items: items 1: content: This eau de parfum (edp) version of The One by Dolce & Gabbana is a gorgeous fragrance. Created by Oliver Polge and released in 2015, this edp is one of the most sophisticated, yet mass-appealing scents I've come across thus far. Top notes include: grapefruit, coriander, and basil. Heart notes settle into orange blossom, ginger, and cardamon which hovers over basenotes of tobacco, amber, and cedar-wood. Nothing stands out as overwhelming. Perhaps, most prominent (at least to me) is the orange blossom, ginger, cardamon, tobacco, and the amber. A true delight for the sense. The only draw back is the silage and longevity. Not much projection from this fragrance, but that's absolutely okay due to the fantastic scent. It shares some characteristics with vintage (2011) l'homme by YSL, which I've gotten to smell recently, while being a completly different fragrance altogether. They don't smell alike, but they have a similar depth of character, of which vintage l'homme is a much, much fuller scent, leaving no space unmapped, while at the same time not having the same richness of spice as Dolce & Gabbana's The One. This scent, Dolce Gabanna The One, is a scent that can be used for just about any occasion, any time of year, day or night. It a wonderful fragrance! I like it very much!

items 2: content: This is by far one of the best if not the best date night fragrances ever released. It’s a warm but yet a little fresh, spicy and sweet seductive fragrance. It’s the one you’d wear to a date if you wanted to project sex appeal, I haven’t found a better fragrance for that purpose than The One and hence it’s name, it truly is The One and only for that one purpose of seduction. It opens up with a soft wave of fresh citrusy grapefruit and ginger with some perfectly rounded spicy notes that grabs your attention right away. As it moves into the middle notes, which is where it really shines, you get that nice combo of the orange blossom and ginger with the cardamom and sweetness. Once it dries down completely, it’s a thick soft, sweet and woody blend with interestingly enough, hints of tobacco to perfectly round it up and give some spiciness to it. The only “complain” I could about this fragrance is that it’s performance it’s not great but works just well for the purpose of a date. It is not long lasting and neither is it loud in projection, but this works out just fine for a date!, since you’d definitely want to be discovered while using this fragrance than announce the whole room that you’ve arrived, it works for the seduction aspect.

The ambery notes are well-presented, but not in an overwhelming way that makes the fragrance too intense. The notes are very balanced, making it perfect for important events or dinners at a restaurant. I’d also like to mention the great spray system—it’s convenient and easy to use. Overall, the 100 ml bottle lasted me for two years of use, which is wow. Highly recommend 😄

Must spray liberally to have results, 6-10 sprays in distributed spots give a great effect (can last 5-8 hours this way). For close/indoor use I recommend 3-5 sprays. There is a lot of depth to the scent which gives it enticing attraction and the desire to smell more of it. I can easily notice the freshness and deeper sweet tobacco notes which make it complex. Great for casual usage all year round, regardless of what people say about this being a "date" fragrance. Easily suitable to be a signature and unoffensive when worn appropriately.

items 6: content: Dolce and Gabbana is a hit or miss designer house. They will deliver a strange flanker, or one that doesn’t perform for more than an hour. Yet wow with their The One EDP they have the proverbial home run. This is among the best scents you can buy. Reasonably priced and maximum versatility. If you’re to buy one DG, please make it this one. Years ago I scoffed at the name. “The One” seems so narcissistic. Unlike those toxic folks, this one is stunningly beautiful. Okay let’s first look at the history of this cologne. First in 2011 or 2012 came the EDT. A intoxicating aroma, but it only lasted an hour or two. Why carry a bottle with you on the go? DG fixed this, as the One EDP was manufactured starting in 2015. Oliver Puig is the nose, and his releases speak for themselves. That experience delivers this aroma pleasing scent. Here is one that’s office safe, yet will have ladies complimenting you. It’s quite masculine, but it doesn’t have sharp edges. Instead it’s a refined fragrance, best for 30 and up. One of the best date night options. Only season I wouldn’t recommend, is for summer on really hot days. Spring, fall, and winter show off the warmth and regal radiance this one conveys. Ginger and coriander mix up, and are fused with cardamom, Amber, cedar, and well done tobacco. Imagine a more modern and romantic Burberry London. That’s what this is in many ways, and there are some who say this is a but like Dior Homme. I’d say that one has more of a flower smell. A good one while this is great! Get yourself this for you, or that special one for Christmas. It’s not a maximum blasting beast, but more evenly keeled and seductive. That’s what brings the ladies in. You can wear this in casual or fancy occasions. It has a niche quality to it, and could be the best designer. You’ll definitely want this, as the scent, bottle, and atomizer are far above excellence.

items 7: content: I absolutely love this EDP version of "The One!" I have worn the original EDT for many years (which is now considered a classic) since it launched. For some reason this EDP flanker was hard to find here when it launched. But a couple of years later I found it at Maximum fragrance and it was love at first smell! It's a very sexy fragrance! It's still has that classic scent to it. I always get major compliments when I wear this. It's a bit more smokier than the original IMO. That ginger, amber and tobacco really stand out with this one. Performance is decent. I get about 7 to 8 hours with a couple of hours of projection. This is a perfect date night fragrance! 👌🏻

I can appreciate how it changed the game back when it first came out and how it still remains popular today. The ginger mixed with coriander, amber and tobacco really stands out though I don't find the tobacco to be very strong. Theres also a light sweetness and floral component. A very enjoyable scent, I'd say a pretty safe blind buy as well. It's intimate, sits close to the skin, but I think that's what this fragrance was made to do seeing as how its quite sensual. I just wish it lasted longer and preformed better but for the price it's good. Just over spray 5 to 10 sprays and your golden. 8/10.

I’ll first say it doesn’t have the longest lasting power (6 Hours or so and it’s gone). But while it’s working, it does very well. It comes across as a rather boozy, spicy, warm fragrance. The tobacco and amber mixed with cardamom creates an irresistible blend. Though this is a masculine fragrance, if you’re a woman who likes sweet, spicy almost boozy fragrances you could wear this easily. My fiancé will layer this with Elizabeth James Nirvana Bourbon to create a superb combo. #fragrance #reviews

items 14: content: OK so this is one that all the ladies say drives them crazy and ya know... Well, I can tell you why. This stuff smells more like a womens perfume rather than mens cologne especially in the opening. At first it smells like a waxy scented candle. Then it smells like air freshener. A little while later it finally starts to smell like something for men during the dry-down with a hint of woods and cinnamon spice. But the dry-down also brings the smell of lotion or sunscreen in the ending. Im glad this stuff has a low projection. Its an aquired smell if you are a man but I can see why women like it. One time purchase for me. Next.
