least so a lot of people are interested to see how good this phone is especially with all of the recent sales that we're seeing so is it worth buying for you well I'm going to let you know my updated thoughts in this updated review so let's get right into it, this phone is like 90% of what a flagship phone really is, so a very very good value for that price you are going to get some pretty good speed it'll just be a couple steps below that flagship phone maybe even a slight step below some other mid-range phones but still good performance over overall just not perfect but my performance and my experience has been pretty good and I use a lot of Flagship level phones okay I do use phones like the Galaxy s24 and I use a lot of higher end phones but I try to use a lot of mid-range phones too and what I'm finding is I'm not lacking extremely if you're a really picky person who notices that extra second of lag here or there then you probably won't want to get this but if you are someone who just wants to be able to do your stuff dayto day you could see even from the b-roll I'm going to be showing this phone does have fairly good performance most of the time and I wasn't having many hiccups at all so if you're looking for the compromises again it's going to be in that performance just a step down from some other phones like the Moto G stylus for example the G stylus 2024 it does feel just a little bit faster and this phone has a headphone jack so those things are really nice but I don't think the Moto G stylist is quite as consistent as the A35 5G because this does have some things that the G stylist doesn't for example you're going to get Samsung updates and Samsung is much better at updating their phones so that is going to be very very significant for those of you who want to continue to get Samsung updates not to mention the fact that this is in the Samsung ecosystem it'll work really well with other Samsung devices and I do believe the camera is just a little bit better if you take a look at these shots this does have 4K video as well and you're going to have a good experience on the camera once again compared to those flagships you're not going to get a really great zoom lens that's not what you're getting with this phone but with the cameras you're going to get you are going to still have a good experience overall this does have a wide an ultra wide and a macro camera and as far as the normal wide camera that you have it's going to be very similar I would say to a Galaxy s24 or an s23 you won't have quite as much power as far as the processor to really work out that processing the same way but the lens is going to be very very similar as far as quality at least the sensor here so I would say you're going to get very very good shots but it's not going to be quite as good as those very highend phones or as a flagship phone but compared to something like a Google pixel phone I still think this would hold its own and do a pretty good job compared to something like the pixel 7A I think it's going to be pretty neck and neck and I had a very good experience even the 4K video is pretty usable and it does look fairly good especially for the price so is this phone worth it well you don't get Samsung decks I do understand that and I will say very quickly the Samsung Galaxy s23 Fe you could find that phone for very good deals on the used market so you might find an s23 Fe for $250 or $300 in mint condition so sure if you get a really good deal on a Ed phone and you're a person who doesn't mind Ed phones you could get a great deal on the s23 Fe and that's a really good bargain but most of the time even with the s24 Fe out and the s23 Fe out you're going to notice that this phone is going to be a lot cheaper especially on the new market so no matter what new phones are out even with some sales you'll find on the s23 Fe you'll find some really good deals on this phone like I said you'll find this brand new right around 300 bucks so for that price is it worth it I would say yes it is one of the best allaround phones you're going to find for 300 bucks and you might find a phone like theot AO G stylus that comes with a stylus that has a headphone jack and it might even be a hair faster as far as the processing power but whenever you look at this phone the software updates I think that is so crucial because a lot of you might be looking for a phone with longevity and if you want a phone that has that you really want good software updates you might want a slightly better camera so whenever you look at the camera the processing power when you look at everything as a overall package I would say this is going to be one of the best phones you're going to find for $300 the haptic feedback here is also better than you're going to find on the Moto G stylus and I would say there's a few things that I really like the speakers are very good on this phone and I would say they are definitely better than the speakers on the Moto G stylus so that's what I mean this is a very good all-around phone and there might be a phone that's slightly faster but has terrible speakers or it might have an extra feature there but it might not get those Samsung software updates so I really think if I'm recommending a phone to a friend someone who really doesn't want to spend a ton of money on a phone they just want to get a good bargain this is definitely going to be one of my go-tos if someone's looking to spend around 300 bucks they're looking for a brand new phone this is going to be one heck of a deal and even now after a few months I would recommend will it slow down over time well every phone does just factory reset your phone and this phone is still going to last you for a long time plus you'll get good Samsung software updates so it is a jump up from the Galaxy A3 3 4 and it's similar again to the a54 but I would say it's a very very good phone compared to all the other phones out there I know the a15 might be a little slow for some people even the a25 this is a nice jump up with a pretty good camera with a good overall software experience with those Samsung updates with good speakers and a great screen so very good for the money missing some Flagship features it doesn't have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor it is missing some things but I really still think it's worth it for some of you snippets: but I want to point out while I was typing in my Wi-Fi password and using the keyboard I did actually like the haptics I was impressed you know at a $400 price point you don't quite know what you're going to get out of the vibration motor but so far so good it's very light it's it's a pretty subtle vibration feedback uh so I'll have to wait to see the full strength of the vibration motor but so far so good, very quickly side by side the Galaxy s24 Ultra that top tier phone from Samsung uh over $1,000 against this $400 Galaxy A35 uh just taking a look at overall design in general obviously going to be uh just a bit different of a style a little bit more round on the sides as opposed to Flat obviously a bigger display on uh the s24 ultra but I will test out the two cameras uh side by side in just a second speaking of let's jump into the camera system just so you can get an idea, now very quickly I'd like to test out that in display fingerprint scanner right there so setting our thumb down uh it seems to be pretty quick overall setting our finger down with the screen off it worked ah there we go it seems to be just a tad slower than uh the s24 let's see here setting it down at the same time you'll notice just a bit of a difference so a little bit slower I believe it's not this is ultrasonic and this one is an optical fingerprint scanner so there is a difference in terms of the tech of these two

snippets: Now, with this device, we're getting a very large 5,000 mAh internal battery., And along with that, like I mentioned earlier, we're getting 25 watt fast charging., So, that's a great combination because not only are we getting a big battery which will allow the phone to last for a long time without having to be recharged, but in addition to that, you can also recharge it very quickly., So, 25 watts, that's not necessarily the fastest out there at this point, but at the same time, that is still decently fast and especially for a budget smartphone., Now, as I mentioned earlier in the video, this phone has been updated to Samsung's 1 UI7, which is based off of Android 15., Now, I really like 1 UI7., I feel like this is what has really taken Samsung software to the next level., Looks super clean., Everything is very well optimized., We're getting a lot of different features throughout the device, more than I can really even show you in this video, of course, but really 1 UI7 is a great upgrade., So, the phone will be getting many new versions of Android into the future as well, but I'm just glad that it does already have 1 UI7., And then with this device, we are getting NFC, so you can use the phone for tap and pay., It does feature an IP67 dust and water resistance, which means the phone can go underwater for up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes., And then we are getting stereo sound with this phone., So, we're getting audio out of both the main speaker, but also the earpiece, too, which does give you a more immersive audio listening experience., Now, taking a look at the hardware of the phone, I already talked about the materials, but on the right side here, we have volume up, volume down, and the power button., You can see also this little part of the side of the phone kind of sticks out a little bit., Kind of a cool design cue., makes a little bit more unique compared to your typical kind of boring smartphone, I suppose., On the left side of the device, we have nothing., Up top here, we have a noise cancelling microphone along with the slot for the micro SD card and SIM card., And then on the bottom of the phone, you can see we have the microphones, USBC port for charging and data transfer, and the main speaker., And it seems like Samsung's A series overall is moving towards the direction of completely ditching the headphone jack., So, it is unfortunate., I know a lot of people that watch my videos really like the headphone jack, but there is none here with the device., Then on the back of the phone, like I mentioned, we got the glass back, we've got the triple camera setup, flash, Samsung logo, and that's pretty much it., So, in conclusion, I still really like the Galaxy A35, and I think this phone is still a very worthy option in 2025., The main reason is that Samsung is continuing to support this device with new software updates, including the big 1 UI7 update., So, I'm really glad that's here, and it does make this phone even better than it was when it was brand new., But, if you like this video, definitely give it a thumbs up., This is Kevin here., This is the Galaxy A35 5G and I'll see you in the next one., Take care and have a great rest of your day.
