I bought Elf Lip Lacquer in the shade Fantasy, which is a milky, shimmery, sheer baby pink shade. It adds a pop of shine and sheer color to my lips when applied alone, but my favorite way to use it is to apply it over a lipstick to get that perfect milky pink topper. This lipgloss retails for only three bucks and it performs like much more expensive lipglosses. I’m very satisfied and impressed with the elf Lip Lacquer.

items 7: content: I only have a handful of lip glosses so I decided to snap 3 of these up in what I was told were the most popular shades: Moody, Clear and Wild Rose. Before using I exfoliated with my Lush Bubblegum lip scrub and then I applied just 1 layer of this (Clear was my first choice). Clear, like the other two did not leave any hint of stickiness but still managed to give plenty of shine. Unfortunately as my lips are very slightly on the dark-pigmented side I didn't find this one very flattering, it almost highlighted/magnified the issue. Quickly wiped it off and then tried out the 'Moody'. Better than Clear but again I just wasn't that keen on it. Wild Rose however more than made up for the other two...a gorgeous pinky-nude, even better when I applied over lipstick (also E.L.F) the following day. Love it. And did I mention how hydrating these are? I have yet to reach for a lip balm before applying these. In fact I may just start applying Clear before bed time in place of a lip mask or balm. It works better than most of the balms I own plus I'll get to use it up that way. The only negative is that like most glosses, staying power is not great, I got around 3 hours with Wild Rose. Also, other than Clear which tasted neutral to me, I do get a slightly artificial fruity taste from these. They also smell quite sweet, like Vanilla or caramel - but not overpowering in any way. Verdict: for 3 dollars each I find these to be of excellent value and worth a try. For highly-pigmented, decent quality, non-tacky lip glosses at this price these are hard to beat! Hope to try out Mauve Glitz and Love Bite next, and will update here when I do. -- My Top 10 Beauty Must-Haves

Every time I wear it people compliment me and ask what gloss I am wearing. They are shocked when they find out it is only $2.00! You will be shocked as well because the color holds up very well. It is NOT transfer-proof nor does elf claim it is so don't put that expectation on it. However, you can eat a burger or pizza and still be left with a nice pink stain on your lips. Sometimes I'll reapply if I want that high shine back. Mostly I leave my lips alone after eating because the stain is quite attractive. It does have a candy-like flavor to it like old school glosses had.

I KEEP this lip gloss in my purse; it's not sticky (though I know some people with fuller lips enjoy that sticky thick gloss coverage, this one is lightweight and might not be for you) gives a high shine. I feel like it maybe runs about quickly, but I am also a chronic lip glosser lol, but at 3 dollars, I don't mind buying two at a time.
