detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I bought this laptop because it was on sale, and a good deal with a 13th gen i5 and 1TB SSD. However, I should have paid more attention to the fine print. The USB-C port is only USB-C, not Thunderbolt. I don't know how much a Thunderbolt controller would have cost extra, but it would have been worth it. I bought this to replace a 10 year old laptop I had been using for very basic music production and video streaming. Windows 11 doesn't work with my audio mixer the way Windows 10 did (without special drivers). Connecting the USB-C to a WD-19 dock provides a couple extra USB ports, but not enough. The other Dell docks are all Thunderbolt and will not work with this model. The lack of Thunderbolt really limits how this computer can expand and become part of a better system. That said, it is thin and light and easy to transport. For your average user, this is an OK laptop.

detailedReviews 2: content: very nice looking, fast laptop. I use this mostly for business documents, Word and Excel. It's a beautiful laptop, thin with a great screen. Some of the features I appreciate: an ethernet port, fingerprint reader, charging from either the barrel power port or the USB-C port, and the ability to run a monitor from the USB-C port. With the slim form factor, I can fit the Vostro and a portable 15" USB-C monitor in my 1.5 inch laptop bag. It's a powerful combo when you're editing documents or manipulating Excel spreadsheets. What I don't like: my backspace key sticks. I'm hoping it loosens up with use, but out of the box, the backspace key isn't as easy to actuate as the other keys on the otherwise great keyboard. Good purchase.

detailedReviews 3: content: The trackpad is very sensitive, my old laptop had button on the pad so I my finger was always touching and placed on the left button. With this laptop, since there is no button, the finger from the left hand touching the pad affect the right finger moving. Unwanted press etc.. It would be really good to have a settings to disable the pad in the bottom area to leave it only for pressing right and left button. In my case, I work with screens and my laptop lid is always down. I tend to put paperwork or other light stuff on top of the computer. Therefore when I want to turn on, I have to remove all of it to open the lid and press then power button. On some computer the press button is external on the side, it would be nice in my case to have this. There might be a way to turn on the laptop with keyboard? but need to set the USB to stay in standby etc? I dont know how to do that.

detailedReviews 4: content: Earlier i bought a Dell laptop in 2011 Inspiron 7520, And after using that machine for almost 14 years without any problem. Now i purchased my 2nd dell laptop Vostro 3530. And after recieving i checked it. and it works perfectly without any error. All softawares are preinstalled and works fine. I also tried to play GTA 5 game on it. And it runs smoothly in Low graphic setting. Go for it without any doubt.

detailedReviews 5: content: After some initial teething issues (occasional unexplained non-responsiveness for a minute or so), all seems to have settled down nicely. I'm guessing some updates have happened behind the scenes that have fixed this as I haven't seen this problem for a few weeks and I've probably been using the computer more than previously. The machine is very quiet, I barely ever hear the fan ... though I'm mostly doing home-office type work and no gaming or video editing that would push the machine rather harder. Perhaps the screen is a little lack-lustre, but it's more than adequate. I like the metal finish ... but wish I'd gone for the version with the back-lit keyboard as I find it gives useful feedback as to what the system is doing around power-on and power-off events.

detailedReviews 6: content: I bought this laptop solely for regular office calls, not for running heavy software. Unfortunately, the laptop is extremely slow, making it difficult to operate efficiently. It's challenging to work comfortably with such sluggish performance. This is my third Dell laptop purchase in the past decade, and it's the first model that has truly disappointed me.

detailedReviews 7: content: I bought this laptop on December 27, 2023. I needed to call Dell Support twice and today is January 12. The settings would not allow me to hear while on a Zoom meeting and the settings would not allow me to use a second monitor. The first issue needed to be resolved by Dell Support. The second issue Dell support could not resolve. I had to trouble shoot and fix it myself. Then the first issue occurred again and I was not able to hear on Zoom meetings or hear video. I am returning and hoping this is a one time problem with this specific laptop.

detailedReviews 8: content: The computer is fast, lightweight and delivers a great performance. However, compared to my other Vostro bought 3 years ago, it is noticeable that Dell reduced the quality of the material used to build the computer. The fan emits an absurdly high noise when using the laptop at maximum performance. Overall, the computer offers a good balance between price and quality. I would score it more if I did not have a Vostro before, and it showed me that Dell used to deliver a more robust product in the Vostro line.

detailedReviews 9: content: Very poor. looks cheap, its big and heavy compared to its last years version. We bought 3 for the office to find out that it only supports one monitor and it only supports Dells expensive adapters and not other brands!! This was not made clear when we bought it. So after an hour on the phone to Dell, was told we had to buy 3 of Dell's expensive adapters if we wanted to use 2 monitors! Each adapter is $385! We have 12 other Dell laptops and all of them support 2 monitors using other brand's adapters. Seems like Dell is trying to force people to buy their adapters but don't this known at the purchase stage. Very poor experience and I will consider other brands moving forwards.

detailedReviews 10: content: Works well but had 2 issues. First, the USB port on right side is very tight and hard to put in and take out USB devices. Second, a plastic piece inside the power input broke off and needed replacement. Finally, it has only one vent for cooling which may cause it to get overly warm under heavier load. Most have at least 2 vents. Note that we have not experienced a heat problem under the light loads that we have put it through.
