detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I needed a new laptop for work, and after a lot of research I decided to settle on this Dell Inspiron 14 laptop. It comes with an Intel i7-1360p processor. It's a powerful processor which has a decent battery life of about 4-8 hours depending upon how you use it. It also comes with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of NVMe storage, which is excellent for its price point. The hardware is brilliant. It has a sleek keyboard, an excellent touchpad, good built-in stereo speakers, an integrated stereo microphone, an integrated fhd webcam with a sliding cover, ports for HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, etc., built-in bluetooth and Wifi, and a beautiful anti-glare full HD display with a high DPI. It also comes with an Windows 11 operating system preinstalled with UEFI Secure Boot and BitLocker for protection. Although, as a Linux user the first thing I did was create a separate partition for installing Linux alongside Windows for dual booting. And, I must confess I am very happy with this system. The only downside I can think of is that the screen size is 14 inches, which is a little small. However, I don't mind because I use fractional scaling to increase the size of the UI. Nevertheless, I can still enjoy full HD when watching movies. I actually like the small size because it's lightweight and easy to carry.

detailedReviews 2: content: Pros - its a fast little machine. Starts up quickly and keeps up with my usage demands. In my line of work i require many programs and folders open at a time. This little power machine has no problem handling my demands effortlessly without a hiccup. Cons - I'm not a big fan of Windows 11. With every new windows release they seem to push more things we don't ask for or need. I had to uninstall a bunch of free trials for programs that were pre-installed in English, French and Spanish, each had to be uninstalled separately. Good news is that I had the option to uninstall them but it was time consuming and a hassle. Some windows features have been moved, so it takes some getting used to, to find the things I'm looking for like cutting and pasting in a folder. The battery lasts for a few hours when pushed to work hard. I find i have to plug it in after an average of 5 hours. It lasts longer for regular use, I personally demand a lot from my computer. The keyboard has a nice soft touch and its quite enjoyable to use this laptop. It is very light to carry making it easy to take with you and use on the go. If you are already a windows 11 user you will enjoy this powerful laptop without some of the adjustments I'm experiencing.

detailedReviews 3: content: Pros; 1. Keyboard is good. 2. Overall build quality is good. 3. Has upfiring speakers and 16:10 aspect ratio for screen. 4. Is sleek and slim. Cons; 1. Has AC charging port which should be made obsolete now. They should give a Thunderbolt 4 instead, if not Thunderbolt 3 with DP and PD capabilities and Type-C charger. Other laptop makers are offering this in the same price range of this category. 2. Lot of bloatware apps of Dell which are for the most part extremely useless. Even their updates app misses out on important Intel driver updates and you have to check yourself periodically from Intel's website. 3. The raised up hinge is a stupid idea. It is not comfortable when placing laptop on a soft furniture finish like sofa. Even when placed on table, it is inconvenient to move across. They should have gone with a traditional well built clamp shell hinge. 4. Despite having upfiring speakers, the driver updates and tuning is horrible by Dell. The sound gets muffled when playing any video on any media player be it Windows or something else. 5. The sound fan tends to get noisy even when system has no real load but a few chrome tabs running. They have the space to give an extra heat outlet and should have given so to improve its thermals. 6. No IR camera for facial recognition despite Dell mentioning on its website.

detailedReviews 4: content: Bought an Inspiron 5430 with 16 Gb RAM and 1 Tb drive. Thing I like most about it is the non-glare screen - sometimes referred to as a "non-touch" screen. My old Dell laptop had a touch screen that I never touched the entire 7 years I had it. To me, it's much more important to be able to see the screen without glare/reflections. I do wish I could have gotten more RAM and a bigger hard drive on my new one, but it will probably be enough. The keyboard is very comfortable and easy to type with. Love the backlit keyboard, but I do notice the keys don't light up quite as quickly as they did on my old Inspiron. Not a big deal. The fingerprint reader (on/off switch) works great. Also like the way the speakers point upward on this model. Had no choice but to get Windows 11. Would much rather have Windows 10 (or Windows 7). It seems with each new release of Windows, it gets more cumbersome to do easy tasks. For instance, to get to "file properties" it takes an extra mouse click because you have to "show more options" to get there. However, that's not Dell's fault.

detailedReviews 5: content: This computer is everything I wanted and blew past my expectations for what I thought I would get. The quality, cost and service is amazing! It's everything I would want and more. The setup, navigation, and integration is such an easy transition from my previous dinosaur computer that was over 5 years old from being refurbished when I received it. Normally I fear getting new technology thinking that you practically need an I.T degree to operate it, but not this one. I especially love the battery life, the fingerprint sensor for quick access and optional pin/password use. The Strat button on the Windows 11 home edition is better than the Windows 10 start button. I definitely recommend this company and product, not to mention that they truly want you to be a happy customer with the follow up emails to make sure that you are on your way to success.

detailedReviews 6: content: When I received the laptop, while I was setting it up, it told me it needed 5 updates for windows and had out of date drivers. Why would you send it without it being up to date. Disappointing. Also when I opened up windows apparently One drive is set to start and it replaced everything on my desktop with the few items that I had put on the laptop. This caused everything to disappear. Luckly I was able to restore One drive back to the time just before that happened. Was unaware the Microsoft wants to put everything in the cloud so all the computers are the same. I do not want everything on the laptop as I travel with the laptop. SO very frustrating on both issues. I have had a dell computer forever. I find them to be powerhouses. So far, I am a bit disappointed with it. I am sure I can have Geek squad delete all the nonsense that comes with the laptop. It also is a bit slow on the response to commands.

detailedReviews 7: content: When it comes to buy a new laptop either for me or some one ask me for references, I can not think of suggesting any other brand then Dell. My first purchase was Dell XPS 15 in 2011. It has been a decade and time for the upgrade with well performing new laptop for personal use. So, I simply looked at Dell, and I got exact configuration i was looking for my new purchase. Guess what, I simply purchase it without looking for any other options. The best thing i like for Dell is 1. Quick Delivery 2. Quality Product, Impressive and slick design, Top most configuration, Light weight with good power back up battery. 3. Excellent customer service 4. Excellent pricing for given configuration 5. One of the important service is Dell Diagnostic to regularly check product's status.

detailedReviews 8: content: The edge around the outer body is sharp enough to cut the skin. Backpack supplied with the laptop is of poor quality. For the money i5-1340P processor would have been better than i5-1335U. Additional warranty options while purchasing can be a little cheaper. Color shade looks cheap. Darker/Aluminium colors would look nicer. HDMI out can be 2.1 instead of 1.4. For decades same charging port by dell! Pls change to C type charging

detailedReviews 9: content: Excellent balanced components in a good value laptop. This laptop benchmarks between 3 and 4 times faster than my old i7 which I ran an IT consulting business on. I'm impressed with the performance of the cheapest laptop that Dell make. I spent a lot of time looking for any laptops even close in price/performance but couldn't find any. It's not all good though. It's supposed to be a laptop but there are edges that are uncomfortable on your legs and if it's charging it gets a bit too warm. To fix that I just rest it on a sleeve case on my lap.

detailedReviews 10: content: I have only had the laptop a week and although lengthy, the setup process was not exceedingly difficult. The getting started guide could have been a bit more descriptive, with a few more pictures. While an online document was available to print, it was a little disappointing. The laptop seems to be sturdy enough. Some of the keys on the keyboard were a bit confusing, until I figured out the left and right mouse buttons on the touchoad were actually below the the bottom of the touchpad. So far, I'm generally satisfied with my purchase.
