content: to be concise this is probably the best iem under 35k, Pros: - Sub bass and mid bass clarity, quality and volume is amongst the best, this is not a basshead iem but will definitely please a basshead. - Mids are not recessed and are as accurate as they can be, however are not vocal forward per se but are slightly elevated compared to "v" shape iems, giving this iem a mild "W" shape signature. -treble is good but for me was very much dependent on the tips I used, when using with sancai wide bores trebles were nice and clear, bright, might be too energetic for some, however with regular tips was perfectly tame and not sibilant to a point of discomfort and had decent air. So use wide bores if you want to open up the iems, get a little better imaging and seperation but might make the highs a little too energetic, and with regular tips you get more boomy bass but might lose a little of the stage width but is better for treble sensitive folks. Cons Condensation issue might be there on rainy days, the wing style fit may not work for all, the iems are medium size and can fit many ear sizes especially with smaller tips but if you don't do well with wings or have atypical ears it may not be for you. is reminiscent of new meta style tuning, so if you have iems with similar tuning this may be redundant. Overall: 9/10 literally doesn't get much better than this whether you're putting in 5k more of 1 lakh more, this is the point of diminishing returns, atleast in my opinion, and from this price point on its mostly accesories or timings which actually make a difference. fit and comfort was amazing for me, i have normal ears, with smaller canals, fits very well for me with small tips, but might have a few pressure spots depending on the ear. build quality is very good with a nice metal shell. The cable is very good and premium, accessories are good, and has a premium feel and looks beautiful with good presentation, over-all worth for the money, atleast for me lol. however you may want to wait for more reviews on the hype 4 mark 2 and the new tea pro SE, and if you're a basshead the martillo is going to be potential endgame.

The sound is basically neutral, the bass is present and textured but not boosted by much. Mids are spectacular and tame but not recessed at all. The treble brings the mids out even more without harshness and is pretty well extended at least to the uppertreble. Air frequencies are somewhat subdued but still not a problem for the sound. The treble is just a bit emphasized as it's oriented for mixing, so for casual listening it's a little sharp but it's my preference that way. If you're okay with a set that brings out details through Treble you'll like this.

content: Absolutely bang for the buck. Best beginner IEM under 2000 Rs and I am not even kidding or exaggerating. This is my second KZ EDC pro set actually. I ordered it for my brother because I like it a lot. If you want for gaming or on limited budget, definitely buy it. It can be driven buy any normal 3.5mm device, but buy a dongle DAC if you can it will enhance your experience with cleaner sound. Read the detailed review below. The tuning is lot balanced with slight V shape is how everyone describes it. So far from friends, I got to try Moondrop chu II, Tangzu Wan'er SG 2, Blon bl03 I, KZ ZSN pro X and KZ EDC pro(my own) all with DAC (for first three it was with Audiocular spark). I will say I prefer EDC pro over all of these. Might sound like a madlad here preferring a 700rs IEM over ~2000 rs IEM but it's just that good. Tuning: It comes to preference, but what's good is it is not the usual KZ like tuning, and it's V shape enough to enjoy but not too much to crush all details. It's tuning is close to moondrop chu II I would say, and Blon bl03 if you reduce sharpness of the treble. Or other way to describe would be little more bass than Tangzu Wan'er SG 2. But it does feel little sharp sometimes on highest volumes with something like trumpets playing. Technicalities: I am a noob, yes. But from my understanding, it's very head to head with tangzu wan'er SG 2 and blon bl03 in terms of soundstage. Well, in busy tracks seperation (I listen to J-pop a lot), all of the IEMs I tested so far have failed (the best set I could experience was Fiio ft1 pro open back, so my judgement of seperation and soundstage comes according to that). And a heads up, its sensitivity is high, so it will produce hissing noise with DACs that have Amp chip with higher noise flour than it's sensitivity. Cons: 1. It starts to struggle at higher volumes, becomes little sharp (ear piercing treble) with things like trumpet, but again you will never require higher than 60-70% in quite listening. 2. Other IEMs in under 2k range have smaller sizes, this one is just way bigger in the ears, but due to that it's a snug fit. People with smaller ears will find it way bigger. Thanks for reading! Also thanks for the audio store team for cooperating about the Spark DAC hissing issue even when it was clearly my mistake. It seems it's not publicly known that IEM sensitivity should be checked before buying a dongle DAC+Amp.

content: Almost perfect! Highly recommended! 🤩 I was in the market for a pair of TWS-ANC buds after my Buds Pro ANC started malfunctioning and I came across these. Started watching videos on YouTube and ultimately chose to buy these over the XM4s. Primary reason: extremely compact case (I typically carry the case in the coin pocket of my jeans) and extremely light-weight and small size of the buds itself (I get ear fatigue quite often). I have uploaded 3 images for scale when compared to Buds Pro and Buds+. I've always wanted to try out a Sony TWS, I am continually impressed by my 4y old wired Sony XB-55AP, and finally bit the bullet on this one! I am no audiophile, but, the soundstage is excellent, ANC is on point and thankfully, they provide an option to tweak the EQ as per personal preferences. But, the Sony Headphones Connect app is very very clunky to use, it's a confusing mess and is not a very well designed app. The Speak to Chat works well but is mostly annoying as it is very sensitive. Adaptive Sound Control could be an useful feature but as of now, I've turned it off as I don't like my buds switching sounds modes automatically. Transparency mode sounds very realistic, not robotic or tinny at all! Touch controls work 10 out of 10 times but customisation is very limited as of now. This has multipoint as well which the XM4s doesn't. I am using LDAC streaming most of the times and one thing I've noticed in 24h of usage is that the right earbud drains faster than the left. Overall, a very very very decent pair of TWS buds. I wanted to get this in the Earth Blue color, but, sadly, it isn't available in India. Overall rating: 8/10.

content: I got this for 7.6k during the great Indian sale which is a steal!!! This comes very close to Sony's flagship tws, WF-1000XM4. The audio quality is mind blowing. The ANC is really good. You can say that it comes to about 90% of XM4's ANC capability. The battery life is decent but it doesn't matter to me much as I don't wear it continuously for more than 2 hrs and I put it back in the case after use. The comfort is great unlike the XM4 and you can wear it for a long time. It has a quick charge feature where a 5 min charge gives you 60 mins of playback. As mentioned by another reviewer, don't use the Equalizer in the Sony Headphones app. Install the Wavelet app and use its auto equalizer for Linkbuds S. The difference in quality is huge. Another useful feature is that you can connect to 2 devices at the same time. Do note that the right earbud is the primary unit and it consumes more power than the left one. There will be a slight difference in the battery to about 2 to 6% between both the earbuds. If you see a huge difference to about 12 to 20% or more, one of the earbuds is defective and you need to get it replaced. The only drawback I felt in this device is that during phone calls, the voice sounds mechanical and not natural. When I called my friend via the earbuds, he immediately asked me if I'm using some earphones or headphones as the clarity wasn't great. So if you are buying this device for calls, I will not recommend it. You can look at other premium devices like Samsung Buds 2 Pro, Airpods Pro 2, Bose QC 2, Oppo Enco X2 and the OnePlus Buds Pro 2. The latest Sony flagship, WF-1000XM5, is the best version of the XM4 and the Linkbuds S as it has incorporated all the positives from both devices. If you have the budget, then definitely go for the XM5.

content: The Sony Linkbuds S are a shrunk-down, improved version of the already excellent WF-1000XM4. I wasn't expecting this. Given the "Linkbuds" moniker I was expecting them to prioritize ambient sound features over all else, just like the original Linkbuds, but that simply isn't the case here. Build: the Linkbuds S are impossibly small compared to the WF-1000XM4, Sony's previous noise canceling earphones. They actually resemble the Samsung Galaxy buds 2 in overall size and shape. They also sport a nice large touch sensitive area that no one should have trouble missing. The only gripe I do have is that the outer surface is textured and this can cause some discomfort if it rubs against the crus helix. Case: the case is definitely one of the more pocketable out there. It's about the same size as the Airpods Pro case, but slightly shorter and narrower, albeit a bit thicker. However, it also has a textured surface which can make it a little difficult to slide in and out of pockets. Fit: the Linkbuds S fit very similar to the Galaxy Buds 2 and deeper than the WF-1000XM4. They are a little fiddly to fit. In my case I have to rotate them back and forth to get them to seat correctly. Although Sony instructs users to rotate the buds backwards to get a good fit I actually found this uncomfortable because the buds would rub against my Crus Helix and cause discomfort. Rotating them forward slightly fixed the issue. Once the buds were in place I found the fit to be secure and that, combined with their light weight, meant that it was easy to forget they were there. My one complaint about the fit is that the buds are so small that it's very difficult to insert them without either accidentally hitting the touch area or rubbing a finger against the noise canceling microphone, resulting in some static noise. Noise canceling: the noise canceling on the Linkbuds S is fantastic. Although the Linkbuds S are advertised as being open I actually found them to be more isolating than the WF-1000XM4s without noise canceling on. With noise canceling on I actually found the Linkbuds S to be slightly superior to the WF-1000XM4 in terms of blocking out background noise and they certainly blow the Galaxy Buds Pro/2 out of the water. I haven't had chance to test the Linkbuds S with very low frequency sounds (e.g. public transport, planes) but for blocking out office and household noise they're the best true wireless earphones I've tried. Sound: I saved the best to last. I was very pleasantly surprised with the sound quality of the Linkbuds S. The WF-1000XM4s were a big disappointment in this regard, with an overly dark presentation for my taste that led to recessed mids and lackluster treble. The Linkbuds S by comparison adopt a Harman-like tuning that presents mids and treble brilliantly with a satisfying bass boost that doesn't dominate the overall sound. The Linkbuds S definitely beat the WF-1000XM4s for overall sound and they're up there with the Galaxy Buds Pro/2, which are the reigning champs. Comparing the Galaxy Buds side by side with the Linkbuds S I honestly can't pick a favorite amongst the three, which I think is a very good thing. Other: in my limited tests the transparency features are great, as with the WF-1000XM4s. The only other thing that I think is worth noting is that the Linkbuds S struggle to maintain LDAC connectivity more than the WF-1000XM4s. This isn't surprising, given the small size, but is worth considering for anyone who wants to use LDAC in challenging environments or on the go. Wrap up: previously if I wanted to recommend a pair of true wireless earphones for someone I would have to include a 'but'. The Airpods Pro have great noise canceling but the sound isn't top tier and they don't play well with Android devices. The Galaxy Buds sound fantastic but the noise canceling isn't great and they don't play well with iOS. The WF-1000XM4s have top tier noise canceling and work well with both iOS and Android devices, but their sound isn't the best. The Linkbuds S on the other hand have top tier noise canceling, work excellent with both iOS and Android, and have excellent sound. These are now my default recommendation to anyone looking for new True Wireless earphones. Alternative picks: If it wasn't for the better Bluetooth connectivity of the WF-1000XM4s and the improved battery life the Linkbuds S would have made the XM4s redundant. Whether the increased price is worth it for those things will be up to the individual. I think there's still a case to be made for getting the cheaper Galaxy buds over the Linkbuds S if noise canceling isn't a priority. However, I think the only reason to pay more for the Airpods Pro would be if you really like the design and/or the enhanced integration with iOS is really important.

At this price point ANC is very good, sound, bass & treble quality is really very good. Battery back up is quite good I have used it continuous for more than 3 hrs and still more than 50% of charge was there left. The best part is the fit and the in ear feel, it's extremely light weight and it doesn't cause any issues while using it for long hours.

FULL REVIEW : 1) COMFORT : Hands down these are the best TWS i ever used! It's compact & fits into my ears perfectly, doesn't feel like I'm wearing them. still I'm scared if they fell while walking. 2) SOUND & BASS : I'm seriously impressed with the sound quality, why wouldn't I? That's Sony!! Coming from 15mm drivers I'm Kinda disappointed about bass but what can we expect from 5mm drivers in these tiny cute buds. 3) PREMIUM FEATURES, BUILD QUALITY & RELIABILITY : Sony has dedicated app to play around with Equalizer as per your liking you can adjust the sound signature also packed with some incredible stuff like speak-to-chat (i personally use it), adjust ambient sound (YES! You can). These are made from recycled material honestly it doesn't look as premium as XM4 earbuds but way compact. As it's Sony!! You can trust, I've seen people received faulty product or not working after few months, brand came forward to replace them without any hesitation. 4) NOISE CANCELLATION & CHARGING : NC is fine not the best, you will be able to hear background noise slightly while playing music in wild traffic or nearby construction site. Battery backup depends upon how you use them i turned on DSEE extreme, NC, on full volume i got them around 4hours (on single charge, haven't put them back into case). These support fast charging so i guess there won't be any problem while travelling. Ambient mode is awesome! It boosts outer sound which doesn't seem to be fake or weird. Conclusion : Except wireless charging, You are getting all XM4's features on Linkbuds S at lesser price. (XM4 doesn't have multi connection i.e: can't connect earbuds to 2 device simultaneously, whereas Linkbuds support it after new firmware update) I don't regret purchasing it for 9.9K, but still they are damn expensive. Wish build quality was better. I would recommend to purchase during sale with card offers. Usually it's sold for 16,990/- during special occasions it comes down to 13,990/- or 14,990/- make sure there's any card offer & extra discount available. This is how i got for 9.9k + Linkbuds S : 13,989/- - Prepaid transaction discount : 3,000/- - Extra 10% discount through card : 1,000/- = Final price : 9,989/- If you have the budget, for the price (under 10k) it's absolutely worth it! Samsung galaxy buds 2 pro, costs the same as Sony during sales. I've never used them so, can't speak much about it nor i own a samsung device (yeah, buds 2 pro sound better with samsung handset on the other hand, Sony playbacks in high quality on any device. On Samsung you won't be able to change Equalizer settings, gotta stick with presets) Tip : Purchase Spigen Rugged Case to protect these "damn expensive" buds! I'll keep updating my review, time to time! Hope this helps!! :D It's June 2023 : Buds are getting better & better with each new update!! Especially noise cancellation has improved a lot. Update 2 It's December 2023 : My right bud sometimes keep disconnecting, so I have to remove from ear & put it back, idk what's the issue. snippets: The last thing I like about the LinkBuds S is actually the Sony Headphones app., If you want to tweak the sound profile of your buds, Sony included an EQ feature, though for these buds, I actually think they sound pretty good out of the box, so I haven’t toyed with the EQ feature all that much, and if you want to improve sound quality, the app is of course where you can prioritize sound quality for their bluetooth connection and turn on DSEE, which is Sony’s proprietary technology for upscaling low-quality music so you’ll hear more clarity and detail, though if you’re already listening to most modern music through an iPhone or Android and a music-streaming app, I haven’t noticed a huge difference with this feature turned on., The app also includes some features that work well., I've just preferred to leave off while testing these buds like adaptive sound control, where the app will detect your actions like walking or sitting and adjust the noise cancellation automatically, I found this feature with this product and past Sony products to be just more annoying than helpful., the same thing with speak to chat, which is my limited testing, works well by pausing your music and turning on transparency mode when the earbuds detect your talking to someone, but I prefer just to have manual control over when music stops and then resumes again.

content: BOUGHT Nov 23, 2022 (was 4 stars): Needed to replace my Bose Soundsport bluetooth headphones for working out + travel (less bulky than the Sony WH-1000XM3). This was 44% cheaper during Black Friday sales so I took a chance amidst the mixed reviews. PROS: really comfortable, great for outdoor walks & workouts. Battery life is good with the charging case and very responsive for tap functions or linking to a variety of devices. CONS: some songs sound EXCELLENT, some (instrumental) sound awful like from a tin can. Limited sound adjustment but I knew nothing beats the VERY expensive WH-1000X series for sound (curious what THOSE earphones sound like!). Not perfect, but worthwhile at the SALE price; full/regular price, I wouldn't buy it. UPDATE Sept 24, 2024 (now 1 star): I'm now getting the dreaded problem others have complained about. Even after a full charging session, the LEFT airbud and case are still reading at 99-100% but the RIGHT airbud starts at 94%, and its power starts to drop in real time, a percentage every 30 seconds or so of playing music! In short, after a 45 minute workout it's already at 20% with low battery warning. When others complain to SONY, their customer service offers the same list of links with DID YOU TRY THIS, etc. I try them all to no change in behavior, and like at the end of every list, they give a link to contact them directly. It goes to a generic page listing every since SONY product except the Linkbud S in question, making most people give up. I know. I was warned. I hoped it wouldn't happen to me but... I'll have to live with a super weak RIGHT earbud charge and start shopping for a replacement in the near future. It's a shame as I quite like their older over-ear WH-1000XM3 headphones which still work just fine. Linkbuds however, turned into Linkduds. :-(

content: I first got these on clearance, but they had solid reviews so I gave them a chance. They're comfortable, come with a number of features (even though I don't use 75% or them) and have decent sound quality and bass for the size. After about a year or so, I started having issues with latency (sound cutting cutting out and "artifacting"). I though this was just a function of the size and having a smaller BT antenna compared to my own buds, but not that I'm out of warranty, an issue with the right-bud having excessive battery drain relative to the left one (15 minutes of playback vs the multiple hours of playback on the right). This is cleary a hardware issue and has been widely reported on with headphones experiencing severe battery discharge shortly after the stock warranty period. The Clearance makes so much more sense now. Sony knew this was an issue and wanted to move their remaining product quickly. I'm going to try a self repair, but for the average user these things will becoming e-waste after about 2 years. This is unacceptable for a what was originally a $200+ pair of buds. I was a fan of wired Sony products in the past...you got a lot of bang for the buck, but this has put me off Sony for audio in the future. QC is one thing, but this is a known issue has they've just largely ignored.

Outro problema extremamente incômodo: desconexão frequente dos Buds. Sabe quando você tira o fone da caixinha e coloca os dois no ouvido e só um deles funciona? Isso acontece O TEMPO TODO com o Linkbuds S. E o pior: muitas vezes a desconexão de um dos Buds ocorre com o fone em funcionamento, no meio da música/podcast. Pra piorar, a cereja do bolo: com cerca de 1 ano de utilização, eu tive de trocar a caixinha carregadora. Deu defeito, parou de funcionar/carregar, e eu tive que comprar uma avulsa na China. Uma pena. Dei uma chance para a SONY, e a SONY decepcionou.

Pros: Sound quality, app user friendly, customizable control configuration, decent noise cancelling. Cons: Poor connectivity. If you are sitting, or walking your connection is good. If you are working out or doing movements like yard work you will lose connection off and on. I have tried the troubleshooting and this has not fixed the problem. Does not stay in ear well. I have to readjust often. It could just be my ears, but I have tried several different size silicon bud tips with no success. Overall based on my needs I would not buy this product again. It works great if you are sitting at desk, laying in bed or in commute, but working out or yard work it is not worth it.
