detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I bought the Low 1's, along with a bunch of other minimalist white sneakers from other brands (Greats Royale and Thursday Premier Low Top) to compare, and the Low 1's were the best in terms of fit & style.
Seriously, it was no competition. The Low 1's have the slimmest profile by far, with not many extra details (such as extra cuts of leather, vent holes, metal shoestring holes, etc.), which made the other brands look chonkier and too "busy" in comparison. The fit is also great (a tad bit snug at first, but they stretched out after just one wear around the house).
The only shortcoming was that the footbed is not as cushy as the other brands I've tried, so you tend to have a harder impact when you step. But! That is not to say the Low 1's are uncomfortable - no, they're quite comfy, even for a flat-footed person like myself! Just not as much cushioning under the foot as the others.
Overall - highly highly recommend! I mean, just look at that profile.

detailedReviews 2: content: These shoes look great. When I tried them on for the first time, they immediately felt broken in—like I’d been wearing them for a while. The fit is perfectly snug and incredibly comfortable. They’re also very stylish and easy to clean if they get dirty. They remind me of Common Projects, but at a third of the price.

detailedReviews 3: content: These shoes are hands-down the best every day shoe for someone like me who loves a minimalist, yet stylish profile. They complete just about every look and they're extremely well made. I've had mine for a little over a month now, and they still look just as new as when I first got them. And the best part is, they're at a very competitive price point, compared to other similar brands. Even better if you can get them on sale like I did!
I was a little hesitant about spending this much on shoes, but as soon as I put them on, I could tell they were very high quality. And for a shoe that I'll probably wear every day, they're worth every penny. These are the only shoes I could ever really need. Well, other than the same style in white which I definitely plan to get in the future!
I will say that they are a little snug, more so when you try them for the first time. But you'll definitely break them in after a couple of days and they'll fit just right.
These are the real deal! And the perfect minimalist shoe.

title: Best everyday shoe, minimalist, stylish, well made
detailedReviews 4: content: I was looking for understated white leather sneakers and saw these recommended frequently. The materials are obviously high quality and the design is pretty much what I was looking for. These are definitely shoes you can style with more formal outfits instead of dress leather shoes. They are quite comfortable and fit true to size — if you are in between sizes, go a half size up.

detailedReviews 5: content: The anticipation was building. As a person who makes frequent purchases online I was very excited. Most of my closet consists of Retro Jordans and costly running shoes. My friend had a pair of Common Projects and I was intrigued by the minimalist asthetic. I began to look online and saw the high price tag. Discouraged I scoured the internet for more budget friendly options. I narrowed my choices down to Koio and Oliver Cabell. With all honesty, The determining factor was the price.
So I committed to the grey Oliver Cabell Low 1. The shoes arrived on 4 days as the purchase was made on a Thursday. The shoes greeted me with a wonderful smell of conditioned leather. The quality was evident. My typical Jordan Retros don’t have nearly the quality leather of the Low 1. Out of the box the shoes were a stiff leather however the “break in” time was minimal. Within the first two wearings the shoes already felt comfortable. After the recent purchase I decided to head to the mall to try on a pair of common projects. A trip to Nordstroms solidified my decision and affirmed the correct choice. The common projects were twice the cost of my Oliver Cabell. They were more recognizable than my Oliver Cabells but my shoes looked phenomenal compared to the Common Projects. I teach in Philly and my students give me multiple compliments despite the fact they aren’t retros or New Balances (staples in Philly).
I have had the shoes for a month and wear them at least 3 times a week. The can be seeded down or up and compliment a more minimalist approach to fashion. Many of my outfits constant of slacks/ chinos and basic tees. The pleasant leather smells still greets me daily though I wear the shoes sans socks. Anyone looking for a Common Projects alternative will be pleasantly surprised and thoroughly rewarded. The only con is they scuff easily. This however adds to the worn look while maintaining the basic look and integrity of the shoe. I will be meeting with my friend from out of town soon and maybe we can compare first hand experiences with our Common Projexts and Oliver Cabells. This review is in no way meant to bash Common Projects but to compare. But let’s be honest, many of us here are looking for the Common Projects quality and asthetic on a budget. At $180 these shoes are well worth it! No buyers remorse over here. I would recommend these to anyone.

title: Common Projects alternative, great leather, minimal break-in
detailedReviews 6: content: Purchased these and had to exchange for a larger size. It was very simple and I received the new ones quickly. These shoes are perfect. I spend a lot of money on shoes. I typically purchase Ferragamo, Hermes or Tods. I could not find a good white one that I did not already have from those brands. I ordered Common Projects and they were very uncomfortable when putting them on my feet, so I returned them immediately. When I received the right shoe size from OC, I knew I had found what I had been searching for. Do not hesitate in buying these. I have saved hundreds of dollars now that I have found my new go to shoe for sneakers. I ordered a pair for my wife immediately.

title: Perfect white sneakers, comfortable, saved hundreds of dollars
detailedReviews 7: content: Been looking for new premium sneakers for a long time now, but it has been surprisingly difficult to find something that eschews logos and design quirks. Only candidates I hadn't discarded before I stumbled across Oliver Cabell were Common Projects' Achilles and Axel Arigato's Clean 90. The former has rapidly gone from value for money to greedily overpriced (and of course way too popular among people who care) in a couple of years, and the latter struggles with size consistency as well as being somewhat lower quality.
Had no previous experience of Oliver Cabell, but reviews were promising and €180 sounded reasonable. Quality feel out of box was excellent. Leather and craftsmanship wise they stack up well against Common Projects. My feet are the bastard love children Donald Duck and a T Rex - wide, high arches and instep - so the fit was another pleasant surprise. Size 12 US are really comfortable, for comparison the fit reminds me of Gucci's classic low tops.
Only used them a half dozen times so far, but overall impression is that these are the best value for money premium sneakers I've come across by a fair margin. Recommended.

detailedReviews 8: content: Every wardrobe needs a few classics. Items that can go with anything, be dressed up or down. These Low White Gums are exactly that. Beautifully made, the craftsmanship doesn't shout but whispers quality.
I am wearing them in `London, where Cabell is not yet well known. People ask every day.

detailedReviews 9: content: I'm so glad I ordered the Low 1s! I was initially considering buying Common Projects because they seemed like the gold standard of minimalist leather sneakers, but after doing some research I realized how overpriced they are put next to something like Oliver Cabell. Oliver Cabell offers the same (if not better) quality as a brand like Common Projects for half the price! For me, these shoes fit perfectly and are very comfortable. They have a beautiful, clean and sleek design that I feel like could be dressed up or down no problem. I already have white leather sneakers so I decided to get the Slate color, which is a beautiful light gray. Highly recommend the Low 1s to anyone in the market for a premium leather sneaker, you can't go wrong here!

title: Same or better quality than Common Projects, half price
detailedReviews 10: content: These are my first OC's and my first low profile sneakers in general, and I'm impressed. I wear mostly Nike sneakers so the low profile was a welcome change; the shoes definitely give a more sophisticated feel. I wear size 13 in Nikes and bought the same size of the OCs; they were admittedly snug at the beginning, but after a few weeks of limited wear the leather upper and footbed/sole began to stretch/conform to my foot. After this break-in period they fit great. The leather on the outside is pretty durable and holds up well to scuffs; the interior leather is quite soft so you can go sockless w/o issue. I wore these shoes throughout Europe on my June '21 honeymoon and they were a hit. Def will be buying more colorways and would recommend that you cop a pair
