I used selsum blu shampoo religiously. Finally one winter day I went out after showering and my wet hair froze. i jokingly went to snap it and my hair was so damaged, thin, and broken that i actually broke my frozen hair off in my hands. my hair was stringy and oily, dull, frizzy, genuinely terrible. it could stand up on its own like a broomstick. i knew i had to change because self care makes me feel more confident and i hoped that fixing my hair would help me break out of the mental slump i was in. I bought this shampoo that winter/spring (2022). I used it for the next year, a little goes a long way and i only washed once every three days. slowly i saw my hair change from terrible to okay to better to AMAZING. Less fall out, barely any breakage, shiny and bright, not frizzy… it even helped me transition from washing every night to every three nights because it controlled my oil so well. about 6 months ago i switched to a cheaper shampoo because i just figured that the reason my hair became so much healthier was because i stopped using Selsum Blue, not because I started using Genesis. Was i wrong. I tried another decent quality brand (nexxus) and my hair started looking terrible. I switched to another expensive brand (biolage) and it still didn’t look good; it became dull and the breakage started again like it did in the past and my hair fall when brushing got much worse. yesterday i bit the expensive bullet and repurchased this shampoo in hopes it would return my hair to how it was before i switched. after ONE WASH my hair is back to how it was when using Genesis for a year. When i was using this consistently, people would literally stop me and compliment my hair. I am so happy that I repurchased this yesterday. The difference really is that noticeable. If you’re experiencing anything like I was, just buy it.

I currently use the Nutritive line, BUT I got this as mini samples, and have been using them. The genesis lime is designed to help with hair fall due to breakage and brushing. They have the shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and scalp serum. I have been using their serum since August and IT DOES HELP WITH HAIR FALL. the shampoo and conditioner are no exception. Since I started using these samples, I've noticed that my hair is falling way less on washday. I also notice that it falls less during the day, when I touch my hair; I don't see any chunk of hair coming off my head, as it was happening a couple months ago (prior to using kerastase products). Not only I noticed less hair fall, but I also noticed new hair growth. This line works wonders for those battling with hair loss. Please be aware that this is only a supplement to help aliviate the symptoms and is not a solution for a more serious condition causing hair loss. I am only talking from experience. I've notice that hair growth when I looked at a picture from August 2022, where you could see noticeable hair loss on the sides of my forehead, because I used to put my hair up, very tightly. And it loom like I was almost balding. Now, is all new hair growth.

It turns my shower into a high end salon with a subtle, sophisticated scent. I have fine, thin hair and I have found this to really strengthen my hair is a very short period of time. The shampoo and conditioner give my hair shine and volume and bounce! I shampoo every 3rd day and am surprised that I don't even have to use dry shampoo on my third day! I also absolutely love the serum. I put it on my ends and then style as normal and it helps to prevent frizzies and flyaways. This shampoo has been a gamechanger for my fine, color treated hair. I did just get my hair cut and highlighted prior to receiving the products, but I can say that my hair does actually feel stronger and more resilient since using it exclusively. I'm probably like most people and have multiple bottles of various shampoo/conditioner/elixirs in the shower, but I used this one solely since receiving it and found it made a huge difference in the texture and condition. I have tried several shampoos in the last 2 years and keep circling back to this line. I have added a few other products to my routine so I can't give this Kératase all the credit, but this shampoo and conditioner definitely helped!
Have just made my third purchase of the Anti-Fall and on the recommendation of my hairdresser I'm going to alternate it with Kératase Resistance Extentionste to strengthen what hair I now have.

The only thing I don't like is that the applicator, the big dropper doesn't seem to work well. I usually end up getting serum somewhere I don't want or putting too much because I can't handle how much comes out of the dropper because some comes out even if I don't squeeze the top.

I have super thin, fine hair so I suffer from excessive breakage when ever I brush my hair post shower! After using this shampoo for a few weeks, I find that I don't have to clean my brush out as often. There has been less breakage, and I'm left with silky locks. The smell of this shampoo is just an added bonus, it's comparable to a light citrus scent. My favorite thing about Kerastase Genesis Strengthening Shampoo is that it doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down, and doesn't leave a residue which usually makes my hair appear oily. This shampoo was a home run and I will be buying in the future!

I assumed it was the formula for dry hair vs. oily. Results at home exactly the same-- no difference in water quality. I should also say the salon used Kerastase's standard hair oil for all types, which I also bought. The scent for all products is very soft. I don't notice it unless I pick up a lock to smell it. But now that I can't stop touching my now-soft hair, I do. Thank you Kerastase for creating my forever shampoo!

1. I have semi-thick, curly/wavy hair.
2. I dedicate washing my hair 2 times a week.
3. My hair is normally dry/slight damaged at the ends, and semi oily on my scalp after 4 days.
4. I normally use Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo and Conditioner.
5. I have used Kerastase products in the past (scalp scrub and hair oil)
I give a full 5/5 star for this product. I think over time, my hair has gotten softer, silkier, and even can say it improved the damage I have had from heat. This is part of a 3-part system, so after the shampoo, you have the hair mask and a serum to put into your scalp. I would recommend going to Sephora to probably smell the hair product because this may be a bit strong for someone, but if I had to compare the scent... the first time I tried it, it reminded me of my first time walking to the Abercrombie and Fitch clothing store (lol). It has that smell that makes you just want to keep smelling, very perfumey, but I love it. The bottle is plastic and is like a normal pour into your hair. You don't really need much either and even after my 11 washes, I still have a lot left... maybe 80% of it! So although the price is pretty hefty ($35) I would actually pay for it just because of how it has improved the texture of my hair.
1 Con: I don't know if I necessarily see a LARGE difference in the claim that it reduces hair loss over time because of damage, BUT I do think there was a reduction in how much hair I did lose.

If you suffer with rosacea, the AAD recommends this type of product because sulfate can irritate the skin and may lead to symptoms on your scalp as well as on your face, shoulders, and back. PROS: Lightweight. Lathers up nicely just like the shampoo, and it makes my hair shiny, silky and bouncy. Hair feels stronger as well. CONS: Just like the shampoo, it has a sweet and powdery sort of smell. It’s not bad to be honest…. It is just not my favorite scent. Also, $44 for a 6.8oz conditioner is out of my price range. Overall, I do recommend this product because it is doing a great a good job restoring the damage, resulted from coloring my hair for so long. The shampoo/conditioner combo really delivers!

With the other ranges I've tried using a small amount of product goes a long way and therefore lasts longer but with range (especially the shampoo) I find that I have to use quite a bit more. I've also found that my hair feels a tad bit drier even though I used the conditionner and while my hair isn't a mess it's not as soft and silky as when I was using the other ranges. I even thought I might mix and match this shampoo with another of Kerastase's conditionners but what would be the point if the anti hair-fall part did not work. While I don't have strong feelings about this product one way or the other, it's definitely one I won't be ordering again. Meh! Been there, done that, didn't work, moving on.

It didn’t “lather” like many shampoos do, and it seemed to do nothing for scalp health. Also, the smell is extremely strong, more like perfume than shampoo. Not something I would enjoy smelling on my head all day. But again, my hair seems to be stronger so it fulfilled its purpose. I, however, wouldn’t recommend to a friend unless I forwarned them of the downsides as well.

My thoughts on this Kerastase shampoo and conditioner set: So I do like how the product looks, it is really attractive. The bottles look classy and I love the soft pink color! However, I really do not like the screw -top caps. It's annoying, and I would much prefer a flip-top cap or a pump. Just a little annoyance, for me personally. The smell, I also do not care for the fragrance. It is a very dish soap/laundry detergent scent, super clean smelling. I'd prefer something more feminine and softer scented, I just think of dollar store dish soap every time I use it which is unfortunate.
Now the product itself, my damaged bleached hair actually seems to like it. Since I've been using it, my hair feels silkier and has some nice shine to it. My hair looks and feels quite soft! It feels clean and I have good hair days when I use it. I really like the conditioner as well, it feels like a balm for my dry hair and makes it feel healthy again.
Overall I like it, I think it's fine, I personally would not purchase it again but I'll use what I have.

I do not recommend Bain Nutri-Fortifiant line but do recommend BAIN FORCE ARCHITECTE SHAMPOO (and the Living Proof Restore combo...) as there was a noticeable difference in my hair after I stopped using the routine.

My hair is fine, coloured and greying. When using the shampoo and conditioner it seems the range fluffs the cuticle probably to add the appearance of volume in the event of thinning hair. I actually need something more smoothing and moisturising having wavy bleached hair from a full head of balayage on dark brunette with a tendency to frizz. HOWEVER it does stop fall out, I persevered with a noticeable difference after 3 months. I just switched out the conditioner. I now use the shampoo only on my roots and scalp then follow mid lengths and ends with my normal Kerestasse discipline range. This seems to work for me helping reduce fall but achieving a smoother more polished look. Every 3 or 4 washes I switch it out for a scalp cleanse with Bain Divalent (green one) to reduce build up though, important for those who suffer with hair loss. Good product overall with a reasonable price point as many anti loss hair ranges are silly money, some may not like the smell though as it’s very sweet. Mines a repeat purchase and I would recommend giving it a go but might just need to tweak the regimen a bit to suit hair type.

I poured out a small amount (the same amount that I would use if my regular shampoo) but had to double that amount to get it throughout my hair. I also have recently cut my hair to shoulder length, but would have had to use the whole sample bottle if I still had long hair. It didn’t “lather” like many shampoos do, and it seemed to do nothing for scalp health. Also, the smell is extremely strong, more like perfume than shampoo. Not something I would enjoy smelling on my head all day. But again, my hair seems to be stronger so it fulfilled its purpose. I, however, wouldn’t recommend to a friend unless I forwarned them of the downsides as well.

detailedReviews 134: content: I take medication which makes me shed hair more easily which I need to continue taking. I tried this range when it was first released with mixed results. My hair is fine, coloured and greying. When using the shampoo and conditioner it seems the range fluffs the cuticle probably to add the appearance of volume in the event of thinning hair. I actually need something more smoothing and moisturising having wavy bleached hair from a full head of balayage on dark brunette with a tendency to frizz. HOWEVER it does stop fall out, I persevered with a noticeable difference after 3 months. I just switched out the conditioner. I now use the shampoo only on my roots and scalp then follow mid lengths and ends with my normal Kerestasse discipline range. This seems to work for me helping reduce fall but achieving a smoother more polished look. Every 3 or 4 washes I switch it out for a scalp cleanse with Bain Divalent (green one) to reduce build up though, important for those who suffer with hair loss. Good product overall with a reasonable price point as many anti loss hair ranges are silly money, some may not like the smell though as it’s very sweet. Mines a repeat purchase and I would recommend giving it a go but might just need to tweak the regimen a bit to suit hair type.

I walked out with wet hair (in a rush) and then dried and styled my hair at home. Wow! My long-ish straight hair has never looked better. It was incredibly soft and sleek looking, but more important, soft to the touch--"soft" is something I would never describe my hair as. (Looks good, but never soft.) It was transformed after one use, and I almost couldn't stop touching it. My hair also had body, specifically at the roots. I immediately texted my stylist to see if she could find out what shampoo/conditioner was used. And it was Genesis. Of course, I went online to order! I assumed it was the formula for dry hair vs. oily. Results at home exactly the same-- no difference in water quality. I should also say the salon used Kerastase's standard hair oil for all types, which I also bought. The scent for all products is very soft. I don't notice it unless I pick up a lock to smell it. But now that I can't stop touching my now-soft hair, I do. Thank you Kerastase for creating my forever shampoo!
PS: I have been using other Kerastase products for more than a year and have very much liked them, but Genesis is the one!

1. I have semi-thick, curly/wavy hair.
2. I dedicate washing my hair 2 times a week.
3. My hair is normally dry/slight damaged at the ends, and semi oily on my scalp after 4 days.
4. I normally use Biolage Smoothproof Shampoo and Conditioner.
5. I have used Kerastase products in the past (scalp scrub and hair oil)
I give a full 5/5 star for this product. I think over time, my hair has gotten softer, silkier, and even can say it improved the damage I have had from heat. This is part of a 3-part system, so after the shampoo, you have the hair mask and a serum to put into your scalp. I would recommend going to Sephora to probably smell the hair product because this may be a bit strong for someone, but if I had to compare the scent... the first time I tried it, it reminded me of my first time walking to the Abercrombie and Fitch clothing store (lol). It has that smell that makes you just want to keep smelling, very perfumey, but I love it. The bottle is plastic and is like a normal pour into your hair. You don't really need much either and even after my 11 washes, I still have a lot left... maybe 80% of it! So although the price is pretty hefty ($35) I would actually pay for it just because of how it has improved the texture of my hair.
1 Con: I don't know if I necessarily see a LARGE difference in the claim that it reduces hair loss over time because of damage, BUT I do think there was a reduction in how much hair I did lose.

If you suffer with rosacea, the AAD recommends this type of product because sulfate can irritate the skin and may lead to symptoms on your scalp as well as on your face, shoulders, and back. PROS: Lightweight. Lathers up nicely just like the shampoo, and it makes my hair shiny, silky and bouncy. Hair feels stronger as well. CONS: Just like the shampoo, it has a sweet and powdery sort of smell. It’s not bad to be honest…. It is just not my favorite scent. Also, $44 for a 6.8oz conditioner is out of my price range. Overall, I do recommend this product because it is doing a great a good job restoring the damage, resulted from coloring my hair for so long. The shampoo/conditioner combo really delivers!

This is really impressive. I LOVE how the products smell too. They remind me of a perfume I use to use years ago. The hair mask smells less fragrant but I still like how it leaves my hair feeling. All of the products are great and make my hair soft and smooth and amazing smelling. All of the products are easy to use and implement in my hair care routine. The only thing I don't like is that the applicator, the big dropper doesn't seem to work well. I usually end up getting serum somewhere I don't want or putting too much because I can't handle how much comes out of the dropper because some comes out even if I don't squeeze the top.
Nevertheless, I can't get enough of this stuff especially knowing it's making my hair stronger and healthier. I can't wait to see even better results as more time passes.

This fortifying shampoo gently removes sebum and pollution particles from the scalp, whilst strengthening the ends for added resilience and less breakage. The big thing for me was that unusually for a shampoo it felt clarifying and nourishing in all the right places, without weighing me down. Like that feeling when you find the perfect moisturiser for combination skin - the holy grail. Also, the smell deserves a special mention. It was created by a perfumer and is nothing short of salon-quality - fresh, citrusy and long-lasting.

Three weeks in now and I’ve used this serum daily and the shampoo and the mask every other day when I was my hair, coupled with a tangle teaser and some good hair oil, and my hair really has never been better. I’ve got baby hairs growing where I thought they’d never grow again! My receding hairline from constantly having my hair in a bun has almost come back! When I wash my hair I maybe get 10-12 hairs lost instead of the handfuls I was getting. I’m genuinely shocked. This isn’t a paid review. I paid full price for these products, and I will 100% be buying again.

After using this shampoo for a few weeks, I find that I don't have to clean my brush out as often. There has been less breakage, and I'm left with silky locks. The smell of this shampoo is just an added bonus, it's comparable to a light citrus scent. My favorite thing about Kerastase Genesis Strengthening Shampoo is that it doesn't leave my hair feeling weighed down, and doesn't leave a residue which usually makes my hair appear oily. This shampoo was a home run and I will be buying in the future!

I also have recently cut my hair to shoulder length, but would have had to use the whole sample bottle if I still had long hair. It didn’t “lather” like many shampoos do, and it seemed to do nothing for scalp health. Also, the smell is extremely strong, more like perfume than shampoo. Not something I would enjoy smelling on my head all day. But again, my hair seems to be stronger so it fulfilled its purpose. I, however, wouldn’t recommend to a friend unless I forwarned them of the downsides as well.

Additional bonus for me, was that I have fine hair, that easily looks limp and lacking volume if I use shampoos that are too heavy, but this one left in shiny and bouncy.
