snippets: now as far as the sound and this one's a little bit tricky to talk about because out of the box when I just put them straight on my head and just started listening to music I wasn't very impressed I I don't like the way that these are tuned out of the box and that's even with switching into the different alt modes that they have there's basically an ALT one and an ALT two now alt one focuses on subbase only it's trying to bring that out a little bit more and give you that subwoofer type feel where alt two is kind of giving you an overall boost it's trying to boost the treble it's trying to boost the base and just trying to amplify your music Al together and the way that I found to really enjoy this is I needed to go into the app and go into EQ settings and kind of adjust things to counteract turning the alt modes on and I I think I finally found like the perfect balance for me I like a very bright treble I like a really thick Punchy bass as long as it doesn't affect everything else and I feel like out of the box the sound definitely was affected by bass I felt like it was a little too warm a little too kind of congested at times it just didn't fit a sound signature that I liked with previous Sony headphones so I kind of had to boost the treble quite a bit and boost the mids and kind of tone the bass down to let the alt mode just kind of bring bass out on its own and it definitely can find a sweet spot that way they also give you the clear base sliding feature and I found right around eight I think was The Sweet Spot again I'll show you right here on the screen my settings so that I can tell you my experience with the sound I think once you tune everything thing in you can have a really thick Punchy subwoofer type base and a really bright clean detailed treble and you can have it where mids definitely uh can still Stand Out amongst that really thick base uh so you can get these to sound very very good for a base heavy pair of headphones where I feel like some of the issues with this headphone for me was most people aren't going to go in and do all that tuning they expect to just take them out of the box and they're going to sound certain way and these really just don't do that and because they're a base heavy pair The Sound Stage and the sound Imaging on this pair isn't very open uh it still does a really good job of being able to tell where sounds are coming from but at most times it really kind of left me feeling like I was in a small to maybe mediumsized room this again it's just not a very open pair of headphones which really shouldn't be expected I mean it has noise cancelling which already kind of closes you in and isolates you some and with that thick Punchy base you know you're not going to expect these to have this very big breathable sound to them so know what you're going into and I think overall this is a really good product from Sony but it's kind of going at a niche market obviously if you're looking for flatter reference style sound this this is not the pair for that uh but if you're looking for a pair that has really good noise cancelling and really good sound that you're going to have to tweak a little bit to kind of pull the most out of it that's what makes this an enticing pair especially because these are 200 and not $350 or $400 like some of the other noise cancelling headphones out there but with this being a Sony pair of headphones I do see these probably going down to 150 on sale quite a bit I don't know that yet they're too new I haven't seen them go on sale yet but all Sony headphones usually kind of hit a sale price at some point and it's usually pretty significant so I can see these being at $50 and I think at $150 it's very very appealing but guys that's my video on the brand new Sony altar active noise cancelling headphones thank you so much for checking out this video thank you so much for checking out all the other videos and as always make sure to stay tuned for more

snippets: so these have SBC AAC ldac and lc3 codec so ldac very high resolution codec that's nice it's kind of expected from a pair of Sony headphones this uh the sound that you're getting there's really no other way to explain it other than just Mega bass like huge Bas like I said earlier if you just put them on in normal mode you get a lot of bass and you can EQ that down a little bit if you don't like a lot of bass uh but in general they're going to sound a little bit dark uh the bass definitely eclipses a lot of other instruments on here and they could even be a little bit dull like instruments uh such as like a snare drum are going to be a lot less crisp on here but like I said the benefit is that the bass is very big and very boomy and for like a lot of people out there that's exactly what you want like people I can't tell you how many people don't really like more natural sounding headphones and much prefer big Basse like these and like I said when you press the alt button once you get like a base boost so if I take them and I listen to a song like maybe Yonkers or Dazed and Confused or something that has like a really obvious prominent Baseline then like yeah it's kind of fun it's just a different experience you don't get with most other headphones if you press it again like I said the the second time you press the alt button it gives you like this crazy mode where you like almost can't hear anything else even at half volume like you can feel the Bas so well in your head like it's really impressive what they're able to do like until you try it it's really hard to explain exactly how well that works but like I said if your favorite song is Dazed and Confused or your ankers and you just really love baselines then these like these are your headphones you're not going to find anything else that really does it quite like these but if you care a little bit more about a balanced profile or if you want to hear the details of the the vocals or the guitar or any higher instruments then like yeah you're going to struggle on these headphones
