If you are on the fence about which to go with - Print version or the Illustrated version, i will suggest the illustrated version through and through.

If you don't like illustration, by all means, print version has a charm of its own ( I have both )
2. A reader of the series but not a fanatic.
If you've read the books but have no particular attachment to it, this book will probably be not quite useful for you. Unless illustrations interest you, it will be the same story.
3. The hardcore forever fanatics, who will be with the series, Always.
I don't even need to tell. This is every penny worthy kinda book. It is the kinda book i will pass onto my kids. Must have.

HP PS is a great story, but i will not go into the details.
Same fab story, new gloss. Gorgeous, gorgeous illustrations. The rate is a great factor for considering buying the illustrated version. I mean a 2 kg beautifully illustrated glossy page book at around 700-900 ? Unbelievable price for such a quality book !
The illustrations have a life of their own and are nothing like the movies or the characters in the movies. They literally come to life from the books and books alone. Petunia is blonde, Hermione has damn bushy hair, Ron has freckles, Harry is adorable !
This book has warmth. I am not exaggerating !
Jim Kay, take a bow for those gorgeous illustrations.

BUT I hate it when i get a book and its dented. Its a small dent and i may be over-reacting, but i like to wear out my books on my own terms. Almost makes me reconsider ordering online.

But talking of the packaging it was not well packaged. It came only with the regular Amazon paper package. If it is mishandled in any way it can damage the book.
One another important thing is, at the back I have found 3 price tags pasted one over another. I think it is done so according to the deals they are giving their buyers at that point of time. Though it is confusing to know what is the real price of the book but what I have paid for the book is I feel is kind of justified looking at the quality.

snippets: nina lima could have gone in a direction movie-related but they chose to do their own spin on the harry potter story what hogwarts looks like what characters look like you guys are in for a real treat because when i opened this up yesterday i saw scenes that i've never seen illustrated before characters that have never been illustrated before so there is some fun stuff in this book and as i mentioned we are going to do a full flip through but let's take a look at the front cover first, our next interactive piece and i just have to show you guys like this because it it opens up really wide but here is the book and as you can see the wall parts and splits and then when you open it up it reveals all of diagon alley is that not incredible i mean it's like a pop-up book and not a pop-up book there's so many beautiful features here fluorescent blotz is on here madame malkins i mean there is so much detail on these different shops including a look inside of gringotts i mean it absolutely beautiful beautiful beautiful artwork here gringotts and harry's very full 687 vault here are some more shops i see ollivanders flourish and bots the leaky cauldron and madame malkins and as you're seeing as i flip through the pages each page has something special on it even if it's just a little piece of decoration i mean here we have harry's hogwarts express ticket and that leads us into chapter six the journey from platform nine and three quarters which shows the hogwarts express, but see what i mean where minalima is taking their imagination and putting it into these books you would think that their imagination would be just stuffed with the film visuals but they've gone somewhere else in their brains and created a totally new harry potter world that none of us have seen before and that's one of the things i love about this is that nothing looks like it came from the movies

snippets: the pages are very glossy does become a little bit of a problem when the pages are very very dark some of the pages later on are almost entirely black and and they pick up fingerprints like no one's business it just adds a lot of flavor to to what you're reading, but it's a small price to pay you know absolutely fantastic so then there it is that's the philosopher's stone and show you the the other two very briefly the chamber of secrets here where we're waiting on the Goblet of Fire since that one's quite a lot larger as book than the previous three and so Jim Kay has said that he he just needs a little bit longer to to illustrate it so it's taking two years instead of one these have come out at a rate of one per year but it does seem reasonable that a larger book should take longer and you wouldn't want him to to rush that clearly a workers have quite a lot of love

snippets: now both of these editions are like between twenty and thirty dollars on Amazon the gym K Books and the minalima books are around between 20 and 30 dollars on Amazon so they're pretty much similar in price if uh if you're thinking of a book for a kid I would totally suggest the minolima Edition for younger readers if you're thinking of an adult maybe reading the story to someone then I would pick maybe the the Jim K Illustrated Edition now it also depends which narration would be better the British text or the American text whichever you enjoy the most that's it, now this one has very colorful illustrations it's a different style it's a more modern style in the in a sense and it also has lots of interactive elements look at this beautiful uh Interactive paper fold of Diagon Alley so they fold in and they fold out you still have you have to be very careful with these you have the letter from Hogwarts here look at this it folds out you have the list of materials you have the letter for Hogwarts and then it folds back in so it is great because it has plenty of illustrations and the interactive elements are quite fun but you have to be very very careful because it can be a little delicate now books are meant to be read and they're meant to be enjoyed just be ready to see a little bit of scuff marks if here on the book spine but otherwise they're really really fun very colorful and you can expect to find them find them in the American Edition you'll find the American grammar American vocabulary of the Harry Potter stories
