French size is 40.5 if French is considered European sizing then this is not 8.5 women but I also don't think this shoe is 8.5 Men's because I think it would be too small. Something is very wrong. I'm sad because this shoe in this color is sold out everywhere but I have to return.

detailedReviews 2: content: I ordered the Campus 00s Sneaker in the white/black/off white colorway and I think they're really cute for casual wear. The came with chunky white laces, but the box also included black laces. I've yet to wear them out so I can't speak to comfort or durability, but they do run large. I normally wear a size 6, but the smallest size Nordstrom had at the time was 5.5 and they still feel a bit big - I had to pull the laces really tight to make sure the shoe doesn't slip off. I think if I wore thicker socks it could work. For reference, I have a pair of Adidas Gazelle from 5 years ago and I got those in a size 5 - they fit great! They stretched out even more after all these years so I'm worried the Campus will do the same. Still debating whether to keep these or buy a size 5 elsewhere.
