- Screen size and performance is perfect. The size of this screen is ideal for 1080p and the 4060 works great for playing high settings. I appreciate the 144 hz G-Sync compatible screen and playing even at 60 fps feels smooth.
- Lenovo Vantage software is okay and the MUX switch with Nvidia is useful. So far no issues with the software and I do not feel like it's heavy in bloatware.
- Balance fan speed works enough for me. I also make sure to set FPS limits and utilize DLSS to minimize GPU through put and it helps with the noise.
- (3) USB ports and the ethernet port are great.
- There was a spare M.2 NVME 2280 port with spare screw. I easily slipped in a 2 TB NVME with a single side of memory and it worked.
- Clean look!
Cons:
- Would have liked a left-side USB port. Not a big deal.
- The integrated graphics is causing occasional stuttering. Needs a restart or turning off the hybrid graphics.
- I'm not a fan of the copilot button. I have it setup to open the Game Bar, which helps with volume control. But I would have liked my right Ctrl key for shortcuts.
- It might be a Win11 issue, but changing volume using the Fn keys results in noticable lag in the game. I have to make sure I'm paused before changing volumes. Alternatively the game bar works here.

Only negative I can think of is it's a little noisy if you are used to standard non gaming laptops. Nothing that bothered me while gaming. Also the touchpad is not great so a wireless mouse is a good shout.
If all you want is the raw CPU and GPU power and don't care about flashing lights, alien heads and other fancy design touches, give this a look.

I am able to play many games on ultra settings with 140 frames easily due to the 4060 and 13th gen i7. However one thing I found is that it has a loud fan when playing. To minimise this I will game with the laptop on quiet mode to help minimise fan noise and this does not seem to effect performance at all. Another thing I was disappointed about is that the keyboard is not RGB as shown in the photos but has a white back light. Overall definitely a worthwhile upgrade for me and I would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for a laptop that can handle the toughest of games on high settings for a low price

Pros:
- Runs fine, but more demanding games may require lower settings to run smoothly.
- Upgradeability: Easy to access back cover and additional SSD & RAM slots.
- Overall build quality seems good. Keyboard and screen hinge are firm. Not too many parts that are susceptible to breaking easily.
- Lenovo Vantage software is easy to use, and you can manage hardware settings, driver updates, and warranty details through it.
Cons:
- Battery runs low very quickly. This is typical for gaming laptops, but keep that in mind if you plan to use this unplugged for more than 3-4 hours.
- I've noticed the GPU stutters a bit when running more demanding games (Novabench benchmark app confirmed a consistent stutter and below-baseline CPU performance). This might just be an issue with my laptop specifically, or it could be an overall build quality issue with lower-end gaming laptops such as this.
- The fans briefly start loudly and stop when the computer is idle or doing minor tasks (browsing, excel work, etc.). Again, not sure if this is a widespread issue or just an issue with my laptop. Solved problem with custom fan settings in Lenovo Vantage, but it seems like sweeping the problem under the rug.
- Minor preference thing: there are no ports on the left side of the laptop. I wish there were some USB A& C ports there, since my desk is set up to where I can only sit on the left side of it. There are some ports on the back, but its in front of the fan exhaust.
Overall I haven't had too bad of an experience with this laptop, but looking back, I probably should have just purchased a tower unit, since the performance/$ & upgradeablity would probably be better, which isn't really a good tradeoff for the portability of a laptop.

I've watched it connected with 3/4 signal to my home wifi and report 4x the ping and 10% of the upload/download speed of my phone, 6 feet away. I tried replacing the wifi card; no change. This is the only device in my house that doesn't agree with our wifi network, and it refuses to change. Doing something as simple as grabbing a Steam cloud save is a fraught, unreliable process.
It just isn't worth the hassle.
