detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: If you’re on the fence READ THIS, I’ve struggled with foot pain and uncomfortable shoes since middle school/ high school and these have honestly changed my life. I’m really picky about shoes and how they fit, and my feet are honestly weak and hurt easily:
So historically I’ve worn the vans checkered slip-ons my entire life and some pair of Nike running shoes for any sports or general exercise activities. By the end of middle school my vans were hurting my feet and my running shoes were the only thing i could wear if i had to be on my feet for an extended amount of time or do any exercise. Then Nike stopped making my favorite pair and when trying on new ones every single one felt way too narrow with practically zero platform to stand on and hurt my feet. For a little context I’ve always had slender feet and worn my shoes super tight bc i didn’t like any wiggle room at all. I was really shocked nothing was even slightly comfortable and for a time it was fine bc i had graduated high school and wasn’t really doing much at all. Then i decided to enroll in cosmo school and we’re on our feet all day like nurses are so i desperately needed new shoes that were actually comfortable for all day support because the last three years or so I’ve had issues with bad heel pain when on my feet for an extended period of time. I saw new balance were amongst popular brands for nurses and decided to try some on and i tried these on in store and thought they were pretty comfortable for a non-running shoe without insoles, but wasn’t confident my feet wouldn’t hurt anyways by the end of the day. I’ve worn these constantly for about three months now and i can 100% say these are so comfortable and I’m getting a second pair to switch between so the first can air out since i have sweaty feet. My feet do not hurt at all after being on them for 8 hours throughout the week and the wide toe box is a real game changer, I honestly find my old pairs of shoes that were previously pretty comfortable to be tight and make my feet sore after adjusting to these shoes. I genuinely cannot recommend these enough, if you can go try these on near you, they’re such a game changer and have saved my feet.

title: Life-changing comfort for foot pain
detailedReviews 2: content: I have small but wide feet, with a high arch and a high instep. As I’ve aged and mobility has become an issue, laces have become a challenge. I’m preparing for a trip to Europe where there will be lots of walking, and was in search of a comfortable, supportive shoe that didn’t look like I was going to walk on the moon. This was recommended on a travel blog so I gave it a shot. It’s my first pair of NB and I’m very pleased. I haven’t yet worn them on my trip but have been wearing them regularly to walk on the treadmill. No rubbing or discomfort, plenty of room in the toe box, and I’ve been able to tie them so they’re hands-free. The arch support isn’t quite enough for my very high arches so I do use inserts, but even with those in, the shoes still aren’t too tight across my instep - a game changer. I’ve paid a lot more for sneakers I hardly wear. Paris, here I come!

detailedReviews 3: content: I love my new NB 574s. I’m a big walker, 3-5 miles a day. I have been searching for a shoe to help end the burning pain in my toes. I have tried the ortho-wide-toed shoes, and while there is less pain, they still didn’t to the trick. So I decided to try the NB 574, size 6, but rather than a size 6 normal width, I went with the W-wide width. WOW-this is the comfiest shoe I’ve tried. I can literally wear this shoe all day long! Please do not ever stop making this model. And, the bonus, they are very cute. 😊

detailedReviews 4: content: I bought these for a trip to Paris and they are going to be my new every day shoes. I am a female size 8.5 normally in women’s that needs a wide toe box, so I got the men’s size 8 4E and it’s perfect! Has room for my custom insoles as well. I walked 17k steps with no problem! And they’re so cute even though they’re mens shoes. They also go with everything, dress down a dress for a walk in town, or with yoga pants for a workout. Very well made great materials. Also, New Balance is definitely the new way to go… I feel it used to be Nike but new balance caters much more to wider feet and I’d say the majority of people in Paris were also wearing NB!

detailedReviews 5: content: I bought these shoes to wear to work as a barista and I’m so glad I did. I have a pretty wide and flat foot so finding shoes that are actually comfortable for multiple hours is pretty hard. I can wear these shoes for 8+ hours with no pain. I’m usually a standard 10 in most shoes and since the website said to size up, I got a 10.5 wide. They are a little extra roomy but not like they are going to slip off. I can definitely see myself repurchasing this shoe multiple times.

detailedReviews 6: content: Great quality and comfort that’s hard to find and wide. I have wider feet and rarely can find shoes that fit my feet. I personally have my own insole I prefer to use but the insoles that came with the shoe were more or less average. I took a two week trip to Korea and the shoes never hurt at any point during the trip despite clocking in 15,000 + steps a day. Highly recommend these shoes.

detailedReviews 7: content: FIT: I bought these in a size 8.5 Wide (women's) and they fit smaller than average. My toes touch the front of the shoes when I walk (they become squished) and is uncomfortable. I compared the length of these to my 530's, which I also bought in 8.5 (women's), and the 574's were noticeably shorter in length compared to the 530's in the same size. I do like that these come in a wide option, and they do fit my wider feet better. They are a wider, more rounded toe-box. Size up half a size if you plan on getting these.
QUALITY: Solid construction but some parts are suede and they can get scuffed/dirty easily. Well-made heel and heel back does not rub against my heel. They are not the bounciest of shoes but does not feel like I'm walking on wooden planks.
Conclusion: I would've loved them had I gotten a half size larger. Runs wide, but short.

detailedReviews 8: content: These are, as described, a Lifestyle shoe. They are attractive and comfortable for that profile, which is what I was looking for. They work fine for a basic gym workout as well as general walks, but of course can't be expected to perform as a serious athletic shoe. One thing I wasn't aware of -- there is a small paper tag enclosed with the shoes stating that if they get wet, the color from the suede may bleed onto lighter parts of the shoe. Kind of wish I had known that up front, since I chose black, but so be it -- avoid walking in puddles. Overall the fit is good -- I have wide feet and they are generously sized in the normal average width. A person with narrower feet might find them a little too wide, but they work for me. At first I wasn't thrilled with the laces, as it was kind of tight loosening them and tightening them again, but that friction has eased with use. Happy with my shoes.

detailedReviews 9: content: Needed a back-up shoe for an upcoming overseas trip, something neutral that didn't scream tennis shoe, and so far, pre-trip, I'm very pleased with the 574 Core. I usually wear a 7.5 but ordered up to an 8, based on other reviews. With my medium-weight, cushioned quarter socks, sizing up was a good decision. I have high arches, and the support feels adequate enough. Love the roomy toe box and grippy sole. Shoe feels sturdy but not heavy. Honestly, my only "complaint" to date is that I wish the white part of the sole and the taupe part were reversed, so the white wasn't so close to the bottom of the shoe. It's already showing a lot of dirt after just a handful of wears.

detailedReviews 10: content: Lovely shoe, this is my second round of these having gone for the burgundy lat time time. I previously had 880's and they were slightly longer, so I am a 10.5 in 880's and an 11 in these. Width and toe box is as expected and gives me plenty of room. I am waiting for a total hip replacement and NB were recommended to me, if anyone is in the same boat I would recommend these as they provide excellent stability and tend not to wear on the edges like other brands/soles. The shoes seems to wear internally so look great externally and its just the internal support that gets tired. NB prices seem to have gone up quite a bit compared to others in the last few years so that is the only star I would take off. Wide Fit Shoes website are my go-to place, quick delivery and better stock than New Balance.
