detailedReviews 2: content: 🚨 DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE – IT’S A SCAM! 🚨
I regret buying this phone and I don’t want anyone else to feel the way I do. Please don’t trust the stars or the ratings — they’re fake.
I bought this phone at the end of March, and from day one, it started overheating badly. I thought maybe it was because I had it plugged in while talking on the phone, but it kept happening on other days too.
By the second day, the phone started shutting off on its own — without me doing anything! 😡
And don’t even get me started on the battery. It’s horrible — can’t even last 4 hours! 😩
I wanted to return it, but Walmart said I need the original box, and now they won’t take it back. So if you were tricked into buying this like me, keep the box — you’ll probably need it.
Also, they claimed it was an iPhone Mini, but it’s just a regular iPhone — another lie. I checked on BuyDealShap and it’s clearly misleading.
After about 2 weeks, more problems started: the phone freezes randomly, and I have to restart it constantly just to use it. It’s seriously the most annoying experience I’ve had with any phone.
💔 I regret this so much.
🛑 DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.
❌ Don’t fall for the fake ratings.
💩 It’s a scam and this phone is trash.

detailedReviews 3: content: If I could give it 0 stars I would. This purchase has been a nightmare. the camera on the phone has not worked since i made the purchase. I have tried trouble shooting and changing settings but nothing worked. I filed a claim with the protection plan and they said it was still under warranty and to contact the manufacturer (apple). I took the phone to an apple store and had diagnostics ran. The manufacturer reported the Gyro sensor was failing and the Rear wide camera was failing, and told me that the phone would need to be replaced. The manufacturer said it was NOT under warranty and that there was nothing they could do to help. I contacted the protection plan company back and told them and they refused to help me any further saying there was nothing they could do. I went to my local Walmart and they agreed to do an exchange, but they had no iphone 13 to exchange the defective phone with. They then agreed to refund my money, but could not get the refund system to work. I reached out to you for a return/refund and you denied me. My local walmart tried to do a refund again, but their system does not recognize the serial number of the phone. My local walmart ran a search on the serial number and it showed the serial number of the phone we have is not the serial number of the phone we purchased. My local walmart is unable to help any further. The serial number and the IMEI that the seller provided matches the serial number and IMEI on the phone we have but still refuses to help me resolve this problem. I do not recommend ever purchasing from this seller.

detailedReviews 4: content: I would rather chew my own arm off than ever buy a refurbished phone from Best Buy again. The phone stopped working after less than 30 days and Best Buy refused to help me with it and instead sent me directly to Apple. Apple was very helpful and tried to do everything they could, but the problem is that when Best Buy refurbished the phone, they did not update the sold date, and the phone no longer appears to fall under the 90-day warranty from Apple. I’ve made several attempts to work with Best Buy to get this date changed since it does not reflect the date. I actually purchased the phone as soon as the date is changed Apple is more than happy to help me fix or replace the phone. Unfortunately, no one at Best Buy no matter how many hours I spend on the phone or chatting, wants to help. I have bought so many electronics from Best Buy and had wonderful experiences in the past, but this most recent experience purchasing a refurbished iPhone from a retailer I thought I could trust, has been horrible and now I have a $600 paperweight and have to buy a new phone. Even the geek squad team at my local store said they recommend don’t ever buy a refurbished phone even from Best Buy. I guess it’s a lesson learned and I’ll be buying my other electronics somewhere else in the future

title: Refurbished phone failed, Best Buy refused help
detailedReviews 5: content: This item was not as described “open box”, it was very clearly used, scratches all over the back and metallic chips around the camera lenses. Purchased a case, wasn’t too concerned since it would be covered. The phone is in the same condition as it was when purchased and has been protected and fully incased for the entirety of my usage.
Within 4 months the sound and volume up button quit working. The seller says you have tot take it to Apple for a warranty, Apple says the phone is out of warranty and not covered, as it was purchased over a few years ago.
This seller does not fall under the typical year warranty Apple offers for phones purchased by a reseller.
This is NOT an open box device, it is a very CLEARLY used phone, it was not a display phone, this was a phone that was in someone’s possession and used. I worked at a retailer cell phone store for years… I know what open box means, this phone was not an open box.

title: Used phone sold as open box, buttons failed
detailedReviews 6: content: When I first got the package, I was a bit worried because the outer carton was crumpled (you can see it in the photo). But thankfully, the phone box inside was totally fine and really sturdy, so no issues there.
The phone itself is great—battery health is at 100%, and there are no scratches or signs of damage. It honestly looks and feels brand new.
Just a heads-up: the box only comes with the phone and a charging cable. So you’ll need to get a charging brick, earphones, screen protector, and a case separately. If you're coming from Android, those extra accessories might feel a bit pricey.
I mainly went with the iPhone for its strong security features, and of course, the camera—which hasn’t disappointed so far. Really happy with the performance over the past few days.

detailedReviews 7: content: I bought this C grade 256gb iphone 13 thinking it would just have a few more scratches etc than a B grade but instead i was sent a phone that had SEVERE battery issues (overheating when charging, screen glitching, battery draining very quickly even when not being used etc). I even emailed before purchasing to ensure batteries are checked before the phones are resold to which i was assured they were. Took it into a shop within 24 hours as i needed a new phone ASAP. No apology. I was told the refund would be in my bank account within 2-3 days. Still waiting for a refund over a week later as apparently the store didn't follow the correct procedure when i returned it (apparently i'm still logged onto my icloud on it eventhough i logged out of it in front of them after I suggested that I should? The device is also not on my icloud when I go into settings?). CEX haven't replied to my last email that was sent 4 days ago and theres no way to call anyone.

title: Severe battery issues, overheating, screen glitching
detailedReviews 8: content: The phone i bought was in excellent condition so i had high expectations when it came to battery health as i had seen eco-friendly/good reviews with high battery health with some even at 100 % . Upon 1st inspection the phone looked brand new except a tiny scratch at one of the corners but overall looks brand new . The battery health was at 80% then went to 79% the same day . I was so disappointed i wanted to return it , they offered to take back the phone as the warranty is in effect . However realising that I am in SA , the process was gonna take at-least 2 weeks minimum and they were probably gonna give me another phone with maybe a battery health in the 80’s , so i decided to keep the phone and replace the battery . Overall excellent device and very responsive customer service.

title: Low battery health on refurbished phone
detailedReviews 9: content: Already having issues with the phone I guess when it was refurbished, it was a cheap screen that was put on the phone to replace it all one and it’s not up to the normal standards of Apple. It’s already pulling away from the phone and I did use the screen protector with it, and somehow another the screen itself cracked, but not the screen protector that tells me that it’s a cheap quality of screen, and from the beginning o i’m having trouble hearing my colors or them hearing me. I don’t know if it’s something with the microphone or whatever but this is the same problem I had with my old phone after I had been dropped many times, but this phone was not dropped, and it came in the fashion. I don’t know why I waited so long to write this review, but they should’ve bought the warranty or extended warranty and I’m very upset about this. It was not cheap.

title: Cheap screen replacement, poor audio quality
detailedReviews 10: content: I ordered a phone and it arrived with scratches on the screen and camera, it was poorly packaged, did not have a screen protector, and it did not include everything it was supposed to. I ordered a second one hoping it would be better. It was packaged correctly and the screen was fine, it had a screen protector, the body was a bit beat up, but the battery life was only at 76%. If your description says screens will be scratch free and battery will be at 80%capacity or better, you should follow through. I returned the second one and kept the one with the scratched screen. I asked for a partial refund for the scratched one since the product doesn’t fit their given description and was missing items and was denied.
