snippets: the OnePlus 13r comes with an upgraded camera setup there's a two-time zoom camera replacing the macro camera of the previous model so overall you get a 50 megap main cam with a Sony litia 700 sensor a 50 megap two times telephoto cam which lacks ois and an 8 megapixel Ultra wide camera the main camera produces nice photos during the day they have plenty of detail look sharp and have wide dynamic range the contrast is good and the colors are likable shooting and doors occasionally the phone will over sharpen details possibly due to an HDR algorithm glitch photos of people however come out very nice regardless of whether you use the portrait mode or not there's an automatic night mode which kicks in in low light conditions these shots from the main cam look pretty solid aside from the yellowish tinge they're clean and detailed and offer a wide dynamic range micro contrast also seems to be dialed up resulting in a slightly grittier look the two time zoom cameras processing is nearly identical to the main cams with great image quality and wide dynamic range the two times images are surprisingly good with even better sharpness than resolve detail the camera remains consistently good indoors too photos of people come out great as well at night the two time zoom shots again look great the 8 megapixel Ultra wide camera does not excel in image quality the photos are not very sharp overall and the dynamic range is just okay on the positive side the color saturation seems to be good at night the ultra wise photos are surprisingly good in dynamic range it's proof that a high-end ISP can help a lot even with poor camera hardware these lowl photos may not be perfect but they're far better than what we expected from an 8 megapix Ultra wide selfies come from a 16 megapix front-facing camera they're likable with Punchy colors wide dynamic range and nice contrast however they seem a bit on the soft side, the OnePlus 13r can record video in 4k with this Main and telephoto cameras the ultra wide and selfie cams are limited to 1080p 4K videos from the main cam are sharp enough and have plenty of detail and good dynamic range the colors could be more vibrant though the two time zoom videos are slightly more colorful but the sharpness is unimpressive and there's some noise as well the ultra wide camera's videos come out soft and washed out looking at night the main Cam's 4K videos are clean and relatively sharp with wide dynamic range and low noise the colors and contrast could be better though

snippets: not to say that the 13 R's cameras are awful because that's just straight up not true and though the 13r has the same Main and Ultra wide as the 12r from last year we're now treated to a 50 megap two times camera which produces some decent results if you ask me you'll find quite a lot of contrast in oneplus's color tuning here notice there's no hassleblad branding on the back yeah it's not because they forgot to just print it on there oneplus's cutdown models don't have the hassleblad indorsed tuning which leads to more vanilla looking images than the full fat phones but whether you like this or not is going to be completely subjective of course there's a good amount of dynamic range it almost Nails the white balance every single image which I was quite impressed with and pinching in up to around five times in the app the photos hold up surprisingly well like way better than I expected given and this doesn't have a super long range shooter on it the onp paper specs don't do this setup Justice it's actually a pretty decent camera there were of course times where Shadows got completely crushed where the noise reduction seemed to pull out detail that maybe by mistake and the sheer amount of digital sharpening in some of these images just really isn't to my taste these cameras are serviceable for sure they're pretty decent but they don't match the point and shoot reliability or the natural look that you get with something like the pixel 8A unfortunately the 13r also doesn't hold a candle to the pixel's long-term software support which well not the end of the world because there aren't that many people holding on to their phones past four years anyway does limit the viability of it in s of the second and third hand ownership stage of its life compared to the pixel which we always love to see because make use recycle all that stuff
