items: items 1: content: I used to love this product. It was my all time favorite, and go-to before workouts or anytime I didn't want something heavy on my skin. My face loved it, it soaked it up and felt wonderful. However, I recently bought one from a big store retailer and it seemed like a completely different product. It now has a stronger smell, is thicker, a bit sticky on the skin, and it burned my face so bad that I had to wash it off within a few minutes. My eyes remained irritated for the rest of the evening even though I only used it up to the brow line and under the eyes. I still had a little left in my older container so on a different day I tried it and the old one was just as I remembered it, wonderful. A week or so later and I tried the new one and it had the same disastrous effect, burning and eye irritation that took awhile to heal. So I don't know what was changed, but judging by the amount of reviews describing similar experiences, something is different and not for the better. I beg you, please go back to the old formula! Thr one that I bought directly from the company is thinner, has less color, is barely fragrant, and my skin just soaks it up and it feels wonderful. This one is thicker, darker yellow, much more fragrant, feels sticky on my face, and even burns a little. I have compared using the two and they are not the same. Also, the container was leaking some when it arrived. Sadly, I think this is a fake, which I was not expecting from Walmart. I'm very disappointed.

items 3: content: I’m a big fan of serum infused moisturizers/pressed serums so I was excited to try this out. My first impression was that it had a very lovely scent and was a completely different texture than every other similar product I’ve tried. It did not look like a moisturizer. It is quite a bit oilier than I expected, but I l like the way it feels on the skin. I wish it was thicker and more of a moisturizer consistency. It does take a long time to soak in, so for me this would be better for night or on days where I’m not wearing makeup. Its way to oily for me to be able to apply make up over it, even if I wait an hour. It’s very hydrating, but very light, so I could see myself using this on hot summer nights when the AC has sucked the moisture from my skin, or before a plane ride. I found that it was very brightening, even when used at night, and gave my skin a natural glow. It almost looked as though I had just gotten a really nice facial. Unfortunately, after a few days of use I broke out on one side of my face on my upper cheek. I loved how the rest of my face looked, but the breakout is a deal breaker for sure. I don’t have particularly sensitive skin, and it’s normal-dry, so break outs are very uncommon for me. Because of that I won’t purchase this. title: Caused breakouts on one side of face

items 4: content: I have been trying to find a replacement for the discontinued oil-free daily moisturizer (by another brand) that I had used for over a decade, and was hoping this was the answer, but sadly, it is not. I have large pores and sensitive, oily skin and I already was using Kiehl's Calendula toner, which I like, so I had high hopes for this moisturizer. Unfortunately, this product never fully absorbs (no matter how little I apply) and feels tacky and heavy on my skin. It makes my face look shiny and my skin tone weirdly uneven, even when used under an oil-control primer and oil-free foundation. I have never had luck with gel moisturizers, and would not have even tried this one had the description more clearly noted that this is a gel. After two weeks of use, I will be throwing this moisturizer out. Back to the drawing board!

items 5: content: first off id like to state i recieved this as a free sample from influenster in the 1.7 oz jar. my first thoughts were ingredients, as learning more about them from tati and other youtubers i only have one face of skin. i was shocked to see the dimethicone at the top, in one of the first 3 ingredients, and had a hard time finding the calendula near the bottom. yet i still had to give it a try, the smell was...different. it smelled good but in a more natural smelling way, and so to the application. it was very rich, no doubt about that, almost like vaseline texture on my finger. however once applied accordingly, it did lighten up a lot, and despite the dimethicone, it absorbed into my skin about 2 hours after my skin felt no more slick dew feeling, but still hydrated& dewy looking without the sitting on top feeling it had at first. ive only used it for a few days now so i guess i have no long term results to disclose, but saddened because this could have been so much better without the dimethicone. very happy its water based at least. i have dry to combo acne prone skin as well. if youre against dimethicone i wouldnt suggest, but if you dont mind the more lengthy absorption then id say yes. im using at night only so it doesnt prevent makeup from staying on my skin during the day, and so far that has worked the best.

items 6: content: I was super excited when the box came in because I was looking for a new moisturizer. This arrived quickly and I put it to use the very first day. This product is light and goes on like silk, but I feel it’s more for those who have dry skin. It does have a wonderful scent to it, but this just wasn’t for me.
This moisturizer is very greasy, almost like silicone, which works amazing for those with dry skin. I would definitely recommend avoiding this product if you have combination or oily skin cause my face was VERY shiny after a few hours. Ultimately leading to me needing to use powder ever hour or so to avoid looking silly.
I gave it to my sister (who has dry skin) and it worked wonders for her. Her skin looked moist and supple and even glowed a little. Since then, the Kiehl's Calendula Serum-Infused Water Cream has become a staple in her daily skin care routine.

items 7: content: I really really wanted to love this because it was supposed to be this lightweight water cream, which to me seemed like it should easily absorb into my skin and leave my face feeling clean and hydrated enough. In pics of the cream itself it also looks like it’s a gel cream, but it’s not. Maybe my skin is not right for it, because it doesn’t dry down on me. It kind of just sits on top of my skin making me feel like there’s a lightly greasy layer on my face. Even when I try to use only a little bit. I still have a whole tub of it so I only use it at night just so I can try to use it up It has a citrusy lemony scent by the way, for those who need to know about fragrance in their skincare. I’m ok with the scent- I’m not much of a lemon scent person but this one is not too strongly lemony to me. it’s tolerable

items 8: content: So, to start off I want to compliment the texture of this moisturizer. It’s very rich and feels like it would be effective. However, the effectiveness is honestly minimal. I have a dry/dehydrated skin type and this product was recommended. I applied it at night, and it felt nice on my face. But it didn’t really sink in. It just kind of sat there. So, I left it and went to bed to see if it would change by morning. It sunk in a tiny bit more by morning but my face was left so ridiculously shiny and slick to the touch. Not in a nice dewy way but in a greasy, disgusting way. I blame a lot of the issues with this product on the dimethicone. I tried it a few more times, only applying a small amount of product to the driest patches on my face and the result was the same. The actual hydration was barely noticeable but rather my face had been become an oily abomination. It’s extremely rare for my face to become oily like that, so I knew the product was to blame. At the end of the day I tossed it. I wouldn’t recommend it or want to waste money on it.

items 9: content: I received this product from Influenster in a Voxbox for my honest review. I’ve been using it now for just over a week and these are my thoughts. The smell...ugh the smell. It reminds me of Lemon Pledge. The smell is pretty strong and lingers for quite some time. Normally scented products don’t bother me but this is not pleasing. I do like the consistency of it. It’s more of a gel and gives a slight cooling sensation. I’ve found it takes ages for it to actually sink in and when it finally does it left a sticky residue behind on my skin. My skin is on the dry side and I didn’t find this product Hydrating at all. In fact it felt like it made me even dryer. It also didn’t play nice with any of my primers or foundations I used with it. It just seemed to make everything separate. Most likely has something to do with the silicone in it. I use water based products. I then tried it alone at night to see if that made a difference. It just wasn’t Hydrating enough for my skin. I was disappointed in this cream. I’ve used several different products from Kiehls that I’ve truly loved. This particular one was a huge fail for me.

items 10: content: First off, dimethicone is a huge no no for many people. However for it being the 2nd ingredient i will say it did absorb much faster than i expected. But due to it still taking a few hours for me to not feel it on my face, im only applying at night to not risk affecting my makup lasting power. The smell was, odd, but in a good natural not heavily fragranced way. The actual texture was amazing, very rich, like most luxurious creams are, but once applied onto the skin and rubbed in the water based kicks in and slims it out, and what i most like is a lottle goes a long way. Most creams say a pea size amount and i need much more, but this a pea size actually spread out over my entire face pretty well, but would need more for the neck if youre into that. Over all, would purchase in the future if they have a similar dimethicone free version or comparible product in this line. Wish the calendula extract wasnt at the very bottom of the ingredients list either, but still pleased!
