snippets: so the phone has two cameras but it&#39;s a little bit of a weird one because the top camera is actually just an assist camera you can hold your finger over it and still perform basically every single function of your phone&#39;s camera the only thing that you can&#39;t do without it is add the portrait mode effect to your shots so if I take this photo while covering the lens it&#39;ll look like this if I take the same photo after having removed my finger it will look like this what do those photos look like well very nicely detailed you have plenty of room to zoom in further and they will still look sharp the wide aperture and decent sensor size gets you some nice foreground background separation and mostly Flawless High dynamic range I say mostly just because it&#39;s absolutely spot-on for Big scenes where there&#39;s an Overexposed sky but it often misses the small things like a bright light bulb in your shot that needs controlling, and you know what the video has no right to look this decent the phone shoots 4K footage at 30 frames per second and it doesn&#39;t feel particularly noisy which you might expect it to since this phone&#39;s chip doesn&#39;t have the best image signal processor it doesn&#39;t feel massively unstable which you might expected to given that this camera has no Optical image stabilization and the focusing isn&#39;t jittery which you might expect it to given that there&#39;s no laser autofocus or anything close to it the hardware of these cameras is nothing special for the price but it&#39;s the attention to fine tuning what is there that&#39;s the reason that you can record footage like this

hyperactive disco ass to speak of but that would have been a bit much at this price when you first boot up the cmf phone you can choose between the usual dotm Rex Shenanigans or a more stock Android Vibe I of course went full nothing OS to see how it would run here on the cmf phone one it's got the usual stylized widget Shenanigans plenty more of those to choose from if you dive into the widget section you got the usual androidy customization options including a good bit of AI wallpaper Shenanigans and personally I still prefer the nerdy anime stuff but this is quite interesting could be quite a good one for mixing it up a bit if you're bereft of ideas and personally I found that the nothing OS runs perfectly smoothly here on the cmf 41 Cas you know little Jers here and there but nothing you wouldn't expect from a budget blower and not too much in the way of Jank with this thing either despite the fact that I've been testing it pre- launch occasionally Netflix will act up a bit and I have had one hard reset nothing too Troublesome on with the cmf phone one nothing is guaranteed two Android OS updates and three years of security update so not the longest pledge in the world ever but certainly again for a budget friendly handset not too bad a reasonable chunk of that 256 gigs of built-in storage as you can see already used up although a massive amount of that is good old genin of course but as we've already seen expandable via micro SD in a pinch it just slides on into that second Sim lot of course and yeah no eim support here on the cmf phone1 not too surprising there what is more surprising and what a lot of people might be troubled by might actually put them off the cmf phone one entirely is the complete lack of NFC action so yeah that means no fun times with contactless payments here on the cmf phone one going to have to just tap your card like every other bugger and another twinge in the Aral region is the fact that you don't actually have a proper always on display here on the cmf phone one as you can see you get kind of of always on display popping up when you first hibernate the phone but then this swiftly buggers right off and you can only resurrect the Ruddy Thing by given the cmf1 one a swift pork or picking it up which is a bit of a really still that 6.67 in Super AMOLED panel is as good as you'll find at this budget price on any other blower it's a spacious full hdf at 2400x 1080 pixels pumping out perfectly sharp visuals nice fine detail when you're editing your pixel I kind of stuff allegedly it supports HDR 10 plus video streaming although the likes of Netflix completely refuse to acknowledge this it's not the brightest screen out there by any means but again not bad for the price tag I can still read messages Outdoors generally see what I'm doing even if it's a fairly sunshiny day you might just find yourself tilting the phone about the place a bit or occasionally seeking a little bit of shade if it's particularly bright out and when it's not quite ltp or Tech but it can scale down to 30 HZ and always way up to 120 HZ and sacrifices made on the audio front as it's just a mono speaker setup here no stereo action here sadly and the audio spaffed out by that single speaker an exactly fantastic literally landed about 3 hours ago at a heath ra after what felt like a full frig day of traveling so I certainly smell anything but fresh like basically imagine if Oscar the Grouch did his own cologne that's pretty much my Aroma right now so a bit crackly and everything when you bump up the volume at least it's reasonably loud when you do Max it outo so that's something, The camera setup of the nothing cmf phone 1 is rather simple on the back there's just a 50 megap main cam plus a depth sensor, and then it's more good news when it comes to the battery life on this bad boy you've got a 5,000 milliamp capacity cell crammed inside of that chunky chassis probably not really crammed to be fair it's prob sitting in there quite happily and I found that the cmf phone one serves up over 8 hours of screen on time in the average day even with a fair bit of camera action video streaming good bit of audio streaming as well lots of podcast and music action on the go when the phone is hibernating so certainly just as reliable and dependable in The Battery area as most of its budget Rivals when it comes to charging the bugger backup again you got 33 w wide charging which is perfectly respectable although obviously not a patch from what you'll get with some Pock Rivals etc no wireless charging support however you do have 5w reverse charging support so you can use this phone as a makeshift power bank to charge up your accessories like smart watches earbuds things like that
