detailedReviews: detailedReviews 1: content: This laptop has been a most awesome example of what a budget friendly device should bring to the table for a consumer. I purchased this for my oldest daughter, 17yrs old, who was always wanting a dedicated gaming laptop.
In truth, im very selective and very loyal when it comes to electronics. I came up in an era when the one constant truth in the electronics market was that ypu get what you pay for, and though im afraid this constant may prove to be just as fluid and ever changing as the nature of tech itself, and i believe that brand loyalty may not even be a factor to use in cholsing which is best for you, but manufacturers like Samsung, Apple, Dell, etc... each came reliable in representing a specific level of quality, functionality reliability etc within that spectrum of getting what you pay for. So i used to ONLY purchase specific brands for different needs; i.e. only galsxy devices for cellular and mobile device needs, Dell for at home and on the go computing needs, and there are more but ill leave it at that. I followed this jig of a template fot those type purchases so much that id experience anxiety when considering new brands etc... needless to say i didnt stray very often, and was punished by lesser quality or inferiority in general whenever i did.
I researched Lenovo for several years before picking this up, and what i always came to was that consumers similar to me found that Lenovo often is underrated so badly that they are forced into a black hole that can mean death for a manufacturer, a black hole where theyre popping out these devices containing the most cutting edge and up to date internals and hsrdware as well as software but are forced to sell them at very, very, VERY low prices due to people like me never giving them a proper chance. For the consumer, this is a situation that should be illegal whete qere fettinv the top of the line loaded devices for next to nothing.
Here are my thoughts on this Lenovo...
PROS.
Its chassis is a good sturdy grade of aircraft aluminum, offering excellent form, sturdy under stress, and is surprisingly light. It does use some integrated plastics in with the chassis but its a high grade extrusion of it that provides weight as well ads sturdiness.
Still dont hold it in the air by the lid when its open, think we all know never to do that to sny device. The weight will break the screen. Not on mine, just an unwritten rule.
Has a great refresh rate with an excellent display. The screen is no-hum that some do jot like but i find it a good mark.
The RGB backlit keyboard is a must have bc i hate to lose my hands on it when typing in tge dark, it REALLY helps.
and the 15.6" IPS display. If yoi buy it youll know what im meaning.
The cutout of sorts for the webcam is something usually mentioned as being a CON. I like it bc its not a clunky protrusion but does serve me well as a kind of a tab to help opening this easily. I have a 2016 model of a Dell inspiron 15-7568 2in1 that i literally have to hold down the bottom pretty stiff to be able to open the lid. Its a hassle, but nlt with this one.
Battery life has served me well as i use this for designing prototypes when not playing fortnite, which it runs well, very well.
CONS.
None ive found thus far.

title: Awesome budget gaming laptop, sturdy build
detailedReviews 2: content: Likely the best bang for your buck value if you want to play modern titles (Marvel Rivals, Horizon Zero Dawn) for a reasonably portable and reasonably cool device. I’ve had this for a few months now and I’ve yet to run into any major issues. Here are some of my favorite features:
Design - sleek, matte gray finish, matte display, screen size, rear ports - This laptop delivers on gaming performance while still appearing work-friendly. My favorite, FAVORITE thing ended up being the matte finish. My last laptop was a black ASUS and that drove me nuts! This will look cleaner and likely last longer. As an added bonus that some may prefer, most of the essential ports are on the back—so for example, your charger won’t hang off the side and get in the way of the keyboard (unless you’re charging thru USB C).
Function - USB C charging, upgradeable - It is especially convenient to have one cable for most of my devices, and this feature seems to be uncommon on gaming laptops. Also, easy future proofing is included! You can upgrade the RAM slots and there is an additional empty SSD slot.
Minor Drawbacks… considering price to performance, my personal gripes may not bother you:
Design - No left-facing ports? Still hefty, no smaller options - 5 pounds is decent, but the aluminum Legion somehow manages a pound less. And this is more of a pipe dream than a gripe with this model—but I would love an LOQ designed in the same vein as the Legion Slim! 14.5in is especially a great screen size for balancing portability and visibility. But it’s hard to argue with the standard 15.6in of this LOQ. My confusion with the design is that for whatever reason, all available ports are on the back.. and then a few are scattered only on the right side. I feel that one more USB C on the left would have been perfect!
Function - Battery Life, just falls short in number of ports - Regarding battery life, that is just an unfortunate side effect to gaming laptops, but this one runs low especially quick! Always keep a charger nearby.
Overall, I do still love this laptop, and expect to use it for years to come. This has a great design and although it’s not necessarily cheap, it is a really good price for a powerful gaming laptop!

detailedReviews 3: content: Not a big gamer, but a fan of the specs and price point on this laptop for work and music production. Build quality is solid, though I hear the chassis scratches very easily, so I’ve been careful with that. I do wish it came with a 1tb SSD, as 512gb just doesn’t seem quite enough in 2025.
I’ve only had it for about a month, but everything is smooth and running efficiently (knock on wood). When running a new-ish game, the fans definitely spin up pretty loud. Not alarmingly, but they make themselves known.
Battery is pretty mediocre as it’s only 60w, but I know this is a common complaint. I’m almost always near power or docked at my desk, so this hasn’t been an issue yet. I did check estimated time remaining on power saver mode, and from 100%, it was estimated around 4-4.5 hours. The 7435HS has no integrated GPU, so the 4060 is always on, which doesn’t help battery life. Again, not something super critical for my application.
I know it isn’t the best screen you can buy, but I didn’t expect it to be. And for my purposes, it looks great. Details are sharp, colors look good, refresh rate helps everything look smooth.
I’ve read complaints about the speakers, but it’s a laptop. If I’m doing anything where audio quality is important, I’m wearing headphones anyway.
Overall a solid laptop for its price point - time will tell if it remains reliable.

detailedReviews 4: content: The core hardware (RTX 4060 and Ryzen7) is what makes this a good deal. The 512GB SD card is what is tough for a gaming laptop but that's a relatively easy fix. Combined with the bloatware and subscription that comes preloaded you will definitely want a 1TB upgrade.
My main issue is that the fans on my laptop are DOA. They are not detected and this is after updating the laptop BIOS, using Lenovo Vantage, Lenovo UEFI diagnostics, etc. And worse, a Lenovo Vantage hardware scan reports it's "Healthy" when the CPU and GPU are hitting 99C.
The LOQ bios is so locked down that the settings are basically useless and so is the Vantage application.
The build quality is decent, what I'd expect at this price point. It honestly is the software and firmware that is extremely poor.
Overall, good budget hardware ruined by... bloat, "encrappification" (The Lenovo Vantage Application pushes a subscription for security and yet another subscription for "performance.") and poor QA.
Taking this in for warranty so I will update if possible, hopefully this is a simple fix but it still leaves a very bad impression.

title: Good hardware, poor software and QA
detailedReviews 5: content: Note: I'm not a gaming computer expert so sorry if I sound silly.
I've only had the laptop for several weeks now and so far, I've been surprised with how well it runs most of my games. I've tested it with games like Halo, Team Fortress 2, Splitgate, Kingdom Come, etc. These games were running in mid-high settings and that was with the basic performance setting on for the laptop.
The biggest thing I like about the laptop is how simple it looks. I feel like I could bring this out in public and I won't get weird looks. It's simple, doesn't have any RGB stuff inside, and doesn't attempt to make it look flashy.
The overall frame/case of the laptop is good. It is primarily a hard plastic that might handle a couple drops (haven't tested this). It doesn't bend and it feels sturdy.
The built-in Lenovo software is also somewhat useful. I've tested other products with their built-in gaming software and often it is a little overwhelming and hard to look at. Lenovo keeps it simple and has basic options to boost performance, which is nice for me.
Overall, the laptop has some great qualities, but there are a few issues.
Issues:
1. The battery isn't great. At most, it could probably last 4 and half hours, and that's if you don't do anything computationally heavy like playing a game. I've checked and you can't upgrade the battery, The only real redeeming quality for the battery is that it recharges quickly and the charging port is in the back (which is convenient).
2. The screen could be a little better. While it is HD and simple, I've noticed it could randomly lag depending on what is on screen. Not the hugest issue.
3. The laptop is almost a tank. It is heavy and bulky. I know most gaming laptops are like this, but this seems excessive compared to other laptops I've looked at.
4. Like any other gaming laptop, the fan is loud.
I think if you find this laptop on sale and it fits your budget, you should get it. It runs well and most of the issues I stated above aren't the hugest issues for a budget gaming laptop. I hope Lenovo releases a better battery soon.

title: Good qualities but battery and weight issues
detailedReviews 6: content: For $1000, the specs are solid. There are no bleeding edge features here, like PCIE 5.0 or the latest USB speeds. It won't walk your dog or effortlessly run your art plagiarizing AI programs, and it does come with a Copilot button that needs Powertoys if you want it to do something useful. But what you do get is a solid keyboard, a bright IPS screen at 144hz, a full-size set of arrow keys, and enough gaming performance to at least play some of the latest titles at playable framerates and decent graphical settings too. I've been using mine to play Wuthering Waves and FFXIV, and I could even get 3D work done on it, with very good rendering performance on par with my 2080 Super rig at home. Audio and battery life are as one would expect from a modern laptop, that being very serviceable but not mindblowing, which is a theme of this laptop. Storage is very much on the low side if you want to play modern games on it, but you can throw in an additional SSD up to 4TB if I remember correctly. RAM is also upgradeable to 32GB as well.
If you need the laptop equivalent of a Honda Civic, grab this one.

detailedReviews 7: content: Decent 1080p gaming laptop for decent price. This is a great entry product to the Nvidia 4000-series. It plays most games at 1080p well over 60 and even over 120 fps. It's a good price and honestly pretty durable. It has two m.2 slots that are gen 4x4 pcie. They can fit 2280 but I recommend one 2280 and one 2242 cause one of the slots has a socket that just out and slightly will bend your 2280 ssd. You can also upgrade the ram and the Wi-Fi adapter, which I do recommend cause the mediatek Wi-Fi isn't that great. It comes with two 8gb ram sticks which you can upgrade. Ddr5 5600. Overall, I truly enjoy this laptop. I got it open box for a great deal and with Lenovo's 4 year accidental protection for under $100, you cannot go wrong. I did not rate battery life cause I only use this plugged in. The 4060 is the only graphics. It does not have integrated graphics. But windows does a good job of maintaining power usage when not gaming. Dont listen to that YouTube review that says otherwise. Software isn't stupid these days. When not gaming it does not run hot. It runs very quiet and very very low voltage when not gaming or idle.

detailedReviews 8: content: Excellent gaming laptop at a very reasonable price.
Had it for a few weeks now and have had no issues. I haven't played any games that are SUPER demanding on graphics yet but I can tell that it'll handle most modern, recent games. I personally like the numeric pad and the slightly more sleek, professional design. It also feels like quite a robust laptop (maybe slightly heavier than I expected?) but it certainly feels like a more expensive laptop than it actually is. The cooling fans are also relatively quiet. It has 3 USB-A(ss) but only one USB-C - not a problem for me, but might sway some people. The battery is not great (maybe 4 hours at a push) but that is to be expected for a budget model and doesn't bother me.
Overall, if you're pondering on buying this, I'd just go ahead and buy it because it's a solid, well-performing gaming laptop at a great price.

detailedReviews 9: content: I've been looking for a budget gaming laptop right before Black Friday, there's just so many to choose from! My budget was 600-800 but even in this range you've got a lot of options.
Pros:
* Price - I've got this during Black Friday so it was 300 bucks off. Can't beat this!
* Graphics card - Not many (in this price range) comes with RTX 4060
* Memory - Already comes with 16GB that's a plus.
* Additional m.2 slot - Score! For additional storage space
* Upgradeable - easy to swap new m.2 or memory should you decide to upgrade
* Built-in Ethernet - not that I use this a lot but it's the thought that counts!
* Speed - it's fairly fast for the $$$, memory and disk could improve the score even higher. Check passmark scores for details
Cons
* Battery - Plenty of people pointed this out, this battery is horrible! Rated at 3789mAh
* Memory - Not the fastest at 4800 MT/s
* Disk - Not complaining about 512GB size but the speed is below average at best. It's a Micron 2400 m.2 gen4 actual read speed is up to 4,200 MB/s with write speed up to 1,800 MB/s
* Single USB-c port - Seriously, really?? A hub is a must!
* Bulky power supply - Typical but you can get a smaller / lightweight 100W USB-c charger from Anker for 24 bucks. I use this when traveling.
* Weight - yes this thing is heavy!
* Fan Noise - Oh boy, if you're gaming hard the fans will kick in high gear (along with the noise)
Wrap-up - I'm happy with the purchase, it's not the perfect laptop but what is. Yes battery is an issue if you're traveling, just make sure you're close to an outlet and you're good! If you can get this during a sale, go for it!

detailedReviews 10: content: Performance:superb
Performance: Fast and can run at high graphic games smoothly.
Build: Personally to me it felt quite sturdy.
Temperature: On idle gpu temp usually 38-44. Meanwhile on gaming the highest gpu temp I noticed was 70+. Note that your games may differ from my games.
Battery: Since it does not have i-gpu and use the main gpu, it drain so quick. But for my situasion where my laptop rarely change location and always plug in. I can take the setback in exchange for value.
Misc: Exhaust position suit my taste, cool on the sides. 3 port A, okayish amount. Headphones jack easy to detect and use. White keyboard lighting is too bright for me in the dark. For the weight, I think it is acceptable for flight with charger brick included, if you need bring a lot more things in the bag I guess it is still cannot beat more thin or other lightweight laptop.

detailedReviews 11: content: Let me tell you thing: for the $700 sale that BestBuy has this laptop is perfect for this price. I'm not going to go in to specs you can look in the item's description. The cons are: the screen is I think 300 nits brightness or so that means the best place to play is in a "dark" room. Also the screen is 1080P I wished it was 1440P but hey it's $700. The big pros are: being able to upgrade. I upgraded the ram from 16GB to 32GB and rams are cheap. There is an additional empty NVME slot so I put in a 4TB. Again NVME is cheap compared to "Apple" lol I guess you can put more than 4 TB. So yes you can upgrade. Don't expect high frame rates although the graphic series is the 4000s but it is only the 4060. Remember this is not a laptop to take without charger! This is a portable laptop that although it is portable it needs the charger. If you need a really portable laptop look for something else.

However as the laptop arrived, I found a small stuck pixel which I couldn't resolve on my own. That's the only thing I was pretty disappointed about. Otherwise it's an awesome laptop so far. The fan is quite loud during gaming and that is expected for a gaming laptop (if you are having your partner in your room or someone, be mindful...it can be quite disturbing for them) it sounds like rain. Very quiet during idle or doing light work like browsing or office stuff. Hinges are pretty sturdy build, but then I rarely close the lid anyway. Keyboard is satisfying. White backlit. Chassis is plastic but it feels really solid. Overall pretty satisfied. I will post any update if necessary

detailedReviews 13: content: Competitive gaming performance, but lacks on battery life due to not having iGPU(integrated) and has subpar speakers(as do most budget laptops). If your goal is endurance this may not be the one for you, but as a plug-in this laptop may surprise you. To make for an even better performer upgrade RAM 32gb(16x2)DDR5 5600mhz SODIMM and 500gb-1tb PCIe Gen4 NVMe 2280 M.2 SSD on available 2nd open slot as I did, then you're in the game of a mid-high rig while still within a good budget. Stays fairly cool open or with lid shut under load, which I haven't found the need for a cooling pad. I opted for this laptop myself knowing I plan to run plugged and with my budget in mind made for the best option having an RTX 4060 8gb and FHD 144hz refresh rate 300nits at this price point(or better, on sale + excellent open box = steal). With that being said I recommend this laptop keeping these points in mind.

It has up to 144hz refresh rate, which was a deal breaker for me to purchase this laptop. I just want a laptop for multitasking, and watching high resolution videos without lag and distortion, and it delivers. It comes with some extras such as Nahimic. I was able to customize the sound experience with Nahimic. I also have two 100hz HP monitors that work very well with this laptop. The only thing with the monitors connected is I can only use 100hz and not the full 144hz maximum...not really an issue. The downside with the laptop is that the fans are loud when they kick in. But they only run occasionally.

detailedReviews 15: content: This product is great! It's fast, runs well, and is just such a great laptop. The rear usb and LAN connections work are a nice touch. The Levono Advantage app that come with the laptop allows you to set different fan speeds for Quiet, Balanced, and Performance. It also gives you an update to the wear and tear of each component inside of the computer.
My only complaints would be the battery life(which is expected from a gaming laptop. It does, however, charge incredibly quickly, so if it is running out of juice, it won't take too long to charge back up), storage size, and probably the power cable connector. Its on the back right next to the usb, so when its dark and I can't see the labels, I have tried to cram it in the usb port.

detailedReviews 17: content: Careful potential buyers. This particular CPU, the AMD Ryzen™ 7 7435HS, does not have integrated graphics. This means that the laptop will always run on its discrete graphics, the rtx 4070 mobile, and consequently it will consume a lot of power, rendering this laptop not so mobile without its charger. Also, these days, on a 15.60" laptop I expect a better display. I find this 1920 x 1080 resolution quite small, especially for only 144 Hz refresh rate and 300 cd/m².

- Service center they couldn't find anything, I came back home
- still shocks
- called again, told I cant go to service center
- they sent a technician
- finally found out adapter they had send has faulty

hopefully the shocks will go

detailedReviews 24: content: Got this laptop for 3d modeling and slicing. It is supper quick and everything I need for this task. Great size for watching streaming as well. It has extra slots to expand memory if you need to.
It is an intro level Gaming laptop with a good processor, and decent mid level graphics card.
It is a heafty laptop. It is not an supper portable work laptop. I belive it has a 110 watt power supply, so be aware you standard docking station will still work for monitors, but not to power the laptop.

The design is sleek, and the cooling system works well even during long sessions. The 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD ensure fast performance, and it’s upgradeable, which is a plus.
Battery life is average for a gaming laptop, but overall, it’s a great value for gamers and power users alike. Highly recommended!

detailedReviews 26: content: This product is NOT bluetooth compatible. Yes, it claims "bluetooth compatability", but it will not work with any bluetooth devices. Audio is corrupted and jumps in and out, and other devices won't connect outright. Headphones are a non-starter. You can uninstall certain devices in "device manager" as a work around, but the laptop will automatically reinstall them later and you will be forced to uninstall and restart daily. Just save yourself the trouble (and money) and buy a laptop designed for the 21st century

detailedReviews 28: content: The Lenovo LOQ with an RTX 4060 offers impressive performance for its price. It handles modern games ( Rust or even Ready or not ) smoothly at 1080p with high settings, and the cooling system keeps things stable. Sleek and modern design, display is great, trackpad feels consistent, keyboard is perfect with the numpad and the ventilation provides enough cooling to keep temps low. Laptop hasn’t felt hot at all even when playing a relatively heavy game like Cyberpunk at max graphics. The only downside is the battery life but obviously that’ll be a problem due to the high performance GPU and CPU. Absolutely worth the $700 I bought it for :)

detailedReviews 31: content: I use this laptop for video editing and gaming and it excels at both. I have never used this laptop without it being plugged in, and it actually has a “smart charging” feature that means I don’t need to unplug it to preserve battery life. However, this setting needs to be turned on in Lenovo Vantage- hence the 4 star rating to its battery life. It is capable of running “unoptimized” games such as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and Marvel Rivals at high graphical settings with ease. At the moment, my main complaint is the number of USB-c ports: there is only one, and I wish there were more.

The battery of course is short, 3-4 hours, but not a problem since I often use it plugged up, and if anything ever I can buy a laptop power bank. The performance is incredible, the keys are big and quiet, which actually makes a difference since I tend to work late with it. I use it mostly for building web apps but have played FC 25 (FIFA) with a friend who has a PS5, online cross play with mic, which was awesome (bought a ps5 controller), and it did amazing! It runs smoothly and if you are just listening to music, typing documents and doing research online the battery hold out well. But for a gaming you need to have it plugged in. Love the build quality too nice solidly built. Downsides to this are it's quite heavy for a 15 inch laptop, probably heaviest ive seen since like 2005 lol. detailedReviews 67: content: This is a great laptop for light gaming and work. I stream from this laptop, I make indie games in godot with it, I do stuff for work with it, and I game with it. The only thing it is missing is a option to change the keyboard backlight color. Other than that and small drive size (there is one nvme gen 4 expansion slot) this is a great computer so far and I am pleased with it

detailedReviews 70: content: The laptop has been good so far. The battery does not last very long even when not gaming. Even in battery save mode, you still only get about 3 hours without heavy resource utilization. It stays cool and runs quietly when doing most tasks. It is bulky and heavy, which is not a big deal for me.

detailedReviews 87: content: Just bought one.. It's pretty good, butttt the battery life is veryyyy bad :/ I only get about 2 hours on a single charge with power saving on. Without gaming, but to say the least the gaming performance isn't too bad, but comparing my PC to this is a drastic difference sadly. The only thing that makes me think about returning this thing is the battery life. but otherwise it's pretty standard.
