I think when most people imagine a New Balance, they’re picturing the 574. It has to be one of their best selling shoes of all time. It’s the iMac to 990’s Power Mac G3. Polaroid box camera vs SX-70. The 574 is iconic through its ubiquity.
It’s not the most premium, nor does it have the greatest collabs. But it is the emblematic workhorse of the lineup, and has been for decades.
