items 3: content: Wow! First time owning a Playstation. After having spent sometime at Best Buy talking over it with the very knowledge staff. I applied for a Best Buy credit card and was granted credit right there on the spot! I used the card to not only purchase my new PS 5, I also got a great deal on a home theater sound system to complement and enhance my gaming experience.
If you haven't had the Playstation experience, and not sure if you want to, I can say as a gamer from the 80's and this being my first time owning a Playstation I am so impressed and couldn't be happier!
Easy to set up and navigate through its good to familiarize yourself with the menu, settings and controller options. Most of these have easy to follow in-game tutorials and support.
The DualSense Wireless Controller fits nicely in your hands and has many features, (I played through the Astro's PLAYROOM tutorial, that was pre-installed with my PS5 console) Super fun and easy to interact with, you'll be surprised and amazed by the many functions of this controller designed to give you the ultimate gaming experience!
The PS5 Console looks amazing. Out of the box it has white detachable face plates which can be swapped out for different designs and colors, (I changed mine to Black)
Most come with the standard features and products like power cords, USB cables. (Check your box for details) Knowing how to take on and off the face plate will help with cleaning and general maintenance.
I have my PS5 Horizontal in a dust free area, and it looks great and fits right in. For my first gaming experience I chose the game Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered for the PS5. Playing this game on an Olde screen really puts you into another world. You can tell a lot of care went into the game, as some of the details are stunning. I often stop just to watch the sunset. With the controller rumbling and pushing out sound effects from the game just puts you even deeper into this beautiful colored and vibrant world.

I’ll start with the loading speeds. after playing on the PS5 i realized the drastic change in loading speeds as i realized loading screens were almost non existent. Not just in games but booting them up is so much faster than on a PS4. The graphics and visuals are beautiful making any game you play on a PS5 run smoothly and beautifully as if you are watching movies. Lastly the controller haptic feedback which is one of the biggest reasons why i bought this console. The controllers are way more immersive in mainly shooter games as there is resistance in the triggers that imitate as if you were actually pulling a trigger from an actual gun. Another thing is the recoil in the triggers. I don’t know how they were able to do this but now when you hold down the controller triggers they vibrate and imitate recoil to make it feel more real and immersive. Now of course if you do not like the feeling of the feedback you can turn this setting off. But I could not help but smile the whole time as I was playing the PS5 and I was just amazed at the technology and the huge leap in Playstation. If you have the money i would 100% recommend picking yourself up a PS5 from your local best buy.

items 5: content: After not being able to get a PS5 in 2020 due to buying a (at the time) $1,700 dollar PC gaming rig. The way my friends spoke about it was basically saying that the PS5 was a pipe dream. So I finally got one in the beginning of May to play God of War Ragnarok, Spiderman Miles Morales, Gran Turismo and Spiderman 2. After installing and setting it up it is 100% worth the hype and praise for a 500 dollar console. It runs beautifully at 60fps on all of my games I purchased, and even on games like NBA 2K and Madden having those frames and performance boosts can make or break your competitive games.
What I also love the most about it is 2 things, one is having a optional security passcode for each time you turn on your PS5 and logging in. Even though I use it only in my house it helps when uninvited guests come over and try to play your console without permission. And the 2nd thing is that the gameplay capture system on board has been greatly improved from the PS4. You can now on the fly record or snap clips from up to a 1 hour ago, and now you can snap as little as 10 seconds, to 15, 30, 1 minute, 5, and then 10 minutes and beyond. The footage is also crystal clear surprisingly at 1080P 60FPS with your choice of upping to 1440P or 4K. Huge step up from the PS4 as a content creator, YouTuber, or Streamer.
I also love the new PS5 controller! It is such a step up from the PS4 controller that I loved and they made improvements. Firstly the battery lasts 3 to 4 times longer than the PS4 controller battery, has an onboard mic in the controller and toggle mute button that I didn't even find out until a couple nights ago. And it also features an almost engraved Playstation button pattern for the controller shell, and has adaptive triggers that will enhance gameplay and adjust depending on the game you're playing.
I've also purchased 3 PS5 Dualsense Edge Pro controllers for my games I play competitively on console and each controller I can set up to my exact liking and have up to 4 profiles on each. Just simply plug in run the software update and you're good to go. Will come in handy when I have friends over and we fire up fighting games or sports games. And the best part, is how it captures the PS3 era with specific games playing a theme to it on the home screen when you hover over your game.
Overall, it is a great console and makes me wish I could've gotten it sooner before I switched to PC gaming. I always been a PlayStation kid since the original Sony PlayStation, all the way up to the PlayStation 5. And each console has not let me down. I genuinely feel like a kid again unboxing my new PlayStation for the first time. And I'm already loving the exclusives that PlayStation has to offer along with recommended modern titles like God of War and Need For Speed. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to save New York from Rhino and Sandman with Peter Parker and Miles Morales!

So I figured why bother. But Best buy gave me a good credit deal during the holidays and I bought this and a TV. I'm having a blast with the PS5 even though I'm playing some of the same games. I'm replaying Ghost of Tsushima from the start after I've already beaten it on the PS4. It's even more beautiful. I'm playing God of war Ragnarok which is awesome. The haptic feedback controllers alone are worth the price of admission. I really enjoy the feedback I get in the R2/L2 buttons on my racing games. Bought a couple new games, they kind of suck, but I'm still glad I upgraded. I just hope they start making some good original games again. Seems like covid killed that. The graphics are excellent. I PC gamed for years until the PS3, which was a step down, but my son became old enough to play games. The PS4 has pretty good graphics. But this PS5 is the first time I've seen really strong graphics on a console. It looks great, especially on a Sony OLED TV.

The in depth but friendly ui on the Home Screen, beautiful games and haptic feedback, fun with old games and new alike, and since it can play ps4 games, I sold my ps4 to a friend who hadn’t gamed since the Super Nintendo and she’s having a blast! I cannot recommend the ps5 enough. I have a pc that I play as well, but it sometimes takes a while to fiddle with downloads, updates, etc and this is a great just cut on and go console, the ps5 games run okay on pc but the system runs them flawlessly of course, my series x still holds fun for me but the ps5 reignited my interest and fun with gaming. Ps2 was my all time favorite console and I haven’t had so much fun in a PlayStation since then until now. If you’ve got the money and are still debating it, go ahead and join in on the fun!

Playing Returnal with my Ps5 Pro controller, the onboard speaker actually does a lot for immersion!
They've got it down.
It turns on my Sony TV when I turn it on, and turns off when my tv turns off. My TCL doesn't do that.
The headphone jack works great, even though it shuts off the speakerss on the TV, that's actually a benefit, because it's rare that you would want both and my wife can use it with no hassle.
PS Plus is as good as Gamepass ever was now.
Tons of PS1, PS2 and PS3/4 titles that you can download immediately or stream instantly.
I can be nostalgic at the drop of a dime and I love it.
Watching YouTube on my TV with headphones through the controller allows me to watch quietly with a big setup and mostly wirelessly.
The haptic controllers are a really cool experience and are fun sometimes even if not all the time!
Sony is more compatible with USB microphones that Xbox and you can just plug in some headphones that have a microphone without complicated work arounds like Xbox.
It HDMI 2.1 for high refresh rates and resolutions, even if not customizable like a PC, the default settings often just work best.
Overall, very pleased with mine.
I was going to wait and upgrade to the Pro, but I haven't noticed any reason to do so. I'm a pretty discerning user, as I love high resolution and frame rates. So that's saying a lot!
I also was doing some upgrades to my NAS (hard drive storage unit) and ordered an extra SSD.
Well well well. My Xbox can't use that for extra storage, but my Sony Can!
I DO tend to play my Xbox more because it has Roboquest. And that is really the only reason. I prefer the experience of my PS5 in almost every way.

I had an Xbox Series S, but when I got rid of GamePass I realized I had no games for it. However, I already had some digital PS games as well as a bunch of PS4 games in the house, and thanks to the disk drive, I can play all of them without issue. Some PS4 games even get some enhancements for the PS5.
The value of being able to play the older titles is really what makes the PS5 worth picking up, in my opinion.
On top of everything else, the stock PS5 controller has to be the best stock controller I’ve used. It has just the right weight, the layout and grip are more comfortable than previous PlayStation controllers, and some of the built in features like the HD rumble and trigger feedback are incredibly impressive and fun to use. The only controller I like more is the Xbox Elite series 2, but due to the price difference, I have to recommend the stock PS5 controller over it,

They also always has something new for you try for free and or buy, and having the 3 tiers of access/prices makes it awesome for everyone’s budget.
