While it wasn't the basketball version that started my sneaker journey, the SB variant did take it's humble roots from a well established classic. Since that time, over half of my collection and daily rotation has been some form of dunk, while the other half was typically a Jordan 1 high or low silhouette, which is very very similar. Needless to say I'm a sucker for classics, and this pair doesn't veer off from it's famous and iconic formula that everyone has grown to love since they released in 1985.
The design is always simple and classic, but in a good way. The iconic sneaker can't be mistaken, and it's a staple in almost every sneakerheads closet. The paneling and color blocking is what I think really set the standard for most popular sneakers that have been around for years in the industry, and these are no exception. With a simple "Be True To Your School" vibe, these are a solid addition to the daily rotation. The two tone coloring can be paired with almost any neutral fit and work well, or a full color match outfit if you really want to show your team some spirit.
The materials on these are solid, although it appears to be the same iteration as it has been for years, I feel the subtle improvements over time with production processes and implementing more sustainability in the factories has helped improve overall quality and construction to an already superb sneaker. I wore these for about a week daily, and there's barely even a hint of creasing in the toe area, which is unheard of for most rigid leather shoes of this design. While not a luxe pair of sneakers, they aren't trying to be something they are not. It's a classic made for a simple reason, versatility and function.
If you don't own a pair of dunks, in any form, what are you waiting for? I know everyone was on the Air Force 1 wave for a hot minute, but these are so much more functional and comfortable in my opinion, although I have to give credit to another classic where it's due. I honestly don't think I'd ever want the formula to change on something as iconic as this. Grab a pair, or at least a couple in multiple colors, and you truly won't regret it.

detailedReviews 2: content: The Classic Nike Dunk has been seen wore frequently by many people. So when I was able to get my hands on these, I knew I was in for a treat!
Upon feeling the shoe, the materials of the shoe wasn’t anything to scream about. But the shoe felt well built and sturdy. The leather upper felt smooth and the rubber soles had good grip. So while the materials that were put together to make this shoe isn’t the most expensive and rich quality, it will get the job done.
I had immediately noticed how low to the ground I felt once I put my feet into the shoe. But I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised as the Nike Dunks were originated for Skateboarding, Nike Dunk SBs. Hence it made sense to the low to the ground feel of the shoe. Additionally, the base of the shoe wasn’t anything wide. This was great for my feet as my feet are naturally wide so anytime I buy shoes that are narrow I would have to go a half size up. So the Nike Dunk low being a naturally wider shoe was a plus in my opinion! The slight padding behind the heels of the shoe allows some cushion to my heels when walking around which felt great!
When it comes to the occasions for wearing the Nike Dunk, this shoe could be wore mainly for casual wear or light active wear. The shoe can be wear with sweatpants or it can be paired with jeans! The Nike dunk is extremely versatile with its simplistic colorway, allow me to wear the shoe without needing to think too hard on what to wear when going out!
Overall the design of the shoe is simple and basic. But I believe it’s simplicity and basic look is what makes this shoe so popular and easy to wear. The shoe is released in hundreds of different colorways giving those who wear the Nike dunk different options and a sense of versatility when wearing it.
Because of this, the simplicity of the design is what I loved most about the shoe! It is easy to wear, if I wanted to go out for a quick groceries run, I can easily wear them without worrying about dirtying the shoe. Additionally, because of the leather upper, cleaning the shoe is extremely easy to do!
On the other hand, what I wished I could change about the Nike dunks would be the cushioning of the shoe. I feel as though there isn’t enough cushion to the shoe when I was walking around in the shoe. Therefore after a certain amount of time, my feet would begin to hurt because I’ve been walking for so long! But I believe with some extra cushioning to the shoe, the shoe can be extremely comfortable as the uppers of the shoe are really comfortable already.
Overall, you can’t go wrong with these. The Nike Dunk has became really popular in the recent years, and I now understand what makes them so popular! I would 100% recommend these to my friends and family and these would a great addition to your closet!

Whether you are trying to dress casual bummed down in sweat pants or heading out for a nice dinner. They always fit comfortable and leave plenty of movement space for the widest foot to not feel pinched down. Absolutely love the shade of green on this pair. Not too bright to stick out like a lime and not too dark where the color would get hidden. Wore these to the office a couple times already and my co workers were loving them showering me with compliments, especially since I don’t normally wear green myself. But these shoes are making me inspired to make them work with more outfits whether it’s casual or going into the office or running errands. The quality control on this pair was top notch, didn’t notice any loose fibers or glue marks. The material felt quality and sturdy enough to not be damaged too bad by creasing or wear over the years, nobody wants their shoes to start talking hahaha. I’ve been an avid fan of the dunk low silhouette for years now and will continue to do so because of how timeless it is.

detailedReviews 4: content: I have the retro green dunks low. The quality of the shoe is significantly lower than the earlier renditions of the dunks. I have been wearing dunks for decades. The quality on the SB models as well as the personal customized ones are considerably better. The dunk lows have a very stiff leather and will be much easier to see creases to take away from the biggest selling point of the shoe, which are the aesthetics. My toebox cut is significantly different from one another, so much that if you look at it from top down it looks like completely different shoes. As a wide / flat-footed individual, breaking in the dunks for everyday casual wear (what I think this shoe is best for), should be easy and quick. I can only recommend this shoe if you are very aware of the current dunk quality and you really want this color aesthetic, otherwise I think that there are other shoes that would be a better value for you, whether that be aesthetics or shoe quality. I am not saying that this is a terrible shoe and you should not buy it but I think the competition is strong I'm worth further considerations.

Fit:
The shoes run true to size comfortably. There is no break-in period needed and they fit very well right out of the box.
Quality:
These are the ideal casual wear shoe. The green and white color blocking is especially great as a summertime color way and goes well with mostly any outfit. The leather is soft and plush yet durable, and scuffs were easily wipeable to keep the upper looking fresh. Constructed mainly of leather material upper, the shoe is incredibly comfortable and lightweight.
Final thoughts:
These are a great shoe that can be worn casually, but also has the functionality to be worn as a dailies for hours on end. While the sole of the shoe may be a bit more flat compared to other sneakers that are designed for performance, I experienced virtually no foot fatigue after a full day of use.

detailedReviews 6: content: I really went back and forth on this purchase because the “design your own” price is no joke, and there isn’t a single coupon out there that works on them. You’re paying full price, rain or shine, but I finally but the bullet.
I normally wear a 9.5men’s/11women’s, but I get a 10men’s/11.5women’s in my dunks and lows. I don’t NEED the extra space per se, but it’s more comfortable.
I’m not sure it’s totally obvious, but I wanted to state that the animal print is a different texture than the normal. I don’t think I was quite aware of that because I was kinda surprised when I saw the shoes. I tried to show in the pictures the texture so you can see the slight difference in color.
That was another thing I was nervous about. I was worried the colors would look different from my phone screen to real life, but they were pretty much spot on.
Overall, I’m glad I did this, and I want to design another pair now. Luckily, it’s cost prohibitive (for me anyway) to do it too often or I’d be ordering my second pair already.

detailedReviews 7: content: As a father of high school athletic children and a father of 5, it’s very important that I keep up with the style to be cool in my kids eyes as well as get a nice shoe that is made to go with any style. This shoe did just that and I can wear this shoe out and about, taking care of my wife as a caregiver, walking my dog, working out as well as just to church.
The fit was a tad bit snug around the width of the shoe. Outside of that it fit perfect and was comfortable. Even with the shoe being not laced all the way, it didn’t flop so it fit perfect. The feel of the shoe felt wonderful.
I loved the design especially being a low top shoe which made it very versatile. I was able to wear it casually and even was able to dress it business casual.
The fabric felt very durable and very easy to keep clean and clean. The grip on bottom of shoe was great and even held up during the snow and ice and I wasn’t sliding around.
I liked the design of the shoe the most I would just change the top width to be a tad bit wider.

But the fit is exceptional and my favorite part of the shoe. They are sneaky comfortable and the inner lining is comfortable against the top of my foot and lower ankle. The weight of the shoe is very light but still offers snugness in the fit and sole that make it comfortable. I have had dunks before but forgot how comfortable they were and these are a great reminder. I like the leather exterior which is malleable but not rigid - relatively to some other options like suede, this is much easier to keep clean and shiny. I don’t recall ever having green shoes before and while the color is not my favorite, the shoes have grown on me, largely due to how comfortable they are.

The green is nice emerald looking green and with the white accent as well the shoe is very clean and neat and it pops as well with outfit you want to go with! I have lots of the dunk low retros and I love the design it’s very simplistic and nothing to crazy just the perfect shoe to put on to go side by side with a great outfit! The fabric seems to be very well put together and I know since I take care of my shoes they will last me 10 plus years easily. The dunk low retro’s are also very easy to keep clean and maintain. A little dirt won’t ruin this shoe by any means lol!
What I like the most about the shoe is the comfort and then I really love having a green shoe! My number 1 option is usually Blue. To have that green shoe I have so many options I can mix and match between shirt, pants and socks.

The feel of the shoes are what you want in a daily wear shoe. They are low tops the ground, stylish, simple, and versatile. The materials used will allow me to wear them for a long time. It gives me comfort knowing they will last a long time. The design is classic and timeless. You can use them for a lot of occasions. To work, to run errands, social gatherings, etc. the design makes it incredibly easy to wear this shoe. A problem I had was wearing these shoes too much because of how easy it matched and how effortless it is to style. The fabric is also great. Made with durable materials especially the sole. It provides a lot of life and use. One thing I would add would be an insole that has extra cushion, but nonetheless I love the shoe for its versatility.
