detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I bought this shoe for the second half of summer mileage for fall marathon training and I was pleased with the underfoot feel, however it is a bit on the heavy side. This shoe is great for recovery and longer mileage, but starts to get heavy further into the run. The upper is extremely comfortable and the padded tongue reduces any lace bite for someone who likes their shoes tied fairly tight. Most of the weight that I noticed falls at the bottom of the foot towards the outsole and it can affect your stride and footstrike if you are fatigued. I have been able to pick up the pace for some progression runs, but not without some effort. The nice thing about running hard efforts in this shoe is that when switching to lighter, tempo shoes, the weight reduction is noticeable and I have been able to notice the effort is drastically reduced when pushing faster paces. Overall, I would recommend this as a recovery/easy run shoe and possibly a daily trainer if you are looking to run for fitness. It's a great shoe to have in rotation and it will definitely help you develop some speed if you push the pace in training then switch to a light shoe for hard efforts and race day.

detailedReviews 2: content: I got these shoes a week ago and look forward to wearing them because of how comfortable they are. I am 5’11 235lbs and wear a size 11. They are true to size and for comparison I wear a size 11 Air Force 1, Jordan 1, vans new era, and 10.5 wide converse chucks.
These shoes feel super supportive and very comfortable. I’ve done some sprints and light jogging and they just make me want to run more.
The sole is quite high which made driving feel a little weird but for the walking/casual jogging use case I think these are my favorite shoes. Otherwise very happy with the quality of the material and look of the shoe. I got the summit white and coconut milk color way which I think helps take attention away from how tall these soles actually are.

detailedReviews 3: content: I never feel compelled to leave reviews here, but these shoes have literally brought the joy back to running for me. My previous favorite Nike shoe for slower / shakeout runs was the Invincible 2 and these bring the same responsive cushioning with a substantially enhanced rocker geometry. I have about 45 miles on them so far and no signs of the cushioning deteriorating at all. Fit is perfect and the hell cushioning is outstanding. These aren’t race day shoes for sure, but are a great daily trainer and can be pushed for at least some speed intervals. Couldn’t recommend these more. FWIW I’m a heavier runner at 5’10” 200 lbs.

detailedReviews 4: content: Very soft and nice feeling to the cushioning. I also have the Brooks Glycerin Max which is super cushioned, but I’d say those are slightly firmer. The Vomero 18’s feel “slightly” less stable, I assume due to the softness, but not bad. Kinda similar to the NB 1080v14. For some reason the outside of my left foot was a little achy while running but they may just need to break in more. Overall, I would definitely recommend. Hopefully they come out with more colors. I waited until the all black came out since I don’t like white sneakers that much.

detailedReviews 5: content: As a marathon runner who wears Nike elite racing shoes that are notoriously restrictive, this new Vomero is a welcome surprise. The fit is very generous and ample and the cushion is beyond comfortable. If you think it’s too big just tie it tighter. Suggestion Nike: Create a low price racing Vomero with a curved carbon fiber or nylon insert and watch the revenue explode. In fact call it the VOMERO EXPLODE! This shoe is simple enough to help anyone train without strain and be ready for the big race, but it may also keep competitors up at night!

detailedReviews 6: content: I’m usually not a fan of Nike’s running shoes, but this pair completely changed my mind. From the moment I put them on, I could feel the incredible cushioning and comfort. The cushioning is both lightweight and highly responsive, making them my go-to choice for daily runs. I did have to size up from an 11 to an 11.5 because the toe box runs a bit narrow, but once I found the right fit, they were perfect. I always recommend this shoe to any runner I assist in-store!

detailedReviews 7: content: These are very cushiony gym shoes. Great for working out and cross training, probably running as well...although I have worn these since the 5's as gym shoes. Last year's model was pretty poor, this one is one of the best. Better than than the 16's even, as I still have a pair of those that I wear as house shoes. Don't hesitate to grab these if you are on the fence. Superior to the 17's in every way, and a little better than the 16's.

detailedReviews 8: content: I got the shoe as a daily trainer for running and holding up pretty well so far. The fit feels true to size and it's quite comfortable. The foam underneath is a bit more on the firm side if you prefer that.
My only complaints would be that it's not that breathable and you could get some hot spots in higher temperatures. As well as that the materials feel a bit flimsy as one of the pull tabs on the back of the shoe tore after only the second or third run and I had to stitch it back myself.

detailedReviews 9: content: So far so good, been out on around 12 runs (6 milers all on road surfaces) and the cushioning is still holding up well. For £110 I suppose it should do, but time will tell. I've always run in Nike Pegasus but decided to try these as I'm 50 and want to look after my knees etc with running on the road. I've never worn such a cushioned trainer, feels like running on soft surface not hard. I love them despite their price tag of almost double my pegasus. I said before, so far so great 👍

detailedReviews 10: content: Like some of the other reviewers, some of the best wide shoes I have had have been Vomeros. At first I thought the look of the bottom part of the shoe wouldn't be to my liking but it is different in person. I was glad they had some kind of blue option (would have preferred darker), but would have purchased these...except they don't meet the needs of the extra wide customer- especially the toe box. I hope Nike isn't going to limit extra wide models based on sales- if you don't actually make them wide enough what can you expect?
