snippets: so two cons that I have with the Air Max Alpha trainer 5 is number one if you have a wider or flatter foot this shoe is going to feel Wicked uncomfortable for you so this model's toe box is super tapered and it has a pretty aggressive midfoot taper and there's a bit of arch so if you have a wider or flatter foot steer clear of the shoe save your money go with something that's going to fit with your foot Anatomy better, the second con that I have with this shoe is despite Nike languaging it as this like good training shoe in the gym it's just not and I'm going to explain from a biomechanic standpoint and just from an overall training standpoint regarding what I interpret red with the shoe so in the context of what I interpreted it just feels very platformy and heavy so for example when doing lateral work if the shoe is tips over basically you don't really have a nice shoe to like kind of feed into the mechanics of the foot and help give you power to the ground because if for example you're trying to really get into this lateral side of the shoe it can kind of almost like topple over and so what I did for this video specifically because I've had so many asks about the shoe I actually cut it in half I cut it in half to show you guys exactly why a shoe like this isn't good for lifting, when it comes to cross training the shoe is also not my favorite it feels heavy and honestly at times it feels a little bit platform me so if you have any form of lateral or medial Rock in the shoe as opposed to other shoes having some given kind of rolling with you this model kind of just topples over because it doesn't have the best construction in my opinion regarding its stack height and how this heel is built and how it kind of interacts with the ground so when it comes to cross training the shoe feels heavy it's not my favorite also this outsole wasn't my favorite on Turf too like I was having a little bit of slip for sled pushes so I know I'm bashing the shoe a lot but I just get annoyed when companies like Nike language shoes like this as being really good training shoes and then it like fools almost beginners or folks who might not know any better to buying the shoe when there are a lot of better options out there that are way more for your training

It's like walking on clouds and on pillows. This is not the same., Obviously, the gas is not the same as they used to use. The size is different. So, you're not going to feel the same way., Uh, and you know, in their own words, we're working on stability. You know, because these are made for the gym. It's It's not going to be the same feeling, but regardless, I love my Air Max models because of that feeling of walking on pillows, walking on clouds. You're not going to feel that here.
