Only annoying thing is you cannot turn off the fact the ports charge accessories even when the laptop is switched off. This means his mouse is lit up all night unless he unplugs it but not sure it is a good idea to be constantly putting things in and out of the ports. It is much cooler than his last HP gaming laptop which means his bedroom is much cooler too. He had an issue when using headphones, even HP's own, his microphone was cutting out whilst talking to other people. Turned out it was a special effects option that needed to be turned off. Otherwise it's a great gaming laptop and he is very pleased with it.

detailedReviews 3: content: Picked this up at $699 - $60 CAD coupon. It's reasonably lightweight, and with a bit of tuning, quiet. The fan is high-pitched, which can get annoying quickly. Main issue is the lack of expansion: no second drive slot other than a microSD card, and only one USB-C and two USB-A ports. Two USB-A ports go quickly to a keyboard and mouse, after all.
The official spec says maximum RAM is 2x8 GB, but that's just plain wrong. The first upgrade I made was putting in 2x16 = 32GB of RAM, and that works no issues.

So worth it. One day it started being laggy/low fps in game, and I was concerned, It was a bit laggy/low fps for a few days until I did some research and found out I needed to update my graphics drivers and also updated the system software. This Fixed it back to normal and I can’t say enough good things about it. Wow.

Wie zu erwarten ist der Neue deutlich schneller und auch gaming ist gut machbar. Er wird dann natürlich etwas laut. Im Normalbetrieb (surfen, Office) ist er kaum hörbar. Inbetriebnahme war problemlos.
