detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: I write this having never experienced any other e-ink note-taking device. I have extensive experience with every other paperwhite reader though. Kindle hands down make the best paperwhite readers and this one is probably the best, most fluid reader I've had...and if you get the right case (NOT the folio kindle sells for 60 dollars, see my review of that under the item for more), it's quite comfortable even as just a large paperwhite reader. Obviously, if you're buying this you're not just in it for a paperwhite reader, if that's the case I recommend the 11th gen kindle paperwhite (I don't recommend the Oasis because its battery life is not nearly as good as the 10th or 11th gen, I've used them all, so I speak from experience), it's much more affordable than a scribe. Back to this scribe, it's awesome when taking notes and editing novels. You can send your own novels to the device, though I did have some trial and error doing so. I found that sending as word doc was the best because it presents your work as a book...with pdf I didn’t like how when I zoomed in it didn’t readjust to the pages etc. The scribe is super responsive and I like how the fountain pen makes my handwriting a little neater some how. I am looking forward to the update that's on the way that will let your in book notes STAY where you put them. It's annoying how it will throw the note box just wherever as it is now. I also look forward to having a place on the side to make notes, which they said will be coming soon. If you have the original scibe, I don't see the point in upgrading because all of the updates will be coming to you too, but I bought this because I didn't have any scribe. Overall, this is a solid purchase and is a bit less than the remarkable paper pro...for what I need it for, I couldn't justify spending the extra money on a remarkable etc.

title: Best paperwhite reader, fluid writing experience
detailedReviews 2: content: Do yourself a favor and buy this! Perfect for reading, writing, note-taking and study. If I would’ve had this in college I would’ve had the best notes and probably mastered content way easier and faster. I love that I can download virtually any book I want, even most textbooks from what I can can see which is perfect for a student and often cheaper than buying paperback. I love the AI functionality also. It transcribes my handwritten notes with superb accuracy. It could have more fonts to choose from and a bit more added functionality geared towards the note-taking features like adding shapes and symbols into the notes. If you like drawing from time to time on an edevice this would probably work for you also as you can do shading effects. The versatility of this is amazing for such a great price point. You can even make to-do lists, calendars, you name it. You can also purchase template books and calenders from the book store if you don’t love the templates that are pre-loaded. This product is really a home run. I’ve never been happier and more excited about any other kind of tablet, kindle, iPad or note taking device I’ve owned. I found out I can copy and paste notes I’ve made in books into my notebooks which is SO useful. The notebooks come with several templates to choose from making it very versatile. Battery life is great. Even with frequent use it lasts for several days at least without worrying about charging it up. The penciled screensaver art is a nice touch and you don’t deal with ad bombarding from the other devices. I wish you could save it to only show the screensaver you want as some are a bit childish. All around favorite device I’ve owned. I’m reading and writing way more often since owning this kindle scribe. The size is perfect for reading and writing. Fits comfortably in my lap without strain, and the pen is awesome. You can change the settings for the button on the pen to a functionality you use often. Buy the case to protect it and it’s easier to prop up and hold on in your lap.

title: Perfect for reading, writing, note-taking, and study
detailedReviews 3: content: The new Kindle Scribe is an excellent combination of an e-reader and note-taking device. It provides a smooth reading experience for thousands of books, as usual with the other Kindle models, and the writing options are great. The big screen makes reading very easy and a pleasant experience. The note taking options are helpful for organising notes for a range of different projects, studies, and activities, and keep everything in the same place. Although I do not have any experience with other e-ink devices I have found the writing on the Kindle Scribe to be outstanding and almost identical to writing on paper. My only point for improvement would be to include sync options for integration with cloud services, e.g., OneDrive or Google Drive, which may be added in the future.

title: Excellent e-reader and note-taking device combination
detailedReviews 4: content: The display on this really has to be seen in person to realize how much it is like an actual piece of paper! The text is very sharp and the fact that it can last months on one battery charge is pretty amazing.
The Scribe is a pretty thin piece of metal, but feels very solid, and I'm assuming the wider left side is designed that way to give you a good place to grip it since it would be difficult otherwise with how thin it is. The pen writes extremely well and even though I don't expect I'll use it much for taking notes in books (it's rare I do that) I do think I'll use it often for notes during sermons, to-do lists, and other random times that I would normally grab a piece of paper. I feel good knowing if the tip wears down it came with plenty of spares, it really is just fun to write with!
The device is kept extremely simple, which is good for most things but can be a little clunky when I think of just opening a document on my phone but with this I need to use an app on my phone to send the document to my Kindle and then open it. It's really not a big deal and is pretty quick, but I don't plan to do it for most documents, probably only for things that are longer reads. It makes sense of why it's perfect for ebooks...and I'm so excited that it automatically has my library of audio books as well!
Overall the Scribe is fantastic! It looks great, is thin and light, and will keep reading from hurting my eyes staring at a phone/computer screen. If you're an avid book reader (especially if you write notes in them) then this is a no-brainer, but even if that's not what you like to do it could still be worth getting for the times when you don't want to stare at a screen or lug around a bunch of books.

title: Display like paper, long battery, fun to write
detailedReviews 5: content: Using the world’s first 10.2” 300 ppi glare-free Amazon - Kindle Scribe, featuring the Paperwhite display and included Basic Pen, I can read and write as naturally as I do on paper. I can take notes within millions of titles in the Kindle Store, handwrite thoughts on sticky notes in my favorite book with the included Basic Pen, and the notes are automatically organized by book in one place, so that I can browse, review, and export them via email. So, I can create notebooks, journals, and lists, choosing from a variety of included templates like lined paper, grid paper, checklists, and more, which is super cool.
Using the Amazon - Kindle Scribe I can read and write comfortably day or night, whether immersing myself in a non-fiction book, or reviewing a document, Kindle Scribe has a large, high-resolution display, adjustable warm light, auto-adjusting front light, and larger font sizes for a personalized experience, which makes it super easy for me to use this awesome electronic device. Also, using this device I can read and write longer, since a single charge via USB-C powers months of reading and weeks of writing, and the Basic Pen never needs to be charged.
I have been using the Amazon - Kindle Scribe daily and love reading and writing using this awesome electronic device. I have already recommended the Amazon - Kindle Scribe to many of my friends and family and several of them have already purchased and used this device and they all love immersing themselves in the Kindle Scribe and love the amazing features of this device including its large, high-resolution display, adjustable warm light, auto-adjusting front light, and larger font sizes for a personalized experience.

detailedReviews 7: content: Purchased with a gift card from points I earned on a credit account and an upgrade from the Kindle Paperwhite. This is a HUGE improvement over my iPad pro’s overly-slick glass screen with Paperlike screen film. I’m able to write normally with far less hand strain. The AI text conversion and summarization is what set it apart from Remarkable’s entry. I would like to see the ability to link notes come to this device as a future upgrade soon.

title: Better than iPad for handwriting, AI conversion
detailedReviews 8: content: I am very impressed with the Kindle Scribe! Right out of the box, the battery had a significant amount of charge so I could set it up immediately. During setup, I was given the option to connect to WiFi and my Amazon account. And then it offers a free subscription of kindle unlimited and audible premium so I can fully experience all of the features. I love that! I downloaded my first book and got into several pages into it last night. The kindle is very pleasant on the eyes, even in the dark. (And of course, in dark mode!)
The scribe aspect of this kindle is so fun (and functional). You can open up the Notebook section on the bottom and it’s just blank sheets of paper. You can write/ draw whatever you like with the stylus and then swipe left if you want to add a new page. You can also create your own custom calendar, which I think it fun and therapeutic. And finally, you can add sticky notes to pages of the books you’re reading- and make hand-written notes there, too. This thing is fantastic.
The only downside I can see is that it doesn’t have any built in speakers to play the Audible books, so you have to be able to connect to a Bluetooth speaker to play/ hear those. But so far, my whole family has been enjoying this device.

detailedReviews 9: content: This tablet is so helpful. I can make as many notebooks as I want, organize them, and declutter my home from papers. I purchased the green, 64g with premium pen and leather case. The case works as a stand and is magnetic. The kindle allows for annotations l, notes on the pages, highlights and underlining. It can create flashcards and definitions for words to increase your vocab. I have become more articulate and knowledgeable since this purchase. I also enjoy the dark mode where you can read in complete darkness! The screen is nice and big which is easy on the eyes. I can't live without it now. O love emailing the annotations and printing out my notes which also shows the page number where the annotations were made..no more rummaging through pagesntrying to locaten your highlights. I have access to thousands of books through the kindle unlimited app, offers free trial, saved me tons of money and space! If you are a reader and writer, this is for you!

detailedReviews 10: content: I love the size of the screen on this kindle and its quick refresh rate when you turn to the next page. The green color is gorgeous and the writing experience is amazing. It feels like you’re really writing on paper. You can feel the friction on the tip of the stylus. Also, you can erase by using the eraser end and that eraser gives a bit and it too feels like a real eraser! I can go between reading my books and then writi g in the notebook section. I highly recommend this device.
