews 28: content: I’ve always wanted the air wrap and am not disappointed 😀I found it easy to use, I was able to dry and style my hair quickly and was very happy with the end result after the first use. Using the Dyson styling products my hair has stayed soft and shiny, and I only had to run my fingers through it in the morning to revive my style, a very happy customer 😀 Am very impressed by the ability to save personal settings through the Bluetooth technology on this appliance😀 I need more practice with producing long lasting curls, but am very happy with the results so far. Having used the appliance a few times now, I’m loving using all of the attachments. The barrel brush gives so much volume and then I can straighten and smooth the finish for a glossy sleeker style. Or I add some curls for a night out using the blue tooth technology allowing my chosen heat, strength of the airflow and time for each curl - simple!! Great tutorials on the app that you can view while styling too. Overall a very happy customer and I would recommend to others who have similar hair-straight to wavy. My hair is also pretty thick and I found the style stayed in for a few days.

title: Save personal settings through Bluetooth technology
detailedReviews 29: content: I love that Dyson created an Airwrap device with the ability to save curl patterns via the app. This makes it so convenient when you like the way your hair turns out but you don’t necessarily remember what you did to achieve it, just save the curling patterns with the Dyson app and you’re good! I have 2B wavy hair that is not 100% curly but also not straight. The Dyson Airwrap i.d. does a great job of creating a beautiful blowout, simply removing frizz, quickly drying hair, or creating bombshell curls without heat damage. Dyson’s dedication to minimizing heat damage is something that’s very important to me and something I like to take into account when I use a new hair tool. I also like that it comes with a carrying case that has a phone stand attached to the lid, so you can open it, prop up your phone against the phone stand, and watch hair tutorials or video call a friend while you do your hair! It’s super convenient. I love this new addition to the Dyson Airwrap series and I’m so excited to continue using it!

detailedReviews 30: content: I love my airwrap. I find it's much less damaging than other blow dryers and it allows me to avoid hot tools on most days. However, mine stopped working just weeks after the warranty was up (would shut off automatically even after filter cleaning). Dyson insisted nothing could be done. I watched a lot of videos walking me through removing the bottom piece for cleaning, but this didn't work either. Finally, I found a tiktok (by @snarky_rob, search username with "dyson airwrap" — Sephora doesn't allow outside URLs in reviews) which showed me how to fix it. I needed to go one step deeper to remove hair caught deep within the bottom section. Now it works again. This is an amazing product but it does seem like Dyson is withholding info about the inevitable deep clean needed in order to get you to buy another — it might invalidate your warranty if you open the bottom up yourself, so if it malfunctions within the warranty period, I'd ask them to send another. But if your warranty is up and you have nothing to lose, try this!

detailedReviews 31: content: I have been using the Dyson Airwrap styler for years so I was so excited to try Dyson’s new Airwrap I.d. Multi-Styler and Dryer for straight and wavy hair. I have medium length wavy and frizzy hair so these new attachments are perfect for me. I start off using the blow dry attachment to roughly dry my hair, then I use the round brush to create the style I want, and to finish off the look, I use the smoothing tool to get rid of any flyaways. These attachments make it so easy to create an everyday blowout look without heat damage. I also love using the curling tools to create both tighter and looser curls/waves. Having two different size curling attachments makes it so easy to create different looks. The Dyson has really saved my hair. I used to get terrible split ends and damaged hair from other hair tools, but since using the Dyson, my hair has been healthier than ever. My hairstylist has even noticed and commented on how much better my hair has looked. I love this tool and would recommend it to anyone. This was gifted by dysonhair but all opinions are my own.

title: New attachments perfect for wavy frizzy hair
detailedReviews 32: content: I've had my Airwrap ID for about six weeks now and I am absolutely in love with it! There's a bit of a learning curve. At first, I only used the round brush (I've been using the John Frieda hot air brush for years, and this attachment is similar) followed by the long barrel. Then I watched some tutorials and started drying to 80% dry with the fast dryer followed by the long barrel, which gave me much better results. I only just set up the ID feature a week or so ago and I don't know what took me so long! Now that it knows my hair type, I just wrap up a section and let it do it's thing.
I have thin, fine hair that is a little longer than shoulder length, it's a bit wavy and can be frizzy. I wash and blow dry every day. Curling iron and hot roller curls fall out within an hour, so I never bother (don't need the extra damage since it won't hold anyway). I've always just blow dried it straight, with a c-curl at the ends.
My hair has always looked...okay. Now it looks like the hair I've always envied on other women. Shiny, bouncy, and healthy. I've gotten so many compliments since I made the switch to the Airwrap. If you're like me, and hesitant to purchase due to the cost, please don't be! It is so well worth it, you will not be sorry.

title: Hair looks shiny, bouncy, and healthy now
detailedReviews 33: content: First off, this product is specifically for someone with straight/wavy hair. There is another Airwrap.i.d. multi-styler and dryer for someone with curly/coily hair.
It took me a couple of days to figure out how to use the tool. I watched some videos to learn tips and tricks. My main issue is my muscle memory: to use a hairbrush in one hand and a dryer in the other. I had my daughter-in-law come over to “retrain” me. She has a cheap “knock-off” version, so she understood how this tool worked. She heard such great things about the Dyson Airwrap i.d. multi-styler and dryer from friends and social media that she came over on two different days to help me test out all the barrels and brushes. In the end, it was worth the time I invested in familiarizing myself—and making mistakes—with the tool. For those in the same boat as me, the more you use it, the more adept you will become.
The Dyson Airwrap i.d. multi-styler and dryer comes with:
• 2 barrels: Conical barrel, 1.6” barrel
• 2 brushes – large round volumizing brush, soft smoothing brush
• Dryer + flyaway smoother
• Fast dryer
• Filter cleaning brush
• Presentation case to store everything. You can stand your phone/app inside the top of the case.
I’ll be honest when I say I initially laughed hearing I needed to use the MyDyson app. Just about every product I have bought lately has you connect to an app; my ear buds, my baby monitor, and my iRobot vac. And not all app set-ups are really that useful. This app blew my mind. It sets up your personalized hair profile based on your hair type, length, density, style retention, styling skill level, and goals. The Airwrap i.d. creates a personalized curling sequence according to your hair profile meaning it does all the thinking and timing. That’s good, because I am such a novice at this!
I have a bob, so the dryer + flyaway smoother gave it a nice look without the static effect that I tend to get in the winter. The three airflow speeds and 3 heat settings gave me plenty of choices when drying my hair. Because my hair is shorter, I kept the speed and heat setting in the middle. The second time, I used the 1.6” barrel to get some light waves. The auto cool shot at the end was a nice way to hold the style and I didn’t even have to remember to use it.
My daughter-in-law came over twice to do her hair. She has long straight hair. The quick dryer allowed us to dry her hair in almost half the time it normally takes with her older hair dryer. I can imagine how helpful that will be for people with thicker hair who have been washing their hair in the evening because they don’t have enough time in the morning. The first time, we used the conical airwrap barrel to give her some attractive curls. The second time, we used the large round volumizing brush that gave her thin hair some nice lift. She finds her hair is splitting at the end and breaking off. The Airwrap i.d. dryer/multi-styler is great as it doesn’t cause heat damage.
I like the pink/rose gold color. It is a sharp looking tool. The barrels and brushes stay in place when you lock them in. The tool is comfortable in my hand and not as heavy as I was expecting. The cord didn’t get in the way as I was styling, either. I was pleased to see a two-year warranty for parts and labor.

title: App blew my mind, personalized hair profile
detailedReviews 34: content: I should start by saying that I have never managed very well with any hair dryer or styling device - nothing to do with the product itself, just my own ineptitude. The Dyson Airwrap however could definitely change my mind. I have just put it to the test and so far am very impressed - my hair looks and feels so much better than it ever has before after my feeble attempts at blow-drying or styling.
After towel-drying and smoothing on some Chi-to-san pre-style cream I used the fast dryer attachment first and followed that with the volumising brush. It took no time before my hair was dry and looking great. I had already set up the bluetooth id connection (very quick and easy) so decided to experiment with a few curls using the conical barrel which is the perfect size and shape for my fine shoulder length hair. The stored id settings did it all for me and I really loved the soft curls it gave me - just the effect I wanted to achieve but had never before managed to get.
This review is my honest opinion and I would not hesitate to recommend the Airwrap id, especially to those who, like me, are not great at DIY hairstyling!

detailedReviews 35: content: I really wanted to absolutely love this dryer, but if you have thick long hair like me, it’s not the best option. The amount of time it takes to get my hair to 80% dry is longer than my standard low cost blow dryer. The round brush attachment for the blow out does not grip well on thick hair. The flat brush attachment works better, but what’s the point of the blow out if I can’t round out the hair. But, the curling wand with the app is a complete success! While it takes me over 30 minutes to curl my hair, the ease of the app is super appealing. Now if I could get my hair to hold those curls longer than an hour, it would be wonderful. Overall, I purchased this to replace a recent purchase of some other brand that just failed miserably with drying long thick hair. If Dyson could find a way to dry the hair more quickly, then this would be a 5 star product. Unfortunately, they are not there yet.

title: Thick long hair, drying takes too long
detailedReviews 36: content: If you learn how to use it, it is just perfect. My husband bought it for our anniversary. My hair is 2c-3a and the first time, I used it like everyone said. I roughly dried my hair 80%, used soft smoothing brushing to smooth the hair, and after the curl attachment to curl my hair. Even though I never used the round volume brush, my hair ended up dry, damaged, and had a lot of breakage after a week. Then I stopped using it. I hated it so much and decided never to use it. One day I decided to try again but with another technique. First I blow-dried my hair with my hair dryer with wide teeth comb attachment (I have Dyson supersonic) like I always do. After drying my hair 90-95%, I used the airwrap - curl attachment. My hair has never been better! It was smooth, shiny, and looking so so healthy. I achieved my dream hairstyle. I also had no problem with the longevity of the hairstyle since I have textured hair. That is why I am giving it 5 stars because it is a really good device if you can use it. If you don't like it, try again by using it in different ways. It took months for me to understand how to use it but now it is my must-have. I love it so much ❤️

title: Device is really good if you use it
detailedReviews 37: content: Wow! This new Airwrap i.d. is amazing! I have been using an original Airwrap for a few years and loved it, but this new device takes everything to the next level. I have straight to wavy (and sometimes frizzy) hair, which is very difficult to manage, but the Airwrap i.d. is a game changer. The hairdryer attachment is great because it dries hair ready for styling - cuts the whole process down by half. The big brush is great to smooth my type of hair and the curling attachments create lovely curls. The smoothing attachment ensured the top of my hair was smooth and frizz free. I used the Dyson Chitosan pre-styling cream and post styling cream - these worked exceptionally well with the Airwrap and helped create the curls, which stayed in place well all day (even in strong winds). I’m really impressed with the new Airwrap - definitely can’t live without it now. The icing on the cake - I’ve had loads of compliments! Well don Dyson - I can’t recommend this enough!

title: New Airwrap ID is a game changer
detailedReviews 38: content: I was incredibly excited to purchase the Dyson Airwrap and had high expectations based on the brand’s reputation. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing.
After just 5–6 months of use, my Dyson completely stopped working. I reached out to Dyson customer service and was grateful that they agreed to send a replacement. However, the replacement took over a month and arrived with a major defect: the hot brush head was loose and kept falling off during use.
Frustrated, I contacted Dyson support again and demonstrated the issue during a screen-sharing call. They asked me to send the device in for repair. After nearly two months of waiting, they returned it with the same defective hot brush head, and swapped out two other attachments for ones I don’t use — in a different color and condition that left me unsure if they were new or used.Unfortunately, the hot brush head continued to fall off exactly as before. Bad experience.

detailedReviews 39: content: The Dyson airwrap i.d. does a great job on my hair. Lightweight easy to use, easy to change attachments. I have long thin hair. I usually let it air dry. Even though it’s thin, it takes some time for it to dry. With the Dyson airwrap i.d. it took all of 10 minutes to get my hair almost dry. While still a little damp I was able to use the soft smoothing brush to finish with a bit of a flip under in the front. Just for fun I used the barrel to add a bit of a swirl curl. It came out pretty good! What I really love about the dyson airwrap i.d. is the flyaway smoother. Because my hair is thin I tend to get a lot of flyaways. The flyaway smoother not only stopped smoothed my hair, it added a shine that was just gorgeous. I can see myself using this feature daily after work before heading out for any evening activities.
It comes in a lovely box that can certainly be kept and used for storage…if you have room. As I have limited space I’ll be looking for a soft sided case to store the airwrap and accessories in. Looks like you can order a travel case on the dyson website. Other accessories like a diffuser attachment can also be ordered. And of course there is an app. The underside of the lid has a spot to hold the phone while you are working on your hair. Nice feature, if you have room to keep the box to store the airwrap in.
One thing to think about, the plug in is designed to go up/down when plugged in, not left/right. It is only about 2” and it doesn’t seem like it would be an issue. For me, the tile goes up the wall almost to the outlet so it was a bit tricky to plug in. Still five stars for the quick dry and gorgeous shine.

detailedReviews 40: content: I love the attachment that I know how to use, so I give it 4 stars for the reason that to get the training videos on how to do use the rest of the attachments was too hard to get through. Honestly, Dyson, I’ve just spent $1000, do not make me enter my email address a number of times just to understand how to use the product. All education should be free and easily available. Now I’ve had the product for six months and I still only use the one attachment. Would I buy it again? No, because in my perspective, I do not see the value with one attachment.
Who knows if Dyson reads this. Honestly I am the biggest brand lover. I buy everything that Dyson releases and I close my eyes at the price tag because I believe in the engineering. Now that they’ve commoditised simply learning how to use the products my view has completely soured.
Signed, Ex- lover-biggest-brand-ambassador.

detailedReviews 41: content: I’ve been using the original Dyson Airwrap for several years now, so I was ecstatic to hear that the next generation Airwrap i.d. had arrived. The standout feature of the Airwrap i.d. is the ability to automate and personalise your curls via the Bluetooth-enabled Dyson app. It took me less than 5 minutes to pair the Airwrap i.d. to my phone and to set up my hair profile through the clear and easy-to-follow instructions. I then excitedly tested the i.d. curl function with the new 20 mm conical barrel and the results blew me away! It was so simple to use; just a quick switch to the i.d. curl button started the automatic process of wrapping (8 seconds), styling (7 seconds) and cooling (5 seconds) with the progress being displayed on the app. No more counting, no more second guessing, no more painful switching of buttons. Perfect curls in half the time! A game changer! Do follow the tips and tutorials from Dyson though. It is recommended that you leave the Airwrap i.d. on in between curls (it adjusts to a cool reduced airflow). This took me a while to familiarise but it is to ensure you remain connected to the app so you can transition seamlessly between curls.
The Airwrap i.d. is more than a hair curling tool; it is a highly versatile multi-styler and dryer. The package I received came with 6 attachments, some of which are new or have been re-engineered in recent years. To help you master your look, the Dyson app features a variety of styling guides (44 at last count!), whether it be beach waves, voluminous curls or sleeky and straight. With such a vast array of styles in the app, an option that I would like to see would be the ability to filter the styles by the type of attachment or hair profile.
Dyson really has given a lot of thought to the design and functionality of the Airwrap i.d. all the way down to the presentation case. The lid doubles as an attachments/accessories tray and there is a holder for you to place your phone. For storage of the attachments and ease of access, I put my Tetris skills to the test. First, I removed all the cardboard packaging and dividers except for one slim cardboard box which I used as a stand in the middle compartment for the two shorter attachments. I then stacked both the long barrels horizontally in between the gap. Voila! I can now store the case away with the lid closed.
Overall, Dyson has proven once again that they are at the forefront of innovation. They have listened to their customers’ feedback and improved on what was already a superb Airwrap. They really have taken the Airwrap i.d. to the next level with personalised styling and automation. In my opinion, the Airwrap i.d. is worth the investment for both new users and those wishing to upgrade.

detailedReviews 42: content: I was bought this expensive hair dryer/styler for my birthday earlier this month, but have been very underwhelmed by the performance of the styling tool attachments, particularly the barrel and curling tool attachments. Using the pre-programmed settings to create curls, I was disappointed to find that by the time I’d dried my hair, the curls had already started to fall out, with my hair being back to completely straight in about 30 minutes. This is an expensive gimmick and you would be much better off using a normal hairdryer and curling iron if you want curls that last the day. I contacted the retailer as the device was still within the 30 day purchase window and requested a refund, quoting the Consumer Rights Act. I am delighted to say that they agreed to refund the full amount on the return of the device. My advice would be that if you experience a similar issue to contact your retailer as soon as possible and to understand your rights when returning products which do not perform satisfactorily or as described.

detailedReviews 43: content: My sister purchased the Dyson supersonic hair dryer about 6 months before I saw this multi-styler. So, I knew that it was exceptional hair dryer that really can protect & improve your hair. So, despite it being (gulp) expensive, I ordered it. And, I haven't regretted it for a minute! I have always struggled to actually "do" anything with my hair on a day-to-day basis. I have medium thick hair that is past my shoulders. Doing anything other than a clip or ponytail took too long to be part of my daily routine. Also, unless I was straightening it, I rarely got the results I wanted. NOT WITH THIS TOOL! I can dry my hair to 80-85% in 5 minutes & then use the round brush & large barrel curler attachments. It is super easy & I love how I look! My hair feels great & I'm ready in about 15 minutes total. I've received so many unsolicited compliments on how healthy and "pretty" my everyday-hair looks from family, friends & co-workers.

detailedReviews 44: content: This is my first Dyson and I am absolutely in love! The color is so beautiful and it has all the attachments I need. I have long fine hair and I try not to use too many hair tools because of the heat, but Dyson feels so much different! Even the highest heat setting is not as hot as my other hair tools and they really appreciate that. I used the hairdryer attachment and my hair was left feeling super soft, silky and looked perfect for three days. The curling attachment was easy to use, but there is some learning curve because I don’t curl my hair often. However, it worked quickly and gave that beautiful curls. I also love that it comes with a box and makes storing super easy. However, I find the whole box to be on the heavy side, so I would not take it when traveling, but instead pack the Dyson and individual attachments separately.

detailedReviews 45: content: l absolutely love the Dyson Airwrap id! I have fine hair but lots of it. I’m so inept at styling my hair, I can’t even manage to plait it. But with this, I can actually curl my hair! I don’t section it properly because as I said, I’m inept. But I try my best and my hair looks lovely! The curls seem to hold for a couple of days, so with a little dry shampoo, I can go longer between washing it. The smoothing brush makes my hair straighter and less frizzy but not flat so that’s another bonus. It seems quite lightweight so I don’t have any problems with holding it. I also love the app, I filled in my hair profile so when I curl my hair, the Dyson does it all for me. The box it comes in is really nice, I keep it all in there on my dressing table. The lid has a little lip in it for resting your phone on whilst doing your hair, so really convenient! I love having it and don’t regret the cost at all!

detailedReviews 46: content: I think that the new dyson air wrap is amazing! I find the longer barrels much easier to use even on shorter hair. The air is super strong and my hair is holding much better than it has on the original airwrap. I did find the app integration a little bit difficult to figure out initially, and it is a bit harder to use than the regular air wrap, however you can still use it normally. You are only able to use the app with the curling barrels which was a bit strange to me given you can "curl" or do a blow out using the barrel brush. The 'cold shot' doesn't work like the previous versions where you just push the button up temporarily which is a bit different. Personally, I would love to see the air being turned off while the airwrap is connected to bluetooth - you can only connect your phone when air is blowing which is a bit annoying.

detailedReviews 47: content: I have received the airwrap couple days ago, it's design is so elegant and the way the accessories manipulate the airflow to wrap around the side of them or the other is a complete marvel. I have long hair, wavy / straight and the product exceeded my expectations. I use it everyday, it's relatively silent, definitely more than other hair dryers and especially if you need to do your hair fast in the morning and dont want to wake up the whole neighbourhood, I love it. Furthermore, the accessories come in very handy for anything I may try to do whether it is curls, straightening, blow out or just the classic quick drying of my hair. The performance is precise and in combination with the app that tailors the length of each cycle and moves between the cycle without the need of my input is incredible. I can just enjoy the possibilities of the product to the maximum. Greatly recommended!

detailedReviews 48: content: I was asked to try this machine a week ago. At first glance it is similar to other models. It comes with 6 attachments and I particularly like that the dryer comes as a separate item rather than incorporated in the smoothing drum.
The main feature of this machine is its ability to connect to a phone and enable the curling programme. With a barrel on the styler (note this only works using a barrel) and a push of a button it will wrap, heat and cool down the hair into a lovely curl. All of the preset settings are customisable. I really liked feature as I have short fine hair.
I must confess the pairing procedure was somewhat confusing. In the end I started again, re-installed the app and all worked well. Some clarification of the instructions would be helpful.

detailedReviews 49: content: I am really impressed with my Dyson air wrap. However, my hair is short, and comes only to my shoulders. When I try to use the smallest curler, I have e to wrap my hair around it in order for the fryer to curl it. In addition, I am having trouble programming it to curl my fine hair so the curl lasts. I’m thinking I may need a smaller barrel or curler. (I’m not using the correct name for the curling tool.).
However, I love the other attachments and the way the motor works. I think it is extremely efficient and dries hair very quickly. It’s fairly quiet but I do find the chord a bit long and hard to deal with. It also leaves my hair really shiny. I’ve only had it for about a month so I don’t know how it will affect the long term condition of my hair. However, because it has a heat control it Should protect my hair from damage.

I was bought this Airwrap as I’d been researching how versatile it could be. I had my doubts (being a hairdresser) but I have to say it’s marvellous. Very easy to use and quick at drying. The only thing @Dyson should include is a medium sized brush. The brush that comes with it is for long hair but if your like me with shoulder length hair you need a medium brush. I do have a disclaimer to make: I have fairly long very fine straight hair which usually doesn’t like keeping shape. However I was under the impression that the Dyson works in pretty much any type of hair, including fine. I’ve tried using the Dyson product… kind of works but also not really - it didn’t give long lasting results as advertised. The standout feature is the smart app, no more holding down the cold shot button - everything is automated. I love that they brought back the fast dryer attachment from the first generation, the attachments are now much more streamlined, with the redundant ones replaced. I find myself using most of the attachments, unlike before when I only used a few. It is one hair tool I can’t live without. detailedReviews 54: content: So in love with the new Dyson Airwrap i.d. I do have the original Airwrap multistyler however the new attachments are just what I needed; the conical curling barrel is perfect for creating “Victoria Secret” waves and the personalisation on the app means I get to set it all up the way I like and it’s ready to go. I usually use the dryer attachment after the shower and then use the smoothing brush to straighten and remove frizz as I have quite long bleached, frizzy, unruly hair and then I go in with the curling barrel to achieve the long, loose waves I love. Although the Airwrap can seem pricey at first it does actually save you time and money by being able to achieve salon quality (or better) results at home! The beautiful pink colour is so luxe too. I highly recommend the new Airwrap i.d and definitely all the new attachments too!

detailedReviews 55: content: I bought this because I was out of town and my Airwrap died after many years. Two stores I went to did not have the regular Airwrap so I had to buy the Airwrap i.d. I am not a fan. I liked the cool down button & will never use the Bluetooth option. I did set it up just to see what it did, but I want to control my hair drying, not set up a program to do it. Also, the container is not nearly as good as the original. I liked being able to flip open the lid, & I feel that this is not as well made. I considered returning it to get the older option but decided it was just too much trouble. The smoother is nice, but I just turn the heat switch to cool when I want to cool down the curl. Not all improvements are actually improvements. Certainly wouldn't buy it again unless there was no other option - again.

detailedReviews 56: content: Wow, what an amazing product - I literally could not live without this air wrap. It’s so easy to set up on the app and use and much lighter to hold that expected. I have little patience in styling my hair but this makes it so easy and within 5 mins I have a lovely bouncy blow dry or beach waves, my curls stay in for a couple of days. The flyaway attachment is unreal and gives me poker straight hair. I would definitely recommend the id air wrap as it takes away the guess work- I thought I would need to have my phone next to the air wrap each time I use it, but no - it literally remembers my hair type and switches between hot and cold to suit my hair type. This ensures you get the perfect stay put curls. I know it’s an expensive purchase but I would not hesitate to recommend.

detailedReviews 57: content: I purchased the Dyson Airwrap ID with hopes of in having a high end hair styling tool it would come with great results! I’ve got slightly curly hair and was hoping for smoother less frizzy results. I’ve watched numerous hair tutorials and use defrizz products but I’m unable to get smooth hair. Prior to this I was using an oval brush hairdryer, (Shark) that I now still find myself using that more often still as the results are better. Frustrated because I spent so much money on this and should have reached out sooner as I’ve had the Dyson now for almost 3 months in hopes that I’d learn to like it or figure out a way to get better results!
Disappointed with this pricey purchase I really wanted to love it and have really tried to love it!! Maybe I just bought the wrong Dyson for my hair?!

detailedReviews 58: content: I received my new Dyson Airwrap I.D. about 2 weeks ago and have used it three times to dry and style my medium length thick hair. I am loving how quick the drying function is as well as the versatility of this product. I have used it to style a blow out, straighten and create volume and curls/waves - I have loved the results so far. Much less frizz from using my previous hair dryer and the ability to change attachments quickly to style is impressive. While the cost is a factor, the options available makes cost per use lower. Dyson also provide great app resources / online tutorials to help learn how to best use their technology. I'm a fan!

I used to dread hair wash day, because of how long the process of drying and styling my hair used to be, by the airwrap has cut that into a quarter of the time. I recommend this tool to literally everyone i know now because of how life changing it has been. I have noticed a HUGE difference in the health of my hair as well from not using multiple heat styling tools and damaging products. I especially love the curling options that allow me to curl with ONE HAND with ease and not stretch and hold till your arms feel like they will fall off 😭 This truly makes doing cute hairstyles fun and easy and I cannot express how much better it is then anything else i have EVER tried!

detailedReviews 60: content: I bought this at the Anniversary Sale price. Then I was at Costco and saw a package with more items for same price. So I bought that. When I got home I realized they each have some different attachments. Upon further reading, the Airwrap is not exactly the same as the Airwrap id. I'm not sure which one to keep and which one to return... I have always blow-dried my hair straight and for the last 10 years have been using the DryBar roller brush and brush iron. The Dyson Airwrap seems to have a steep learning curve for the attachments so I'm not even sure if it will make much more of a difference than the Drybar devices. My hair is curly/frizzy and I prefer to style it to smooth/straight, but it's always a little wavy and frizzy.

My Dyson Airwrap i.d. does the lot for me with much less heat damage to my hair, whether I'm curling, adding soft waves, straightening, or drying . My favourite accessory would be the fly-away attachment as I have fine bleached hair. The fly-away attachment gives my hair a really smooth look. The app connects to your phone via blue tooth just add in your details and turn on and you get step by step instructions and timers to allow you to achieve the perfect curl which is suitable for your particular hair type. I purchased the strawberry bronze / blush pink edition and its simply gorgeous. I highly recommend.

The dyson airwrap i.d it’s brilliant and i can say now that you can set your own sequences for how long to wrap, how long heat and how long to cool your curls it’s brilliant! I had all airwrap versions and none of them disappointed me in those years! I use the i.d function for the curls and they do last longer and also i use this function with the large round brush just because i like to experiment with it. We all know how annoying was to count the seconds on hot air and then on cold mode 🥹. We just loose the patience…. This is the best version so far! And the conical barrel itself it’s a masterpiece!

Not only was this a lot more powerful but the new I.d. Feature made curling my hair easier, quicker and helped the style last longer, my hair doesn’t normally hold styles very well.
The airwrap box in has a phone stand you can you easily rest your phone and watch the I.d. Curl wrap feature but also makes it easier if you are watching one of their style videos in the app. Thinking about the small things like this helps in making it an amazing product.

detailedReviews 65: content: Yet to use the ID curl feature however my hair was dried virtually straight & stayed that way for days only needed to run a straightener over it where as normally it takes me hours to fully straighten my hair as it’s so long & wavy therefore this alone was very impressive.
Waiting to use the curling feature at the end of the month when me & my Bestie go away….
Hair felt soft & no heat damage noted at all!! The bristle brush feels a little static & not very moveable but have yet to use it however the brush used to brush through whilst drying very good…
It would have been nice for the value to have the tree curling barrels included & perhaps Dyson need to consider adding in some sample sizes of the styling creams they have developed as this may encourage people to buy them which on top of the cost of the unit adds up!! Come on Dyson play fair with your customers

When asked to try the new New Dyson Airwrap i.d multi-styler and dryer Straight+Wavy (Vinca Blue/Topaz) for my long hair I was extremely impressed. The new blow dry attachment is excellent and the conical Airwrap barrel creates far better curls/waves compared to the 30mm Airwrap long barrel I had been using. I use it with the Dyson Chitosan Pre-style cream and the curls last all day. Before using the Dyson Airwrap I used to straighten my hair everyday. Since using the Dyson Airwrap my hair is in much better condition. I can highly recommend this product.

I wanted one for so long but didn’t wanna spend the money on it… I am glad I ended up buying! The ID function isn’t essential but very helpful and convenient. I can’t curl my hair to save my life and if I do it takes over an hour. Now I can confidently shower in the morning and do my hair all in under 30 minutes. Took a few tries to get use to but you can tell like the curling barely has arrows, if you want the curl to face away, change the direction of the arrow to away. Literally so simple and easy to throw a few curls in and call it a day. Love this thing.

detailedReviews 68: content: The drying attachment is good. Round brush leaves my hair really frizzy, which is surprising as my hair is naturally pin straight with no frizz whatsoever. It doesn’t hold curls and I’ve tried so many things. My hair holds holds curls and waves with heat with no products or pinning. I’ve tried mousse, sprays, hairspray, pinning for an hour, not pinning… nothing works. My 1* review is because for £479 I shouldn’t have to work this hard and the return process is so hard. It’s like they use a stalling method to deter you from getting your money back. Wouldn’t recommend buying this from Dyson directly if you want to give it a shot.

detailedReviews 69: content: I got this a couple of weeks ago so I have not yet managed to get all the styles right, especially the curls take some practice I think, but this hairdryer is already a game changer. The usual time it takes to dry my relatively thick hair has been cut four/five folds. The simplest sleek straight look takes basically 5 minutes- literally not figuratively. And it looks like a hairdresser did it. And all looks, even my less than perfect curls hold longer than anything I’ve ever tried before. I use the same heat protection styling cream but I can wear the hair two, sometimes three days without it liking creased and in need of styling again. I am a total convert

detailedReviews 71: content: I am not in love with this as much as I thought I would have been. I love my Dyson blowdryer and thought it would be nice to have everything in one tool. My hair holds curl really well due to it being naturally wavy and it does not hold with either curling rods. I have tried it dry and damp and it just falls out. Plus it is still putting heat on my hair so there really is no difference I feel in a curling iron heat and the air wrap. It’s nice to have everything in one but the curling part is not worth the price. I ended up returning it. Other than that it is nicely made as Dyson products are known for. I wish I would have liked it more.

detailedReviews 72: content: I have fine, thin shoulder length hair. I was assured by the guy in the store that it would work for me. I bought this in the Union Square store in San Francisco.
The power on the lowest setting is too high, it kept blowing my hair everywhere, constantly knotted it up, and every time I put a curl in, the airflow from the next curl would blow my previous curl straight out.
It also kept roughing up the cuticle of the hair. My hair felt rougher and frizzier every time I used it.
If you have super long, thick hair, it would be great. Anyone else, forget it.

I have been using Instyler rotating iron for years, but they changed it! It doesn’t work for me anymore. So I purchased the Dyson yay! It’s like magic. Pros, I love the ID features where it saves your settings, I don't even have to count or think about moving the buttons to cool shot. I also really like the new attachments of the cone barrel & the larger round brush. Cons, a couple of the attachments like the round brush and the smoothing don't snap on and stay on like my old airwrap did. I realized that it was beautifully packaged and worth all the hype, but as I was using The Curling tooleven with little pieces of my hair, it made the noises, but there was no suction I thought that perhaps my hair was too long so I started doing smaller pieces and on and on until the air wrap curling function wasn’t working for me even though it didn’t work for me I gave it a three stars because the packaging was beautiful and my hair while using the other attachments did feel nice and it was much easier than buying six separate attachments, but for the cost and it not working on the first day, it made me too nervous to keep It I’m also giving it a three out of five because I’m not sure if it just wasn’t compatible with my hair Or that it was defective All in all, I returned it because if the first day I Receive my package and it Was losing function what was the point of getting the Dyson in the first place? I bought it specifically for the curling feature. Maybe it’s not strong enough to curl hair that long as I was doing months of research I thought I weigh out the pros and cons, but this might be something to consider when buying.

I am still learning how to use it and learning every time, it is not as easy as all these videos. Not sure yet, my opinion is divided 50/50, the dryer is great, curls don't stay too long unless I spray it and the cool shot is not available only if you use an app. But it is a bit strange that to use app settings you have to have your app open every time, so not that convenient...
Dyson always been number one for me and I will keep learning, my recommendation is to buy an older model with a cool shot.

detailedReviews 89: content: I bought my Dyson about two weeks ago and experienced difficulties with connecting it to the app so I spoke to a Dyson expert on the live chat who quickly resolved my problem by exchanging my Dyson for another one. I was disheartened that the first one didn’t work how it should’ve BUT now that I have a fully working one I can say I am obsessed. It’s now the only tool I use on my hair and the curls last until every hair wash day. I don’t straighten or use curlers on my hair I only use my Dyson now and I don’t know what I’d do without it. It dries and styles hair so quickly. If your thinking of buying this Dyson definitely do!

detailedReviews 90: content: After using the Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler for a month, I'm thoroughly impressed with its performance. The ceramic pink/rose gold design is not only beautiful but functional. The multiple attachments allow for various styling options, from sleek straight looks to bouncy waves. The intelligent heat control prevents damage to my hair, and I've noticed significantly less frizz. While the price point is high, the versatility and quality make it a worthwhile investment for those serious about hair styling.

detailedReviews 91: content: Incredibly disappointed with the Dyson ID airwrap. During my first use the blow dryer stopped working after 2 mins. I had to return it because I was never able to fully use it. After a few weeks I received my replacement. I was hopeful as I was able to use the airwrap for a few weeks. I turned the power off on the airwrap and that was the last time I was able to use it as it would not turn back on. So having two airwrap within 30 days that both broke has led to my disappointment with Dyson. This should not happen for the price that I paid for the airwrap.

detailedReviews 92: content: I have a Dyson and so do my daughters. I don't like the case. It needs to be designed better. The spacing is off and isn't enough. I bought additional attachments and can barely fit what came in the box back in the box. The inside of the box is black and the products are dark too. There is no contrast, making the pieces hard to find. The lid on the case isn't great either. The lid should securely snap on and there should be some type of handle for carrying the whole product.

detailedReviews 93: content: This airwrap is amazing! The app tells me when to stop curling and provides how to videos. I love how I can have the curling iron switch with just the click of a button from right side to left side. I have less frizz and my hair isn't getting damaged from heat. The attachments are designed to easily attach and be removed. The air flow and heat have three setting. It is just what I needed. I don't ever buy anything for myself and I am so glad I bought this. So worth the money!!

detailedReviews 94: content: The Dyson Airwrap I.d. was on my Christmas list.
I absolutely love it! It is everything I needed in a hairdryer and a curling iron. It comes with lots of attachments and cleaning brush. My hair is long/ very long, wavy, baylaige lightened and despite styling always looked dry and coarse. Now everyone compliments me on how shiny and healthy my hair looks! I’m over the moon, can’t imagine life without my Dyson air wrap.

detailedReviews 95: content: Bought this a few weeks ago to try and freshen up my routine and minimise heat damage but it has singed my hair multiple times now and doesn’t style my hair at all. I’ve watched all the videos on the Dyson site but no matter how I try I’m unable to get a curl that looks good or lasts more than 10 minutes, the dryer attachment leaves my hair in knots And their own brush is visibly breaking my hair off unless I use it on the medium to cool setting. I don’t think I’ve ever been for disappointed in a product and am hoping to get a refund. I’d feel too guilty to sell it on! It’s that bad!

title: Singed hair, curls don't last, frustrating
detailedReviews 96: content: I bought it a few weeks ago but to date have found it very difficult to handle as it is quite heavy. I am quite cincerned about how hot it is and that it doesn't educe heat when it is ckose to your skin which is what I expected as I hav thin hair and explained to the sales person 'i need Aa hairdtier that was not as hot as the brands our there as I find the are always ver hot and cause my hair to breake she assured me thatit was the only hair that had such a low heat that turned down automatically when near your scalp it doesn't do this plus I find there are a lot of attachments which are very large and hard to get the hang of. I have watched the videoa online and tried to do what they have done but it is too heavy and clumsey and certainly need quite a lot of time availabel daily to do your hair. Took it to my hairdressers and she also felt it was heavy and said it wouldn't appeal to her either as you need to operate it with two hands The other thing is that this model seems to be for those with long hair and plenty of time daily to style your hair Not much information or instructions all developed for Utube online operating instructions

detailedReviews 97: content: Literally and figuratively blown away! First off, my hair takes forever to dry, but their innovative technology made the experience much quicker and less dreadful. This left me with little to no frizz. I tried their curling attachments tonight and am so impressed. My stubborn Asian hair cannot hold a curl, especially without hairspray, but my curls have held up so well. I think it has to do with the dry while styling technology. Gifted by DysonHair for my honest review and 10/10 recommend.

detailedReviews 98: content: Very frustrated!!
I bought this product and they sent me a brush that does not fit the appliance. I contacted Dyson twice and the brush is Out of Stock, they asked me to wait and I have been waiting for weeks with no resolution. Everyday when I try to dry my hair the brush keeps falling and falling! Something that should make me happy and only making me stressed!
Instead of replacing the product, they just ask me to wait for a day the brush will be in stock again, but nobody knows when it will happen! Why should I wait if the mistake of sending the wrong accessory for the product was done by Dyson?

detailedReviews 99: content: The new Dyson airwap ID simplifies hair styling. As someone who doesn't like to take a long time to get ready I can have a full volume head of bouncy curls that last within 15 minutes or less.
Having straight / slightly wavy fine hair usually means that curls don't last too long, but the new Bluetooth system ensures styling for the right amount of time , changing the temperature to ensure the curls hold. I can wake up the next day with curls still bouncing!
Lots of comments on my hair and even my teenage son has asked me if I'd been to the hairdressers!

detailedReviews 100: content: I found the airwrapid difficult to use. After calling customer service re the device, I was told the one I purchased did not have the automatic cold shot. That I had to do it manually. This was difficult to accomplish. None of the “preset times for heat and cold” activated. Nowhere, when I purchased it online, was I informed of any different models, some with automatic time settings vs manual. In addition, I found it beyond my capabilities. I returned it to Best Buy for a refund.
